Mulino's Ratings and Reviews
Great location for business meals
I have had the pleasure of having met coworkers and others for several meals at Mulino's (both for lunch and for dinner). Every time I have been, my opinion has been solidified that this is, in fact, one of the premier restaurants in Westchester County. Everything is fresh and full of flavor; always well prepared and presented.
Great Food and even Better Service!
We found this place through Trip Advisor and it had great reviews. They surpassed all our expectations. Carmine may have been the best server I have ever had in 40 years. Thanks for a great experience.
Mulino's is living off of its reputation. The food was just ok and the service was very slow. I would not go back.
Not the cheapest, but the food is absolutely delicious .
The service and food are fine but not worth the expensive cost of the specials and fish entrees. Drinks were also overpriced for what you get.
this is a place that you keep coming back to ,the food is great as well as the service. Give it a try and you will be back. they also have valet parking
Great service with Jimmy leading the helm. We missed Marchelo the bartender because he was on vacation so we'll have to catch up with him next time.
Food wasn't as good as in the past
I've been here many times and always enjoyed everything that was served. This time was a disappointment. Both the appetizer (tortellini) and the main course (veal) were pretty tasteless. I wanted to order the veal chop (for which they are famous) but they told me they were sold out (at 6:00pm ???). Sorry, next time I want to celebrate I'm going somewhere else.
Very nice restaurant and waitstaff.
The food was very good and presented nicely. The U5 shrimp cocktail was really outstanding...

Had a beautiful grotto view table. Jimmy and Carmine made sure we were well cared for in a fabulous old school manner. Food was very good. We highly recommend Mulinos!

As objective as possible, the place is not what we expected. Regardless of the fact that we booked the reservation through Opentable and when we arrived we were informed that they have never been part of the restaurant week (this was said by the Manager), the food was not good. They brought an appetizer, on the house, that was colds and it should have been warm; the "funghi con scamorza" was very oily, it tasted more like a french toast with mushrooms and a lot of oil. The only eatable dish was the the "linguini nere" which was OK but not a dish that we would have said "very good". On top of this was the attitude of the Manager on the issue of the reservation so it made the whole experience not worth considering going back there. We read other reviews and they had a good experience but not us. unfortunate!
Once again, I had a great meal and experience at Mulino's. The food has always been very good and the service and general experience were exceptional. Will certainly go back.
Noisy, slow service
Disappointed with $150 for three for lunch. Restau half empty but all diners crammed in small space so very noisy. Disappointed.
Found this Gem on Open Table.
very nice restaurant. Great ambience. Service was impeccable. Very attentive. Professional. Food was very good. Wine list was excellent as well. Will definitely be back.
Terrific dinner at Mulino's
My wife, daughter and I had dinner at Mulino's on Feb. 5- great experience. The restaurant has valet parking- and a small lot directly across the street. There is a small bar with a good wine list and a few martinis. The place had a good crowd- but not noisy. There is a large aquarium- type area adjacent to the dining room- very calming / scenic- and different. The service was superb and the food terrific- Dover Sole, a chicken dish- and my lobster over pasta was the Best that I ever had. Chianti and Barolo wines were very good. It's pricey, but top notch for that special occasion or a super Sat. night for 2.
Mulino's Hits the Mark...again
I have for a number of years now used Mulino's as my "go to" restaurant for special occasions. Most recently there was a birthday celebration in the family. It was a simple table for four. The service was flawless the food as I have come to expect was was excellent (no surprise). What sets Mulino's apart from other high end dinning establishments in Westchester is simply the the staff lets you enjoy your meal. You are never rushed from course to course the staff is attentive but never overbearing. They want you to enjoy the evening as much as you yourself want to enjoy it. Dinner at Mulino's is not just dinner it is an evening out, and when your with good friends celebrating something going to Mulino's only makes it better...Thanks again
A special place
It hard to find a nice, quiet restaurant these days, especially on a Saturday night. Mulino's is the perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner for two. The food was outstanding and so was the service.

We visit Mulinos a few times a year. The food is always excellent along with great service.
Wonderful dining experience
Our party of four recently dined at Mulino's on an early Sunday night. The staff was very attentive to our needs and we never felt rushed. All the dishes were delicious and I know because we tasted each other's dishes. We shared an appetizer which was plenty for four people. The cannoli was to die for. We'll definitely be back. PS some members of my family were there for Thanksgiving and said it was wonderful.

