About Rustic, Francis's Favorites
Open for lunch and dinner
Francis Ford Coppola shares his personal pantheon of recipes at RUSTIC, Francis’s Favorites, the winery’s full-service restaurant. RUSTIC’s menu embraces international as well as traditional Italian dishes, with an emphasis on family-style cooking that features fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from the property’s organic herb and produce garden. Authentic, Neapolitan-style pizzas are also a specialty.
A focal point of the dining room at RUSTIC is the Parrilla (pronounced “pah-REE-jah”), an authentic Argentine grill. Manned by the restaurant’s dedicated Asador, or grill-master, it provides a true South American experience of delicious, wood-grilled meats.
RUSTIC offers service in our casual dining room and on an outdoor terrace overlooking the vineyards of Alexander Valley. A bar adjacent to the restaurant also serves a full complement of cocktails and an extensive wine and beer

Stephanie once again made a wonderful Rustic experience even better
still love it, but not the best meal we've had.
We are first family members of the winery and love to visit and taste then have lunch at Rustic. The service was great as always, but the food this time, was not the best we've had. We shared a cho cho salad, which was fine and a pizza luigino, which we order almost every time we are here. This time, the pizza was not very good. Half the pizza had no cheese on it and it was overall lacking in flavor. Hopefully this was a one time random thing. I would be disappointed if this place was going down hill.
The only thing that saved this experience was our wonderful and professional server. Aside from that, the food was inedible - literally . The pasta with white clam sauce was unlike anything Ever tasted - the sauce was astringent and the dish was sent back. The pizzas we order were flabby at best - the sausage and mushroom pizza was very bland and the sauce on the plain pizza was acidic. The escarole side dish was heavily over salted and was never finished. The stuffed mushrooms were horrible and its breadcrumb stuffing grainy and flavorless. It was a wasteful time to drive there from Napa and a huge waste of money.

Not much stood out, we were rather disappointed. This was our 3rd time; we expected better.
A Pleasant Visit to "Adult Disneyland"
A mid-afternoon late lunch on a nice Saturday was both enjoyable and interesting. A part of the Coppola Winery just off Highway 101 in Geyserville, being at Rustic is much like being at an entertaining "adult Disneyland." Lots of distractions, lots of visitors. For a mid-afternoon meal, the pizza and pasta selections were very good. As my wife commented, "everything is very good in quality, but there's hardly a healthy selection on the menu." Again, rather like being at "adult Disneyland." Nothing wrong with that. When busy, service is a little slow and distracted, but sitting on the outdoor patio provides a nice setting to just converse with friends at the table. Bargain insider: as one might expect, all of the Coppola Winery produced wines are very well priced on the wine list and accompany the heavy Italian style cuisine admirably. A pleasant afternoon was had.
We are "locals" (Cloverdale) and again we enjoyed the great food, the wonderful service, great gift shop and Ambiance, however: the noise level is horrible! I could not hear our guests from England. I cannot fully enjoy our meals while shouting across the table! Please find a remedy to control noise level.
Coppola Dining Experience
My wife and I made reservations for a Sunday evening dinner. The premises of Coppola winery is very beautiful and immaculate as you would expect. The history of Mr. Coppola 's influence and films that he has directed is overwhelming ( in a good way). Unfortunately, the food and the food service was not up to par with everything else there. I had a special pairing of food along with reserve wines. The wines were OK but not what you would expect for reserve wines. The dinner consisted of anti pasta, salad, lamb, and a lemon tart. The appetizer was great, but the Cesar salad had a strange taste and not pleasant. The lamb was not tender and was not at all what I expected for lamb (if you like Del Friscos lamb you will be disappointed). The tart for dessert was good. My wife's steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done at the same time my lamb arrived. No one came to check on how the steak was cooked. She sent the steak back and when it came back it was rushed and it showed. It felt like we had to flag someone down for everything. I would recommend going to see the place, but nothing more. It was the furthest northern place that we went and the most disappointing. It's an hour and 15 minutes one way from our hotel in Napa.
Everything was wonderful. The staff is accommodating and professional, wine list extensive, and the location is beyond beautiful. I have eaten at this location many times before, and the food is always excellent. However, this trip the zucchini appetizer was greasy and the pasta very underdone. Understandably, al dente pasta is a little chewy, but my dish, and one of my lunch companions pasta dish was very underdone. We did not bring it to the attention of the waiter, because we both felt that they must serve it that way. However, I am confident that if we would have said something to our waiter, he would have rectified the situation.

