Suzette's Creperie Ratings and Reviews
My favorite place to eat
This is my favorite place to go, especially for special occasions. The afternoon tea is lovely too, but the food is excellent no matter what time of day. This place is a treasure of well-made food.
Get to know France!
This neighborhood gem is a great place to experience a French Dining experience!! The French wine list is not intimidating and Lisa is there to help you through it! Beyond crepes they have lovely options to enjoy from Salads; Soups and entrees! The Dover Sole was FANTASTIC, the vegetables unbelievable the mashed potatoes need some help!! I would recommend it for a ladies get together, a couples night out or a special change to your normal go to restaurants!

Pretty good but I think there are many better places in downtown Wheaton in terms of food quality and/or price.
Friday at Suzettes
This place is nice and relaxing. Very good drinks and wine selection.
Pretty pricey for lunch.
Lunch for two was $50 plus the tip. Service was so-so. Comfortable chairs and pretty china plates. Good was very good. Adequate amount

I ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer, also available in a crepe. It was so delectable, I was sorely tempted to lick the plate clean! Bonus - it was gluten free.
The Creperie is always a great place for a casual breakfast/lunch, or a special occasion. Food is always outstanding and the atmosphere is lovely.
I took my wife and daughter to Suzette's Creperie to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had never been there before, but found a description of the restaurant in a listing of restaurants in the Naperville area. I'm glad we took the chance. The staff was very friendly and not pretentious like some similar restaurants, and the food was wonderfully tasty and different. (At least for me. Who knew there were dinner entrées with crepes.) The setting was cozy, like being in someone's large living room, and could pass for both a romantic and a casual evening. My 14 year old daughter has already stated that she wants her next birthday dinner to be there. It's a great find in downtown Wheaton. Will definitely be back.
Save the airfare to Paris...
My wife, my daughter and I had Easter brunch at Suzette's and it was a real treat. It's like being in a French bistro...the ambience was quaint, the food was delicious, and the service was fine considering the room was at capacity. From the delicious salads to the pate's and Frech cheeses, the experience was so much more than your usual pedestrian Easter brunch. To top it all off, the artistic French pastries were an absolute delight and the perfect way to celebrate this Easter.
Really good food with snail-paced service
We've been to Suzette's several times, for both tea and brunch. Both times we have been there for brunch, the service has been slow, but on our most recent visit, the service was unacceptably slow. We were seated for over 30 minutes before our server came to take our food order. In fact, we had to flag down a guy bussing tables to go ask our server to come take our order. Then, it was a bit awkward... no apology from the server and the vibe was just "off". The food took a long time to come out of the kitchen -- in fact, we didn't have a bit to eat until well past an hour after we were seated. And the restaurant was half empty. Once the food started coming, it all came out fairly quickly. But, surely, there was some sort of glitch or slowdown in the kitchen, and it was never acknowledged or communicated to us. The server never offered us bread or anything to tide us over. It could have been handled better. The food, itself, was very good. My family enjoyed the French onion soup, which was chock-full of big croutons. The quiche sampler was fantastic; crepes were good. Warning on eggs if you order them... they'll come out of the kitchen on the under-done/runny side, so if you don't care for eggs cooked in that style, make sure to ask for them to be well cooked. My family really likes the food, but I think we'll only visit Suzette's when we have 2 1/2 hours to burn, and that is a rarity.
Great for lunch, dinner not so much
We went for dinner for my husbands birthday; the restaurant did not acknowledge the note I made on Open Table that we were celebrating. Although restaurant was less than half full, they sat us at a microscopic table for two instead of the empty 4 tops. The wine list is limited but they did make a good suggestion. The coconut shrimp appetizer was good but only lukewarm. We had to ask for bread even though we had been seated over 30 minutes earlier. They omitted my favorite mussel with chorizo dish from the menu so we had the mussels with curry. Although the dish was hot temperature wise, the flavor didn't really work. It was all curry with nothing to cut the sharpness such as coconut. My husband had the duck confit which was pretty good but the risotto it came with was bland. I had the sauteed chicken paillard; the chicken was pretty good but the dish had an overwhelming amount of terragon. So much so that I could not taste the truffle oil that was supposedly drizzled on top. The trofie pasta came naked and was not cooked in salted water; therefore it was extremely bland. I asked for extra truffle oil and that did help my dish. Nothing was good enough to repeat except for the coconut shrimp. The owner came out and talked to the table next to us but never bothered to ask how our meal was. Obviously this did not help our experience. I'd return for a light lunch as the soup has always been good as well as the salad and crepes. Unfortunately, I would not return for dinner.
A perfect choice
This was a special occasion for us as we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Suzette's is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. As always the management and staff were friendly, welcoming, warm and very capable. We had a great meal in a quiet romantic setting. I couldn't have asked for more.
GReat food, and ambience

