Every dish that I tasted was excellent. From the mussels to the fresh monk fish. But the show stopper was the tuna sashimi with cold noodles and pickled cucumbers. OMG....OUT OF THIS WORLD, DELICIOUS. Not one negative thing to say about this dining experience.

Such unpretentious EXCELLENCE. From the warm welcome of their host, to the proficiently seamless flow of service, to the all enticing menu, to every sublime bite of food...Ocean Blvd is a 5 star establishment. The ambiance is thoughtful and inviting, with the choice of music (and level played) a perfect complement; which sets the stage for the true star - the FOOD! We were enticed by every single item on the menu as they're beautifully worded to whet the appetite. Let us be clear though, the food more than delivers on its descriptive promise! We had the two soups: wild mushroom and the shrimp bisque both developed with rich layers from the essence and spot on seasoning. The 'duck' main was (as my Mom stated at first bite), "The Bomb!" Because we couldn't decide, we chose to make a meal of starters including: Tuna sashimi (so pleasant to the eye), Shrimp w/ handmade pasta (and a fragrant sauce) and the fresh Lamb & vegetable skewers. Great attention to detail and a development of flavor that rang true to the last bite. MAJOR KUDOS to the chef and sous!!! An INCREDIBLE FIND for our family as we enjoy culinary ventures wherever we go. Sincere thanks to the Ocean Blvd Bistro & Martini Bar team for a wonderful experience.
Amazing food We always make it a point to have dinner here. Wonderful menu with always great specials from local fresh caught seafood to pasta the wine list is great and they always have what is on their list.
First time on Outer Banks
Spent a week in mid-April on the Outer Banks. Tried the Bistro early in our visit and nothing else measured up to their standard. Food, drinks, service- all above par. Hope to return to this find restaurant again.
Very dissapointing experience
This restaurant was highly recommended by several people. Needless to say we were very disappointed. The pork medallions were more like boneless pork chops with very little flavor, and the chicken entrée could be beat for taste by my local grocery store with a rotisserie chicken. Some of the vegetables served were unidentifiable.... I had to goggle them to discover what they were, green odd shaped things that were pretty tasteless. I was hoping to have a view of the ocean as it was on Ocean Blvd. That was on my ignorance of the area. Server was not very attentive and we could hear the chef constantly asking were he was for serving meals. Our meal was actually served by another server. My arm would have to be twisted to even think of going back.
Most Innovative Restaurant In the OBX
When I'm in the OBX for business, I always go to Ocean Boulevard. As always, they over delivered. Dennis and Donnie were as gracious hosts as always. The "small taste" menu is great. The wine list is good. Don't miss it

Mushroom soup was fantastic, something special !!! something to crave for !!! (Dinner 3/16/16)
This was one of many visits to Ocean Boulevard. My wife and I try to go there at least once during every visit to the Outer Banks. Their food, as always, was outstanding. I had the yellowfin Tuna special which was superb, served with mussels, shrimp and grits. My wife had pasta loaded with so much shrimp, she almost could not finish each shrimp provided. Service was great, as always. This restaurant just keeps getting better with time.
Long Time customer
I have been coming to OB pretty much since they opened and love the atmosphere, service and food! I think it will always be one of my OBX faves.
Excellent food and service.
Excellent food and service.
A favorite of ours while at the Outer Banks, as the service is always top notch and the food never disappoints. For Valentine’s Day dinner they offered a Prix Fixe menu and that was a slight disappointment. We always love their regular menu and would prefer a better selection then just the chef’s choices for that evening. Overall, the martini bar is the best in the Outer Banks and we will be back, but only if the regular menu is available.
The Valentines Day special menu was just right as well as the wine pairings. The choices met both our tastes in all the courses and was delicious
best food on the beach! chefs are so creative, lots of seafood options, homemade bread and desserts are to die for!
Disappointed with this experience
This was the 4th year our group of friends have dined at Ocean Blvd for Valentine weekend. The food was a disappointment this year. One friend ordered steak Medium rare and was served medium well, he returned it and then it came back undercooked, almost rare, on the second try. He was too hungry to send that one back. His wife's meal was "given to someone else" as our waitress so eloquently stated, and she had to choose another item causing another 20 minute delay in her meal. They should have been compensated in some way since both errors happened to the one couple. We were told we could order from the specials menu for Valentine's day as "a la carte" since I didn't want all four courses for $60. I was served 4 scallops and charged $32.00. Considering I can buy 1 lb of scallops for $20 or less, I was not impressed. So for $32 I had 4 scallops and water. I went home hungry. Another friend stated his chicken was greasy and overcooked and was disappointed in his meal this year as well. Not sure we will return again next year. Overall, not worth the $$$. Past experiences were so much better. It may have just been an off night for the cooking staff. But the the others issues are not forgiven so easily. We may give them another chance but not anytime soon.

Ocean Boulevard is one of the best in the world and I can say this because we have experienced fine dining globally. You don't get any better than OB. Everything is served to perfection, and the staff who have been there for years are the most professional and knowledgable servers you will find. Can't wait to go back. It can't come soon enough.
Great Place to Celebrate!
Our family celebrates our special occasions at Ocean Blvd because the chef is willing to prepare a special vegan plate for several in our group. The wait staff is very helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Its always a treat to eat there!

Night in the Outer Banks
Looking for a place that wasn't closed for the season for a nice dinner seemed to be quite a chore. However landed upon this place on Opentable, and noted good reviews. Those were not misleading. There was a warm welcome when we walked in the door. Our waiter was very attentive but not overbearing. Due to some dietary restrictions, asked about a mild change to the daily special and this was not a problem at all! Food was very well done and prepared. Wine list had several choices. It was a nice place, I can only imagine how much nicer it is during the summer. Highly recommend.

