The food was very good. We asked for a table in a quiet area but they put us in the noisiest location even though there were other tables available. Even the waiter could not hear what we were ordering.
Service was Great!
Our server, Donna, was great! We were celebrating our mother's birthday and Donna was a joy. We all ordered different items for lunch and each one was terrific!
Great place for celebrations.
Enjoy going to the Metro any time. The best place for lunch, looking forward having brunch soon. Like the outdoor area's . Nice there are different outdoor areas, we will wait until warmer weather to enjoy the meal.

Steak was good. Nice IPA beers on tap. Bar is nicely stocked. Would definitely go back!
It was my first time and I loved everything about my experience. The food was great as well as the service we received from Nicole and Laurel. I will be back soon for sure.
Our children took us for a Sunday brunch. We have been there several times and the service was great and the quality of our food was outstanding. Will return again and again.👍👌

It was only for lunch but it was very nice. Service was great. Sat by the fireplace.
It was Easter with many people for brunch. Our service was lacking and the food took forever. However, that is somewhat forgiven due to the day. The food was good once we got it right and we enjoyed our experience overall. We would like to come back and try it again.
Service was the worst ever!
Poor management at this restaurant! Service was the worst ever! Had to wait 20minutes for water! Had to wait for the coffee and hot tea! The food came before the d rinks...will never come back! Step up management please....the food arrived stone COLD.....eggs are NO good COLD......
I have tried to really like this restaurant. The food is good to sometimes just o.k. Service is good. Nice to sit outdoors. But......something just doesn't quite make it a repeat dining venue for me. I have been there half a dozen times over the years. Every time I go I keep hoping it will make me want to return. After a lack luster Easter brunch I have decided I need to find alternative places for brunch.
Metro has become one of our favorites for a family holiday brunch in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Server was inattentive and snippy.
Beside the poor service, which I've never experienced previously at this restaurant, the seafood dishes didn't seem fresh.
Great for Lunch!
Like eating indoors too with floor to ceiling glass overlooking outdoor seating. Nice to have the sun light for lunch. Waiter was very attentive and helped me with my gluten free option in changing up the chicken sandwich so that it can be gluten free. Nice to have free parking in back... Unusual for Lafayette these days.
Very nice brunch
We have brunch here often and love the choices and outdoor dining. Lunch last Thursday was a bit disappointing.
Good burgers and beers
A sume midweek dinner. Nice selection of draft beer.
Went for a lunch with 3 of us. Food was good, reasonable price, waiter was attentive but not intrusive. We lingered long after lunch and they did not bother us to leave.

We love Metro and have been a number of times. Our last visit was not as enjoyable. It was very noisy and our waiter seemed very rushed. The sole was lovely and the chocolate brownie delightful.

Great food and cocktails!
Went here with several friends. The atmosphere is nice and the food and cocktails were great! I did ask if we could be seated close to the fireplace and though there were empty tables there we got seated two tables down from the fire place-didn't push it, but thought that was odd.
I made reservations for Valentine's Day after having read their menu online. It looked good and the Valentine's Prix Fixe menu was what hooked me. I must say, the scallops were exactly what I was hoping for. Delicious! The waiter was engaging, helpful and friendly. Overall, we had a great dinner.
Great except wine selection
Great service, great food. Only change might be some sweet wines, versus all dry. We would come back, but we'll bring our wine~
Valentine's Day at Metro Lafayette
We have been here before for dinner, but this was the first time we came for Valentine's Day. The food as always was very good. The menu had additions for Valentine's, such as a prix-fixe special dinner for $65, which included, for me, Lobster Bisque, very tender scallops, Coriander rubbed frenched lamb chops, with a passion fruit tart for dessert. My wife opted for selections from the regular menu, and had the marrow bones and the pertrale sole, her favorite. We were both very pleased with our selections. We had a reasonably priced Pinot Noir with that. Service was very good also, our waiter, Ryan, is a student at St. Mary's College in Moraga, and was quite charming and friendly in his service. We enjoyed the evening and holiday immensely....
Great place to take a break from a busy day.
This restaurant was a great find. Loved the pleasant ambiance with outdoor seating and the menu which is short but very unique, with something for everyone. two of us ordered a brunch entre that was a green and very different version of huevos rancheros. The other diner ordered the thai chicken salad, a very generous portion, with perfectly cooked chicken, fresh vegetables and a beautiful presentation. An added bonus was the barista and delicious coffee drinks. I have already recommended this restaurant to two other families.
Great food and service
We went for our anniversary. The service was fantastic. The good was great. Our server was helpful and attentive but not annoying. The lighting was soft and romantic but not too dim. I was surprised I didn't see more young people dining there. It seems like a cool place to me for a dinner or just meet for drinks. I'm definitely going back. The only unpleasant thing was I noticed a strange smell in the bar area. Like old wet rags or something. Please go there. I'm going back for sure!
We returned to Metro for my wife's birthday because we enjoyed the food on previous visits. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the pork schnitzel on previously so she ordered it again. This time she was disappointed because the breading on the schnitzel was soggy and there appeared to be excess oil on the plate. She brought this to our server's attention and he asked if he could have the kitchen prepare her something else - she declined, so he took the schnitzel off our bill. Not everything was disappointing however, the charcuterie plate, specifically the duck liver mousse, was outstanding.
Food and service was wonderful.

