Pinnacle Restaurant - Falkner Winery Ratings and Reviews
Impeccable service, gorgeous view, outstanding service. What more could you want?
Great food, great service and great view ...
Great food, great service and great view.
I saw the reviews on the place before I chose it and automatically thought it was going to be good. Unfortunately, it was not. Anytime I have to add salt to my food, is never good sign. I ordered one of their featured dishes the duck with risotto and a molasses sauce and the only redeeming quality about the meal was the molasses sauce and the glass of wine I ordered with it. The duck was not well seasoned and the risotto was bland. My husband had the grilled octopus over a bead of mixed greens/salad and I could tell from his non-reaction that it wasn't that great either. I tasted the octopus and again, underwhelmed. I'll admit, I have eaten at some great places, and I'm not just referring to expensive, just great tasting food and unfortunately this place did not rank amongst them. I think the only thing I will be back for is the wine. Outside of the food, the wait staff was very nice, attentive and upbeat.
Great food and great service.

Pinnacle Restaurant at Falkner Winery in Temecula
Excellent views and good food and wine selection. Pleasant place for Sunday brunch. Not crowded but comfortable relaxing ambiance.

This restaurant has a very nice panoramic view of several vineyards. The service is very good as is everything on the menu. We always eat lunch at The Pinnacle on our ways from Fullerton to Borrego Springs.
Delightful Lunch Experience!
We had a delightful lunch served by friendly wait staff. Very surprised to find gluten free within the regular menu. And, a diverse menu, not just the usual lettuce wraps as in most restaurants . The view was spectacular at lunch time, the whole experience was ripe to be repeated.
lovely Easter brunch
We took out of town guests here for Easter brunch. There was plenty of food to choose from. The large shrimp were especially good and the lime and lemon dessert tarts were amazing. The service was great and the view across the area vineyards was beautiful.
nice restaurants in the wine country of Temecula
great views, decent but not great food, so so service - adequate, but the server so obviously would rather be somewhere else that we tried not to bother her too much. VERY noisy, we couldnt keep a conversation despite restaurant being only 1/2 full.
Such a treat
I love their food. The flavors and the attention to detail is impeccable. Like nothing I can get anywhere else. It feels like I'm at the most ritzy of places but that is in my budget. It is such a treat coming here. Th only reason for a 4/5 service is because the man who served us waters, rushed over to our table, plopped them down hard and turned to leave without any acknowledgement to us. This was before any server can to greet us. It was strange. And the table was wobbly - but eyh...
Weekday lunch at Pinnacle Restaurant in early March. Food was very good and view excellent. Room however was large, with a high ceiling and basically cold and uninteresting, especially for a winery dining room. All would have been fine if we could have eaten on deck outside. Unfortunately it was windy and not yet warm enough. Food and view almost made up for room.
Great place to take a break from wine tasting!
Although we didn't love the Falkner wines, we really enjoyed this restaurant for lunch. There was a great view of Palomar Mt. and the food was good.
Pinnacle is no longer at the top.
Pinnacle used to be one of our favorite places for lunch when visiting Temecula. On this visit, it has become apparent the quality is not what it used to be. My wife orders the lobster mac every time we go and I have always been impressed with the lobster chunks in the dish....this time there were NO visible chunks of lobster. My seafood Portofino was far from amazing and flirted with boring, bearing very small pieces of seafood and no real seasoning to speak of. I hate to say it, but we will probably start to venture out and try new restaurants after this last visit. On a separate note; our server was brand new and she did a fantastic job! She was on top of keeping our glasses full and making sure we had everything we needed.

They were very accommodating since we came in for a late lunch and the kitchen was closing. Service was outstanding and the food very tasty! They provided warm gluten free bread upon request also! Amazing view!
We have been to the Pinnacle, the past three Valentine's Day. We enjoy the food, the wine, and the beautiful view. It's a wonderful place for lunch!!!
Love This Place
The manager and our server, Tina, were very personable. I took my husband there for his birthday. Generally, we would go to Wall's Desert Turtle, in La Marriage, but it's quite a way when driving at night becomes difficult. Then I remembered The Pinnacle, and there food is every bit as good. So yes, It's charming, the view is beautiful, the atmosphere is what you make it. Give it a try. If you want good food in a wonderful, semi elegant place, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Everything was perfect. This was our first visit there but will for sure go back again. Loved my pasta and the service was great.

