Meritage at the Omni Interlocken Resort Ratings and Reviews
Great service! nice atmosphere! good wine but the expense was $$$$$ for the price of the dinner menu there should be at least a salad that comes with your dinner. Good for special occasions, business folks staying at hotel but for a night out to pricey.

We very much enjoy the Meritage, both for brunch and for dinner. Our servers at the Meritage have been excellent.
The Absolute Worst!
First of all I have been with Open Table since their inception. This is my first NEGATIVE review. My wife and I had 7:00 dinner reservations and we arrived 1 minute early. The hostess was about to seat us when an assistant manager asked if we could wait in the bar for 15 to 20 minutes. I was not thrilled but thought that was reasonable. (Restaurant ½ full, and she said her servers were busy) We had a couple of drinks and returned to the hostess at 7:45. Again we were asked to wait because the servers were so busy and there were even more vacant tables. I demanded to speak with the Head Manager. He could understand our extreme frustration and he immediately seated us. Our server Nick was just great. The food was good but not exceptional. I would never recommend this restaurant to ANY friend or foe. I will never go back, PERIOD. I am 67 and never been treated this way in my entire life.
Jennifer is an outstanding server and makes a very good meal better. This was our second time in a week at the Meritage. This time we brought a friend to treat him to dinner. We became concerned part way through the meal when he stopped eating his NY Strip Steak with more than half still on the plate. We asked him what was wrong. He told us it was so good that he was stalling to make it last longer. That is high praise. Everything was great. The food was great and Jennifer's service was outstanding.
To start we received very good service from the young waiter, in a quarter filled restaurant. Water and wine brought quickly. Waited, and waited while a hostess seated 2 adults and 6 little girls near us. Need we say more? Watched supervisor visit another table, another head to kitchen, and waited and waited. Food? What food? The brought us some stale slices of sour dough and a thumb size roll of butter, for 3 people. Then we waited and waited. No body ever came to check on our water, tell us where our salad or dinners were. Finally, after 45 minutes my husband went to waiter said we needed a cork for the wine. He came over and said our salads should be up soon. Waiter said they were short staff. He was nice enough but what on earth were those supervisors doing, other than looking important. We said no thanks and left. Wondering where the Omni's phenomenal waiter who was a wine expert went. This place has gone way down hill. What a disappointment.
Did not love it
We got brunch. The omelette was pretty good. The potatoes limp, the pastries uninteresting. Overall, just okay.
Great ambiance, good service, food was adequate
I have the vegetable lasagna which lacked in flavor, the sauce was dry and the noodles seemed dry or overcooked. My husband had the trout and loved it. So we were 50/50 on the experience.

Had a good selection for a Valentine menu. Sea bass was terrific!
Great Locale without the over population
Great portions which is always a concern with a higher end restaurant. The menu is a bit misleading with the full pricing of all courses, but a great staff can answer any question you have an will make sure you understand your dining options.
Valentines day, from the special menu selection
4 course meal, first two courses on track. We were early 5PM, room was pretty empty. By the time we were expecting the main course it took forever. I had buffalo prime rib, and my wife had sea bass. It seemed like our server ignored us for the longest time. The manager approached us, seemingly knew something was wrong in the kitchen, when it came out it was a large chunk of meat and cooked perfectly. Many people who were in after us had long gone before we finished our dessert. Pricey and really not an overall highly rated experience. Maybe its OK for brunch.
One of our favorite places
We have enjoyed going to The Meritage several times. We like it for special occasions in the evening as well as the Sunday Brunch.

