A gem! Great food and service at a beautiful location. Lobster menu is a terrific value.
Beautiful spot for Easter Dinner
We had a wonderful Easter Dinner at Striper's. It's located down the street from all the quaint shops. The food was delicious and service was excellent.

Best brunch I've had in years. Small menu, but the food was amazing. I'll definitely be going back.
Well spent evening
Our dinner was great and the service was impeccable. We had a bottle of wine wiphich was good and inexpensive. A fun evening for under $200.00 can't beat it. Quiet atmosphere romantic and friendly.
Our server took our drink order and it took at least 20 mins to get it with only a couple of partys there. The wine served was not correct so she had to go back to the bar again. The atmosphere was nothing special( cold weather, ate inside). Paid 25.00 for roasted chicken, small portion.
Off season visit not a good as summer
This was our 2nd time to Stripers, the last being in the summer a couple of years ago. Of course it was nicer then since part of the restaurant this time was closed off season and we got stuck next to a noisy group. The food was good but I found for the price, I expected a little more. I am not someone who expects large portions but honestly there was a little bit of rice and a smidge of spinach with my red fish. I actually ended up having something to eat a little while later back at our hotel. Service was great and again the food was very fresh...I just expected a little more overall...but it is February so this could be part of it.
25th Anniversary/Valentine's Dinner
My wife and I had our 25th Anniversary/Valentine's Dinner at Stripers. The service was outstanding. We started with the Clam Chowder, it was some of the best we have ever had. My wife had the Caesar Salad and I ordered the Lobster Taco. The salad was very good but the Lobster Taco was excellent. The taste, texture and flavor were all top notch. For dinner we both ordered the Lazy Style Lobster. It was served in warm butter and was outstanding. My wife ordered desert, it was something chocolate. Mouth watering and some of the best she has ever tasted. Overall everything was outstanding and will be a repeat customer.
Get the lobster! Delicious!

a very Special Christmas Eve
This was our first time and we will definitely be back with family and friends. An outstanding dining experience. And we met the chef and got the recipe for apple tiramsu. Great service from Ryan and the staff and not outrageously priced.
You can't beat the 2 for $25 lobster special they run all day on Tuesday and Wednesday. Beside the usual lobster dishes, they have some very creative ones.. The wine list is extensive and well representative and there are affordable bottle on the list. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the view out to the beach is great. Lastly, the service was perfect...friendly, attentive, knowledgable and not intrusive at all.
A stripe above the rest
A friendly staff, good food, great view! Want more when in Kennebunkport? You won't find it, so stop looking and go have a meal here. Portions are appropriate: you will leave full but not over stuffed. There are some interesting items on the menu and some twists to stand-bys so you won't feel as if it is the same old, same old. Lobster, of course, several different ways. Seafood, shell fish, turf selections, soups, salads, desserts, innovative cocktails, a wine list with good choices and reasonable prices. Get a reservation before all the tables are snapped up!
Stripers Restaurant at the Breakwater Inn & Spa
Not much atmosphere except for the view of the Kennebunk River. Paid $15 for a cocktail at the bar. We were the only people at the bar and the glass was poured half empty. Second one, different barmaid was made better. Food was fresh but pretty average. Wife had lobster two ways : lobster taco & lazy man. She said it was good. I had the sword fish served with polenta and romesco sauce. Fish seemed fresh, not a very generous portion but was grilled well. The sauce and polenta was pretty uninspiring . Overall sorry to say a forgettable experience.
Food was excellent as was our waitress. The atmosphere is pleasant without being stuffy.
Had a great meal with an out of town business guest - we enjoyed a cocktail outside by the river before settling down at a table with a great view of the sunset over the river. Attentive service, tasty lobster dishes (it was Lobster Night - two lobster courses for $25), and a reasonable tab added up to a fine dining experience. We will be back......
This was a beautiful spot for a birthday dinner. The sunset view was spectacular on the water. The food was delicious and very fresh. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

We had a table on the back deck. It was a beautiful view and atmosphere. The food was excellent. Our table of 4 had mussels , lobster stew, along with various fish entrees. Service was also excellent. I would definitely return.

My husband and I have been here a few times, and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, and the scenary is beautiful.
Blueberry Cosmo yummy great view good flavor fish dishes.
Great spot-disappointing food
Sadly Stripers is missing a windfall of accolade that would happen if their food measured up to the facility and view! The steak I had ,garnished with blah mashed potatoes, could have been better in a diner.I feel they sacrifice the quality of the food ,hoping their recipes mask the lack of quality. The outside seating is lovely and would make a nice luncheon spot, when perhaps the price of a light lunch won't be so overshadowed by the lack of food quality.Dinner is expensive-this is not the place for a tourist looking for the best deal for his vacation dollar.
Superb food, view and service
This is by far the most underrated restaurant in Kennebunkport. It's a gem.
Can't have a better setting
And the food, service and cocktails are outstanding. So lucky to have this restaurant in Kennebunkport!
Nice meal and setting
Beautiful restaurant and setting. Had a light dinner with drinks - all was good. Sat outside on the lawn chairs and watched fireworks as we listened to the ocean. Very memorable.