A New Obx Favorite
After visiting the Outer Banks for 15 years, mainly staying on the southern end, I had neglected Ocean Blvd. My mistake. Service was the best, and the good was delicious. I call places like this "oh, my goodness!" restaurants, since that's the unsaid thought after every bite. Our beverage server refused to let my water glass rest empty, which i really appreciate. At many places I have to conserve water to make it last. Ocean Blvd is one of very few OBX restaurants that offer their quality of food and service. We made the immediate decision to bring our foodie, wine-loving adult children here this summer on our next trip.
Happy New Year!
Enjoyed New Year's Eve dinner with two other couples. Neither couples had been to OB before. We had no concerns about their level of satisfaction. We have enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here as well over the last few years. Great for special occasions!

Great spot. Good food and service was just right. We cN always count on having a perfect evening at Ocean Boulevard.
Another great dinner and experience
The service was professional, friendly and timely. Ice cold drinks that were well prepared. Our four meals were delicious to eat and look at. The men always order and are never disappointed by the simple roasted chicken.

Pork Cheeks & Polenta appetizer was rich and yummy! Flounder special and Lamb Chops were fairly amazing. Warm friendly atmosphere. Has become one of our go-to restaurants at the Outer Banks. A little pricey, but worth the treat. Lower prices would get us visiting regularly.
We've been going to OB for more years than I can count and each and every time the food and service have been flawless. This visit was no different. Consistency is always the case. The staff is attentive and personable with many of then having been there for years which tells you how good it is.
Our go to spot!
We have going to Ocean Boulevard for 20 years. It is our spot for special occasions and family visits. We have never had a bad meal or poor service. This last visit was for our 30th anniversary. Unfortunately for my wife a stomach virus got the better of her and we had to cut our visit short. They staff took care of boxing our dinners up and included a complimentary dessert for us to celebrate with when she felt better.

Delicious and lovely as always ! Thank you for a wonderful evening with my entire family! The white Bordeaux was excellent!
Pleasant dining experience
Had an early dinner off season. Waitstaff very accommodating. Food was prepared well but was missing something. Appetizers, salads and bread were terrific. Main dishes not so much. Maybe an off night, Would still recommend though.
Went here on a Tuesday evening off-season and everything about our experience was superb! Our appetizers and entrees were delicious......service was attentive but not rushed.....and the restaurant noise level was quiet except for the people talking loudly at the bar. Definitely a "must" if you like gourmet food with a southern bent!
OB has been our favorite OBX restaurant for fine dining for over 10 years and it never disappoints.

We really enjoyed the OB Bistro! Great cooking with a Southern flare. Catfish was one of the best! We'll be back.
We live in the Outer Banks but had never been before. We decided to check it out for a birthday celebration. Everything was excellent from the greeting at the door, the waiter and his suggestions, and the food was some of the best we have had on the Outer Banks. Would definitely recommend it and will be going back!

Great food! One of our go-to spots at the Outer Banks. We really like OBB in the off season.
Small Plates with Big Taste
Located in the OBX, Ocean Blvd is a can"t miss. The food is original and the bar scene is that of the big city Martini Bar. On this night, I had the "small plates". The meatloaf dish and grilled steak dish were tremendous. The wines by the glass aren't as varied as by the bottle, but the Reds, namely the Malbec and Zinfindel, were perfect with each of the dishes. If you want superb service, sit at the bar and have Denise wait on you.

Absolutely our favorite restaurant in OBX. Food is consistently fresh and unique! Traditionally terrific service and always an enjoyable evening out. If your only going out once while you visit go here!!!!
Our third time there. Won't be our last
This year we celebrated our 14th year together. It was just the place for the event. Great food and excellent wine (we're fans of Chateau Neuf de Pape and they had a great bottle). The service was first class.
Wonderful dining experience
We love Ocean Boulevard and make it a point to come whenever we are in OBX. We were staying in Manteo, but it was worth the half hour drive for the spectacular food and service! Ocean Boulevard catered our wedding last year and we came back for our one year anniversary. Annette, the head of catering, called to personally confirm our reservation and wish us a happy anniversary! I know she had a wedding that day and has catered a ton of weddings, so it was very thoughtful of her to remember. She even had the waitress tell us hi and bring us a dessert on the house. We were lucky enough to have a gift certificate for dinner, but we would happily pay full price to eat here and will be coming back in the future! As for the food, we split a new appetizer - the breaded mozzarella with rosemary. It is basically a fancy version of a mozzarella stick, but in a ball and so better(and not greasy, like the typical version). My husband had the salmon, which he claims is the best salmon he has ever had. I had the fall risotto, which was cooked perfectly with yummy fall vegetables and cooked lemon rind, which balanced out the savoriness of the risotto. As for dessert, we had the chocolate cake, which was a perfect ending to our delicious meal!
We have been here many times (on and off season)..
Food is ALWAYS very good! When full, tables are a bit too close together. I don't like hearing my neighbors' conversations. Only disappointment this time was that we asked for a wine with a low (12%) alcohol content. (red or white). This seemed to be a waste of time for the wait staff. It would be helpful to keep a data base list of your wines, including their alcohol %, so a quick field search on computer would find what we were asking for. Although it seemed meaningless to the waitress and waiter, it was important to us as diners to enhance our meal comfortably. I was disappointed that they couldn't take a few minutes to find us an appropriate bottle of 12% wine to enjoy with our otherwise very delicious meal.
Excellent seafood, without being pretentious.
Excellent seafood at the shore, without being pretentious. No need to dress up. Save room for dessert.
