We ordered the beignets as a brunch starter and I think these are the best things I've ever eaten! For our brunches I ordered the crab Benedict and the crab meat was wonderful!! Also, they serve Carmen and David's ice cream - if you're not from the area (even if you are) C&Ds is a must eat always! As always, wonderful experience!

The service was great and the food matched the service. The wings were especially delicious. The chef makes great use of herbs and spices in his dishes.

I have not been to the Pressroom for a few years and my return visit was not as nice as I had hoped. The menu is more of a sports bar theme and a little too pricey for the quality. The decor is new and trendy like the other restaurants downtown. The service was ok at best and they were out of a dish that my wife was interested in at our seven p.m. seating. The Pressroom is a sports bar now and for myself there are just better options downtown.

No longer a special place for lunch

Dined on April 20, 2016

Disappointing food-veggie burger was mushy and tasteless. Duck fat fries good. Ceasar salad lettuce was not crisp. Dressing heavy. Server hard to find. New decor boring-could be anywhere.

Beautiful new dining room

Dined on April 17, 2016

This was my first time here and I was told that the dining room and menu as revamped recently and I love the decor. WOW, its very upscale inside without being stuffy but its cozy. Sunday Brunch offers some good items and a mimosa/bloody mary bar, just yes. My husband was disappointed in his dish (some dark sausage thing) but overall everything else was great, I had the crab bisque which was one of the best I've had, and the beignets, crab benedict, and duck confit bowl were great.

Dined on April 7, 2016

My boyfriend and I decided to go on our date night to The Pressroom and it was amazing! From the ambiance to the renovations it was a great place to be on a Thursday night! We ordered the following: • Pressroom wings • Fish tacos w/ side of guacamole and chips • 'The Marcus' 8inch round personal pizza • Beer for him and Moscow Mule for me Good was good. The prosciutto on my pizza was a little hard and the Rosemary could have been cooked down a little better so that it wasn't hard difficult to eat. My boyfriend enjoyed his dinner of fish tacos. He said that they were "spicy but delicious!" Our request of being seated near the window was honored as it was not that busy on a Thursday. I throughly enjoyed the renovations as I have seen what the restaurant previously looked like in the past. Will be back to experience their outdoor seating!

Was good but not great.

Dined on March 30, 2016

Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. We were disappointed in the appetizers. We ordered mac n cheese balls and wings. The wings were dry and under seasoned. The mac n cheese balls had a funny aftertaste. The main menu had some great choices. Main courses much better. Pizza oven down so we weren't able to try any brick oven pizza (let down). The meatloaf and mashed potatoes was one of our fav's. My kids also liked the filet Mignon (they each finished their plates.. 9 and 11 yo). The oxtail Shepard's Spy also outstanding. Fish and chips, just Eh..... I would try it again... maybe order diff. apps or hope pizza oven was working.

Dined on March 19, 2016

This was my second visit here for dinner! We brought my family in from out of town and everyone enjoyed the experience! I believe we tried every cocktail on the menu- their Moscow Mule would probably have been my favorite! Everyone loved heir meals (brick chicken & scallops & pork belly) my fish tacos were good though not the best I've ever had. They do well to accommodate gluten-free diets which is always appreciated!

Excellent Experience

Dined on March 19, 2016

We had a larger group, the number in our party changed several time prior to the date, and the restaurant was able to accommodate. The individuals in our party were all traveling in from out of town and arrived at different times. We didn't have to wait until all of our party arrived and instead were seated right away without issue. Our server was outstanding from the time the first two of us arrived until our entire party had filtered in. He was knowledgeable, charismatic, and respectful with our entire group. Also, the portions were larger than expected!

Good-bye Dinner for a Friend

Dined on March 7, 2016

My fiance and I decided to have dinner with my close friend who is moving to Florida this week. Even though she has been living in the area for about four years, she had never been to The Pressroom before. We couldn't have had a more positive final dinner experience together. We had a lovely time with fantastic food and although we were seated near the bar, it was quiet enough that we could converse without interruption. Our server, a young man, was so helpful and sweet. I really wish I could remember his name. We were there on Sunday, the 6th, in the evening. He was the only server there that we saw and he did a great job. The creme brulee was incredible; I'm almost glad the dessert I originally ordered was unavailable so that I could try it. Thanks for an amazing farewell dinner with a close friend. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately The Pressroom has changed

Dined on March 4, 2016

The last several times we were at The Pressroom it was a nice dining experience. These were a few years ago. Unfortunately now it is more of a sports bar, so that although we were seated as far from the TV and bar as possible, the noise level was very high and unacceptable for the Friday night pre-theater dining experience we were expecting. The menu options were mundane and not exciting. Many sandwiches and pizza. The food was "average", at best. More fitting for the sports bar environment, and far from the fine dining we were expecting to enjoy. I wish they had changed their name when the The Pressroom was converted from a nice dining establishment to a sports bar. At least then it would not have been such as disappointing surprise to us.

