An awful place - service was horrible - food was awful - I had a flatbread which looked like they had bought from Costco and microwaved it - servers were clueless, one pre-occupied with watching the basketball game, not paying any attention to what we were asking or saying - we had 3 servers, one seemed to be the one assigned / she would disappear for long - when she came back, would take forever to even bring a glass of wine - then when she came back, she had forgotten to bring a knife that we had asked for .... Will not go back this place - plain awful....
Always a great local restaurant and now with a new menu. Chef rj
Great Neighborhood Gem
At Park Place (Now Juniper) is excellent neighborhood gem. You can have a fabulous Sunday breakfast or a delicious dinner date, either way, you will not be disappointed with the food. And though I am a teetotaler, I see they have an extensive wine list available.
Got it wrong, but got it so right!
So, we arrived 2 hours before our reservation due to bad weather pretty much killing our outdoor team building. The wait staff couldn't care less. We were seated immediately to my surprise! We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were excellent and I would say better than my food. I order the NY Strip, but was delivered a Skirt Steak. Three (3) different folks apologized (which included the manager) and was promised a steak would be out quickly. It was, and unfortunately, it tasted that way too. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, but no seasoning whatsoever. Bottom line - I was happy with the evening and would absolutely go back to give them another chance to get everything right, because their mistakes were owned up to and attempted to be made better. Thankfully, all my employees meals were done properly and they thoroughly enjoyed the team building event!
Yumm and Omm
It had a special Valentine's menu.. The food was delicious.. Went there last year and the time spent there with friends was as pleasurable as the last.. The service was impeccable..will certainly go there again on a regular night..
Overpriced Valentines Day Meal
Was very disappointed with the menu selection for the valentines day dinner we had. For how much we paid the quality wasn't there. The restaurant is nice, bar is nice, outside patio looks nice, and the wine we had was excellent. Would probably go back only for a few drinks and appetizers.

My husband got the burger with truffle fries and it looked so good. :) I got the free range chicken and it was also good. :)
Work Get Together
I took my direct reports to celebrate the new year. We had great food, great service and comfortable seating for seven of us.
Great place for a family or romantic dinner. The dinner menu is filled with lots of fresh fish, chicken or steak and is prepared to perfection.
What happened to Park Place? Awful Food!
I used to frequently visit Park Place, over 75 times, and one week 4 times. We asked for water and one of us ordered sparkling water. We did not receive the sparkling water. You now have to request bread. The focaccia was stale but the other bread was adequate. We noticed that there were hardly any choices to choose from on the menu. 3 of us ordered the $36 New York and the other person ordered the $28 fettuccine. The steaks were ordered medium rare and one was ordered medium rare towards rare. The fettuccine and one of the steaks arrived. After 5 minutes, we told them to start eating as their food was getting cold. The other two steaks finally arrived. The server made a big deal and said this is the medium rare to rare steak. We asked for more bread. The server then brought out more state focaccia and said sorry there wasn’t anymore of the regular bread. We started eating, my medium rare to rare steak was light pink to brown- cooked medium well. The other two steaks were brown- cooked well-done. We were hungry so we continued eating. Not once did the waitress come back until we were almost finished with dinner and only had a small portion of steak left. I sliced up the steak and showed her my brown steak and said, I ordered this medium rare to rare but this is very overcooked. My husband said, we didn’t want to be rude and send it back but all of the steaks were not cooked correctly to order and also showed her his very brown steak. Also, the seafood fettuccine was super tiny. We have ordered this many times before and this was half the normal size. The waitress left but did come back and said she talked to the manager and offered us two desserts on the house. We ordered the chocolate molten cake and the bread pudding. The desserts came out and while the cake was decent, it was not molten. It was solid warmed up yesterday's leftover cake. The bread pudding was also very dry and stale. Overall, we were all very disappointed in the restaurant!
Nice place for a bite.
Food is very good. There is a bar in the restaurant and the noise level can be quite high. The staff was attentive and eager to please.