The food is amazing. I have loved everything I have eaten there. The Souffles are amazing na the scrambled eggs need a whole other name They are at a whole new level of delicious. It looks like an amazing place for a party or wedding shower.
Great Restaurant Week Dinner
We are close enough to walk downtown and like to dine at Suzette's. We decided to try their 3 courses for $30 as part of restaurant week Wheaton, and were not disappointed. We found a nice bottle of Sancerre to enjoy with dinner and there were many choices for each course. As well, there was a piano man for entertainment. We'll be back soon!
Wonderful lunch menu
Soooo impressed with Suzzette's. Had been meaning to try this for ages...and just hadn't gotten around to it. Met a friend her and we both loved our meals, the ambiance, the service. Highly recommend this as a great local spot with a wonderful menu. And I'd love to come back for one of their cooking classes. Took a peek at the class kitchen in the back and looked very fun!

We love eating at Suzette's and have decided it's one of our favorites.
We have enjoyed Christmas tea at Suzettes for several years and decided to celebrate our anniversary there this year. Very generous portions, great ambiance and service. Can't wait to go back!
Wonderful gem in downtown Wheaton. The eggs were delicious, possibly the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. The fruit side was lovely, a nice mix with berries, kiwi and melon. Great weekend brunch spot to catch up with friends.
The food was fair and the service was outstanding. Our waitress and the hostess were extremely nice. The sommelier was a lovely young girl, but she was not a very friendly person at all. The room was extremely cold which made it uncomfortable to sit without a coat on.
The food and service were excellent. It was my first time having Sole Minurre and it completely lived up to my expectations. It was light and the lemon butter sauce complemented the fish very well. My wife had the beef Bourgengion crepe and the meat was very tender. Both of our salads were excellent as well.
I am a huge foodie
I rank this one above many of the multi-stared restaurants I have gone to. The ambiance is warm and personal, while the food is wonderful, filling, and every dish I have tried so far was unique and well done. I am normally not a salad fan, but both their pear with balsamic and walnuts salad and their tangerine salad were excellent. I had the chicken and mushroom crape this time, and it was spot on. On a note, the prices on multiple food sites rate this as more expensive than I think it deserves to be rated. The price $$$ based on the assumption that you will go for their extensive wine list, or are just doing deserts from the front section. If you are just going food, they are not actually much more than one of the more bar style restaurants or pizza places in town, and the food is infinitely better. I would definitely recommend it to a friend!
Met a couple girlfriends for a belated Christmas lunch. Food was excellent. I had the spinach crepe which was worth the 20-min wait. Love the quiantness of the place. Loved the special tea menu.
Cute gals lunch spot
Location was convenient for meeting a friend but I thought my entree was un remarkable (chicken crepe). We split the cherry crepe for dessert and it was good...a few more cherries would have made it very good. It would take very little to make customers feel very welcome as the enter vs. immediately asking them if they have a reservation (we did). The restaurant was never full while we were there so it seems that even someone without a reservation should have been welcomed warmly. A smile and simple "Welcome, how can we help you?" would make all the difference in the world. Why feed into the "unfriendly French" stereotype. I've had this same feeling on all prior visits but was disappointed to learn the place had not "warmed up".

We went there with no expectations whatsoever. The place is phenomenal! Food was delicious! A bit expensive but it was worth. This place needs more young audience to bring some vibe!
Daddy Daughter Dinner
Wonderful ambiance and attentive waiter. Crab cake appetizer was perfect! Waiter made a brilliant spur of the moment wine choice. Was able to enjoy our dinner while not feeling rushed to get to a school function.