Beautiful location. Excellent food and service.
Best setting ever; food good but bland.
Sitting outdoors at sunset looking over the Kennebeck River toward the beach and the ocean beyond. Most beautiful setting ever. Looks like it would be a fabulous happy hour spot. People were enjoying drinks sitting on chairs and benches on the lawn leading to the water. The food was not quite up to the view, however. The food was well cooked and perfectly OK, but the preparation was unimaginative and bland. Something piquant, savory, or even spicy was called for to complement the tuna and pork dishes we ordered. Service was slow, but I think they were understaffed. I don't fault the waitress, who tried hard. Parking was an issue -- it was available but not obvious and caused some consternation with us and other patrons.
Overall a disappointment.
Have gone herefor years and the food and as always pretty good. This time it was mediocre. The BBQ cauliflower was excellent but the two lobster dishes and the mussels were pretty average. The service was excellent and the views are wonderful. Overall a disappointment.
Best view and great food...outside dining option...🌅great sunsets
A true gem
Have been going to Stripers for years and they seem to get better each summer! Best oysters in town! We had tuna, sword fish, lobster roll, lobster cakes, ceviche, and salads, all were amazing. The best view any time of day. I can't understand why it's not packed, I think being right on the edge of town makes people miss it! Don't miss it!
Casual Atmosphere - Elegant Dining
We enjoyed our lunch at Stripers. The food and service was excellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed the scenic view of the water.
Food was great, service was wonderful and friendly, sat outside and really enjoyed the view of boats on the river
My wife and I had dinner at Stripers and, while there was nothing particularly wrong with it, there was nothing particularly special about it either. The food was good, but not great as was the service and decor. One area that does standout, however, is the view. It may be worth a visit just for the scenery.
Not a bad seat in the house
Ocean view seating with doors that open to the breezes. Great bar selections and wine list. Wonderfully prepared menu selections and desserts to cap it all off. Seating was immediate, service was perfect and not hovering... We did return and plan to again!
I think this spot is perfect for any pretty summer day. I personally did not care for the food. The beauty was amazing and their staff is very attentive .
This restaurant has great views of the harbor in Kennebunkport. Food was excellent. Very classy.
The ambiance was outstading as well as the food!
I had the lobster roll which was absolutely delicious.! The service was great, and cannot wait to return for the lobster lover's special! The water view is spectacular, and will look forward to sitting outside when the weather is warner. Will definitely recommend Stripers to all my friends! Kudos to the Chef, Linda Small!
Great find...first winter they are open
This was my first time at this restaurant. The view is fabulous and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly! The food selection was impressive. I have already made reservations to return for Sunday brunch next week.
Not a memorable experience
The Inn seems to be updated and cozy but sitting in a smaller room with only one other couple initially made it awkward. No music to help filter the conversation. I had the strip steak with chimichurri sauce that was not hot and didn't have much taste to it. The potatoes were on the cool side. We had the brussel sprouts as a side dish because they had been recommended by our waitress at another restaurant. They tasted greasy and burnt...didn't settle well. My hubby had the roasted chicken with root vegetables and again not much flavor and moderately warm. Being off season we find restaurants often find they don't have to try as hard but to me, if anything they should want to take care better of us locals that are their bread and butter after all the tourists leave.
We were looking forward to Christmas dinner after working the day ourselves. The menu options looked great but the food was disappointing and the service was poor. Cesar Salad dressing tasted more eggy and needed more garlic. The salad was small. Great was the pumpkin soup. Beef roast came in the form of three thin slices of roast. It was to their credit rare which was what I was looking for but was fatty. I cut away the equivalent of almost 1 slice of gristle and fat. Side vegetables were very good. My partner had ham which was tasty but came in a few very thin slices. The service was poor. We had to prompt our wait person for bread, silverware, refill of water, pepper for the salad...... The settling was lovely with the fireplace going in the adjacent room.
Nice try for a Thanksgiving dinner out. Food and service were both marginal, although the crowd was very light. Very nice setting and view, but the meal was like a catered banquet.
We stayed at The Beach House and decided to eat at Stripers since the restaraunt is affiliated with the hotel. Our meal was outstanding, as was the service from waitstaff. We started, and split, the Kale salad, which was delicious. We ordered two entrees. One entree was the Duck special and the second was the Pumpkin Ravioli special and both were outstanding. We also split a desert, blueberry bread pudding, with decaf coffee and a cordial. The coffee was perfect and clearly had just been brewed, the desert outstanding, and we enjoyed the experience. We will return to Stripers when we are in the Kennebunkport area.
