    Shareable sides were really small compared to other steak restaurants but still very expensive. The steak was rough and to raw when asked for medium rare. Nothing really special about the steak. The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice.

    Hello, I am very sorry that you felt the portion sizes were to small for the price. I have the intention to provide enough food for everyone to not only leave Stillwell's full but also leave with a little bit of goodies to enjoy again the next day. I will bring this review to the attention of our culinary department. I sincerely apologize that the steak was a little bit under what our preference was, I hope that we got that prepared to your liking and that it didn't take to long to get back out to you. We never want a steak to be tough to eat and really wished that you brought this to our attentions so that we could have gotten that fixed for you. Thank you, Derek Frey

    We visited Stillwell’s expecting a great dining experience, but unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. I specifically ordered my steak medium-well, but when it arrived, it was practically raw! Instead of preparing a fresh steak cooked to the temperature I requested, they took the same piece of meat back and cooked it until it was well-done. That is simply unacceptable, especially at a restaurant that is supposed to offer a premium dining experience. I do appreciate that the manager stepped in and offered us dessert as a gesture of goodwill. However, while the gesture was nice, it didn't make up for the disappointing meal. The entire reason I choose to dine at a nice hotel restaurant is to enjoy high-quality food, excellent service, and a memorable experience. If I wanted a steak that was taken back, recooked, and served again, I could have done that at home! When you're paying premium prices, you expect the food to be prepared correctly the first time. It's disappointing that something as basic as cooking a steak to the requested temperature could ruin the entire dining experience. Stillwell’s needs to do better, especially considering the reputation and expectations that come with dining at a restaurant of this caliber.

    Outstanding steak! The New York was fenomenal. Don’t skip the dumplings appetizers. Simply amazing. The service was excellent too. Very nice place also. Expensive but worth it. Definitely a place to come back every time we’re in Dallas.
