Great food, beautiful ambience, excellent service!
Great menu and wonderfully prepared. Service was excellent. A bit pricey for a hotel lobby grill.

It was our wedding night and I felt like the server was just there to serve us. I was in a wedding dress and she never ask if it was a special occasion or anything.

The service was good & we sat outside so the view was excellent. I must say we all all felt the food was a little bland & wished it had a little more flavor. Although good, it fell a little short of our expectations.
SHOR is a great restaurant for evening dining overlooking Clearwater Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Service was good, waiter split the Florida garden salad without asking when I said we were splitting it and the salad was fresh and delicious with an interesting passion fruit based dressing. The seafood is always fresh and well prepared. I recommend SHOR for a romantic or special occasion.
2nd Visit a Dissapointment
This was our second time dining at Shor in the Hyatt Clearwater Beach. This time, our meal wasn't as good as before and was highlighted surprisingly by the Calamari appetizer. Our daughter and I both ordered steaks - one medium, one medium rare. Both came out "very rare." We sent them back. Same cuts of meat came back out. Mine was the correct temperature. Our daughter's was not. At that point, she gave up and asked if we'd just stop by a fast-food restaurant on the way home. The waiter took the meal back and took the charge off of the bill. Perhaps had we all ordered seafood all would have been okay. If you're looking for a steak - look elsewhere.
Overall an good experiance
We had a group of 12 which Shor could accomodate. Overall a good expeiance.

The experience starts with the server...ours was very knowledgeable about the variety of dishes on the menu( limited as they were). The presentation was lovely and the flavors made you feel as if you were in the islands dining. Thumbs up service and on a nice evening request to dine on the terrace. ..
Great for food, drinks, friends, a sunsets
My adopted brother showed up un announced and asked me to show him around. I immediately thought of taking him to Clearwater Beach and dinner at SHOR. We were very impressed. The staff was fantastic from the car valet to, the receptionist, to the waiters. They were impeccably trained, friendly and courteous. The staff was surmounted only by the food. I will definitely return.
Good place near the beach.
The service staff was courteous, efficient but not pushy. The food was good. I had the sea bass and it had a nice crust and was prepared just right. My wife had the surf and turf with the beet risotto. She doesn't like beets so I got most of it. I enjoyed it. We are inside as it was windy and overcast. As the restaurant is on the second floor, you can see the beach and gulf across the street. From where we were seated there were structures that blocked some of the view, but it was pleasant none the less. The evening was a little pricy, maybe a little more than I thought it would be, but you do pay a little more for being so close to the beach.
Dine on the balcony while watching the sunset.
The Hyatt Clearwater is a beautiful hotel, and dining on the balcony at Shor makes for a special evening.
The food was average, not bad but definitely not worth the $200 tab for buffet style brunch for 2 adults and 2 children!
Great view and service
Food was very good but a little over priced. The service was absolutely terrific! And the view was amazing!
It's a huge miss, it's an average place that is a place for kids with a view... It's beach prices, which is to say a little higher. The Sandpearl restaurant is far better which is also higher end looking. The food was good, but the atmoshpere is lacking...
Amazing grouper reuben sandwich and fried calamari appetizer. View is spectacular too! Nice and quiet and peaceful.
Lunch with Friends
Had a wonderful lunch with friends visiting from across the pond. The menu was perfect , had the Lobster Roll and Raw Oysters as appetizer. Oysters were fresh and cold. Drinks were well done, service was great. We all enjoyed the lunch looking right across at the beach while sitting outside. Little pricey but all well done.
Food awesome! Dining room NOT SO MUCH
The food was really good. My shrimp was a bit over cooked. Our waiter was wonderful. I just didn't like being seated between the bar and the main dining room. We spent the night watching the wait staff go in and out the door.

Incredible meal. The calamari was without question the best I've ever eaten. Long strips soaked in buttermilk then fried. Marvelous. The steak and pasta were also homeruns. Perhaps the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. Wonderful flavor on the steak. The snapper with chili sauce glaze was also very nice. Service was very good and a nice ambience to the restaurant. We watch the sun go down over the gulf from our table. Would definitely go here again.
This the 3rd or 4th time we've eaten at Shor and it's always a treat. In the past we've stuck to the Grouper Bites and Calimari for starters and filet mignon for mains. Always outstanding, although the mains are pricey! $38 for filet mignon. This time we stuck to all starters and we had the aforementioned Grouper Bites and Calimari - really good as usual. One of our group of 3 could have just eaten the grouper and dip and gone home! We added poutine, crab cakes and tomato and bocaccini salad. With the exception of the crab cakes the courses were really good. The supposedly award winning crab cakes were a and inexplicable mushy mess. Not fried enough perhaps? The poutine was a mess as the etymology of the word says it's supposed to be - greasy, cheesy and generally over the top. I thought it was overcooked, because some of the fries were pretty black. We got two of the salads which was a good decision. However, one of our group thought it was good. Getting two of the salads was a good decision. The cool freshness of the salad was a good counterfoil to the fried starters. Our server, Nathan, was charming and accommodating. Dinner for three was $180, including a $60 bottle of wine. With tip a little over $200. Free valet parking is a nice plus.
Welcoming place with good food
No need to leave the Hyatt:enjoy dinner and a beach view here. Our waiter Aki was helpful choosing both wine and menu items. Great service. Good food. Try the lobster Mac and cheese: lighter than expected and full of lobster. Great salads too. Overall this place doesn't miss.
Gluten Free friendly here!
Dining there recently my friend questioned if he could substitute the pasta side on an entree because he was gluten intolerant. The server said they had gluten free pasta and would be happy to serve that which was great. Before dinner was served bread was brought to the table and the server said that they were preparing some gluten free bread for him and it would be out in a minute. We didn't even have to request that, the server brought it automatically. And, there was no extra charges for this either! Very impressed.