Press Room

Dined on March 3, 2016

The newly renovated Press Room was very enjoyable and the menu was superb. A great wine list as well. The roomy booths were comfortable and cozy but still suitable for "friends" vs. just romantic couples. Service was OK, I am not sure all of the servers had a chance to become familiar with the new menu and also seemed a bit over zealous with collecting the used dishes. Overall, the food, wine, and atmosphere was so good, I can't wait to go back.

The food was exceptional, especially the mussels and balognese (sp?). Very busy that night, but they pulled it off. I'd recommend to anyone looking to make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night in Lancaster city, during which days the city's population multiplies considerably.

Our Very Special Occasion

vip
Dined on February 21, 2016

We brought my Mom here to celebrate her 80th birthday. 6 in our group plus one toddler. Food was fresh and flavorful. Good selection of craft beers. Really good service. All but one were visiting from out of town and first time for all but 2. Thankful for walking distance from Marriott where we were staying. I hadn't been in a few years. Restaurant has been updated and I was really pleased. Relaxing and chic ambiance, though due to rainy, cold Sunday night (weather?) wasn't very busy. Will definitely return and bring friends on my next trip to Lancaster.

Tasty

Dined on February 21, 2016

We very much enjoyed the food, ambiance, atmosphere, crowd and overall feel. The only thing we did not like, which is the reason we will likely not retuen, was the incredible pushiness of our server. We selected a wine we wanted, he pressured us to select another. We selected a vegetarian entree, he pressured us to add a meat. When we said no, he suggested another protien, when we said no to that he, yet again, pushed another protien. Same goes for after dinner drinks. We selected a whiskey and, again, he pressured us up to the next. I understand business like to upsell, but this was so aggressive and so off-putting that it ruined our dining experience.

It's always nice when traveling to find a resto that turns out to be a highlight of your trip and The Pressroom was exactly that. Each dish was perfectly prepared in both flavor and presentation. The Gravlax app was outstanding. The veal shank was perfect comfort food for a cold night and melted in your mouth, the Steak frites perfectly prepared and seasoned and the Vegan Spaghetti and Meatballs was exceptional-bursting with flavor. All portions were hardy. Our waiter Morgan was right on point and made our experience extra enjoyable with everything from perfect table side manners to menu suggestions to TLC service. It's always nice when a pro server anticipates your needs. Highly recommended. *****

Perfect for a Special Date

Dined on February 14, 2016

This was our first time at the Pressroom, and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the waiter was pleasant and sincere, and the ambiance was romantic. It was the perfect getaway for a Valentine's Day dinner. We reserved a table for two, and we went all the way to the back of the restaurant. The front of the restaurant was loud and active, but the back was extremely peaceful and gorgeous. I'm glad we got the back seating - made the dinner more romantic!

Valentines Dinner

Dined on February 14, 2016

Made reservations a week in advance for 8:15pm and was placed in the very back of the restaurant in an old room. Table wobbled and the waiter had at least 5 other tables and the service was slow (did not get our food until 9:05pm). I was excited when I first walked in and saw the new renovations and was excited to sit in the front/newly renovated area of the restaurant. Part of the reason we went was because a friend's band was playing that night and we wanted to sit and a listen while we ate but could not due to us being in the very back room.

My husband and I needed to catch an early dinner before a play at The Fulton. The new menu is great! So many good choices it was hard to choose. Both of our meals were wonderful, I had the steak frites and my husband had the fish and chips. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we were able to make our play in time! Two thumbs up! Everyone loved the entrees, we all shared and passed plates! The risotto was a favorite as well as the Bolognese dish. Show stopping lemon merange birthday dessert for the table with French Press, unreal. Thank you Pressroom for another terrific experience.
