Shere-E-Punjab - Glen Mills Ratings and Reviews
We found the food here to be very authentic and delicious. The naan bread basket sampler was irresistible and our entrees, lamb vindaloo and shrimp masala were SO GOOD! We were too full for dessert this trip but will definitely return soon!

My boyfriend (now fiancé!) brought me here to this restaurant a year ago. We are now regulars at this establishment and love the food! As we are both of Indian descent (me being North Indian and he being South Indian), we are very familiar with the various cuisines of the Indian culture. The food here is always fresh and made-to-order with regards to the level of spice. The wait staff is very courteous and the owner of the restaurant is always chatting with us when we stop in for a late dinner on weekends. Highly recommended!

Delicious Indian Food in a nice atmosphere, we will definitely return. We had Korma and Masala and both were flavorful and authenticity Indian; we chose a level 3 medium-spicy and would probably go with a 2 next time. Naan was big, one should be enough for two people. Prices seemed a little higher ($2.00 higher per entrée) than other local Indian food. Place was busy, which is a good sign.

The food is amazing and our family always has a great time. We especially order their kabobs...so tasty! We look forward to our next visit! Btw, this place is great for any occasion.
Great Indian Restaurant
Very good food, very nice portions and a great value. I would recommend ordering only one entre and splitting it between two people.
Beautiful decor, excellent food
We were delighted to find this Restaraunt a few weeks ago and brought a group for New Year's Eve. Great food, great service, full bar and decent wine list.

Waiter made several good choice suggestions and the dishes were delicious! Large portions.
Nice place for Indian food
Lamb masala was awesome. Cannot get better than this. The Shrimp ginger garlic starter needs a lot of improvement. (Very bland) Very nice staff and service.

Fragrant, Delicious Food and Good Service
The food at Shere-E-Punjab has always been wonderful, now happily the service is good as well. We were seated promptly and enjoyed courteous, attentive service with an appropriate pacing of our multiple courses. We, as always, ordered more food than we could eat and happily left with enough for lunch the next day.

Food was different than other Indian restaurants and was outstanding
Nothing better than Indian for lunch.
Buffet lunch is nice because you get to taste everything without committment. No worries though, all was delicious.
Outstanding Indian food!
Outstanding Indian food!
Shere-E-Punjab in Glenn Mills is open every day of the week for lunch & dinner & also has a Sunday brunch. They have a nice selection of Indian food, beer, wine & cocktails. The three of us sat at an outside which was quite nice. Our server was Indian & although we had a bit of difficulty understanding him at first, he was quite good & knowlegeable. We started the evening with an assortment of Tandoori breads which included four flavors of Naan, which were all warm & tasty. Next we ordered a sample plate of appetizers which again we all enjoyed. One of my friends tried the Lamb Karahi (lamb sauteed with ginger, garlic, scallions, green pepper & tomatoes), the other had the Murg Makhani (chicken cooked in the Tandoor in a tomatoe, onion & herb sauce), & I tried the Murg Vindaloo (boneless chicken in a special spiced sauce and potatoes). All were served with the typical Basmati rice. Everyone enjoyed their Indian dishes & all of us thought we received a lot of food for the price. As a matter of fact, we all took a piece of Naan & a small portion of our dinners home. We really enjoyed our experience & would recommend you give this place a try.
great quality, rich flavors
The menu. offers a good selection, and all dishes ordered burst with flavor. Rich but not overly heavy, and always excellent quality. The bread (naan), especially when served warm, is outstanding . As a warning, the levels of 'spicy' (1 to 5) can be misleading - 3 is already very hot, 4 near unbearable..

We waited at our table for 10 min and a grumpy waiter took our drink order. Another 10 min passed and we didn't see him again, so we left. We were told the food was pretty good but when you wait for 20 min without putting a food order in, it's too tempting to leave this place as there are many other eating establishments nearby.
A quiet spot for good traditional indian food
Shere-e-Punjab was busy at 7:00 on Valentine's Day, but not crowded or noisy. The waiters are very attentive and the bartender made a perfect Cosmopolitan. The food was tasty and portions generous. Our only complaint is the water, which has a terrible chemical taste.
Not an Indian cuisine aficionado, but everything tasted really really good. Went for the buffet lunch - got to taste many different things. The chicken tikka masala is very yummy! My next trip here will be for dinner.

