The restaurant was cold so we had to eat in our jackets. The food was nothing to rave about. Very disappointing. Never going back.
I have been at Ming II in the past and the food was excellent. I was disappointed in the quality of the dishes we had recently. I find it odd that lobster would be breaded in any dish and it frankly didn't even taste like lobster. On a prior visit I had a really great tuna steak, which unfortunately is no longer on their menu.
Great Asian cuisine
Had a very nice dinner, and this is a perfect place either before or after a movie. Waiters were very attentive.

Fell from the mark
We have been going to Ming II about 6 times per year for quite some time now. The food is very good. This time we experienced a decline in the service and kindness. After checking in, the hostess forgot we were waiting to be seated and continued to help others; these things happen but there was no apology or acknowledgment to us when she realized her mistake. Our waiter was not familiar with the menu and never greeted or looked up at us. The rest of the serving staff was wonderful and helpful. But then with a dessert menu still on the table and the check only paid seconds earlier, a manager asked us to move into the bar as he needed the table. I was truly taken back. I thought he came to see if we enjoyed our dinner. It is one thing to be rushed off after lingering for a lengthy time period, but we had open tables near us and still had food and drink to finish. A dinner experience is more than good food and I hope that the staff of Ming II will learn that people have a choice on where to dine.

Ming II Review
I celebrated my birthday at Ming II. We arrived late due to traffic, the staff was very understanding. Our table was set up right away to be seated. So happen we were the only patrons in the restaurant. We were able to laugh and enjoy ourselves without disturbing others. The appetizers we ordered were delicious, they were spring rolls, spicy chili shrimp and the chicken lollipops. Everyone ordered an variety of entrees and they were all delicious. This will be a staple in book of restaurants. The ambiance has a city vibe for Jersey without having to trek to New York. Also there is a lounge next door with a DJ.
excellent restaurant. the eggplant in sechzuan sauce was terrific, the hot and sour soup was great, and the Chicken Penang curry was excellent. a great meal.
Eclectic pan asian cuisine.
We always love coming here. The food is always tasty and well suited to our taste buds. Those who like it spicier have the option of trying out the table condiments. Presentation is good too and my families all time favorite for appetizers are the drums of heaven!
Outstanding services, great food. Nine of us and we all shared our meals...everything was delicious. Using Open Table worked great and there were no problems, even when we added an extra person.
Ming II is a great place in an odd spot.
Met a friend for dinner here. Got there early and was able to wander around the sprawling complex of "not much really to see". Was greeted warmly by the shared staff that serves Ming II, the Indian restaurant, and the bar next door that share the foyer. The service is great and very friendly. Went there because of the gluten free menu. Dinner was great and was $60 for two, with water with dinner, and a pretty good amount left over to take home. A party of 12 was nearby and it got pretty loud in there, so would probably ask to be around the corner from the big setup next time. They validated parking and it was covered, even though we went elsewhere for a tea and hung out for awhile after dinner. Recommended!
The food and service at Ming II are consistently excellent. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is very professional. Always an enjoyable evening.
A bit pricey, but very good
We really enjoyed our meal. Nice, romantic atmosphere. Prices were a bit high, and I thought rice should be included with the meal rather than a la carte. But, food was wonderful. The Hong Kong chicken was delicious! We will definitely go again. So convenient to be next to the new renovated movie theater!
the service was poor
The service was poor, the communication amongst the staff is poor,I made reservations and asked for simple things and it they told me I should have not called and received online , when I did both. The managers approach on customer service could be a lot better. I do have to say the restaurant is beautiful and great atmosphere just over shadowed by their approach to handling reservations and special request which I am paying for.
Dinner at Ming !!
Very good food; ambiance was great; service was a little bit especially considering that it was Sat night.

Ming II for dinner before a movie
We often go to Mehndi but decided to try Ming II as a change. The food is excellent and the service is as well. The hot and sour soup was the best we have ever had anywhere. Our entrees were excellent and all of the ingredients were very fresh with full flavor. We will go back soon.
Our meal was outstanding. We ordered the chicken with eggplant and jasmine rice for our entree. Great flavor. The service was excellent. We had several appetizers - spareribs, vegetable spring rolls and vegetable fried dumplings. All were amazing. Not your typical Chinese restaurant. I wish they were opened on Sundays.
WE had a group party. the food quality is very good. Enjoyed . Only complaint, is food quantity per plate is less compare to price and other comparable restaurants. Like we ordered Gobhi Manchurian, and it had only 6 pieces for $8. any other restaurant of similar décor and price will have much more. Other dishes were also small. But Quality was good.
Chinese food is very popular in India, and the subcontinent has developed its own style of Chinese cooking. This is reflected at Ming. You will not find your standard American Chinese or Szechuan dishes, but a new experience of Chinese-style dishes cooked in the Indian style. This includes lots of spices and little pots of condiments on the table that will help you add more heat. It's an interesting alternative experience. As at the Mehtani Group's Indian restaurants, this is a fine-dining establishment, with prices to match. I wish the service were as good as the food.
The room was unrelentingly noisy. The hostess brushed it off by saying that that happens on weekends. But the dining room was not even half full when we arrived and it was still impossible to hear each other. The food was adequate and overpriced. I would not return.

This restaurant is one of my family's favorite. We have been here many times and always enjoy the food.
The food and service at this restaurant were good, however the wait for the food to come out of the kitchen was abnormally long. People in my party that had been here before, said every time they come, the food always takes a very long time to come out.
Took staff here for a dinner meeting - both the food and service were excellent. Would come back!
Girls Night Out
Great Friends, Good food, Excellent service - the mood was set for a wonderful evening.
Great Food Not So Great Service
The restaurant had a number of large parties and we were only a party of 4. We had made reservations, I do not know if others had but the waiter was less than attentive. Two in our party had ordered a 2nd or 3rd drink which never arrived. Appetizers came to the table quickly but entrees took nearly an hour.
Uncontrolably noisy guests
There was a bunch of drunken noisy guests that the manager could not control that spoiled an otherwise great mean
The restaurant is really loud, maybe it is the wooden ceiling that has bad accoustics. It also has a weird smell, not sure if it is cilantro or BO. The food was ok and the service was good, overall it was just ok.
Not Your Average Asian
This is New York City restaurant in Morristown.. And that's exactly why I love it. The same food, service, and drinks as being in the city, without having to drive their.
It's nice experience
It's my first visit to the Ming 2 for me. I was quite amaze by the ambiance of the restaurant. Food was a little different than actual Chinese food. I like the taste and service is good than its expected.

The restaurant was so dark we had to read the menus by light of our phones. The food was barely edible and both food and wine overpriced. I can't recommend this place to anyone.
This was about my fifth time to this restaurant. The food has always been excellent! The staff are very warm and friendly. The menu and atmosphere are kind of "exotic" in a very good way. The menu is quite extensive, and includes dishes ranging from mild to hot and spicy. There are a couple of bowls with additional sauces on the side (one of which is very spicy!) so you can "kick it up a notch" on any dish if you would like. The drink selection is very extensive. I found the prices quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food, service and atmosphere. We are never able to finish our meal, and take the rest home for a nice lunch the next day!
When we were there at 7pm it was quiet but I understand after 9:00pm It has a DJ and gets lively
