Fresh Great Tasting Food
The food at Rosemary and Thyme is fresh and light. Even the pizza seems lighter. The wraps are tasty and the soups delicious. Always have a good meal here for a good price.
This is our new favorite place to dine. The menu is a bit pricey, however, the food and service make up for it. Their brick oven pizzas are outstanding. Enjoy a glass of wine and delicious crispy pizza next time to dine here. Love this place.

Valentine's Day Dinner
Rosemary's Thyme is one of our regular places, and seemed like a good choice for Valentine's Day dinner. We would do it again, but would stick to the regular menu rather than the specials. Things they do well, they do all of the time, like the pastas and kebabs. The beef special was sweet, and not in a good way. On the other hand, my husband's dry martini was the best he's ever had there.

Well Worth Adding to Your Dining Favorites
One of our regular places to dine. The menu is excellent with lots of choices from light eating to a full dinner experience. Their Mediterranean salad is notable as is their Crawfish with Saffron sauce, but you cannot go wrong with the Branzino. Once you have dined here you will return I am sure.

A discovery close to home and I am grateful. I'm a bit picky -- I don't like chain restaurants.
I like the variety here: lots of Turkish dishes, some Mexican and lots of Italian. All of it was delish!

Needs Work on Service and Authenticity
My husband is from Turkey, so when we saw a lot of the menu was Turkish, we had to check it out even though it was a drive. Unfortunately, we waited nearly 15 minutes for service, having to ask for one to come to our table after a couple sitting next to us who had arrived after were servied first. Also, our waiter did not seem knowledgeable about Turkish food, mispronouncing Çöp Şiş (actually pronounced chop shish). While the menu on the website spells most of the Turkish items with the accents, the one in the restaurant did not have the accents, and he pronounced it as it seemed to read in English, even after my husband had said it correctly when ordering. I'm not sure, but the waiter may have thought he was correcting my husband or he didn't pay attention. While the the Çöp Şiş, branzino, and, mussels meze were tasty, my husband did not think his adana kebab entree was authentic, tasting like it was made from pre-made gyro meat instead of freshly sliced döner meat. The lahmacun we shared was not bad, but while the waiter claimed to have given us all the accompaniments, they were not authentic as well, missing the tomatoes and replacing parsely with lettuce. While the restaurant is not completely Turkish, they should make sure their staff is educated about what they're serving, and with all the multiple authentic Turkish restaurants around town with better service, there does not seem much reason to make the drive again.
Neighborhood Gem -- A Place to Love
We have been going to Rosemary's Thyme Bistro since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food and service is always excellent and everyone is very friendly. We can't wait to see what their new renovation will reveal. This is a place that will find a place in you dining heart and you will return time and time again.
Mother's Day disaster
We made reservations for Mother's Day lunch in the mid-afternoon. We were greeted and seated promptly. The servers were very busy so another server took our drink order within a reasonable time period. After placing our order for lunch with our waitress- a salad, two sandwiches and pancakes - we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food to be delivered - and then it came out one dish at a time over 5-10 minutes. Our waitress apologized repeatedly, refilled our drinks and repeatedly offered more bread. The manager came over once and offered to check on our order. She reported that there were 3 tickets ahead of ours (we had been told this same thing about 15 minutes earlier by our waitress). She did not apologize or offer anything other than more bread. She said that someone should have told us when we were seated that the kitchen was running about 45 minutes behind on orders due to the busy day. When our food arrived it was good but we we asked for boxes and the check and ate part of our meals but mostly just wanted to leave. The restaurant did take 20% off our check and did not charge us for the iced teas and sodas. I was most disappointed that the manager was not more involved with making our dining experience better. I was dining with my husband and two teenage kids and since it was Mother's Day I did not want to have a negative talk with the manager but we left certain that we would never go back because of how unpleasant it was to sit in this restaurant for so long feeling very hungry and be offered just bread and drinks.
Good Food/Slow Service
The food was good. Unfortunately they had a lot of customers and the kitchen could not keep up. We waited over an hour for any of our food to come out. The waitress apologized and did all she could and they did take 25% off the bill. Will go back, just not on a holiday.
Excellent Local Gem
We have been going to Rosemary's Thyme Bistro for over 20 years. It is on of our local favorite spots to eat. Service is always friendly and good. The food is excellent and the wine list is not extensive but very adequate with very good selections to complement any meal you choose. We highly recommend this cozy bistro style local gem.
Super gem in Clifton shopping center
Delicious food and affordable wine selections, attentive wait staff, and great ambiance!