My wife and I wanted to try a new restaurant in the Temecula area. We enjoy wine tasting, after looking online, we stumbled acrossed a Yelp review for the Pinnacle on the Faulkner winery grounds. The reviews were favorable and we noticed a server named Tina was mentioned many times. Once we arrived we ordered our appetizers, and lunch. Our server was very friendly, she made us comfortable and she was attentive appropriately. We ordered an appetizer, Brie with apples and the calamari, which was really good. For lunch I had the steak with Demi glacé. It was cooked perfectly and the overall flavor was fantastic. My wife had the chicken with risotto, she enjoyed it. After our meal, our server asked if we we were celebrating something, we told her yes our 26th anniversary , only to find out she had mentioned it to the manager. The staff proceeded to serve us a complimentary desert and wine. It was delicious. As we were getting ready to leave, wouldn't you know it all along we were being served by Tina, we told her she was famous. We all laughed, seriously we truly appreciated how she interacted with us and the other guests. We will be back.
Great place for lunch
My party of four had lunch on a Friday afternoon in January. Scott, our waiter, was outstanding. He recommended several items that were delicious and he took very good care of us throughout our meal. The view from the restaurant is unparalleled in the valley. I highly recommend Pinnacle!
Server seemed hurried and disinterested in the outside tables. She stated she is in charge of weddings and groups and seemed annoyed she had to serve the outside tables. Played are small for the price and uninspired
The restaurant was nice with friendly service but not quite as warm compared to our experience with other similar restaurants in the wineries. Food was okey, but not spectacular. But it's the noise level in the restaurant that would discourage me from going back to entertain my friends there for lunch or dinner. I think the acoustics need to be improved. The overall conversation from various diners bounced off the walls and we could hardly hear our own conversation. They may need to put some area rugs or add more wall decor or whatever it takes to filter the sound.
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Our server, Tina was extremely rude. Our reservations were at 2:30 and online reservations indicate the restaurant closes at 3:30. She was very snippy and thanked us for making it since they "close" at 2:45. She left sometime during our meal and never even told us. The "manager " came out and said he gave us 10% off since she had to go , which was news to us. We asked about dessert and he offered us ice cream. Although this is a beautiful location there are many other beautiful wineries and restaurants in the area where the service and staff are super friendly and provide outstanding customer service. I would not go back here.
Great Meeting Place
For years we have met friends from Carlsbad at this wonderful restaurant. We drive down from Los Angeles so it makes a good meeting spot. The food and wines have always been great. This time we tried the Riesling with lunch and it was perfect. There is also a tasting room adjacent to the same parking lot. To clarify the noise level rating, with a fairly full dining room it is moderate. On a less busy weekday for lunch it was quiet.
This was nice overall restaurant. The view is nice the food is good. The service is great.
Pinnacle Restaurant - Temecula Wine Country
The Chef is always creative and the food is delicious. A must visit to the this restaurant when visiting Temecula Wine Country and the Faulkner Winery in particular.
Had expected an excellent lunch but found the service and food exceptional. And at all at a moderate price. I could not ask for more. Wonderful view overlooking the vineyards.
We went here for our office Christmas lunch. The view was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The food was excellent. There was a good variety and everyone on staff was able to find something they liked. I can't say enough about the service and staff - they were very just perfect. They even made suggestions where to wine taste after our lunch.

Ordered the lobster pasta. Virtually tasteless. Would never order again. The steak salad looked good.
We live nearby and wanted to like this place. They are a long standing winery in Temecula, we assumed it would be another great spot in wine country we could enjoy. We joined them for lunch, it was $75 for 2. We had a small appetizer, a burger, a salad and 2 glasses of wine. Nothing was prepared as we requested. Our server was nice, but bored. He stopped to chat way too much, bordering on disruptive. Overall, they have a lovely view, the wine was nice but it was quite a disappointing culinary experience.

Very quiet Wednesday. Staff very attentive and the food was very good. Beautiful view.
Great Food if you can stand the noise!
We usually go on a Sunday, but went on a Saturday this time. The food was outstanding, but we could not carry on a conversation without yelling at each other. The waiter, Scott was fantastic, but also needed to yell so we could hear him. They need to seat big parties on one side and 2-4 guests on the other side. We were seated in between 2 large bridal shower parties!!! The salmon was wonderful and the crunchy ahi salad was perfect!
Great food, awesome service, fantastic wine list! Terrible noise level. The noise level was atrocious. Our group was unable to have a conversation over the birthday party and baby shower next to us.
Great service, ambiance and food!
Beautiful view and amazing service. Great spot for special occasions. Food is amazing, talented chef!
View of the wine country
A spacious dining room with wonderful views of the Temecula Valley wine country--perfect for lunch, because the scenery is lovely. Food was very tasty; wine good. A pleasant experience.

Good service. Wine selection adequate. Salmon was a little overdone.
Fabulous lunch with a hilltop vineyard view.
We loved our experience at Faulkner's Pinnacle Restaurant! The curved arcitectural dining room with spacious view- filled Windows, framed each table setting. The wait staff was welcoming and attentive, the food creatively prepared and absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was serene, and surprisingly intimate given the spaciousness of the room.

Our server Tina is always great. We definitely recommend this restaurant. The cook Gianni is great.
Our waiter, Scot, was excellent. He was the reason we enjoyed the experience. The balance of the staff did well but not exceptional. The food was very good and the wine was paired well. Anniversary lunch with a bottle of wine between the two of us -- $100. We understand why other reviews comment on the noise. It's all hard surface and it really is a wedding reception hall that does well as a restaurant. There were few there which is why the noise was minimal. But if it were crowded, the noise level may have been a negative factor.
don't eat here
Restaurant was very clean and also had spectacular views, just DON'T ORDER ANY FOOD. Food was horrible and as a foodie and home "chef" myself, I've not been to a restaurant with such horrible food and such nice ambiance. The person cooking (can't call him a chef) should be replaced IMMEDIATELY, and hire some young chef from a local culinary school who knows how to cook seafood. We had 8 people having lunch and the only food that was not horribly prepared was the SANDWICH. On top of that, the waitress/hostess never offered a reduction in the ticket. Yes, she replaced one bad dish for another and we didn't have time to go anywhere else. If we did not rent a party bus, WE WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT. Seafood was overcooked, salmon was dry and overcooked, the herbs on the salmon were not cooked at all, calamari salad was tasteless, risotto was mushy and tasteless BUT the lobster mac and cheese was probably the WORSE THERE IS ON THIS EARTH
