We have been to Ruths Chris many times in many locations and the food, service and experience are always fantastic. We went with another couple last Saturday. Two of took the waiters recommendation to try the bone in filet mignon, which we both ordered Medium. They hit the table and smelled divine, I cut into mine and it was very rare in the center. My friend's was even more rare than mine. Both steaks were sent back. The other two people in our party were basically done eating when the new steaks arrived, along with fresh sides. Mine was cooked perfectly. My friend (who happens to be a chef), received a well done dried up $69 steak (which was also sent back). Not what we are used to at Ruths and it ruined our dinner. For that kind of money, they've got to get the steak PERFECT every time.

If you are looking for the best steak in Westchester that's the place to go to . I have been in dozens of steakhouses and this is the one I keep coming back to. Great place and great staff make my dining experience superb every time I go there . Good job . See you again soon

This night was not indicative of Ruth's Chris, but was nonetheless awful. Something was off from the moment we walked in the door. It took 15 minutes to receive an initial drink, and then another 30 minutes to have our order taken. 45 minutes later, our steaks and cold side orders showed up. In the meantime 2 tables around us got up and left. I have been to many Ruth's Chris and this was the worst ever. I will have to think about whether or not I will ever go back.
I have now been hear twice and the steak I have gotten is top notch. I went for the NY Strip while my friend had the bone-in Filet. Both were excellent. Harvest Salad was terrific.
Dining here is always a night to remember.
The wine list is exceptional and only serves to enhance the dining experience. It is always a pleasure to dine at Ruth's Chris of Tarrytown.

we popped into our local Ruth's Chris for Easter dinner. We had excellent service, enjoyed our wine and beer, skipped appetizers because they seemed a bit on the hefty side and we wanted to save room for our steak. Glad that we did! Our steaks were sizable and cooked perfectly. We got the classic creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin. All very good!
No view, diners hardly dressed correctly, every dish is maxed out on the price such that the final bill is just stupid versus the value and I could go on... An ok steak house in a Marriott in an on town - nuttin special

Who doesn't love a great steak with butter!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all wish it was a little less expensive but we splurge on special occasions. I highly recommend!
Every time I dine at Ruth's the meal is exceptional the service is great the staff friendly. We have eaten at a number of Ruth's and you can count on the consistency from one to the other. Great meal can't wait to go back.
While the filet mignon was good, it was certainly not the best I've ever tasted, especially for the prices on the menu.
What can I say about the best steak in Westchester. Ruth Chis has the best steak and lamb chops in town. I don't know how they do it....I love love lamb and Ruth Chris by far has the best little big lamb chops in Westchester. I would go again and again. My son & his friend had filet migon and said is was good. I taste a little piece and it melted in my mouth. UUUUmmmmmm good.
High end, but warm atmosphere
I was told about Ruth Chris's several years ago. When I saw it as apart of Hudson Valley's restaurant week, I couldn't resist. The staff was kind and very attentive. The food was lovely. Craft cocktails were amazing. Over all a great late dinner experience.

Four of us went during restaurant week. Three had steak, which was excellent, and the 4th had salmon which she said was also extremely good. The service was exceptional - fast, friendly but not instrusive. We had a great meal, and restaurant week is a great value. The normal prices are quite a bit higher, so we would probably only go for a special occasion.
Food is always fresh and delicious. Staff is always courteous and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience.
Eating at Ruth's is a must during restauarant week. Everything you are used to, at a reasonable price. Awesome!
I was happy to see it was participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week because we try to go every time it does. Outstanding food at a bargain price. The salad had all sorts of mixed greens, not just some iceberg slapped on a plate. We all had the filet mignon, which came sizzling on the plate & cooked to perfection, with some delicious creamed spinach on the side. Service was excellent as well. Looking forward to our next visit.

