Poor music selection in dining room. Killed the ambiance. Maitre D was a pill about seating us one minute early. More allergen free options would be nice on the menu.
Always a great experience. Fantastic food. Awesome staff.

Delicious and Dependable
The food at Sage is ALWAYS freah and delicious. The servers are professional and attentive. I love this place!
Great place for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch
Our number one place for great upscale dining. Superb food and great service. Hip ambiance with rotating artwork by local artists. Casual dress mostly seen. Abundant free self parking. Lots of great dishes on the menu but be sure to hear about the specials before ordering. Staff is friendly and very knowledgable about food and wine. In addition to a large collection of reasonably priced wines there are eight high-end wines stored under nitrogen that you can experience by the glass without the expense of a full bottle. Lovely outdoor patio for dining in good weather and outdoor heaters for cold weather. A must place to visit for any foodies in town.

Very good bread, Excellent crab cake and bouillabaisse.
Sage offers a wide variety of delicious menu selections and a very respectable wine list in a "casual upscale" atmosphere. It's an excellent choice for either lunch or dinner. Unfortunately for those of us with allergies, they allow dogs on their outside patio (which, otherwise, is a charming option in good weather).
The quality of the food used to be reliably excellent. Now I have been disappointed on three different occasions. The last time the fish was overcooked and the braised artichokes were raw. I won't be going back soon.
Sage was a perfect spot to have a late lunch with a friend who needed to be dropped off at the airport. Knowing she would get nothing to eat on her 6pm flight, I wanted to send her off well fed. And she was. Although the quiche's crust was a tiny bit thick for my tastes, the fresh vegetables in the quiche were a delicious combination. The service on the patio was perfectly paced, and we practically had the place to ourselves.

Lunch at Sage
I took a colleague to lunch....business and friendship. The salmon was wonderful; we both ordered it and thought it was great...The flavors complemented each other and I always like that farm fresh veggies are used in unique ways and change during the year, seasonably. I usually like to eat outside for ambiance and easier conversation, but rain was in the offing this trip, so indoors was very satisfactory, but the conversation level is more noticeable than outdoors. My favorite place to eat.....
Excellent, As Always!
We took another couple with us to brunch on Sunday, and everyone loved the food, service, and atmosphere. We all had egg dishes (spinach & gruyere omelet, eggs hussard), and the chef readily accommodated multiple special requests with no problem. Very enjoyable experience. Though we've been to Sage for dinner many times, this was the first brunch, and it was delicious. The bread is to die for - sourdough chewy, with a perfect thin, crispy crust. I always take the extra bread home for a special treat later. :-) Enjoy!!

Excellent- had the pork tenderloin and it was amazing! Wife had a seafood plate and it was delicious as well. We've been living in Tally for 2 years and one of the best restaurants in town. We go out to eat regularly!
Fabulous As Always
We eat at Sage as often as we can. It is always wonderful! The food is delicious and the staff make a real effort to make you feel at home. We love the outdoor patio area when the weather is nice. The bar is great for a very different, but enjoyable drink or a full meal. Hats off to Terry White and his very capable staff for a fabulous restaurant experience!
Excellent! Everyone should try this restaraunt due to the wait staff and the freshness of the food. The creativity of preparation was amazing.

My friend and I meet for lunch occasionally and chose Sage this past Tuesday. My lunchtime favorite is the barbecued shrimp which is always perfectly put together, delicious, and satisfying. My friend ordered the crepes and enjoyed them immensely. On a recent dinner visit to Sage, I ordered wild mushroom ravioli that was superb. The wine choices are excellent but quite pricey. Worth the cost for the experience. BTW, the wait staff are always, always courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable regarding the offerings at Sage.

Another outstanding experience at Sage. Food and wine were delicious and the ambience is perfect - lively with a lot of people having a good time.

We were passing on way to Disney. This was the best meal of the trip.
Hands down some of the best food in Tallahassee
Fantastic and innovative menu. Appetizers are outstanding. Do yourself a favor and eat at the bar. The Bartenders are fanatics about their craft and their homemade shrubs. They also know the menu in great detail and will guide you to a wonderful experience.

My friend and I had a wonderful time.
My friend and I had a wonderful meal. The restaurant was quiet enough to allow for conversation. We were able to try a different drinks. The wine list was extensive but our waitress helped with choices to complement our meal. The food was plenty and delicious. We would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone.

Love Sage! The duck dish was outstanding as was the lamb. Our only complaint was the tables are really close in places & we could hardly talk over the couple to our left. We had two different couples sit there and both of the men had very loud voices and we had to listen to their entire life stories during our dinner and no matter how hard we tried we could not stop hearing them even when we talked due to the loudness of their voices!!
Used Open Table for a suggestion while staying one night in Tallahassee. We could not have done better. Obviously this is a local favorite, so we were all the more delighted with our selection. The location is a little off the beaten path (hence the local appeal). The atmosphere was modern. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. Excellent choices from the wine list. We had a sea bass entree and a scallop & shrimp dish that were both excellent. Overall a lovely evening and a great find.
A quiet, unhurried lunch for two
A late lunch: Soup of the day and quiche of the day. Perfection. Crab cakes and quiche. Again, although the crab cakes could be more crabby and hotter? Just-right service. We wish the hardness of the acoustics could be dulled so we don't have to listen to conversations from other tables at lunch and dinner. Thanks -- again!
Everything was wonderful, beautiful atmosphere, wonderful food, delicious drinks, friendly and helpful staff.
Best restaurant in Tallahassee.
This place is really a gem. The food is delicious, interesting, and makes you want to try everything on the menu. The atmosphere is warm and elegant but not too fancy. The servers know exactly what they're doing. It's simply a great place to eat, drink, and enjoy yourself. You won't be disappointed!
Sage Has It All!
We celebrated our friends birthday on a weeknight and we couldn't have been happier. Our waitress was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The food was 4 star and the price wasn't outrageous. All in all, a wonderful dining experience.
Great place, fantastic menu. Went for Valentine's Day. Started with crab cakes that had a super delicious perfectly spicy sauce. My girlfriend got the soup of the day, white bean and sausage, amazing. I ordered the duck breast, again fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection, the wine menu was extensive and the service was stellar. My only complaint was the size of the tables for 2. They were so small we couldn't fit our appetizer and 1st course at the same time.
Interesting, nice place
Great service! Food was interesting and different. Good quality. Not sure if it was REALLY worth the price, but overall a nice special occasion place.
