Stonewood Grill & Tavern - Port Orange Ratings and Reviews
Celebrating a birthday
There were five of us and we each enjoyed everything we ordered: wine, fish, steak, appetizers (especially the bruschetta), salads. The service was great, not intrusive but just right. Only issue was a relatively loud table next to us, but after several minutes I guess their loud chatter blended into the rest of the surroundings. Overall, this is a great place to wine and dine.

I always have a good meal, usually with my friends.
So we decided to try Stonewooc as we were visiting Daytona for a competition. My daughter has celiac disease, and can't eat wheat or wheat containing products, so I let the waiter know. She ordered a chicken breast and ceaser salad without croutons. The waiter brought her salad, and despite looking like it had some crumbs on a piece of lettuce, I was trying not to be the psychotic parent. Low and behold, she ate about 1/4 of the salad and uncovered a crouton, supporting the fact that someone had just tried to pick them out..... What?!?! Anyway, her chicken came, and beside it, a tomato half with broiled cheese and breadcrumbs on it.... Which wouldn't have been too big of an issue, but the breadcrumbs were smeared all over the side of the chicken. Mind you, this was after we had to ask for a salad without croutons..... Dinner was nice, but I'm not sure after all of the mistakes that we would return.
Good choice in Port Orange
Had dinner here. The bruschetta was outstanding. It comes on garlic bread that is so light it does not fill you up before the main course. Service was very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We went to Stonewood grill for the first time 4-3-16 for our 51 st wedding anniversary. We went early to avoid crowding. We were not disappointedly! The food was excellent. Our waiter Justin brought everything together to make it an outstanding evening. We will ask for him next tome, he was outstanding.

We put in an order for bruschetta and about 10 minutes later we placed our entree orders. The salads came out first so we cancelled the appetizer. 5 minutes after we cancelled it the bruschetta showed up. We had to ask 2-3 times to get drinks besides water. My daughter ordered buerre blanc with her dinner. It wasn't brought out with her meal. She had to ask twice for it. Overall the food was very good but the service was awful.

Nice evening @ Stonewood. There was a moderate wait but my OT rez was honored as soon as I walked in the door. The service exceeded my expectations. The food was very good. A return trip is definitely in our future.

The food was delicious though the entrees should have been timed better. They were servrd before our salads were finished.
The food is top notch. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Save room for the chocolate bread pudding !!!
Stonewoods of Port Orange.
Great food and wonderful craft beer selections Service was prompt and friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised with the fine draft beer.

