The Knife Restaurant - Hallandale Ratings and Reviews
The service was great. The food was not good. The meat was dry and hard. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive .
Great service !!!
very easy to make a reservation online for my large group. Was very pleased with my service from beginning to end.

Absolutely the biggest waste of money. Meat was all overcooked and burnt dry as a piece of wood and they refused to cook us fresh meat. They served us such large portions that most of it went to the garbage. Even my dog wouldn't eat this food and I would rather eat the dogs food than eat here again and waste my hard earned money
Pay the extra $10 and go to the chains
The Knife would love to call itself an upscale Argentinian Steak House- but it is not! 1) The host seated our party of 4 adults in the kids section, we asked to move. 2) Once we moved NO ONE came to great us for over 10 minutes. 3) When someone finally showed up, they assumed that we had been there and we had to ask them how everything works 4) The salad bar- NOTHING was recognizable accept the lettuce and there weren't any labels on anything. 5) the grill line was weird. the chefs again assumed that you would know what the charred meat on the grill was but I had no clue what was beef, lamb, pork or anything and no one helped me. Overall bad experience... I never want to pay $30 a person and have to work so hard for my meal. (Deciphering what it is and going to get it myself) This restaurant needs gauchos and a better salad bar for what they charge. I was NOT impressed!
Great food....horrible service
The food was really good for what you would expect from an all-you-can-eat Argentinean style restaurant. Not the best cuts of meat but lots of options. Service was horrible - took over an hour to get the check after we finished eating and when I spoke to the manager about it he was extremely rude.
It was alright!
There were some absolute gems on the buffet and from the grill. Desserts were yummy and we enjoyed the sangria and wine. Loved the ceviche! The facilities could use more attention, though. Our waitress also wasn't the most attentive.
great food and lots of it.
Celebrated a birthday and we all enjoyed it very much. Food was awesome and all easily available. It was a Saturday night and very busy but ate to our hearts content. I think we had a new server. She was good but was really busy so we waited for a few things a few times. There was plenty of good to keep us busy. It was pleasant that we never felt rushed or hurried out the door. I will go again
Great food and lots of it!!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at The Knife, and it will not be our last! Was really a challenge trying to sample all of the tantalizing foods just waiting for your taste buds to enjoy. If we ate there two or three times, we still would not have covered all they offered. PLUS, the dessert...oh my!!!! I had the flan and it did not disappoint. Enjoy, my friends, enjoy :)
The meats on the grill were tough. The man behind the grill was rude and only gave us what he wanted, not what we asked for. Never returning or suggesting this restaurant to anyone.
Good concept but poor implementation.
Quality and preparation of meat was not in satisfied condition. Service was acceptable but not good (you have to ask for everything)
Awesome service, but quite nasty in kitchen
Super nasty behind meat area so concerned how kitchen looked. Food was ok not great. My waitress was very nice.
Did have my reservation saved
I booked my reservation and had a special request and I get there tell them my name for the reservation and that I booked it off this website and they didn't have it so I never got a chance to tell the waiter my special request for my fiancées birthday dinner.
JAM PACKED ... with people and food!
Make a reservation! This place is packed. We arrived on time for our reservation and overheard a couple get angry about us being seated before them. They were waiting over 20 minutes. Come hungry and ready to eat. The salad bar has a varied assortment of salads and the grill is a carnivore's paradise ... all you can eat cooked to order.
Where you fell at home!!, food is always reafy for you, the servers always friendly and with a big smile!!
was not impressed and was too much
you pay way too much to not get enough the service was excellent however the food was all over cooked and was not worth it

Very loud table next to us. Obnoxious. Staff gave large table majority of attention, forgetting about other customers. All food, meats and veggies were too dry to eat. All types of meat (filet, ny strip, churrasco) all looked and tasted the same and were of the same poor quality. Would not go here again, would hardly consider feeding such poor quality of meat even to my dog.

Food was not good. Meats were tough and very bland. Salad bar was ok. Sangria was the best part of the meal.
This place is really good. I'm a big Texas de Brazil fan and obvious it has a much higher price point than this place so the quality is extraordinary. This place was definitely great for the price. Worth the cash!
LOVE THAT MEAT
MEAT eater rejoice. Here is another carnivores delight in Hallandale. Those who would prefer other fare, do not worry. Great salad bar, and non red meat choices. Food prepared to ones individual choice of cooking temperature. LEAVE ROOM FOR DESERT. it DOESN'T DISAPPOINT.

