Beginning in 2006, we have been serving the finest quality food to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Our goal, from day one has been to make damn good food, with honest ingredients while being kind to those we meet along the way.
We offer Terrace seating. Our Terrace is protected from inclement weather and heated for year round dining. It is NOT air conditioned. We do have ceiling fans and cooling fans for the warmer days.
We are proud to present our guests with a dinner menu free of hydrogenated oils, and high fructose corn syrup, yet full of flavor that only the freshest ingredients from local sources can provide.
At Terrapin restaurant, we are very passionate about supporting sustainable organic farmers and local watermen, as well as preserving the integrity of our menu and products.

We dined out for a birthday celebration. The staff printed a special menu, the food and drinks were wonderful, and the service was spectacular. We will dine there again soon and will continue to recommend it to friends.

Top Rated dining experience for good reasons!! My wife and I are locals and Terrapins is always at the top of our Dining List for Date Night! I say 'experience' because we love to watch the sous chef's preparing the meals. Sometimes we will enjoy an appetizer while watching the entree's appear and order based on presentation alone!! I'm not a big fan of traffic or crowds; however, Terrapin's is conveniently located more towards the North End, so dealing with the chaos of tourist season at the oceanfront is not a problem at all. This was a great meal, with great food, service, atmosphere, etc. the waitress was very attentive, and respectful, working in a timely manner. I’m not a local to Virginia Beach but I will definitely come back again when possible.

One of the best meals and service we have experienced in Virginia Beach. We definitely recommend Terrapin!!. The house-made burrata was exceptional as was the home-made bread. Our duck and filet were cooked perfectly. Our server, Lindsay, was perfect.
