When my husband arrived they couldn't find our reservation and tried to tell him I had made it for the wrong day and they didnt know if they could get us in despite many, many empty tables. I had the confirmation so showed it to them and they sat us shortly after.

Overpriced for the quality of food served. It also took too long to get the check. I do not like being held hostage.

Great daddy daughter special occasion

Dined on April 22, 2016

The cost vs the quantity is a little more than casual dining would normally be. However, great daddy/daughter date night event. Would HIGHLY recommend just doing cheese and chocolate. Main course not great.

What happened to the Melting Pot I knew & loved?

Dined on April 17, 2016

Sadly we will not be returning to the Melting Pot. We went on a themed day and it came across as unorganized and a waste of time/money. Our service was terrible. We rarely saw our waiter and the kitchen was somehow always running behind. How hard is it to cut up more broccoli or plate raw meats? I also have a hard time making it through the meal without anything to drink. To top it off, we had to pay for a children's plate for a 2 year old. 20+ dollars and she ate a couple tomatoes and one piece of chicken. Others looked like they were having a better experience so maybe we were just unlucky...

Kc melting pot 4-17-16

Dined on April 17, 2016

We booked our reservation online for my little brother's birthday and it was so easy! Once we arrived we realized there was a special "beauty and the beast" dining experience going on. Less than ideal for a 12 year old boy and there were a lot of rowdy little girls. Our server was very professional, personable and social but I cannot remember his name. He is going to school currently for engineering. We did have a couple of very long wait times for our food but the food was delicious and they were very busy so that is to be expected. Overall it was very nice, we just wished that for a $200+ dinner (with the tip) that we would have known there were a bunch of screaming little girls so we could have planned to come another time. Very clean dining area and restrooms and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

Unique food and experience, TERRIBLE service

Dined on April 17, 2016

While the concept is unique and the food is delicious, the prices are high and the service is awful. We ended up skipping dessert for fear it would be another hour! Definitely a one time thing we won't be repeating.

went there for birthday/anniversary. service was excellent. they also had a special goin which turned out to be a great deal. the meat selection was tasty. I liked the teriyaki steak and the two types of chicken were also good. highly recommend for special occasions as this isn't casual dining. It is however a lot of fun.

We have eaten here several times and have always had a fine time. However, this time we were disappointed with the tuna-which actually smelled and tasted "fishy". There was no response from our server when we told him the tuna was not edible.

Dined on April 2, 2016

Novel experience for those that haven't tried Melting Pot, however, the food is very average. The cocktails offered are interesting twists on old classics, but weak. The dinning experience is slow and unhurried, which adds to the fun of trying different combinations, but wouldn't recommend this if tight on time. Also, we were seated next to the kitchen which was very loud.

Dined on March 27, 2016

We had a reservation and they took forever to seat people. none of the wait staff knew what was going on. We sat in the bar and the bartender didn't help at all. For the price you pay for the meal it was horrible service. We probably won't go back!

Great Overall experieince. Pros-Family and date night friendly, great for groups of people, you are able to talk to everyone quite easily. Cons-We had reservations and arrived 15 mintues early but waited 40 minutes to be seated. Not sure what that was all about. Be warned it is a bit pricy for a family of 5 but a great night of fun.

Enjoyed our meal. Always enjoy cheese and chocolate the best! Our server was excellent and we enjoyed my son's 13th birthday with the rest of our Family, 18-year-old son, 20 year old daughter and my 15-year-old son. It's very expensive, but wonderful for special occasions.

Dined on March 22, 2016

Enjoyed a night out with family to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. Food was great. Only disappointment was service was extremely slow... and did not improve even after informing the server that we were on a tight schedule in order to relieve the babysitter. Ended up being an 2 hours and 45 minute event (about 45 mins over what we expected) and this was on a Monday night. Really interfered with the dessert course as we were worried about being so late.

Very Romantic

Dined on March 11, 2016

We visited The Melting Pot for our 10th anniversary! Our kids had gone ahead of time and reserved us the private dining with the souvenir champagne flutes, roses and chocolate wafers! They also requested that a card from them be put on the table. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation so when we checked in, they had us wait about 5 minutes. We were given a little booth/room to ourselves with a curtain that could be pulled closed. On the table were the roses, the card from our kids and a gift bag with the wafers and glasses. Our waiter went out of his way to explain how the menu worked and made his suggestions on a cooking style. We were very pleased with his service as well as with the food served. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a romantic escape from the normal dining experience!