Brunch was more than I expected!
I could not believe the options. Our kids were delighted. There were crepes and omelets made to order, oatmeal, spreads and breads, make your own burrito, bacon, sausage, soups, meats, desserts!... I could hardly make up my mind. There was something for everyone and then some. We could see the mountains from our table, the staff was kind and prompt. Lovely space- with lots of wood work and fancy place settings. Next time I'll bring a bigger appetite!
Amazing food, great service!!!
We went for Sunday brunch and were blown away with the delectable buffet and bottomless Mimosas. Great for intimate settings or like us a small group getting together for brunch. Service is top notch and the food is amazing, it will keep us coming back.
First time here and very pleased with food and service. Nice to find a place so quiet! And seated everyone close to the fire on a cold night. Will return for sure.
While staying at the Omni Interlocken Resort, we ate there 3 nights in a row. We enjoyed various appetizers and soups. We were very impressed with their fish entrees, especially the sea bass. We really enjoyed the deconstructed cherry cheesecake. It is the best cheesecake we have ever eaten. Looking forward to making a reservation on a Wednesday night where they have one half off bottles ofwine.
Speechless to say the least!
Went with 2 other couples for a nice New Years Eve dinner. Nightmare! Should have know once we entered and the restaurant only had a few tables seated that this was not going to be good. Once seated it took forever to get our drinks ordered which then would take 20 minutes to have them delivered to the table. This was a common theme throughout the night. There was a special dinner menu for NYE that we all ordered from. We place our order about an hour after we were seated and this was not by choice really. This was because our waiter was no where to be found. This was also not because the restaurant was busy. There were only 6 or 7 other tables and were small parties. Ours was the largest which was a table of 6. We all ordered Surf & Turf as our main course. Another 30 minutes goes by and we get our salads AND finish our salads. The waiter comes to the table to report that he cannot give us the Surf & Turf and that we would have to choose something else. So... I can only speak for myself, but I was not interested in duck or lamb or salmon. Not sure why they waited until an hour after we ordered to come out and tell us that they don't even have what we ordered. I could understand that if the restaurant was packed, but it was empty. The manager did try to make good by comping our drinks and assured us that the rest of the evening would be good. Ugh... took forever for our meals to come out. No ones filet was cooked incorrectly ranging from medium to well done (all 6 of them). We talked about sending them back, but at this point we were never going to get out of there. I could go on and on. Service was terrible and the food was subpar. Patrons are not valued here. We seemed to be more of a pain to them than anything. Stay away is all I would say about this place. So many other place to go that are close if you are staying there.
Honest to God best dinner out in a long time
The ambiance was perfect , the staff was perfect, it was the best tenderloin steak I have ever eaten and the location is perfect for us. The Omni has great packages and is even dog friendly. We can't wait to go back for a romantic overnight package.
Very Good food, Great service
The wait staff is very knowledgeable about both the food and the wine, and are also very helpful and personable. The food is very good, and they are willing to change the side dishes that come with the meal if you prefer something else. Cocktails are also quite good, and they will give you a small taste of any wine before you decide to buy a glass or a bottle.
An unintentional holiday tradition
My friends and I have gone here each of the last three years around the holidays. I originally found out about The Meritage on Restaurant.com, and have been coming back sporadically for the last couple years. Wonderful food. Great service. Usually a quieter, more intimate atmosphere. I have gotten 6 different dishes, tried some of my friends dishes, and every single one was absolutely delicious. The stand out for me on this most recent visit was actually the desert (a rare thing for me). I got the banana bread pudding and it was perhaps the best desert I've EVER ordered.
Nice Sunday brunch
Took the family to brunch here and it was good. The service was very good, they were attentive but not over bearing. Cleaned off our plates when done so we could go back for more! The food was decent to good. I have had better but this was good none the less.
The food was excellent. Late night dinner. Our waitress was good but got caught up in talking with the table next to us. We had great service until then. We had an order to go, but since they were about to close the waitress was not happy about it. She did not realize that we would have ordered earlier if she would have brought our food out sooner rather than socializing (for too long). But I must rave about the "bus lady" service. She was very attentive to filling our waters and getting us what we needed. Aside, I also thought we would have table cloths on our tables. It would have been a nicer feel for such a nice hotel.
Over priced for what you get
I was brought the wrong entree. The waitress realized it but my husband said he would just eat that instead. When we received our bill we were charged for the entree we did not order, which was more expensive than what we had ordered. My husband did not want to make a big deal out of it so we paid it. We were just shocked. We will probably not go back
We I arrived I gave my name and said I had a reservation. After I was seated I ordered a hot tea, soup, salad, and crab cake. Meal was taking a long time so checked my phone and saw an email stating the restaurant had cancelled my reservation. As this would take away my credit I went to speak to the person who seated me. Only way to fix was to rebook another reservation. When I return to my seat still no food but my coat was gone. The tea was already cold due to no lid. Then waitress brings my soup, salad & crab cake all at once vs courses and the crab cake was already cold! Terrible experience!
Great hotel gem
Had a wonderful dinner and breakfast here. Dinner - The Chilean theme special was very tasty (had the pork ribs) with paired wine. Breakfast - A great breakfast buffet. Lots of choices, and a cooked to order omelet bar. Staff was friendly and competent.

Excellent brunch! The staff is exceptional, especially Roberto, he is always pleasant and professional. The minute you walk through the entrance you know it will be a memorable experience.
We went for a nice, quiet, romantic dinner and it took forever for our wine to arrive. Then, not long after it finally did, a very large group of people, including several small children under the age of 5or 6, were seated not too far (not far enough) from our table and the kids were extremely loud and poorly behaved. The adults at their table kept getting louder and louder and they seemed oblivious to the fact that they were NOT the ONLY ones there to enjoy a meal. When one spends over $135 at an upscale restaurant, one would expect that they could enjoy a nice, quiet meal and be able to hear each other speak. We ended up rushing thru our meal, asking for the check and trying to leave as quickly as possible to escape the noisy scene.

The food was delicious. I have never tasted crabcakes like the ones my husband and I shared, loved the flavor. The scrimp scampi was wonderful. I felt very content after my meal. The noise level was very relaxing. The service was a little slow/behind, but our waitress was very friendly.
We had a great dinner for our anniversary. Our waiter was lacking a little in knowledge of the menu; we asked about non alcoholic drink options, cheeses and salami names and origins. All in all it was a memorable experience.
Didn't seem to value us
Food was ok. Buffet Brunch. Not a high end service experience. At all.
one of the best hotel restaurants
Our waiter was one of the most knowledgeable I have ever had serve me. He knew everything about the food and preparation. Confident but not pushy or arrogant. Gave great advice about every course and very helpful on wine selection. The buffalo is best I have ever had. Quality and creativity throughout. Everyone loved their food and the service!!
Absolutely perfect from start to finish!!! Very very wonderful food & service! Just be prepared to pay for it though. We will definitely be back!!

The food selection for Brunch was great, so many different things to try and not just your typical Brunch food. It was just way to hot in the dining area to enjoy it.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I have been here many times. They never disappoint. Better than average wine menu. After dinner we brought our drinks to the outdoor fire pit by the pool area. Beautiful views and a relaxing experience!
The menu items looked delicious and very elegant. We ordered the lamb and Chilean sea bass and both presentations of the dishes were beautiful, however they were both a under seasoned and a little bland. Since we were staying at the Omni hotel it was easy to eat here and we probably would eat here again. Our waiter was great and they have a great wine list.