I had the afternoon tea and it was delightful! I will definitely be coming back!
Food was great. Service a bit slow but didn't matter because we really enjoyed great jazz piano on Friday night.
Lunch at Suzette's
Four of us met for lunch at Suzette's. The menu had many interesting options from crepes, to soups and salads. Wonderful desserts too.
Suzette's of Wheaton
The owner (Donna ....there has never been a 'Suzette') has trained with Julia Childs. Her passion for food and for all things French is very apparent. The dinner plate is always a work of art...and delicious. I had the Duck Confit (again) ... always, always consistently excellent. Extensive wine list...with a very knowledgeable staff ...Anton is the perfect host. ...you will feel like you are in his living room. Ask for the table for two in front of the (inactive) fireplace with the over-stuffed chairs. Entertainment changes regularly( vocalist, piano, guitar, trio...) and is always top-notch. Easily accessed from the City via the Union Pacific West Line. A three block walk from depot to Suzette's ...
cozy classic diner
Love the ambiance of Suzette's from the intimate bar, to fireside chair dining, and fun patio with charming light and flower decor. It almost feels as if you are in a small french village enjoying good food and wine with the locals! Who always know the best place to wine and dine!
Food was good; unfortunately service was not.
We went here for the Christmas tea. We were put at the very back table in the demonstration kitchen where it is was very cold and music was blaring. The food items and tea were very good but it took forever to get served both of them. I had to keep calling over one of the Servers to get our table serviced. At the end of the tea we found out by accident that there had been a tea served that we were never even offered. They charged me $20.00 for (2) champagnes; I would think at that price it would have been unlimited but we were never offered more than our original glass. The price of the tea was $31.00 a person which I wouldn't mind paying if good service came with it.
Unfriendly Service and limited menu.
Made a late lunch reservation on a Wednesday for three people (on Open Table of course). The reservation was made two and a half weeks in advance. Was hoping to have a leisurely lunch and catch up with friends. When I arrived at the restaurant I was told that we MUST leave in a an hour and a half because they had a special program at that time. Never been to a restaurant that limited the amount of time I had to eat. Certainly could have advised me of the situation weeks before I arrived at the restaurant. Very disappointing. In addition to the time restriction they were out off many of the items on the menu.
The food at Suzette's is so delicious! I had the cheese fondue appetizer and the beef bourguinon crepe. Both were absolutely perfect! The beef was so tender it melted in my mouth. Service was excellent as well. I want to return for breakfast. Yum!

Enjoyed my breakfast (spinach quiche) however; they were not able to provide my first meal choice (spinach crepe) which seemed odd at 10 a.m. Lighting was very bad to the point I had to get up and read my menu in a hallway. Service could have been a bit better; had to wait for extra coffee and bill, even though the restaurant had hardly any other people in it . Bakery section was filled with many items and ones we bought home were fresh and delicious.
Disappointing Christmas Tea experience. ...
Disappointing Christmas Tea experience. This was my third and final Christmas Tea . Service was chaotic: after telling them when I made reservations that I was vegetarian, being called the day before and confirming that I was vegetarian and that I ate no meat or fish, I was presented with regular plate of food. My friend's soup got cold while she waited for them to return with vegetarian plate for me. We were not offered Champagne even tho we had told them we wanted that option. The room was so crowded and where we were seated was so tight that we could actually hear our neighbors ' conversation better than our own. I had told my friend what a great Tea this was but she was not impressed and frankly, neither was I.
Annual Christmas Tea!
My Mom and I came to Suzettes for our annual Christmas Tea----5 years in a row. The tea served is always good. But this year the food for the tea wasn't as good as in the past. The tea rolls for the chicken salad was really, really dry/hard. The scones were hard. I don't know what to say, because we have always enjoyed our tea experience, so I hesitate to sound negative. It could have just been an off day----we all have those once in a while. So, we will be back again next year and maybe even before then.
A Gem in Downtown Wheaton
This was my third visit to Suzette's, and we had a wonderful dinner. It was a Saturday night and they had live piano music, which added to an already pleasant ambiance. The wine list has quite a broad selection of French wines with a corresponding price range. We had a Pinot Noir from the North Rhone region (Beaune) that was super. The house salad was especially good, in my opinion. Both entrees were tasty, I had the surf/turf and my date had the poached fish. I will visit again and would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