Our experience at Shor was so so. We were sat in front of the kitchen which was very loud but really our only option, it was cold outside and the other rooms for dining were either full or way to bright and had no ambience for 730 pm dining. The service was was mediocre at best. They waiter was rude, when we asked for the wine list, he carded us immediately. We jokingly said, no one has done hat in years (I'm 38 & my girlfriend is 33). He abruptly applied. Well is spring break so you never know... Guess we are stupid too... It's February 20th. Anyhow, we order about a $60 dollar bottle. When it came time to order, we had to ask about the specials and the menu because we had no clue what we where at. I ended up ordering the monk fish, although the dish was much fuller than I was led to believe. When I asked a it , the waiter said it as flavorful, not that it was over 3 fried potato things w spinach and fish on top. The grouper was good though. Aside from not being able to hear ourselves speak, we had to move our plates out of the way when the next course was delivered and they were left at the table. We also had to remind our waiter to bring bread twice. After-all, my bill was about $165 for 2 and only when the waiter presented this, was he polite and smiled. Usually happens at tip time on a large bill. Regardless, we eat out at a nice restaurant locally once a week since we are very busy and we want to enjoy it. There are many other options than Shor
Great Valentines Day
Our first day here in Clearwater we chose Shor for dinner because of its great reviews and it was in our hotel. The food was terrific and the prices reasonable. The service was wonderful the staff took their time and let us enjoy our meal
The server was busy, we have to flag him down to take order. I ordered the seared grouper and my wife order the filet mignon. The Groups looks like it steam or boiled instead of seared in pan, but the filet is ok. The price is high consider the service and quality of foods we experience.

Tanya was personable and engaging yet not around too much. Excellent service
We went for valentine's day. The food was excellent. The service was lacking for the type of place and price. Our waiter seemed conscientious but I think they were all a bit overwhelmed.
Our hostess originally sat us away from window, and upon request our waiter readily agreed to move us. The service was very good especially considering the crowd on Valentine's Day. The menu was limited because of the holiday but the food was very good. Pricey, but I guess you have to expect that on a day like this.
Not so much
Small portions, overpriced, rushed service, lack of ambiance. In short a bad experience. Would not return.
An awesome location with the views of Clearwater .
Took my wife here for Valentines day lunch. To start off with, the weather was perfect, sunny and mild, which created a great setting for outdoor eating with views of the white sands of Clearwater beach and the blue waters of the Gulf. The waitress was very attentive and the food was tasty. It was a memorable experience.
Fantastic food and Gorgeous View!
We are locals here in Clearwater. What a great find!! We had the grouper sandwich for lunch and calamari for appetizer. Grouper was delicious! And calamari very unique, but maybe it could be crispier? And the view was to die for!!! They have a free parking garage which made it totally easy. Will definitely be back.
Great place for a ladies lunch
A good variety of choice for lunch whether your appetite is small or large. We treated ourselves to the award winning Lobster Club Sandwich. Scrumptious and abundant which is why we were not able to enjoy dessert. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Creative cuisine in wisely limited menu
The menu offers little variety within each category, but each item on the menu is exquisitely designed for complementary flavors and textures, and the presentation and service are exemplary. Prices are high, but portions are generous. Bowls of soup are large and their contents flavorful and filling. You could make a meal on soup and an appetizer, which my husband did. Entrees provide three portions' worth of main course items: my steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes fed me in the restaurant, and the leftovers fed both my husband and myself the next day. No room for desserts, sadly. Go on a fine, clear evening to enjoy the deck overlooking the beach and Gulf or the view through the window wall from inside. The night we ate at SHOR, there was rain and near-hurricane wind. Looking out the panoramic windows was distressing, with palm trees and other plants whipped up and back by the wind; on a ship, we'd have been seasick. Such a waste of what would have been a beautiful sunset view, but we had to turn our backs to the windows.
met with friends who had their old dog in the car. the waiter allowed them to bring the dog into the outdoor section with us AND brought the dog water
We arrived for an early dinner and had a whole snapper. The presentation was beautiful but the one thing which I would have liked better is more lighting. Especially eating fish where you have to be careful not to get any of the little bones in your mouth. It was just too dark to see them on your plate. The overall ambience was very nice and we were enjoying a beautiful sunset. The wine was excellent as was the desert ice cream.
Great Special Occasion Dinner spot
We went out for a special dinner for a birthday celebration. I was looking for a great dining experience and found it at SHOR. The view was great, and the dinner and service were fantastic.
Well Prepared & Tasty Food
This is worth the cost to get well prepared and tasty food. Open kitchen where each dish is prepared individually for you. Menu has some choices for all, some common entrees and some changing from time to time. I was not a guest at the Hyatt where Shor is located but it is worth seeking out this restaurant.
Went to Shor's for the first time and will be back. The food was excellent. Had the Lamb and it was cooked perfectly. The waiter, David, made the meal even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend.
Delicious Food, Beautiful Beach View, Expensive
The restaurant overlooks Clearwater Beach, facing west to avail itself of beautiful sunsets. It offers free parking with a validated parking ticket. The decor is gorgeous, but the acoustics are regrettably below average making noise levels a potential issue. We loved Shor's menu. The food is creative, fresh, and exceptional, and our service was flawless and friendly. However, I would hesitate to recommend it to a friend because of the price. The prices at Shor seem excessive and they are much higher than restaurants in the area with comparable cuisine, perhaps reflecting its location. My husband and I split one entree, we each ordered a side salad, I drank house water and he drank one glass of wine. Our bill was almost $100 with the mandatory gratuity of 18%.