Ordered steak medium rare brought to table rare. Took back to cook some more but lost flavor and greasy after retook. Disappointed.
The Filet from Paradise!
Let there be no doubt: the filet mignon at Ruth's Chris IS a trip to paradise! Ditto the bread pudding dessert, which is presented in a fantastic whiskey sauce-- something I would never have ordered ordinarily, but here it was truly sublime. We took advantage of that Godsend of Godsends, Restaurant Week, and treated ourselves to their three course lunch. We started with a very tasty salad, followed by the filet with a side of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The sides were abundant enough to share. Some lovely warm bread was also served with the meal, along with a light creamed butter. Every aspect of the experience was top drawer, with some of the most pleasant and attentive service we have had in a high caliber restaurant of this kind. We jokingly compared this with our experience at Bobby Van's in the City, where we were practically given a kick in the pants by the wait staff upon finding out that we wished to sample the Restaurant Week menu. The deprecating attitude there was almost worthy of a Saturday Night Live skit ; not so at Ruth's Chris, where the staff was genuinely a delight from start to finish. I highly recommend a visit there, even when it's NOT Restaurant Week! If you a steak lover, you simply can't go wrong. I am still salivating over that perfectly prepared medium rare six ounce filet. A culinary delight, all the way around!

Noise level made conversation impossible. The continued rushing of waitstaff past our table was not pleasant. Our waitress however, was very good.
Ruth Chris has never been a disappointment! Whether it is this location or others I have been to. While on the expensive side - you always get great friendly and knowledgeable service. Steaks always cooked as they are orders. Great entrees, sides and desserts . This visit was during restaurant week and the discounted selections where great - not a watered down version like some restaurants do.

Recently visited Ruth's Chris in Tarrytown for lunch during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and had another great experience. The food is superb --- love getting my steak on that sizzling platter! And it was cooked to perfection. Check this place out -- you'll love it.
The waiter Chris was the best ever. Asked for food to be served at a slower pace and that is exactly what happened. The food was great and the bread pudding amazing. Ordered from the HV Restaurant Week menu and we both chose the Filet Mignon, both were cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back.

Always a great meal
Never had a bad meal this is my family's go to place for any special occasion. We even make a special like for all our kids during restaurant week.

We have eaten here several times before and have always been pleased. We went for Restaurant week and were told they didn't participate. Our appetizer was tomato soup which was good not great. The time between our appetizer and main course was quite a while. When our dinner plates were taken my husband was asked if he wanted coffee with dessert . It came right away. Our desserts however didn't appear for at least 25 minutes if not more. We were told they had two large parties and the y took a while to leave. By then my husband had finished his coffee. Our food was mediocre at best so we will not be returning here again
Overpriced for value offered.
The steak was good but I can get much better value elsewhere. The winelist was extensive, and the reco9mmended was was good. However, I requested a wine that was a very good value. The $100 wine we had good have been bought at a decernt wine shop for $25 and probably cost them $10-15. The waitress was attentive and did a good jod accomodating my wife who is lactose intolerant.

Went for Westchester restaurant week which they would not honor. Only after we returned home did we see a supplemental email (after the earlier reservation confirmation we received) stating that Saturdays were excluded. Manager would not offer any accommodation so we paid for the overpriced wine we ordered and left. Stay away from restaurant week at this place. Is seems that extra tables are jammed in to maximize the head count. Overbearing pushy service attempts to get you to drop $150 for a 45 minute meal. Anyone walking in off the street would have more knowledge and finesse that the amateur waiter we got. This was our 4th and last time dining there.

Arrived at the restaurant 3 minutes before my reservation and was seated right away. The ambiance is very nice and intimate. Perfect for a date. The food was delicious and made exactly how I asked for it to be good. Servers were very attentive. Overall, a very great dinner!
Mike was wonderful
Went to Ruths Chris with Vinny. We had a great appetizer as the sea food tower was great. The caesar salad had too much dressing. The worst part was the strip steak. I ordered medium. It first came out ultra rare. Upon sending it back it came half rare have well well done. That was the end of that. They of course did take it off and brought free desert which was a nice touch. Mike the waiter was exceptional. The martinis were excellent.
