Pacific Grill Ratings and Reviews
Great food but very noisy
If you want a romantic date with quiet conversation, go elsewhere. I don't like to raise my voice so I felt like I had to yell at times to be heard across the table. Other than the very loud environment, the food was delicious and the pace of service was pleasantly slow. Except for the excessive noise, I really enjoyed the nearly two hours we spent in conversation over dinner. The service was wonderful. Every time I emptied my water glass it was refilled promptly and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating to requests to modify the menu items.

We went there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we not disappointed. We were a little early so we had a drink in the bar. It was a fun and entertaining time. We were then seated at a cozy table. I had the Filet Mignon and it was delicious. My husband had clam linguini and he absolutely loved it. We the shared the Blondie Sunday it was heaven. Wait staff was great and made perfect recommendations. We will be coming back!

This was our first time at the Pacific Grill. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. The food was amazing. There were so many wonderful options on the menu that we have decided we needed to return to sample more. I would highly recommend this location
Amazing Food and Service
The food at Pacific Grill was amazing and the server was very helpful with the menus and tended the table in a very timely manner. I hope to go back soon and enjoy another great meal.

We had the Waddell omelet and the croque omelet. Both were fantastic. Great flavors.
LIved up to its reputation
Food was delicious, but didn’t quite leave me with a feeling that I absolutely had to come back just for the food. That being said, the presentation was great, and Service was outstanding. The restaurant has great ambiance. Drink choices were limited. The overall prices are definitely on the higher end. Not a place for weekly visits unless you have the budget.
Food was good. Some items better than others but the wait staff (especially our waiter) were wonderful.
Please return to your former greatness
We first came here when my daughter started at UPS in September. The experience was wonderful. We came back for Parents weekend this last week and it was a very different experience. The oysters on the half shell were not as fresh. They tasted like they had come from a long way away rather than local. I had high expectations based on our previous experience. The entrees were ok but nothing great. The biggest let down was the service. It was very, very, very slow and poor. Sometimes the kitchen gets slow during busy times which we understand. But to have to wait and ask for some water is not acceptable. Please get it together so we can enjoy it again.
Very good, not extraordinary.
Service was good, the place was packed and loud, and we enjoyed our meal. I had the seared tuna, which was delicious, served with very rich squares of polenta. My son had the braised short ribs, which he enjoyed. Both of us felt that the recipes were just a tad over the top, a bit too rich.
Our eggs were super undercooked we let the chef know. We will go back, but I'd ask for a firmer cook for the 20.00 eggs bendict

Good food and attentive service. Did happy hour menu and we filled ourselves up nicely for a bargain. I'd definitely go again.
Not so good.
Our waiter kept telling us we couldn't substitute anything. I wanted the market salad without dressing (just olive oil on the side) and he said it wasn't possible as they don't do substitutions. It was just weird. The food was okay, but way too expensive for the value. I'd inly recommend the happy hour at this restaurant.
Great Place for celebration
This was the third year in a row that I have taken my high school culinary arts students to the Pacific Grill the night before they complete in the SkillsUSA statewide culinary and baking competition. It is a great experience for them (and for me!). The food is terrific (the duck gave one of my kids a near religious experience!), the service outstanding. This year we even got to meet the chef and get a tour of the kitchen - a great thrill for my budding culinarians who all have visions of going on the culinary school . Not cheap (this is my treat to them) but well worth it all.
We went here for my husband's birthday. Dinner andservicewas good.
Stick with Happy Hour
We went here for our 25th anniversary after reading an article that raved about the food. My husband's an ex fine dining GM so he's a tough customer. The bar was hopping and LOUD due to the 1/2 price happy hour. The nice booths face the bar so that's what you are looking at and hearing as you dine. Our server was really attentive and nice. I had the halibut and hubby had a wedge salad and bbq pork. Overall food was okay - halibut was very spicy & overpowering and other than that, nothing to write home about. Everyone else had the right idea to come in for the bar happy hour. We received a happy birthday card for our anniversary on our way out - strange but true.
Ahi tuna dish prepared excellently with nice presentation but seasoning was #4 hot for a even a Thai restaurant. Probably too much pepper. One diner traded wit another and the other sent it back. Nothing mentioned in menu about being seasoned very hot. Linguini & clams best by far I have ever had crab cous cous also excellent. This was third visit and this does not diminish our appreciation of this Tacoma Best restaurants!
Great small plates location
The atmosphere was very pleasant and warm. Our party of three sat in a booth, that afforded us the privacy we desired. The wait staff were all accommodating, ready to serve us and attentive to our needs. Overall, a very nice evening.
PAC Grill Tacoma
The Pac Grill in Tacoma was good, but the prices where a little high. Three deviled eggs for almost $8. Don't get me wrong the where good but not $8 good. Over all good place to eat and great staff.
Excellent food and service.
Excellent food and service.
I Didn't Go There For Cauliflower On Toast
I had two orders of the Pacific Grill's version of lox - steelhead on crackers with a little cream cheese and a ton of capers to start off with and then had an order of the cauliflower, melted tomatoes, and Jarlsburg cheese on toast. The only change I would suggest is thicker toast with butter. I was off steak for the night, but next time with the same appetizer of course, I'll have fillet mignon AND the cauliflower on toast. Excellent!!!!

