Absolutely delicious and prepared with care. We all ordered the fixed price restaurant week menu and it was top notch. The chef is wonderful. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. Very reasonably-priced for the quality of food.

I was so disappointed with the lack of service and food at Mussel Bar. I had heard great reviews from personal friends, so I convinced a friend of mine to try it out. The host seemed nice and tried to make small talk. Our waiter Henry was just ok or less then. We don't drink so we asked for water, he brought our room temperature water in half filled glasses. I asked for ice, he brought a cup full of ice and sat it on the table. I really wanted to get mussels but every ordered of mussels that passed by smelled really fishy so I opted for the tuna. The tuna was the most flavorless tuna I have had. My friend ordered the salmon, the piece of salmon was tiny. We did order dessert was the chocolate mouse tart which was so hard to cut, it seemed like we needed a chain saw to cut the crust. The icing on the cake was when my friend was still eating the dessert, and the server, not Henry just took her plate and she said she was NOT finished. The whole evening turned out to be less than optimal.

Great food and service in a convenient location with parking next door. Portions were good size. We ordered several kinds of mussels, oysters on half shell, and linguine with claims. Mussels and oysters were tasty. The claims were a bit chewy.

All in all - enjoyable and food was delish. Started off rocky, however, when host informed us upon arrival that we would have to be out in less than an hour - due to a party that bought out the entire restaurant. (We were a party of 5 and did have a reservation.) The manager had to intervene and assured us we could finish our dinner w/o rushing. Food (mainly oysters and mussels) was outstanding. Beer and wine selection was good. Service,although good, was bit chaotic - we had multiple people taking our orders. The noise level was extremely high. The chaos was probably due to the upcoming party. Not exactly the most relaxing diner, but I intend to return - perhaps at an earlier time.

We were in town for business and we chose Mussels based on location, menu and reviews. It did not disappoint! We shared the Provençal Mussels, truffle fries and the lamb merguez flatbread. All were delicious! Food was delivered quickly and nicely presented. If there was a drawback, the service was too attentive, trying to clear the table quickly. The manager stopped by as soon as we were seated and stopped to check on us during our meal. Well worth a visit, we will be back again!

This was our second visit to this restaurant. We had a very good experience the first time, having sat at the bar for a late weeknight meal. Our bartender/server was very attentive, informative and engaging. It was quite busy/crowded that first evening we tried Mussel Bar & Grill. Our most recent experience on a Saturday night was quite the opposite, including less diners and bar patrons. We were barely acknowledged after taking seats at the bar, intending to have a cocktail and oysters before dinner with our son who was visiting from Chicago. The “bartender” and a manager (perhaps) appeared to not want to turn their heads toward a customer. We went back to hostess stand to ask for a table, which happened immediately. While service was slow, the food was good and at proper temperature- we all received appetizers and meals as ordered. There was a mistake with two of our cocktails, but given the unengaged, lackadaisical bartender, we were not surprised. Overall, I’d say if you’re wanting to dine there - try a week night experience. Its much better than one you’ll have on a weekend.

Host didn’t have our reservation. Took a long time for the server to show up. Took forget to get our drinks. Check was wrong and had to be sent back. I’ve had better experiences there. Must have been an off day.
