Wonderful meal. We enjoyed the fresh fish and appreciate that the chef was able to accommodate making a dish for someone in our party with multiple food allergies.
sneak a date
I had a wonderful afternoon date with my love, we both love seafood and she just dies for octopus she had hers grilled, mine was calamari she also had the oyster dish, that was prepared with a little too much spinach. I enjoyed the catfish and a side of creole rice fish needed a little more seasoning but was cooked well, creole sauce wow just great. Overall: a great experience we will be back.

There is a very nice wine list available, it was my first time seeing a half bottle of wine which is perfect for two people. The food was average, lacked flavor but good portions.

Tin Fish Best in Southwest Suburbs
We are never disappointed when we go to the Tin Fish. Great service, perfectly prepared fish and great variety of selections. Highly recommend Tin Fish.
Great seafood; hidden gem
The fish is always fresh. Curtis, the owner, is attentive to his guests and knows his seafood and wine. Ask for Nicole for your server. She is fantastic.

The food here has always been excellent. My wife had the halibut steak and I had shrimp and oysters. They also have a great wine selection.
Great Place to Relax and Catch Up with Friends
Tin Fish is a great spot to relax, have a fine dinner and catch up with friends. The wait staff was wonderful, attentive, knowledgeable, and did not rush us out the door. They allowed us to have a lovely Friday evening dinner. Nicole G was fantastic!
food nothing to brag about..its okay....
We ordered the lobster bisque soup, it was very beefy tasting, not crab or lobster; The portions are small considering the $$$ amount you pay. we both had small meals and two drinks ...our bill was well over 100.00 atmosphere - none, and very loud, not for a romantic meal. food is average.

Jose was a very personable, very knowledgeable server.
I took my family there for a birthday dinner since my mom loves fish. Everything we had was very good. The disappointing moments were when I ordered something twice on the menu and they no longer served the items. Please update the menus...
good food, but overpriced
I ordered seared scallops, which were delicious. My friend ordered the ribeye, which was a poor quality steak with a high quality price. Sides and desserts overpriced. Bread service was cold. Expect warm fresh bread at that price. Clam chowder good flavor, but no clams in it. Would go back if prices were better.
Food good, pricey, service fair
Good but pricey. Food was good....service was attentive but brusque. The ambiance just fair....I have seen this restaurant is popular.....and it wasn't bad but the value was not there for me. If I wasn't on an expense account..and I wasn't for this dinner...I probably would not go back.
Great option during Lent.
Great option during Lent.
Skin was left on whitefish- not acceptable. Cornmeal crust was pointless as it came off when I removed skin. On line price menu incorrect. No Bud- and beer prices are wrong. Needs update. Service very good.

The food was awesome and the service was even better. Nicole was an awesome waitress and was very informative.
My wife and I once again went to Tin Fish for superbly prepared fresh seafood and we were not disappointed. My wife's scallops were a recommendation by our waiter (Joseph) and they were delicious. I selected the salmon special which was one of the best I have had in recent memory. Overall we had a great meal and excellent service. We left with a smile on our face and a stomach that was well satisfied.
Great Place for Out of Towners
We really wanted seafood, and we picked the right place. Ordered Lake Superior Whitefish (sautéed) with the bacon and shallot braised brussel sprouts. YUMMO! Hubby's steak was cooked to perfection (we like medium-rare). Four diners and all of us loved the food.
Not as good as the past
I have had several good dinners at the Tin Fish, but my last experience was disappointing. We had two fish dinners and both the Sea Bass and the Walleye were nothing to brag about or recommend.
waaaaay over priced!!!!!!
ive had sooooo much better food and MORE OF IT at Cy's.which is where i PLANNED on going until i found out theyd closed while moving to a different location... ANY OTHER PLACE has better portion amounts at BETTER prices and better QUALITY. the ambiance was nowhere to be found. what a joke. waste of my hard earned money... 2 crab legs for $60?? what a JOKE...
Tin Fish is a hidden gem. The seafood is excellent quality and the Chef is a master at preparing it! I have had many of their most popular dishes and have yet to taste one that I would not recommend. The Sea Bass and Sea Scallops are my two favorites, unless the Nantucket Bay Scallops are in season.....then I have them!! The service is terrific, with the wait staff being attentive but not overbearing. They are well versed in the elements of their menu. It is a little on the expensive side, however, so worth it!
Great Seafood in the South 'Burbs
Wonderful seafood and sides. Can't miss with the Buffalo Shrimp. Service was great without being obtrusive. It's worth the trip!!
Best place for fresh fish
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the food. The service is outstanding and the staff and owner really care that their guests are happy and satisfied. The bartender makes fantastic drinks and the chef always comes up with a unique dessert . I enjoy seeing the specials on the menu but have a hard time deciding because the regular menu is so good!
I've always liked this restaurant but in my most resent visit I felt the crab legs weren't as good as usual
The food is whack!
The food was bland!! I tasted SEVEN different entrées and SEVERAL apps and nothing made me say "oh that's good!" Nothing made me want to return actually I wished I'd never even came. Save your money!! Hamadas is right around the corner and they're delish...go there!!

We were very disappointed. We may not return .
My husband had the blackened cat fish and it was not up to his standards. I had the white fish and it was tasteless.

Initial tuna was overlooked but our server corrected the mistake and fixed the problem without me saying a word. Very impressed with the recognition on his part!
Service and food were outstanding.
Flounder was very good. Wife got the scallops and loved them. Overall, the food and service was outstanding. A bit pricier than our normal dinners (Two beers, Two Entres, and appetizer came to $95), but we will probably return for a special occasion. I would definitely recommend Tinfish to friends.
Perfect for special occasions
My boyfriend and I went to tin fish for Valentine's Day and the food was excellent and the drinks were delicious! And last but certainly not least, the dessert was decadent. Their chocolate mousse was to die for. I definitely recommend this restaurant for the food, the ambiance and the service.

Booked a reservation for 6:00pm through Open Table and walked in about twenty minutes before. We were seated right away. The waitress was very nice and attentive and the food was very good. We ordered the grouper, parmesan chicken, and filet mignon. They were all delicious.
My very favorite restaurant!!! The food is THE BEST and the service and owner are WONDERFUL!!!
This was my first time at this restaurant. Overall the experience was good. However, the manager or general manager (I am unsure which) was walking around after people had their meals to ask how they were doing. He never came to our table, which was absolutely fine with us as I don't really care for that. What bothered me is that he apparently knew the people sitting behind us and literally stood there the entire time we were eating chatting it up with them. He went on and on about various topics such as fishing and the like. Great for him. I didnt need to hear this. I felt bad for the people he was talking too as Im unsure how they even enjoyed their meal; however, if they truly knew him-maybe they didnt mind. Far be it for me to speak for them. This was on Valentine's Day. I wanted to have a nice, quiet meal with my boyfriend. However, he just kept talking and talking and it wasn't necessarily in a low tone. Needless to say, we hurried through dinner to leave. Just not the experience I wanted. I didn't want to be rude and say something, but then again, should I really have to do so with a manager?
Great service. Great food.
Great service. Great food.
Love this place!!
We always come here for a special occasion and they do not disappoint! The food is wonderful and thoughtful. We ordered appetizers as our meal: Crab bisque soup, buffalo shrimp, crab cakes and then a desert sampler. Everything we had was delicious and great quality. The desert platter we got to choose 3 single serve deserts which were amazing!
Great Valentines Dinner 2016
Great Valentines Dinner for Two. We had the Lobster Tails and New York Strip. Excellent. Our waitress was Sara and she was excellent.