Excellent first crack at 'Boozy Brunch'. Toast was a little singed and waitstaff took a little too long to check on us at the end but overall a wonderful meal and a good time. 'Hot Mess' was a great dish. Will definitely be back again!
Brunch is back!
Miss Smoke and Cedar's brunch? It's back and moved to Pacific Grill! There are new things too, like Tempura Bacon and Crab Eggs Benedict. Love the bloody mary's perfect balance of flavors. Make sure to get reservations and leave enough time for finding parking.

Wonderful food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere! It was our first time going there and we will DEFINITELY be back! They even gave us a gift certificate for a free dessert next time we come (since we went for our anniversary today!) and they gave us a card wishing us congrats on 3 years as well as candles in our dessert! Overall just a wonderful place to go for a nicer dinner and to celebrate something special!

Upscale Eatery in Downtown Tacoma
My theater group of six were welcomed on a busy Sunday night thanks to our Open Table reservation. The wait staff was very attentive, answering questions on the menu items, and keeping beverage glasses filled. I enjoyed the chilled wedge salad, conveniently chopped to facilitate my devouring of it. The entrée options made me want to sample everything so I know that I will have to return soon. I settled on the spare ribs which melted in my mouth. My companions raved about the clams, shrimp, and steak. The valet parking was very helpful on a cold and wet night. I highly recommend the Pacific Grill for any occasion.

Limited menu options. Special of Lobster Toast was disappointing. Dessert was very good. Glass of wine was only half full for $9.00.
One of my favorites!
Another exceptional experience at Pacific Grill! The cocktails were delicious, the food to die for, and just enough dessert to wrap the evening in a sweet bow. I always try a unique cocktail while my husband sticks to beer. The seafood appetizer was delicious with spicy, spicy sauce. The beef ribs were very tender and rich, but the grilled steelhead was perfection. The fish was seasoned lightly and not overcooked. It melted in my mouth! The service was great on the Sunday night we visited. This is my go to place for special nights out and they are very busy on Friday and Satuday, so the service can be a bit slow. Just go with it - enjoy the food and conversation and relax.
Sometimes you are looking to eat and sometimes you are looking to dine. PAC GRILL is a dining experience, wonderful food, a few more dairy free options would be lovely. Thank you.
This is a great place for the bar menu. We got a reservation through open table, but it did not allow us to get into the bar seating. The dinner was nice, but pricey.

We come every year for dinner on a business trip. The food is always great! One of our steaks was overlooked and it was taken care of in 5 minutes. Will come back next year!
Amazing!! Excellent food, and great atmosphere.
Our family would love to recommend this amazing restaurant to all. The service first of all from our waiter was dynamite. He was so attentive and caring about our night being special. Even took a picture our group of 4 :) The food was serious some of the best we have ever had. We had lamb, tuna and so on.. Even the oyster shooters . The wait was not long at all, the lights and atmosphere were relaxing and comfortable and quiet. And the whole evening was beyond satisfying. Thanks again Pacific Grill :)
My guest and I each had one of the two califlower offerings. Neither looked stellar in presentation. Mine was just okay and am glad to have ordered the (not) soaked tomato version. Almost everything I've had at the grill had been a more satisfying bite.
Celebrating my husbands birthday
The restaurant was pleasant. The service was great. The time it took to get our meals was way to long and the dessert menu was amazing, it would have been nice if they had more than half of the desserts available.
The food was expensive and bland. Disappointed.
We don't mind spending a pretty penny on an amazing meal now and then. We left our pretty penny at Pacific Grill, but the food wasn't anything special. None of the food was seasoned and everything tasted very bland. Service was top notch and drinks were tasty.
Above all the resturant was great.
As I mentioned above, the restaurant was great, but the prices where a bit much. would I go again? yes, but it won't be for a long time. it's not something I would want to spend $145.00 every time I went, and spend $9.00 on a mix drink. last time I spend that much on a drink was in Tokyo Japan. Maybe if the prices where to come down some. I would eat there more off than. Above all great place to eat and I would recommend to friends to eat there if they are welling to spend more than $100.00 for two, and leave the kids at home. Mr. Colunga