Food was mediocre. Greasy and boring preparations. They rushed us out of there in an hour since it was Saturday night and they needed to turn the table. Not going back anytime soon.
This was my first time at Metro. I had lunch with my older son. The restaurant was quiet the day we were there. It was February but the weather was very nice, so we ate outside. The food was good. My son had the eggs Benedict. I tasted it, No complaints. I had the fried chicken sandwich with apple slaw. It was tasty, No complaints. The service was good. All in all it was a good experience! Will go again.
Went there with my grown children for my Birthday. I read the chefs Bio before going and learned that he was schooled at Contra Costa Culinary College which really spiked my interest since my two grown children started their college education there. The food was amzaing!!! We shared the tuna tartar, I had the Kale salad and the cajun chicken salad which was awsome. ALL THE INGREDIENTS WERE FRESH!! My kids loved their meal also including the "beet" salad. We also had a lovely desert which was the berry crisp. Donna, our waitress helped make our experience great, so great I'm joining a friend at Metro this Saturday evening. The chef came out and met with us which added to again, a great experience. (No brown lettuce in the salads) YEH!
The brussel sprouts & mayo and the beet salad were excellent. The entrees not so special. Bread pudding delicious.

Three of us had lunch on a Tuesday. The menu choices were excellent, next time I'll try the chopped salad. Two of us ordered the beet salad with whipped goat cheese, delicious and a light lunch for ladies. We had a nice table overlooking the garden, lots of light and the table was just the right size for three or four guests. ,Looking forward to a return visit.
Mgmt. was oblivious & service was non-existent
There was a large party going on at the table next to us and they were extremely loud, walking around their table, standing (hovering) over my seat (I could feel someone's coat brushing the back of my head while they carried on a conversation standing right next to me). Management should have set them up in a separate room or partitioned off their area - which would have been easily accomplished the way the restaurant is set up. It was apparent that other dining guests at tables further away were also uncomfortable with the noise level. As for our waiter, he basically disappeared every chance he got and we had to ask other waiters to please find ours so we could place an order and also to receive our check.
Food was bland and over priced for what was received. Will not return.
We really like Metro. The food is consistently very good and the service is top notch. It is noisy inside. If you want to have a conversation request an outside table. We love the little white lights in the trees. The filet of sole is delicious. Be sure to order the brussel sprouts.
Average food, nice patio in a strip mall
Meh. The menu, though outdated, reads okay and offers something for everyone. Nothing we tasted stood out but nothing was notably bad either. The space is pleasant enough and good for gathering a large group. It has the look and the vibe of a newly renovated Marriott.
Great food. Loved the pre-fix meal!

Burger & Garlic Fries
After a couple of weeks on the road, the thing I usually crave when getting back to Lafayette is Metro's burger with blue cheese and garlic or truffle fries. This time, added a epic Bloody Mary and it was a perfect New Year's Day meal!
Great food, but noisy
We have enjoyed Metro twice; for a private event and our anniversary. The food is very tasty, and the outdoors has the urban vibe because of the street. Dinner on New Year's Eve was disappointing because Open Door did not pass on the message (or Metro did not see it) that the occasion was our anniversary. I had hoped Metro would bring us a modest dessert. The noise level in the main small indoor section was not conducive to an intimate dinner. They need sound absorbing material on the ceiling and maybe rows of cool fabric to further absorb sound and create a warm ambience. We will return because of the food, for lunch, not dinner.