We love this place for date night. The food is always delicious. The drinks are great too. The water and bread service was slow this trip, but other than that, another great night at Rustic.
Great place on Francis Ford Coppola's vineyard
Rustic is always a pleaser and was very happy we were able to get in. Reservations usually a must. It is a great Sonoma Co. location right off of the 101 yet the actual building is far enough back that you don't know it. Whether you prefer outside or in the location is great with views of the property overlooking the vineyard. There are separate bars for those into that and a great pool/cabanas available to rent during the day/evening. We enjoyed the New York steak, bastilla, olives and ribs and were very pleased with the presentation and flavor.
we've been here several times. everything was off this night--service was horrible and they didn't care to acknowledge it. the food was meh this night--undercooked pasta, several of their favorites not available. the waitperson was truly terrible--uncaring and threw some bread on the table to make it better. it did not. Some acknowledgement that they were shortstaffed (or whatever) would have gone a long way. won't be back anytime soon.
Outstanding Gem in the wine country.
Incredulous. Great service, good food, beautiful view = "happy campers" This place cannot be surpassed. I (we, party of 5) enjoyed every minute of our special get together. Thanks, F.C.

Had a great experience. The staff was courteous. The food as amazing.
Experience is always top notch
I have been dining here since it opened and have never had a complaint. I normally order the Salmon which I absolutely love. If I have out of town guests over, I always take them there. If I can't get reservations, I order from the bar and sit out on the lower deck. The pizza is wonderful, too. Often times I eat it at their outdoor seats near the pool.
just not great
last 3 dinners have been ok, but nothing to compliment the food for. i think we may just go for pizza in the future. we like the dining room and outdoor dining, but wish the menu would get a shot in the arm with some better choices and a better chef.
Decadent lunch, Great wine, beautiful view!
Probably the best rack of lamb we have ever tasted! We skipped breakfast to make the drive down from the northern California coast so we had no guilt enjoying the most decadent lunch imaginable. First to the table were the zeppole-like hot salted knots in brown paper - simply delicious! The wine was wonderful - Coppola's Reserve Syrah and was the perfect compliment to our Madame Bali Rack of Lamb and "Habit Forming Ribs". The entree accompaniments were pleasing to the eye as well as fresh and delicious. The service was first rate and the view was spectacular! Roses and vineyards were bright and fragrant from the terrace.
We found good choices on the online menu. The wine was great for only $12 a bottle: Rosso and Bianco red blend. The hamburger was expensive, but very tasty. The waiter and the assistant manager were friendly and helpful. We will go again.

What happened to Rustic?
I had been to Rustic prior to April 9th and had a very good time, good service, and food, which is why I chose Rustic for my wedding luncheon. We were seated very closely to two large tables of women and the noise level was unbelievable! Acoustically, the room is a nightmare! My pizza was very soggy, totally undercooked, as were my husband's ribs. It was a very disappointing meal for my party, unfortunately. There are too many other venues to suggest Rustic in the future to friends and visitors. Very soory for this review.