The salad bar is too small compared to the one in bayside... The meat was a little bit under cooked. The Server was nice but took a long time to come to the table and being the drinks. Its a nice place but they have to star to provide the same service that you find in other locations.
On the go.
For someone not familiar with this type of restaurant, the sides were not labeled. It was too warm. The tables were too small for two people. The meat was a little on the tough side.
I have been to namy Braziliian Steak Houses, including the Knife in Sunrise. I purchase a groupn for the Knife at Hallandale. and you get what you pay for. All of the meat was horrible. You walk up to the grill and the meat looked like it was yesterday's, we arrived at 6:00pm. It was dry, tough, and little taste. Itried 3 different cuts of steak, each worse than the next.. All I can is run away!!!
I like the restaurant, the concept is great. The only negative thing I find Extremely annoying every time I go there is the grill guys. They just don't get that people don't go there for a master class of meat cuts and grilling.... Is like you have to beg them... You literally have to eat what they want...
excellent restaurant for a special occasion !!!
Came here a few days ago with my family and girlfriend. we all enjoyed the Delicious meats, the side bar of all the other appetizing side dishes. our waitress was very friendly came and checked on us frequently if we needed refills of our beverages or anything else. the atmosphere is excellent, you can walk in casual and not have to worry about being under dressed. we've been coming to the knife for years and this will not be our last. look forward to coming here again very soon.
it was an unpleasant experience and won't go back
I was very disappointed especially since I took my husband there for his birthday. Beef was fatty and not very flavorful, lamb was over cooked, salad bar had no labels as to what anything was I was afraid to try things just by the way they looked and I didn't know what it consist of. The rice (little left there was) was very hard. Service was not that great and our table was awful. Mash potatos were instant and the dessert was not very tasteful I think it was frozen.

this one I would pass on!
This restaurant is not worth your time or money! My spicy sausage was burned to a crisp! Many of the meats were unbelievably dry & tasteless. We were 4 people & all given 4 different looking pieces of meat & told they were skirt steak!!?? the desserts were the best part of the meal.

Nice setting. Decent food. My fiancé loves this place
Large assortment of antipastos.
Be sure to go on an empty stomach as food is plentiful.
All food was perfect well done and nice and sharp....thanks
momento especial en el cumple de esposa
Pasamos una noche especial en el cumple de 40 de mi señora con mis pequeñas hijas. La reserva pude hacerla desde mi celular y fue muy sencilla. Fuimos exelentemente atendidos. Muchas gracias
it was ok
The service was great; however, the food was disappointing. The salad bar was ok; however, the meat was dried out; too well done. The wine and sangria were the best part of the meal :-/
The worst dining experience we have ever had
Very disappointed. Especially since it was our 25th Anniversary. WIll not be going back there or recomending to anyone.
We ate on a Friday night at the Knife. ...
We ate on a Friday night at the Knife. The meat and veggie selection is vast. This is not like Texas De Brazil...they do not come to your table and carve you go to the cooking station and select your meat and veggies and if you want it cooked further they throw it on a hot flame gril to char it. Their chimmichuri is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Large appetizer/salad bar but items are not your run of the mill items. I pretty much settled on a small ceasar and LOTS of meat and veggies. Every adult is given a whole bottle of wine or 2 beers....For me this is way too much for one person to drink but hey..thats me! It comes with the meal and then when you can not eat another bite ..all meals come with a dessert off the menu. I selected the apple pancake thinking there was no way I could eat it...It was flame sugar crystalized like a creme brulle..with fresh whip cream..I at EVERY bite..Delicious!! My only complaint might be that everyone spoke spanish and when we went to get our meat the man in broke english said " No habla english"... How can that be that you would have someone who can not adequently talk to the customers. Not everyone speaks spanish... Next time up there was someone else who understood english well so no problems on thw 2 3rd and 4th trips!!
Upscale cracker barrel with bad service
Knats flying around and in food. Kids running around playing, Catered to hispanics only. Water not offered, tables are not cleared until you run down a manager to find your server(on an empty night) overall, never again would not take my dog.
Went with expectations too high
I guess I was expecting a nice upscale steakhouse, but I was wrong. Why pay 30$ for dinner here when you can pay 50$ at Fogo de Chao and get an assortment of meats delivered to your table with a salad bar 5 times the size of this place?! No one spoke English well and we were only able to try 3 different meats.. I would never return here, it's just not for me.
The food tasted great . My only complaint is that it was our first time and there was little direction. There was no menu at the grill which made it difficult to take advantage of the different cuts of meats.
I chose this place because online it seemed like a nice place to take my fiancee for his bd...he said Food was good but i wasn't satisfied.. he ordered mashed potatoes which were cold and my rice was hard...watress had to be called by someone and she came ten minutes later...will not return and will not recommend
