Ralph's of South Philly - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
Always delicious with wonderful service. This is a family owned restaurant that cares about all aspects of your dining pleasure. Yummy!
We love going to Ralphs in King a Prussia. The food is excellent. Love the peppers and cheese with the crusty bread. Wonderful service. On Friday nights there is a great Frank Sinatra singer, Steven R which we enjoy very much. The bar is a fun place to have small plates and gin and tonics. YUM. Perfect night out!!
Enjoyable with some reservations
Arugula salad Was very very good. Fruits and tomato's all very fresh. Veal Picante was a disappointment. Veal was tough, dry, and tasteless - probably overcooked. Shrimp Scampi was very good and not overladen with garlic. Shrimp were large and lots of them. However, would have preferred that the tails with shell be removed before adding the shrimp to the pasta. . Annoying and somewhat messy to have to get rid of tails with shells before eating. Friday night was music night at the bar. Bar is next to the dining area. It was very loud and would be ok if you like imitation Sinatra singers.
The food at Ralph's was delicious! We arrived about five minutes late, and that was no problem. We were seated immediately, drink orders were taken, specials were given....service was great! I definitely recommend the eggplant parmesan.
Service and food was excellent. I will return my next business trip to Phila/Valley Forge area. It is a great place. Everyone was pleasant and it was a nice dining experience.

Had a really nice birthday dinner at Ralph's with my sisters. Had the spinach gnocchi with Gorgonzola and it was delicious! Service was cheerful and prompt. And prices were very reasonable.

The staff were great and we loved the Sinatra singer! He is a class act, sounds great, and was wonderful with our party.
Can't wait to go back!
The food was some of the best I've had in a long time . The sauce on the veal piccata was amazing, my beet salad appetizer was sooo good. They make their own mozzarella and roast their own beets. The cannoli was better than Termini's! Our service was of the highest quality .
Everything was absolutely delicious. Appetizers were amazing. Dessert was so good. The meals were such a treat. Relaxing environment. Can't to go back.
Very good food
We enjoyed our meal very much..the food was authentically Italian and delicious, came out hot and fresh. Could've had another shrimp or two on my penne alla vodka with shrimp but it was very tasty. The meatballs are excellent. The ambiance is far from South Philly, but pleasant with a nice bar and we enjoyed the live vocalist singing Sinatra. Would definitely go back.

Review of Ralph's
Love the phone and the ambiance. Serve was awesome. We were placed at one of the strange tables in the middle section. We were kinda of sitting next to each other instead of the traditional way, across from each other. This was my only criticism. They should get rid of those tables. No one wants to sit next to their date and not be able to chat with eye contact. I think they sat us there because we looked like a younger couple who wouldn't complain.
We were disappointed. Ralph's, KoP did not meet our expectation. We've heard mixed reviews about this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try during restaurant week so a charitable donation was made to CHOP. I still want to try the original Ralph's in south philly but do not recommend this location for fine dining.
We really liked the food and they had live music the night we were there - a Frank Sinatra impersonator who was pretty good. The setting is a little odd and it definitely still feels like you are in a hotel, but the food was great and we enjoyed it.
Everything was great....as always!

Incredibly rude waiter
I love Ralph's of south philly so I booked a business dinner at the location in King of Prussia. It was a more central point for the group. As soon we were seated I could tell immediately the waiter was either annoyed or frustrated. It turns out he was just plain rude. Being a business dinner I asked to have the food and alcohol bills separate. The waiter did not like that and then forced my party to walk up the bar the buy a drink...We had to order appetizers and dinner together because he refused to let us just put apps in before the party figured out what they wanted for dinner....I asked him for more water for the table and he slammed a bottle down next to me...He mocked they way my party pronounced the food they were ordering in a very rude and condescending manner...We were a polite group and could not figure out why he was so rude to us. Then dessert he was mad we all ordered coffee! He huffed and puffed while filling the cups. In then end I paid the bill and noticed gratuity already included. I paid not making a big deal for it was a party of 14, including my boss and his boss. They commented how rude the waiter was and hoped I would reach out to Ralph's in KOP to voice our bad experience. I've never in my life been treated so poorly at a restaurant. I grew up going to Ralph's. I was proud to bring my out of town coworkers to such a great place. After how we were treated, I don't think I'll be going back ever again. I was so embarrassed how my coworkers were treated after I raved about Ralph's. I hope this is read and taken seriously. You have lost a life long customer.
Disappointing prix-fix menu
We were all disappointed with the Restaurant Week selections. The 4 choices were probably the cheapest and lowest quality selections from their every day menu. We expressed that concern to our server and even he said "Yes, I think they do that on purpose so you are forced to order from the regular menu." Philly Restaurant Week restaurants offer their best selections so that people want to come back and try more. This place did the opposite. We most likely won't be back. If that was your intention - then you hit a home run! But unfortunately, you were batting for the opposing team!!!!
Ralphs Does it Again
Ralphs is one of my "Go To" restaurants. As I live in the burbs over the last 20 years we have lost many of the Family Italian restaurants that once dotted the suburbs. I love GOOD Italian food so the large chain faux Italian places do not cut it for me. Ralphs has the BEST food and service. I don't have to trek all the way to South Philly for a quick Italian fix AND they have pretty late hours for a burbs restaurant which sometimes really fits my busy schedule.
Fine food but no atmosphere
We usually avoid your average hotel based restaurant but needed a last minute KoP reservation and had heard of Ralph's so we gave it a try. It was hard to find within the property but once we got through hundreds of conventioneers, we came to a large, bright, plain room - not too inviting. However, our table was in the back where it was dinner at least. The service was pleasant and prompt, and the food was good - good, fresh red sauce and pasta but over cooked chicken and dull, odd scampi sauce. I'd consider Ralph's a fine alternative if your first choice is booked.