The staff is very attentive and the owner Jimmy is floating aroung the place making sure everything goes smoothly. Pretty waterfall outside the main window. Food was all delish.
Dining at Mulino's Westchester
Dining at Mulino's in Westchester is without a doubt "old world". As you walk down the stairs to the entrance, you hear the "tickling of piano keys" playing old standards. There is a wonderful bar on the left stocked wth anything you can think of. The restaurant is low lighting, you can call "romantic", an upscale clientel, and a 2 tier dining room. The lower level has a large glass window behind which is a beautiful landscaped garden and waterfall. The food is always consistent with specials every night. The service is crisp and attentive, but not rushed. The waiters always seem to know when you want something. Truly dining, not eating.
Worst Meal EVER
First time at Mulino's has great reputation but,,,,,,,,we ordered a César Salad, that we couldn't eat as it had too much garlic,,,,,,waiter forgot to order our other appetizer and when we got our main dish he wanted to know if we still wanted it,,,,,,,,my food was inedible,,,,, I ordered the Chicken Scarpariello, my favorite dish,,,,,,the chicken looked boiled and it had so much hot sauce that I couldn't eat it,,,,,,it was like a bottle of hot sauce was poured down my throat. I ordered the Spiedino ala Romana, and I received a big triangle overcooked with cornmeal and green and black olives, no trace of anchovies sauce which is characteristic of Spiedino,,,,,,Cappuccino was cold, and the waiter disappeared,,,,,,,,worst meal I had in years,,,, would not go back nor recommend to anyone,,,,,,,,,
Great Traditional Cooking
Mulino's has been a landmark in White Plains for decades. It serves great traditional Italian dishes in an upscale setting. Service is very professional. The setting is very nice. They put out great treats before the meal including fabulous Parmesan cheese. Unfortunately, this past time (for the first time) there were two large family parties sitting near us and they were very loud.
Very cool decor and ambiance.
Very cool decor and ambiance. Nice wine list. Superb cheesecake.
My sister and I came in for an early dinner. We were seated at a table next to a window, which was light enough until the sun went down. She had light behind her. I was in the dark. Even lifting the candle on the table to the menu, it was impossible to read. I should have asked to be moved to another table, but after our drinks and the menus were delivered, we didn't see a waiter for half an hour. So we stayed where we were, ordered a main dish from the specials, and left. I really think this was out of character for the restaurant, but even so, I'll wait a while before considering a return visit.

1st Class dining experience
Wait staff provided excellent service. Each course, food cooked to perfection as requested, and brought to our table with nice spacing in between each course. Great ambience and atmosphere added to the overall dining pleasure. Kudos also to Valet staff on a night of heavy rain escorting guests into restaurant entrance. Host was welcoming and understanding as we were a bit late due to weather. Will go back again soon.
Best in the area
I went to Molino's for my birthday and the service and atmosphere was excellent. Jimmy served our table and spared no effort to insure the highest level of comfort. The food was superb and other wait staff and managers came by the table to say hello and make sure we were comfortable. I have never been disappointed dining at Mulino's for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend it to friends and would return "in a heartbeat".
Not the first time here and always good food, service and ambience. Wait staff is always helpful and patient in describing specials. Its valet parking service make this a go to place.

Mulino's Could Be So Much Better
Our dining experience at Mulino's was rather odd. The food was very good, albeit expensive. However, the service was overly attentive, even smothering. I tend to think that, when dining at a fine restaurant, the experience should be moderately paced. Instead, at least a half-dozen different servers surrounded us at one point or another. Furthermore, it was never clear who was performing which function, such that we would order a glass of wine from one server, only to be told that another would have to take that order. So I can recommend the restaurant for the food, but be forewarned about the nature of the service -- and the prices.
Mulino's of White Plains
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The wait staff as well as all other restaurant employees were extremely engaged and personable. The food and service was excellent.
A special place
Top-notch Italian restaurant. You go here for a special occasion because it is a little bit pricey the food is fantastic. They start by bringing the Parmesan Wheel they are famous for. The freshest you will taste and carve a few pieces for you. Then came bruschetta. Then string beans and bread. We were stuffed before ordering dinner. I had the pappardelle bolognese. Melt in your mouth pasta with a delicate meat sauce. My husband had red snapper which was fantastic. We were to stuff for dessert. It was a lovely dining experience and I felt that we got a lot of food for the price.
Not what it used to be
Mulino's food used to be at least very good. I hadn't been in 6-7 years and recently went. The ambiance and service are the same, but the food was mediocre at best. My salad with mandarin oranges had the oranges out of the can and a bland dressing. It "made up" for this by a huge portion size, enough for 3. I also had the carbonara which was bland also - at least the pasta was al dente. The famous service borders on obsequious. It was very quiet as it was a Monday night and close to empty. When full it is very noisy. Overall, for the prices charged it is a disappointment and I'll not be back.

This is a great location and one that I highly recommend
So many good extra add ons. Everything great on lunch menu. Nice quiet place to eat. Pricey but worth it.
I found the recent reviews mixed ,but found Mulino's just as special as I remembered from previous visits. Expensive but worth it.
Mulino's is still good.
We went to Mulino's on a Momday night. It was empty. We used to go there about 8 times a year. We stopped because the service fell off. The food was always good and still is. It's pricey so you don't go there all the time. If you want a good Italian meal and don't care about the price, you will be happy.
old world charm
We were well taken care of by the staff. Food was very good and group of five could hear each other talk delightful dining experience.
