Dark spot for a burnt strip steak
I had the Dry Aged Strip Steak. Perfect inside, but the outside was partly burnt and had a bitter taste

It would help to separate the intimate spaces from the group dining spaces, as the groups tend to be a bit rowdy. Altogether it was a nice space but difficult to have a quiet date.

Great steak salad and service. Very enjoyable. 5 stars!
Tasty but expensive
Meal was tasty, but very expensive ~$200 for 2 people. Green salad was delicious, broccoli outstanding, crab cake just okay, chicken tasty. Server and staff were nice and attentive.
Best Steaks in NYC
We were last here in 24 months ago. Now we have returned and they have not let us down. the Steaks are awesome. Grilled to perfection. The desert - oh WOW. Try the 24 layer chocolate cake, but share with at least 2 friends.

Great steakhouse with wonderful delicious well prepared steaks. The cocktails are wonderful and the goose fat potatoes are not to be missed. This is a welcomed refreshing take on a midtown steakhouse.
A favoured spot in NYC
The steak as always was great. Unfortunately the special where they roll it in fois gras before blackening and shaving truffles on the top wasn't available and it was the main reason for me returning! Don't bother with the Brussel sprouts side dish, it isn't worth it, but everything else makes up for it. Will be returning, but phoning in advance next time :-)
Great seafood salad for lunch
As someone who used to frequent Prime House downtown, I am pleased to have lunch here from time to time. The clubby atmosphere is pleasant and the service always wonderful. Great to sit and be able to have a real conversation. The lunch menu is fine but it's pretty expensive. Terrific for the expense account crowd and the occasional treat for the rest of us.
It had been a while since dining there but the steak I had blew me away. It was seasoned/ salted to perfection and I didn't even want their homemade steak sauce. I will be returning. Please note, desserts did change since BRguest took them over
Great night out.
My wife and I come to The Striphouse for our special occasions. The service is outstanding from the moment you enter the room (Emily). The wait staff always makes us feel at home and well attended to. The food, from the entrees to the sides, excellent. I definitely recommend the tomahawk steak for two and the Striphouse potatoes. This is the only place we eat the leftovers from instead of throwing them out a month later. Steak and eggs for breakfast this week!
Tasty and strongly recommended
Great staff , good bar, quiet dining room and the best bone in Filet that I have ever had. Wine list was great but overpriced . They need to find some good valued cabs to go with the great steak .

The Spicy Tuna Tartar is a must!!! My fiancé ordered the 24 oz ribeye bone in and I ordered the Yellow Fin Tuna. Both were beyond excellent. You MUST order a truffle martini. The olives are to die for!
Steaks were way too charred....dissapointing
This place is typically one of my favorites. Ordered Medium steak and it was waaaaayyyy too charred. Could barely taste the steak...when I did have a bite that wasnt super charred it was amazing. Apps, drinks and desserts were amazing. My brothers filet was good. Me and a buddy both ordered Tbone off specials. Really regret it. Plus I picked up the tab which came out to 658...including tip.

One of the best steakhouse in the city. Don't miss their special steak option, totally worth it. And very great service.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
This was our 3rd time visiting the Strip House for dinner. The steaks are superb. Extensive wine list which is somewhat pricey but worth every dollar you spend. Service was impeccable. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here. There are great steak houses and restaurants all over the country and the world......this is a GREAT steak house.
Best Bone in Rib eye in the city....
Striphouse has become my go to favorite... The bone in rib eye is consistently excellent without needing any extra thoughts, sauces etc... Crystal behind the bar is reason enough to go in the first place!
On my top three list of best steaks I've ever had!
Fantastic steak house. All of our menu items (appetizers, sides) were incredible. My only negative is that the wines are extremely expensive ($70 per bottle and up). Two bottles of wine added $250 to our bill. Service was great and the chocolate layer cake they're famous for is as good as advertised. I'll definitely go back when I'm in town.

The steaks are high quality and well prepared. My only complaint about the place is the noise level.

For some reason the uptown Strip House is just not as good as the original. I can't put my finger on it because the steak is perfectly cooked. Service was spotty. The wine list is ridiculously overpriced and at least for reds, populated primarily by bottles over $300. Go to Sparks and see a fantastic wine list, fairly priced with everything from $80 to $4,500 large format wines. Only one IPA for beer lovers. Hey, it's the high rent district but steakhouses abound in NYC. You can do better.
Old School Steak House Vibe
Just phenomenal. The steak was perfect. It had this salty crunchy outside and was super juicy inside and cooked to perfection. The decor was awesome (old school dark steak house vibe).

Special experience very time!
My boy friend and I have been to this place many times over the years and each time NEVER disappoints. Staff is always exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. Great suggestions, too. They also remember us and that makes us feel extra special. We've gotten treated like VIPs each time and we always come away feeling satisfied, both physically and spiritually. Highly recommended!!!

