Enjoy the different menu items... Much more than your standard fare. Great lunch experience.
Good food, fair service, freezing temperature
We had 9 people getting together. A week before, I had requested a quite spot (like in the back, where they had put us the last time), but we were out in a noisier area. The food was good, and the setting nice, but the service was very slow, even for nine people: 90 minutes for entrees. The worst part was that it was very cold, and the air conditioning was blowing on us (they didn't need it for the end of April). We asked repeatedly to turn it off/warm it up. Talked to the manager twice; it got better off and on, but made the experience uncomfortable. A couple of us left to get sweaters to put on (they had plenty of time to do so, given the slow service).
One of our favorites
WE ate here twice in 3 days last week. First was for dinner and then we came back for Happy Hour. We love chef Raquel's marvelous creations and are always surprised what she is making. We love the location and will come back often!
I have attended P&F before and had great reviews; however, our last visit the order was mis-handled, two members food came out before the rest of the table resulting in them not eating with the rest of the table, their food order was also not correct, the other orders were correct but took awhile to come out. Some of the food was cold, desserts were also ordered however only two came out and we were completely done and ready for the check when the third dessert came out. Also do to limited check ins we had to flag down our server to get the check after waiting for awhile with no communication with them. I am hoping this was an off day on food and service I have enjoyed in the past and consider it a great recommendation
Lots of great choices
My husband and I love to dine here. He loves the seared foie gras appetizer and I love the club sandwich. They have great wines and cocktails and great food and service as well.

Excellent service, food was outstanding and the environment was so enjoyable. Highly recommend for any occasion.
went for brunch and so many good choices! I think anything would have been delicious! The house Bloody Mary's were very good! They had the perfect hint of spice.
Very disappointing but from many of the reviews, I should have known better. Over priced drinks and food. It's an average establishment trying to be something it's not. The Bistro Fillet was the worst steak I have had. Tasteless and tough with a patch of blue cheese. If you're looking for an upscale Gastropub, this isn't it.
Pig and Finch
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals at The Pig and Finch. Be sure to try the short rib mac and cheese!
We were very dissapointed in the service.
We came on a slow night and had an extremely long wait time for our food. From the time we ordered until the food arrived was over an hour with only 5 tables in the restaurant. Our server was not attentive at all with our drinks empty most of the night and no explanation to the long wait time or recognition that there was an issue. I am not sure if it was the kitchen or he simply didn't put the order in. The restaurant is very nice, with a great wine selection, and the food was good. The service, however is why our group will not be back.
Our waiter, Kyle, was great! He paired an amazing red to go with our dinner. The Tiramisu was delightful.
This place is great! Great beer, great bourbon and rye. Great food.
Great business lunch meeting on a Friday.
Pleasant atmosphere for a business meeting and conversation. Service friendly and attentive, but no rush. Food very good for lunch. Lamb burger was great. Fries good while hot. Platter came with a nice green mixed salad not noted on the menu. Look forward to returning for another lamb burger.
The food was inventive as well as the drinks a great experience that should be tried at least once....may be twice....or...

Food and Ambiance were superb. Will definitely return.
The second time was a charm.
This was my second time eating at this establishment, my first experience was very unpleasant however the second time around I was pleasantly surprised at how night and day the two experiences were. When I gave my first review back in June my sister's birthday, I had one of the managers contact me about my experience she asked that I give her the opportunity to show me what kind of an establishment that she truly has and I agreed, it has taken some time to get back in but I brought my sister back to Pig & Finch to see if this experience would be any different than the first go around. From the moment my sister and I walked into this establishment we were greeted with a kind friendly face very professional young man, he sat us at a very nice table. Our waitress was very friendly knowledgeable and very attentive to everything that we needed that night, she kept checking on us to see if we had everything we needed, inquiring how our food tasted , but what really stood out for me was that the manager actually coming out and assisting with serving our dinner which was a pleasant surprise. I had the lamb which was delicious it was presented to me on the plate in a manner that made you want to dig into which I did, my sister had the steak which she really enjoyed however she stated the sides could be a little better, she had sauteed spinach and she was not very fond of it but I believe that's more of just her taste to something new I actually happen to love sauteed spinach, my entree and sides were on point... all in all I Pig & Finch has been redeemed in my eyes and if this the the norm of how this establishment is ran and the taste and quality of the food is usually like I experienced this time around then I can definitely say Pig & Finch is where I would love to come back to and enjoy another special occasion. You can tell the quality of a restaurant when the management goes through this much effort for a single guest which I greatly appreciated.
A little disappointing!
Food was well presented but a little greasy! The Tiramisu had to be sent back to the kitchen. The Manager agreed it needed to be thrown out. She offered another desert on the house, but we declined.
Had the pork shoulder rubbed in espresso and will definitely be back for it-was a great dish
New Chef Bad Food
I was so disappointed with my Valentine's Day experience. The change in chef has resulted in the diminished quality of food. I had a bland entree with an even worse dessert. The tiramisu was horrible. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
Always enjoy going there. My only issue this time was near door and kept getting blasted by cold air when people would enter. That has nothing to do with how much we enjoy the great dishes prepared there.
Waits for food, it was barely warm.
From where we sat we had a good view of the prepared food sitting on the counter waiting to go out, some plates sat as long as 10 minutes to go to a table, some longer. We were not impressed with the amount of food for the cost.:(
The food was wonderful! We would come back again! Highly recommend!
We were excited to try Pig & Finch as we had looked at their menu online and they had many great dishes. We made our reservation for the Saturday before Valentine's Day via Open Table. When we arrived we were told that Pig & Finch were on a Prix Fixe menu for the night. This was the first we had heard or this. No one from the restaurant had reached out to us nor had there been any warning when we made our reservation. The chance of finding another place to eat at 6pm the weekend of Valentines Day was slim so we agreed to dine at Pig & Finch. While our food was good and the selection adequate, the price for it was ridiculous. They charged $55 dollars for a cup of soup, a plate of gnocchi, and a single cream puff with a strawberry perched on it. If it had been an open menu we could have ordered the same for around 30 dollars. This is the textbook definition of extortion and it would seem that Pig & Finch is more focused on profit from one time dinners than repeat business. I will not be returning to this restaurant and cannot in good conscience recommend it to others.
great premium dining on value budget.
Fantastic diverse menu of premium ingredients presented in upscale casual atmosphere. Best value for premium fresh ingredients not normally avaliable at this price level. Perfect for quick bite or special occasion date night. Great wine and cocktail list. Our highest rating and encouragement to try this place. They are doing all the things the right way!