Service a little slow, but it was a Tuesday night and we had a big group.
Good service, mediocre food
Burger with pork belly and fried egg was somewhat dry. It came with steak cut fries, it would have been better served with "skinny" cut fries. The macaroni size of my daughter's Mac & cheese was too big which takes away the creaminess of the sauce. Our server was attentive, warm and friendly. We will likely not return.

This was a chance experience and are we glad we tried it. The food was excellent the service was peefect. My husband ordered the Park Place Burger. This is no ordinary burger, it has a garlic aioli with pork belly , white cheddar and handmade and served on a brioche bun. He is a hamburger aficionado and this ranked up there as one of his top burgers ever. I ordered the Caesar Salad...authentic and made perfect added a skirt steak, that was cooked to perfection! We shared a aide of sweet potato fries. They were not too sweet like many often are and are handcut. Even my husband enjoyed them and he is usually not a fan. We had a couple of drinks and they were on point. It's not a super fancy inside- don't let that throw you off. The food is really top notch. Our server was friendly helpful and easily earned his 20%. This is also a part of the hotel Juniper and we took a walk and decided to add it to our list if should try places. Updated Art Nuvou feel...hip and classy. We will be back. Thank you Open Table Diners...this recommendation panned out quite nicely.
USED TO BE OUR TURN TO RESTAURANT
Something happened to Park Place about a year ago and it has been on a slow decline since. The menu, which had been generous in its' offerings is down to 6 or 7 dinner entrees, the wine pours by the glass are probably the smallest we have seen at a restaurant and service is really hit and miss. We have sat for extended periods of time after being seated before anyone asks if we would like a drink, we have also waited up to an hour for our dinner to be served. Although this past Friday the noise level was tolerable, not many people, it has gotten really bad at times and you can't even have a conversation with someone sitting across the table. The service is really hit and miss, sometimes too few servers for the number of diners. The prices of the food are ok, the portion size is ok and the food is tasty. We were offered no chef's specials when we were there this past Friday, maybe they don't have them anymore. They had a pork chop to die for, no longer on the menu.
Excellent Hotel Restaurant in Cupertino
Recently celebrated a birthday with eight people for lunch. The food and service were outstanding. Portions were large and well presented. Prices were reasonable. Kenny and his servers went out of their way to make our celebration a success.
Food was not cooked as ordered, and was cold
I had a business breakfast at Park Place due to its location and accessability. The eggs and toast were cool, not hot, and were not cooked as ordered.
Happened on this one Friday night and was pleasantly surprised. I had the steak and wife had the snapper; both were delicious and well prepared. Ambiance was nice and large bar area would be good for drinks. Will go again.
Great place for meeting
My husband and I love this place. We stayed at their new hotel also. Quite location and service is good. This is definitely our hot spot.
fresh and seasonal prepared beautifully!
we thoroughly enjoyed the Park Place burger which was decadent and the ling cod fish special which was light and delicious.

This is a restaurant attached to a hotel. There is a decent ambiance and good service, but the food is nothing more than an extended bar menu.
Used to be good
Not sure what happened to this place, but the food is mediocre and the service is dismal.
No Mic D's for me
Great place with quality food for a quick dinner when too busy to cook. This is my fast food restaurant and I love it. Chef RJ
I don't like making a reservation then having to wait in line, never a case with Park Place. Always friendly service and the dishes are great. The Mushroom Wellington is fantastic. I also recommend the Salmon Chowder with an order of Truffle Fries. Chef RJ
Food okay but service spotty
The food was fine, the facilities okay but the service levels were inconsistent. Was there with a party of four for brunch on a Saturday. Only one other table. Couldn't get requests for coffee refill or water even when asking multiple times. Waitress was pleasant and nice but couldn't remember requests.
Has gotten worse.
Dried out omelette, slimy potatoes (no idea how they achieved that), and had to ask repeatedly for condiments. Absolutely gross breakfast. My husband's burger was good though the fries were over salted heavily.