Apart from the waiter, who was a bit stand-offish (French?) everyone was very helpful, including the maître-d finding us another table. The restaurant absolutely packed but still not noisy. The food and wine were delicious.
The 14 oz. aged New York strip that I ordered was amazing. It was cooked to perfection. I also have the twice baked potatoes with it and was great as well. The atmosphere was really nice and was very busy. The Staff took great care of us, always making sure our water glasses were full and that the food was to our satisfaction. I would recommend the Strip House to anyone who lives or is visiting New York.
Solid but not spectacular
Enjoyable experience but pricey. Wine list very expensive with limited moderate options. Suprisingly, steaks ordered medium rare arrived medium well. "Pittsburgh" crust was excellent. Service was attentive. Probably moe fun if someone else pays!
Creamed Spinach w/ Black Truffles Need I Say More?
Had a 9:00 reservation, weren't seated until 9:30, but the hostess was very nice and we eventually got a nice booth. Waiter was very friendly and spot on with his service throughout the evening. We started with the Duck l'orange special. It was fantastic, with the perfect balance of sweet and salty, with pork grinds to add some texture. For our entrees, I had the bone-in filet, which was fantastic. It was tender and lean but the bone added some great flavor. My date had the smoked short rib raviolis which had a nice smokiness to them, but the pasta was a little overcooked. For sides, the creamed spinach with truffles were out of this world. The best creamed spinach I've ever had. The goose fat potato was okay, pretty bland. For dessert, we had the baked Alaska. The presentation was great with our waiter lighting it on fire at the table. Taste wise it was okay, I would have preferred a different flavor of ice cream in the middle other than the green tea they sued. But overall it was a great meal.
Food was amazing. As good as it gets.
This was my first trip to the midtown location and I'm happy to say that my meal there was just as amazing as my many meals at the downtown location. The evening started off a bit choppy as my 8pm table was not ready when I arrived but the hostess made good by making sure we had an array of apps waiting for us when we say down. The place was absolutely full and a little loud for my taste but the food was the star of the show and it just doesn't get better than here. Standout apps were the Buffalo Milk Burrata (best I've ever had) and the Strip House Roasted Bacon. Standout sides were the Creamed Corn with Pancetta (trust me!) and the Black Truffle Creamed Spinach. But make no mistake...the steaks are the reason to come here. I had a party of seven and EVERYBODY absolutely LOVED their steaks. The 20 oz Bone - In Ribeye was beyond description. The Bone-in Filet too. Both melted in my mouth &had my eyes rolling back in my head. These were among the best steaks I have had in NYC and I've had them everywhere. Dessert was great as well. The 24 layer Chocolate Cake and Baked Alaska (complete with attention getting flames!) finished off what was close to a perfect meal. Again, come here for the steaks!!!
Always the best
My favorite steakhouse hands down. Great locatiins and atmosphere is perfect.

I enjoyed the meal at Strip House Midtown but I won't go back because I resent them charging me $5 for a 8oz diet Coke. That's $80 a gallon more than 44 times the price of a gallon of gas. Seems ridiculous.

I always recommend the strip house. Just a great place.
We always go to the downtown ,huge difference!
We never had our steak so under cooked and really did not enjoy our Valentine's Day dinner unfortunately! We always go to the downtown location but this time we decided to visit the midtown because we went to a Broadway show and it was convenient but it was like visiting a cheap restaurant, in many years we ate a a delicious steak and always spoke so highly to my friends how Strip house steak is the best, we were really disappointed! This midtown location is definitely not good!

Been to Strip House Midtown for S.Valentines's treat, food is sublime , we had Filet Mignon and NY Strip as side we had garlic French fries and Strip Potatoes (kind of mash with bacon and gratin!!). Cannot complain about the food (Meat portions are big, be aware of that) I have to say that the only thing where I felt a bit let down was the wine list, very complete but truly overpriced.

Excellent NYC steak house restaurant
We were looking for a place to have a good pre-theater dinner and The Strip House was recommended by a friend. As it was close to our hotel, we gladly took his advice. We couldn't have been more pleased! The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering recommendations without 'pushing' any particular item. They were aware of our need to make a curtain and they were respectful of our time constraints throughout the evening. Being a steak house, we each had one of their beef offerings and we were both 100% satisfied with our selections. The sides were flavorful and more than ample for sharing (as suggested by our server). We had to have a piece of their famous 24 layer chocolate cake and the generous leftover from that dish was cheerfully and efficiently put up for us and waiting at the coat check window. We were treated as welcome guests from our arrival until our (in plenty of time) departure. We would definitely return!
Nothing was horrible, everything was disappointing (except the buttersquash soup, that was delicious). We went as part of restaurant week, paid the extra $10 to have the strip steak and it was barely average tasting.
From the pretzel bread to start, steak salad and attentive service to the amazing sides (still thinking about the truffle spinach and the goose fat potatoes), Strip House was an excellent (but not light) choice for lunch. The charred broccoli was also delicious and was a nice side to any meal (diners with me at the seafood salad, crab cakes, salmon and steak). Service was top notch and dessert (cheesecake and rocky road sundae) a perfect ending.