First visit, nice space, separate bar area. Small menu with a little something for everyone. Everything I saw coming out of kitchen looked good. Portions just right. Had Lamb Shank,Mushroom Risotto, Fennel Sausage,Fontina,Basil Flatbread, Brussels Sprouts. Burger next visit!

Food was mediocre - server seemed clueless at times - neither myself or my friend finished our lunch - asked for a to go box - when we got home lunches were switched.
Great food, but...
1/24/16 Starting with drinks at the bar, I ordered The Pig Martini. Perhaps the Bartendress was new? It was terrible. I didn't even mind that the glass was half full, as what was in it had no flavor and was supporting a scoop of ice chunks. We were seated and ordered wine, an appetizer, and our entrees. Server switched our wines, then brought our entrees out before the appetizer. They took or entrees back and hustled out the appetizer, but I suspect they just let our dinners sit under a warmer until we finished. The food was very good overall. However, I would expect better service considering the high prices. Given that KC is full of great restaurants, not sure I would return here.
Finch Burger is Perfection
My husband and I went for Restaurant Week. I actually ended up ordering off of the regular menu because the Finch Burger sounded delicious, and it was everything I hoped for and more! One thing to note- I ordered it medium, assuming it would come out medium-well, like at most restaurants; however, it came out medium, so order it how you want it to be.
We took a group of friends for dinner during Restaurant week. The menu was a great variety for everyone to choose from and the food matched perfectly. We were able to use the private dining area and this provided a great spot for us all to visit. One suggestions would be to keep servers out of room. We were there as a late table and the servers filtered in and out of the room regularly. We were OK with it, but I could see other groups being bothered by this. Thanks for a great meal and dining experience.
Great beer selection, amazing food
Thought the food was really amazing and had great service throughout the night. Would definitely like to go back, but when I do I will ask to be seated away from the door/entry. It was a really cold night and every time the door was opened the wind would blow through the aisle. It made it really uncomfortable and required us to keep our jackets on. Who wants to keep their jacket on during dinner? The food more than made up for the inconvenience and I am looking forward to going back.
You expect a place to put their best foot forward, this was unspectacular.
When I entered the restaurant and gave the host my name and mentioned I had a reservation for 11, he just pointed towards the back of the restaurant which was quite deep, and failed to mention there was another area through an obsure door. We also experienced soup we both ordered brought to the table tepid, it took 3 tries to bring it to our table hot! This was the tip of the iceberg of our dining experience, and I hope the staff was just having a bad day and this wasn't the norm, because it is truly a beautiful restaurant!
First impressions are important.
First time at Pig & Finch. Everything was great..had a reservation so was seated right away, drinks were made perfectly, main meal was tasty and lemon bars were delicious. My husband and I will be back.
Ok value good service
Although I don't feel what I got was a good value, my husband's meal was. Our service was great! Our waiter was attentive and make excellent suggestions.
Restaurant Week Lunch with Family
Ate lunch here on a Saturday during restaurant week with my mom and brother. We made reservations but wouldn't have needed them as it wasn't busy at 11a when we arrived. It was relatively busy by the time we left but still had open seating. I loved everything from the atmosphere to the food. We all had the baked potato soup along with the short rib mac and cheese. Neither disappointed. I will definitely be back in the evening to hang out in their great bar area.
Restaurant week choice
Excellent choice for Restaurant Week. All the selections that we had were quite tasty. The service was really good. I would return there