Sauna & Dinner

Dined on March 5, 2016

Part of what you are paying for at the Melting Pot is the experience. However, when you are seated in a corner with no air flow that experience quickly turns bad! My husband and I sat through our $100+ meal sweating because it was so hot in the area where we were seated. We brought it to the waitresses attention who dismissed it by stating that wasn't something she could control. We spoke with the manager who deducted $17 from our bill. It was a nice gesture but fell short... we won't be back and wouldn't recommend it for anyone else... there are a lot of great places to go if you are spending $100 on 2 people.

Melting Pot is unique in that it is focused on fondue which is hard to find elsewhere. However, for those of us who love traditional Swiss fondue, they miss the mark especially on what most people would consider real cheese fondue. They do have a good number of non-traditional choices but I just wish they would alter the recipe to make the cheese fondue more like you would find in Switzerland (a blend of at least two cheeses and Kirsch). The cost is a little high given what you get. Finally, they have no wifi which is hard to understand in today's world.

Oil didn't boil

Dined on March 3, 2016

I love the melting pot, this trip was due to seeing a leap day special. We got the tempura meal batter for the first time and our oil did not boil. We waited about 45 minutes as the team tried different things to get us a cooking event. The food was excellent. We would recommend trying the tempura style, but be prepared to have a long dinner, longer than normal there. Due to how busy the full night was and how long we had to wait until we could cook our dinner we were there for 3.5 hrs for a 4 course event.

Love the cheese and chocolate and drinks

Dined on February 29, 2016

We took a friend for her bd and she loved it. I really enjoyed the cheese fondue, the salad and the chocolate fondue. I wasn't crazy about the meat because it was something you cook in the pot. We were given cooking times (1-2 min in pot, etc.) but were still unsure of whether it was cooked. However, I would go there for the cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue ANY DAY!

Anniversary

Dined on February 28, 2016

My boyfriend recently went here for our anniversary. It was lovely. Our server was very, very sweet and helpful. This was our second visit here and the food was just as delicious as the first. I love that they sell their garlic and wine seasoning because I just had to buy it after trying. My only issue was that we were seated next to two families with babies who both screamed the entire dinner.

Not the same as in the past.

Dined on February 28, 2016

I have visited many times but something is missing. The staff is very friendly and warm, the presentation is good. Perhaps it's the service that is lacking. We had reservations fairly early, 6 pm on Saturday night. We didn't leave until 9 pm. We waited over 30 minutes without any sign of our server. We finally asked the server from the next table to find our server. His name was Travis and he was amazing! He cleared our dishes, refilled our water, asked if he could get us something from the bar and offered us the chocolate menu for the last course of our meal. Again, NOT our server, just another server we flagged!

Dined on February 27, 2016

The restaurant was incredibly under staffed. We tried calling several times before arriving for our lunch reservation and no one ever answered. We were attempting to let them know we would be a few minutes behind but even though they had been open for an hour or more no one picked up the phone after dozens of rings. When we arrived the host was no where to be found for over 5 minutes. The only table waiting was a 4 top and they were told their wait was going to be over 45 minutes for lunch. The staff as a whole seemed disgruntled to be there and the manager jumped in only after guests were requesting to speak to a manager. Needless to say it took over 2 1/2 hours to get lunch and we had to go to the bar more than once to get our water refilled and a glass of wine after 30 minutes of waiting for it at our table. On top of all of that our cheese fondue was made incorrectly and were were told that our meats had been lost in the refrigerator that's why that portion took so long. We were celebrating a birthday or I wouldn't have asked for a manager at all because I used to be a server and can be incredibly understanding to a stressful hospitality situation. The manager did end up giving us a discount but I would have preferred a good to fair experience. It just seemed like no one in the restaurant wanted to put any effort into treating the customers with any care or concern. It will be a long long time before I ever go back to this Melting Pot. It used to be my favorite restaurant but this experience significantly changed that opinion.

Table wasn't working right pot wasn't heating up, sat and waited forever until it was fixed. Still wasn't right as our cheese was barley melted and room temperature then once it warmed up was so hot it was burning on the bottom. Restaurant was warm and stuffy. Felt we paid entrirely too much for the taste of what we got. Not impressed and irritated at the amount of money we spent only to be disappointed.

Melting Pot was a great experience and I highly recommend it. The only negative for us is the room they seated us in was unbearably hot which distracted from the experience. If I had it to do over again, we would have requested to move to another room/table.