This is the perfect neighborhood gem. Over its long history it's remained the same reliable restaurant serving fresh and tasty food dishes! Bravo
A very disappointing experience.
They make Turkish coffee ...albeit not that well. That was the highlight of the experience. After making a mistake on the food, they remade the food - wrong again. Then we were told the meal was taken off of the check, only to find out that was a lie. It was too difficult to try and find someone to fix the issue. They also didn't check us in at the beginning of the visit, despite me asking a few times, which meant opentable thought I hadn't honored my reservation.
Nice neighborhood restaurant
Very good food--never heard of this restaurant before until we did a search for "seafood" restuarants.. Our entire party had salmon and it was very good. Atmosphere was nice--little noisy in the restaurant as it became crowded. We dined on a Friday evening so it may have been a littel busier than normal.
Eastern Mediterranean gem
After my wife and I came back from Turkey, we searched extensively for a good turkish joint the the Fairfax area. This was our second time here and we still are very much impressed with the food. Their meatball are full of flavor and are moist. They have several different sauces, notably the tomato and yogurt sauce on their fried manti. I happen to be a huge fan of eggplant, and the imam has a great balance of tomatos and onions that compliment the eggplant they are wrapped in. It is a smaller joint that they fit a bunch of tables into, so it does get a bit noisy in the back ground. However it does provide a great atmosphere, and i never trusted quite restaurants much... They have an outdoor area to sit, but it is winter and was not open. The service is good, it was valentine's day, so they were at max capacity and the servers were busy. Over all it is a great restaurant and i am looking forward to returning to try something new!
Normally a great restuarant, but not tonight
This is the most dissapointing experience I have had at this normally great restaurant. Seems like it can easily be traced to lack of servers available, as the food was normal, just warm not hot.

Nice restaurant with very good eats. All the food is well prepared and very enjoyable. Our waiter was terrific and very attentive. We could not ask for more.
It is a little crowded as the tables appear just piled on top of each other. The grilled calamari is great and is in a sauce that is outstanding. The pizza was fine but the Mediterranean pide is just lovely.

Huge menu. Kids love the pizza. Pide is outstanding. Usually crowded but you can normally find a table so great for a last minute reservation.
Decent food, poor service
The restaurant was fairly busy, still tables available at 6:30 which was good because they had no knowledge of our reservations. The service started out great but after taking our orders our waitress was non existent for our table. I couldn't even catch her eye while she was with other customers. We had to ask several other servers for refills, boxes and the check. The menu is extensive and kind of all over the place. Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian. My husband enjoyed his pizza and the pulled lamb with the puréed eggplant was decent but I question the addition of 'Mexican' styled beans on the plate.
Dishes were delicious. i had the Tortilla soup -- it had the right amount of kick and the Adana entree served on a bed of steamed seasoned rice, steamed vegetables and beans Try It!
Fantastic Mediterranean Food!
This place is really great. I found it while perusing Open Table looking for a new place where my husband and I could go have lunch near our home in Fairfax Station and Rosemary's Thyme Bistro popped up as an option. We both LOVED our food. I had one of the fabulous pides and my husband had a lamb shish. We will definitely be back to try more options from the extensive menu--this is a fantastic place to go for really amazing (and authentic) Mediterranean food!
I've lived in the Centreville area for 20 years and have only been to Rosemary's Thyme a handful of times. It's one of those places that's tucked away in a shopping center and easy to overlook when considering restaurant choices. Every time I visit I wonder why I don't go more often. The food is consistently good... it's easy to get in and out... menu offers great variety... I love that they offer reservations... service is great. We'll be back soon!
The restaurant accommodated our group of 8 adults and 2 children with no problem. We waited longer than expected for the first round of drinks, but otherwise the food and service was good. We will go back.
Always a great option...
We always enjoy coming here. One great thing is that, despite being very popular with locals it's not as well known outside of the area; which means that on a Friday night we can easily get seated for 6 without waiting an hour, even on short notice. And the best part is the food is great with lots of interesting menu choices: fresh pastas, brick oven pizza, and their amazing Iskender and Kebabs. You will wish your mouth was bigger!
Always a favorite
This is a neighborhood favorite. I don't get around to going there as much as I'd like.
Party of 6
Everyone ordered several different entrees and they were all judged well done!
Nice place for casual breakfast. Very attentive and friendly service. We had Turkish omelettes, which were really interesting. Moderately priced. We sat outside, which was pleasant, although it's just in a strip mall.
Where to begin? Waiter didn't know what Belvedere or Kettel One was...thought it was beer. We gave an order for an appetizer that did not get served to us until we were almost done with our main course. Food was lukewarm and salad was soggy. Wanted to order a latte for after dinner from a list of seven coffee drinks including espresso, latte, Turkish coffee, Irish coffee, cappuccino, regular and decaf coffee BUT, they had none of the coffees except regular and decaf. Ordered the regular and it came to the table lukewarm also. Wait staff hung around the bar socializing and texting on their cellphones. We should have ordered out and stayed home. What a waste of money.
Very Pleasant Surprise
Delicious food, great service and very fair prices. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting much from a spot in a shopping center, but this is a place I'd return too for sure. There were lots of dishes I wanted to try!
Surprisingly Good Food
There were five of us and we all had something different and we each had a very pleasant experience. The "mediterranean pide" was superb. The scampi was a delight. The chicken alfredo and pizza were very good. The salmon was excellent. All very, very good. The service was attentive and appropriate at all times. This was a noisy, strip mall restaurant though, so conversation was tough. The real down side was the tables. They were sticky, some sort of unusual material that was porous. And they cleaned the tables with cloth rags. Not good. I may go back but I would ask to sit somewhere where they didn't have those tables.

A nice neighborhood restaurant, the draw for us are its pides, Saffron Crayfish, and Pasta Salad with Chicken.

I took my wife to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the food very much.
Fantastic, is all I can say.
Server was the best, food was out of this world, tried some new things, all excellent, appetizer was the best. What can I say we had a great time and a great meal, I wish I knew the servers name, she was super.