It was our second visit to this Ralph's in KOP. While the food was ok it was the ambiance that we weren't thrilled about. You have to do through the front reception of the hotel to get to this restaurant and the room looks like an outdated meeting room in the basement of a hotel. The service was average, our server never informed us of the specials. The food was ok. I prefer the overall experience at the originals Ralph's in Philadelphia..

The food was good. But it came out so fast that it made it fell like I was in a fast food chain. I hardly had a chance to have a drink first. I can only describe the atmosphere in the restaurant as "Sheraton Banquet Hall". It must be the rugs and the buffet table in the dining room that make it feel that way. Some tablecloths might help.
Ralph's of King of Prussia
I would highly recommend Ralph's. Only drawback is that they seem to have two rooms where they seat people and the ambience of one room made me feel like I was in a cafeteria. Main dining room is very nice. I would recommend you request seating in the main dining room.

Absolutely wonderful. Food was outstanding and Anthony our waiter was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back

Service was poor we had a party of six the food did not come out together forcing the first people served to wait for the rest to receive their food. The veal was tasteless, the eggplant was not very good, the mussels were very small however the gravy was good. The waiter never asked us if we wanted another bottle of wine, the 20% automatic gratuity for a party of six was unusual 18% is my experience
Ralph's in King of Prussia - FABULOUS AS USUAL!
Ralph's at the Sheraton in KOP has come to be one of our top two restaurants in the area. We eat out a lot, and appreciate delicious food served graciously at reasonable prices. Ralph's definitely fits the bill. If you're in the mood for sip-worthy cocktails, an extensive wine list, and truly fabulous Italian food, you should definitely check out Ralph's. You won't be disappointed. (Our personal favorites: peppers and provolone cheese appetizer, shrimp scampi, and clams and linguini in white sauce. And, the bread is delicious!)
The food was excellent . There is also more room than the one in south philly
Valentine's Day Dinner
Ralph's may not have been my first choice for Valentine's Day but definitely ended up as a great choice. The table was ready at the time of our reservation, they had the full menu available (I'm not crazy about when places have very limited selections on these type "holidays'), the service was prompt and attentive, and the food as always was very good. The meal was well paced. You knew they were trying to have a reasonable turnover rate but I never felt rushed. I hate when dinner is delivered to the table before the appetizers are done, and you could tell they were very aware of timing so this did not happen, even in a packed restaurant on a very busy evening. Kudos to Ralph's for that!

They didn't have filet or 2 dessert options that were on the menu. The waiter accidently put his thumb in the water glass and never replaced the water.
A step below the original
Great spot, but its not the original Ralph's. There's no replacing the homemade pasta of the original.
I've been to the original Ralph's in South Philly. The food here was just as good. The ambiance isn't the same, but it is appropriate for a hotel restaurant. It is a fun place to go. It was noisy so not the best for a romantic evening. They did turn over the table quickly. We didn't feel rushed; the food just came out very quickly. Overall, the food was excellent, and I would come here again. Great hotel restaurant and reasonable priced.

Service was excellent! Food was very good! I would definitely recommend for a nice night out! Noise level was loud. All else was enjoyable!
Oir first time to Ralph's and will not be our last. Everything was perfect from being greeted, seated, server Anthony and food! Anthony was always on point making sure we had enough time to view the menu, spacing out salads to apps to entrees. We never felt rushed on a Valentine's Day Saturday night. The food was incredible and we will be back soon!

Veal parm was the best I've ever had!!!
Such a favorite!
Two of us dined. One is omnivore; one vegan/vegetarian. We always start with a serving of the broccoli rabe, and staff remembers that we prefer it cooked a bit more well done than others diners. Server gave my husband a little cup of the soup du jour to taste as he was not sure that he would like it. It was delicious - barley escarole. Husband's Veal Piccata was fork tender and sauce was perfect. All of the veal dishes can also be ordered with chicken if one wishes. I had the cavatelli and requested their arrabiata sauce which is SO good with such a nice kick to it. We highly recommend Ralph's.
Make's me want to Ralph
I made arrangements for 6 of my business colleagues from across the country to have dinner here. If this Ralph’s was anything like the location in Philadelphia, it would surely be a memorable experience. Two of my guests ordered the red snapper and immediately said it tasted awful and smelled of ammonia. The rest of us sitting at the table could also smell what was best described as ammonia. Needless to say the Waiter was asked to remove these two plates from the table. He asked if they wanted the same thing or something else. Both opted out of a main course. I ordered the stuff pepper and it was badly overdone and it looked like the cook tried to add additional sauce to hide the burnt pepper and dried out stuffing. I pushed it aside after a few bites. The rest of the meals were ok but nothing special. I would have expected a manager to visit the table; particularly after the two meals were sent back. Perhaps this type of thing happens so often they don’t care. We should have stopped at Maggiano’s on the way here. Ralph’s of Philly, this place is giving you bad name.
