Great food and service

Dined 4 days ago

My wife and I came here for her birthday and had a great experience. The food was great, the server was one of the best I've ever had, and the live music was nice outside. To top things off the hostess made sure we were accommodated as well making sure smokers weren't near the outside dining area as they weren't supposed to be. I would highly recommend to anyone.

So-so brunch meal

Dined on April 24, 2016

We had dinner here on a previous occasion and the food was very good. My brunch meal was just so-so. I am not sure that I would return again for brunch but I would return for dinner again.

Dined on April 24, 2016

Great restaurant! Server was prompt and really friendly! Found it to be a little overpriced on it cocktails and some food items especially when competing with fellow restaurants in this area. Our only biggest disappointment was the live music. This was ridiculous for the setting, we were hoping for a small acoustic band or something a little more lively then a one man elicits computer band!! Sounds of elevator music.

The Mill is my "go to" place for entertaining out of town visitors. We try to go early, before the noise level peaks.

Brunch on the patio

vip
Dined on April 17, 2016

The Blue Plate special is just that - special. Sat outside for brunch and had a great time. Rated The Mill Kitchen and Bar all 5's except for value, and that was only because we were told that substituting a side salad for the bacon/sausage will come with a charge in the future. I don't think it is a good idea to upcharge for a less expensive item.

Good service, great food

Dined on April 15, 2016

My wife and went for the first time on a Friday evening and enjoyed ourselves very much. The waiter was really friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, the bar was very much alive, and there was live music. Not sure what it's like on other nights, but we will definitely be going back on a Friday night. We also really want to sit in their outside dining area, it looks great!

Dined on April 9, 2016

We were going out to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to try a place we hadn't been. This definitely exceeded our expectations. They had live music, the food was very good, and the service was great too. My husband had the ribeye which melted in his mouth and the Shrimp and Grits had large chunks of Tasso ham, so good!!!! We finished with the chocolate cake which was so rich but worth every bite. Overall an amazing experience to celebrate our anniversary. Would highly recommend.

Dined on April 9, 2016

My husband and I double-dated this past weekend with my cousin and his girlfriend. I was a little put off because I thought that the ambience was more geared towards romance, but it was more of a rustic family oriented vibe. Ahmin our waiter was awesome. The food presentation and the taste of the food was good. The restaurant was clean and the adult beverages were okay. Overall, the experience was nice.

Worth every penny

Dined on April 5, 2016

The Mill has some great dishes and a pleasant environment, including a vibrant bar area and stimulating patio with fireplace for chilly nights. The Shrimp and Grits are spectacular, the Southern Fried Chicken is a delicious serving of two fried chicken breasts atop a mountain of mashed potatoes, and, true to the server's suggestion, the pimento cheese fritters are delectable. I thought the price was a few dollars too expensive per entree, but that seems to be the cost nowadays of dining in rustic but modern interiors with a "reimagining" all those classic dishes that everyone else is so busy reimagining. All told though, I'd go back. And get more delicious fritters.

My wife and I had venison and short rib. Both were delicious! She had a side of smoked gouda grits and they tasted home grown and we're some of the better grits we've ever had. The pimento cheese fritters and deviled eggs were great appetizers. The cocktail list was fantastic!

Can't wait to try the outside area . We came here for dinner and was very presently surprised. The food was really good and there were several things on the menu I could have selected. I had the scallops with risotto. Very yummy Think I saw something about wine specials and I love me some wine specials. The service and vibe were good. We'll be back to sit in the great outdoor space.

Very noisy and food was bad. First time eating there. Buffet food was tasteless and sometimes cold. Beef at carving station very tough. Twenty percent gratuity automatically put on check; unexpected and high for a buffet.

Easter Brunch

Dined on March 27, 2016

The food was great and so was the service. The prices were high especially for children. It would not be possible to eat $35.00 worth of food in an hour. Also no beverages were available except through the servers.

We had a great experience at the mill for brunch. The atmosphere was cozy and rustic, the food was delicious and priced very reasonable, and the service was great. They are very accommodating and have a really nice menu selection. We will definitely go back to sit out on their patio with a fireplace. Really love this place.

We have never been to The Mill where we were not greeted and engaged perfectly. The ease at which the servers move seamlessly through a busy room is great to watch. They seem to really care for each other. That makes our times there even more enjoyable. And...the sauces...ohhhhh the sauces! Chef rocks the palate, every time!

An Exceptional Night

vip
Dined on March 12, 2016

The weather perfect, the service, with Carl, Amid and Chloe was perfect, the locally-sourced fare and tuna special...cooked to perfection, with Chef's golden touch again, with the sauces. Dessert was exceptional and the wine pairing made for a delicious, early spring dinner! Going back again...and again...and again!

A southern gem

Dined on March 6, 2016

Myself and my girlfriend booked a table late night last Sunday. We drank lightly because the sweet tea was spectacular. We went with the duck confit to start, and it was very good. I would say the portions are larger than we expected but the food was equally as good at home. We split two entrees after the duck. The lobster mac and cheese and the scallops. Both were worth every penny. If you are looking for a cool change of pace, I highly recommend this spot!

Although we had a reservation, we were seated in the bar area which was extremely loud. When I questioned the location I was told this was the only table available. Our waitress was nice but not very attentive. I had to ask for refills of my drink. Dinner was very good but we felt rushed, I think we were in and done in 30 minutes

Roswell Gem

Dined on March 5, 2016

Exceptional dining experience, service and food. Staff made extra effort to meet my wife's dietary requirements since she is a vegan. Food was perfect in presentation and taste. Great environment and large area for patio dining that should be great for spring and summer. Great value for quality and quantity of dishes. Well worth the drive to Roswell. They have Sunday brunch which should be exceptional too.

As always, dining at The Mill Kitchen was wonderful. It seems as though whatever dish they prepare is excellent. We dined and lingered over after dinner drinks. We did not feel rushed and the wait staff was very pleasant.