We have been to Rustic twice in the last 2 months both times for birthday celebrations. In February we went on a Tuesday for A Tavola, which was AMAZING and entertaining while providing our group of 14 with fabulous food. It was an evening to remember! This last week we ate outside on a warm evening to celebrate our daughter and granddaughter's birthdays. It was a beautiful evening on the terrace and the 5 of us had a wonderful evening; even our 7 year old granddaughter enjoyed it. She said that our server looked like Prince Charming from Cinderella. He did look spectacular and the service was stellar! We will be back and bring friends to celebrate life! We love going to Coppolla's & Rustic, Francis' Favs!!!!
Dinner with the Family
We have had many dinners at the rustic. This was not a good one both my wife and my dinners were overcooked, I had a steak ordered medium rare and she had salmon. First bad meal we have had there in about 5 years of eating at the Rustic. They did not charge me for my dinner. Thank you Chris (Our server) great guy. We will return for more, this must have been a fluke. We will see.

Had a wonderful time at Rustic and looking at the grounds and gift shops. The staff was so nice. Our waiter was excellent -sorry I can't remember his name. The food was so good too! Yes, yes I would recommend this fun place to all. Had been once before for a special occasion dinner and a party of 20. Enjoyed it then too!

I had a glass of Sparkling wine at the pool bar and then had the grilled salmon on the patio at Rustic and it was delicious!
Slow service. Either understaffed or inefficient.
Lunch took nearly two hours even though we arrived at 2pm, after their lunch rush. They were unable to seat us in their patio even though there were many empty tables when we arrived at 2pm.

Every time I come, it is better than the last. Everything is always so good and make me want to come back for more
The fries were fabulous.
This visit I had their hamburger and fries. The fries were fabulous. The hamburger great but a little too thick for a lady. Hard to get my mouth around it with the bun. The weather was cool so we sat by the window with a lovely view. Our waitress was delightful and friendly. The place was jumping during spring break. Every time I have dined here, the experience has been great.
Tuesday nights at Rustic are very special. A variety so entrées make the rounds for the diners. The servers are enjoying themselves with songs and fun. Don't miss the opportunity to visit on a Tuesday night.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance
Very much enjoyed Easter lunch/brunch. The restaurant was crowded but the service was still excellent as well as the food. Luckily the weather was beautiful so being able to sit outside and enjoy the great view added to the enjoyable experience. Our waiter was great - wish I had gotten his name.

Ford Coppola's Rustic Restaurant
The Rustic restaurant is located at the Francis Ford Coppola's winery . We had a wonderful lunch there. My wife and I sampled 6 different wines with our lunch. We both started with a mixed green salad. She had an incredible grilled salmon, I had the Italian sausage pasta (salmon was better). The panna cotta for dessert was sublime and is the best I have had. Wine selection was well paired with the meal and service was great! This was great value and is an excellent way to culminate a drive up to the wine country. And for the car guys, there is 1948 Tucker on display.
We celebrated our 26th anniversary here.
We were seated by the window with beautiful views of the vineyards at sunset. Kelly, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and food. Cesar salad was exceptional. Rack of Lamb was good as were the "Habit Forming Ribs". We have already recommended it to friends.
My husband and I enjoyed every second.
Beautiful place, awesome outdoor dining, great food, wine and knowledgable staff. Great place to enjoy our 15 year anniversary! Wish we would have bought even more wine than we did! Do the premium tasting it's worth it!
We did the Tuesday night family night dinner and honestly by the time dessert came I could not look at food anymore. There was so much and everything was delicious, great for a special occasion or large party.
Make sure you make reservations no matter when you go or what you think. Very noisy so don't plan a comfortable conversation. It's a slow paced restaurant so don't try to rush. The
Touristy but still fun
Went with a 13 year old who enjoyed the museum and stuff to look at. Food was very good, but took an awfully long time. They were busy, but not overly. Touristy for sure, Coppola's name on lots of expensive stuff to buy, even pasta sauce, but fun to go that route sometimes.
Restaurant had a few memorabilia items from his movies which was cool. Food was good, had the salted cod which was prepared to perfection, though they screwed up and brought out dinners at different times. Comped the dessert, which was good. Out of all the amazing places in Healdsburg I wish I had skipped this and stayed in the city. Service was pretty lacking as we had to wave our server down when we wanted something.