My spouse loves Indian food. I don't. That said, I did find items on the menu that fit my needs. The lamb was quite good and the garlic naan was excellent. I would be willing to go again to feed an Indian food craving.
Great Indian Food in Glen Mills
Have dined there three times. Each time the food was wonderful. Diners who ordered mild spice were as pleased as those who ordered regular or extra spicy. The menu selections are not as numerous as the Media location but they have all the dishes that one would expect. The tomato soup is superb as was the Chef's Special Biryani with lamb and chicken. The delicious Chicken Vindaloo, ordered extra spicy, generated sweat on the top of the head but was not painful, just the way I like it. The Aloo Tikki Chat was as good as we've had in any Indian restaurant anywhere in the US or Great Britain. Try it, you'll love it.
Chilean Sea Bass was the hit of the evening. Garlic Naan great as usual -the califlower and potatoe dish also ranked very high. Service was attentive.
excellent service and food
I'd recommend this place to any foodie or vegetarian (I'm both). Everything I had was deficits l delicious
Dinner was fantastic as usual! Love going there the Best Indian Food around!!!
Excellent food and the staff always has a good recommendation. I make sure to stop at this location or the one in Media once a month.
Inexpensive amazing lunch buffet
This place has a wonderful lunch buffet that offers many vegetarian options. The food is incredible authentic Indian cuisine and the service was quick and friendly. Very good eating experience.
The food was ok. The biryani was great so was the lamb samosa but the mixed grill was not exciting (Spice in Newtown Square has the best) and their masala tasted like sugar. Overall it was good but not AMAZING like some other places.
Service is lacking
Reservations at 8, No entrée by 9:20. Walked out and got a wawa hoagie instead. Never again.
A Gem: Authentic Food, Good Price
We spent time in Sri Lanka, which shares many food traditions of India. The Shere-E-Punjab restaurants serve very authentic dishes, well prepared, at reasonable prices. The layout, small bar in front and booths and tables behind, seems more appropriate to a chain, but it works. Friday night service attentive, restaurant clean and nicely lighted, and tables available, even though half the area had no power from the ice storm. For appetizers, we had wings and chick-pea battered cauliflower, both excellent. Chicken biryani (heat level 3) was the right balance of hot and aromatic, with a nice cool yogurt sauce. I like spicy, but 4 is hot. Good beer selection. Love to support a local business. An underappreciated, undiscovered gem.
Best Indian Food Around
We are fans of Indian food and have been to most in the area. This is by far the best overall Indian restaurant in the area. The food is definitely of a higher quality (meat in particular) than others I have been to. The service is attentive and food is served in a timely fashion. We go here often and recommend it to friends.
The service was attentive; the food was great and everything arrived in a timely fashion. All-round a great meal out.
Great Indian Buffet
A very nice selection (about 12 choices) of Indian food on the buffet table plus another table of salad fixings and dessert. I sampled small portions of the all of the choices offered the buffet table and all were very good. Will not hesitate to try again in the future.
Good Indian Food
Was looking for a casual Indian food for dinner, and this place came up. We tried it and were very pleased, I am not much of an Indian food eater, but my wife is, and there was enough on the menu for both of us. They also had an Indian Shiraz that we enjoyed.
I've been to this one and the one in Media both have outstanding Indian food.
Just a great place to eat
This is an awesome resturant. The people are very friendly and service is great. The variety of meals is also outstanding.
still great food, and service
still great food, and service was MUCH faster than the first time I went there.
Very Good Indian Food
No complaints. As good as you can get without being in London (or India). Excellent naan bread and pappadams (always a good measure) and the entrees were excellent.
I had been to their Media
I had been to their Media and DH locations several times and always enjoyed the food. GM location is not a BYOB, but that did not stop us from trying it. Food was consistent but wait staff was slow and our waiter forgot to take 1/2 drink orders. I will try it again.
Good Atmosphere, Wine List and Food
The food was very flavorful and you can request whether you'd like it hot or mild. They have many vegan options. The service was very attentive. They have a good wine list too.