My favorite restaurant
Food so delious and portion just right, our family like to eat here and service is good.
Park Place is truly a neighborhood gem surrounded by fast food dives. Great for a cocktail and and small plate serving or I recommend the Mushroom Wellington for dinner. Chef RJ
Okay but not great
The food was okay to good but, for those prices, I would expect better. I think nearby Cafe Torre is much better value for money
A glorified hotel bar...
What you wouldn't know by the website or menu is that this restaurant is really just a hotel bar. You literally go inside a hotel and sit in the bar and order food, which isn't what I was expecting at all. We tried a few appetizers and entrees and nothing really stood out. The burger with truffle fries sounded great on the menu, but ended up being really bland. Same with the short ribs, which were too tough. The prices are too high for the quality here. The service was decent.
Very attentive staff!
We've eaten here a number of times. The food is very good but our server is always great! He goes to great lengths to make sure that my wife's orders are gluten-free. The bar scene is moderately busy but can get loud during sports on the tv. All in all, we like the place. Parking can be a challenge if there's a party or something like that going on but they do have a multilevel parking structure so usually not a problem.
Basic hotel restaurant...
There are plenty of much nicer options a few minutes drive from there. The food wasn't super fresh and while eatable it was plain and basic. Nothing special, not worth a detour, so unless you're right next to it or everything else within 2-3 miles is fully booked I wouldn't recommend it.
Nice local, always great dishes and easy parking. We eat here when we're busy and don't have time to cook. I recommend the Crab Chowder and salads. ChefRJ
Sleepy Hotel Restaurant with Okay Food
Most of the time, Park Place has 1000+ point tables so that's really the only draw to eating here. Their food is fine, nothing to complain but also nothing to report. Service runs slow and apathetic even if it isn't busy.
We did not know that this was going tobe a buffet for $40.00 per person! We could not order off the menu and were seated in a convention room. I thought we would be in a restaurant. There were 2 seoarate rooms. They did not let us know there was food in the 2nd room.
Easter Brunch - not worth the $
Although Park Place is close (walking distance) to our home, this was the first time we've eaten there. Previously, we've dropped in for drinks at the bar. My wife wanted to celebrate Easter brunch and thought we were having a full-service meal when we booked our reservations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a buffet brunch, and given that most restaurants were booked, we decided to stay upon finding out. The food was typical of a buffet; eggs, bacon, desserts, omelets, etc., in chaffing dishes along with pancakes, waffles, roast beef and ham being served/prepared. Nothing extraordinary, such as shrimp, smoke salmon, fresh fruit, or anything exotic. A typical buffet. Given the $40 per person price tag, one would have thought at least the mimosa would be complementary. They turned out to be $10 each or unlimited for $20. We were overall disappointed with our experience and most likely we'll only return for drinks and appetizers.

There were not enough servers, we had the bartender as ours. It took over an our to get out meal, a Park Place burger, mac and cheese and a salad. the bartender was very polite but way overloaded. If this situation is not corrected I believe they will start to drop customers, which would be unfortunate since we really like eating here.
Party of 6 had dinner. All dishes were very good. Flatbread, skirt steak, short ribs entrée and short ribs appetizer, calamari, and burger. Desserts were delicious - blood orange sorbet, molten chocolate cake and bread pudding. Asked to change seating to a round table versus high rectangular table. Very good service.
The dining area has once again been re-configured. What used to be a fun large bar area wrapping around to a beautiful formal dining room with a wall of banquette table areas has now been chopped up to make a private party room with a few dining tables at the end of a new bar area. It feels like you are eating in a coffee shop of a hotel. I always loved having a fancy hotel in Cupertino with an impressive and convenient place for brunch and dinners. It is still convenient but not impressive or special.
Great for early dinner
We had a very delicious dinner in a relax surrounding. My sword fish was cook at the right temperature and tasty. My husband had the house bunger. He enjoyed it. My granddaughter love her fries. Our server was kid- friendly , helpful and attentive. We all enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. We shall be back soon.