Good food. Slow but very friendly service and manager. Sat in a Denny's style booth with bright lights and a party for 16 next to us after I requested a nice table for 2. There are nice places upscale in the restaurant but we didn't get to enjoy that ambiance .
Like a rock
This is a well designed and well executed restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is professional without stiffness. This is the go-to place. They will get it done. However, it is not a gourmet palace; and there is not much fussiness. It fits with J. Alexanders, Village Tavern and Houstons.
My husband and I ordered the medium well cooked burgers which took over 30 minutes to get to us. When I got mine it was burnt. Didn't get offered any bread or any kind of appetizers while waiting. Everyone around us was getting free appetizers to try. The manager came by to say she was sorry and she was getting me another burger but no appetizer offer or anything else.
We are very lucky to have SW in the neighborhood. They are the best in town by far.
Stonewood Port Orange is great
The food is fantastic! Very pricey, but for a special occasion, this is the place to go. Although our service was good, our waiter seemed really stressed out. I noticed other tables watching for him. For the money you are paying, I would think they could hire more help. It would add so much to the experience. Could have been an off night, we who have waited tables know the score. Therefore, I still would give this place 5 stars! YUM!!
Went to Stonewood for a delayed Valentine's dinner, we were expecting it to be busy, loud, or hard to get in. It turned out to be perfect. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, service was fast and the atmosphere was very nice. The only thing that bothered me, was that we were sat at a two person table in the very front, situated between the kitchen, the tavern, and the bathrooms. So there was a fair amount of awkward traffic while we were trying to have a romantic evening. We had the Seared tuna for an appetizer, and it was tasty, but it wasn't $15.50 kind of tasty. I had the Blackened chicken pasta, and while the pasta itself was tender and the sauce was good, the chicken was by far the most delicious and tender chicken I have had in a long time. My husband's steak was tender and very juicy. Even my Caesar salad was pretty delicious. Finally, for dessert we split a crème brûlée, we were given the option for vanilla bean or chocolate, but went with the vanilla. It was very smooth and satisfying, but I honestly wish I tried the chocolate. Overall, it was a great experience.
Food and service were both outstanding.
Love the Buffalo Shrimp and Bruchetta apps., but then again we haven't found anything on or off menu that has not been delicious.
Always great filet mignon!
We came in on Valentine's Day looking to make up for a not so great filet we had ELSEWHERE a few weeks before. Stonewood's filet never disappoints and this time was no exception. It is always so flavorful and tender, and the whipped potatoes and button mushrooms are a nice complement to the meat. The staff is always courteous and the music was as it should be - just background.
A great valentine's dinner
They were crowded because it was Valentine weekend. We had a reservation and only waited for 10 minutes. They had a special Valentine menu in addition to the regular one. The atmosphere was lively and very comfortable. The server was attentive and helpful. The food was very good and considering we also had wine and dessert we thought the bill was really a bargain.
Make reservations! We arrived and were seated immediately. The wait staff were very prompt with service. Had a great time, enjoyed the meal and ambiance
My answers denote my feelings about Stonewood . Great experience.
Nice night out
We haven't been to Stonewood in a couple of years because the last few experiences were lackluster. This was SO the opposite! We love the new, expanded menu. It's not boring old steak and potatoes. It was really good!
We had not been here in a number of years but we did enjoy the grouper of past years But they have changed the way it was encrusted. Breadcrumbs were burnt the sauce was ordinary. For the price I expected better. The sides were warm not hot with little flavor. I could have bought my fish and Kings and done it better at home We won't be going back any time soon nor would we recommend it to others at this time. Too many other good choices around to try. Hope they evaluate the kitchen and the line. And go back to the panko And maybe add a touch of parmasean in with the breading
They got busy and overloaded our server..NOT..food was great.

We had a great meal thanks to prior reviews as we were unfamiliar with the area. Our server, Madeleine, was terrific!
took friends from out of town. they were impressed. the usual outstanding service and food.
Pleasant evening with friends from Canada.
Great food and excellent service . We took our friends who enjoy fine dining and they were impressed. Stonewood was definitely a hit!
Very nice restaurant
I had been told this place was pretty pricey but nice for special occasions. On the contrary, we found it to be reasonable with delicious choices and in a very nice atmosphere.

It was a great meal , excellent service! Our waiter Mike , was excellent and knowledgable about the menu. We had an awesome experience. I would recommend this establishment!
Had either overbooked reservations or did not do a good job of seating walk-ins. We waited more than 30 minutes after our reservation time before being seated. It was New Year's Eve so some short wait might be expected but we noted several people being told there was a fairly long wait after their reservation time. Thus the management of the seating process could have been improved.
Our "Go-To" Place for weekends
Service and food are dependably good. The holiday menu was excellent, but appreciated that the regular menu items were available, as well. This is our favorite dining place for a bit upscale dining, when in the New Smyrna Beach area.
We are very fortunate to always be able to depend on the Stonewood to deliver consistent, delicious meals and an inviting experience. Additionally, the service is stellar and the ambiance is rich. In more than 10 years, we have never been disappointed in any aspect of dining with them. It's our "go to" place for family, guests, and special occasions. We love it! Try their Buffalo Shrimp appetizer and any of the wood-grilled fish entrees. THE best!

The food and service were top notch. Our waitress was friendly and had great recommendations. I started with the French onion soup which was very flavorful. I got the blackened grouper. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The biggest complaint for this restaurant was the temperature of the restaurant. It was freezing when we got there and we ended up getting the hot soup and hot tea to start.
Stonewoods Port Orange
We have enjoyed Stonewood many times. The food and selection are always top notch. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful and attentive without 'hovering'. We have always been very satisfied.
