    My husband and I had dinner at The Local last night. It was one of the restaurants on the C-ville Restaurant Week selections. From the moment we walked through the door into the restaurant, we felt welcomed. The menu selections covered many possible dietary preferences. Our food was absolutely delicious, from appetizer to desert. We thoroughly enjoyed each course. The wait staff and servers were friendly and prompt. They have mastered the art of being available without hovering! I have to give special mention to the desert I chose. It was a flourless chocolate cake with a whipped cream/raspberry sauce that added extra delight to the tastebuds. When we got home, my husband if I wanted to make another reservation!! To The Local - you've got it right!

    First time at The Local & we figured we would try them during restaurant week, as the set menu looked really good. The Local did not disappoint!! Our server was exceptional! And our meals…delicious! I highly recommend the Bison Short Ribs- outstanding! She Crab Soup was amazing, as were the desserts (crustless cheesecake & flourless chocolate cake! Cocktails were very good, not exceptional but perfectly fine. Jeff messaged me through OpenTable app to make sure we were aware that they would only be serving the restaurant week menu. I replied to him letting him know that was why we were coming and looked forward to our first visit. Well, Jeff made sure to come and introduce himself, asked how our meals were and told us about all their specials on various nights of the week. We will be back!!

    Normally, we have a fabulous experience. Last night we went and the place was kinda empty and I got the pork chop. It was way over cooked and extremely small. My husband usually likes the hamburger but this time it was a totally different burger and the toppings were fair, but not great. This has been one of our favorite places and I really love it. I hope they pull it back together.
