Always a great dining experience & the food never disappoints!!!
We having been coming fo Valentines Day now for number of years. Love the special menu. Shrimp cocktail is best I ever had. Wife loves the steak Oscar. I tried the prime rib this year and it was amazing. She always has to have the cream berlay. I usually don't have desert but this year I had the fudge cake with ice cream. Fabulous.

Had dinner twice in the past 3 weeks. Ordered steak both times, different cuts. Considering the price was $40-$50 for the meat, I was not impressed. Both cuts consisted of about 20%-25% that was not for consumption, i.e., too tough to chew. Very disappointing steak experience both times. Will most likely return but not for steak

Great food and service. And not too expensive. Very good experience overall.
Our favorite for anniversary celebration
McGills can always be relied on to serve delicious food cooked just the right way. We have celebrated several of our anniversaries (this was #49) there and are never disappointed. Their filets are cooked to perfection and I can heartily recommend the butterflied shrimp. The only thing I would have changed is the bread, which was good, but I prefer soft bread rather than one with hard crust. Although we were very full, the complimentary dessert was a nice touch. We will definitely go there again and recommend to friends.
Great Food! Especially their Sunday steak/lob.
The only complaint is on Sunday apparently they have an owners meeting in the bar with five or six older men. The men get loud and the customers don't want to hear about their adventures. I would suggest if they are going to hold an owners meeting on Sunday, they use a back room or leave before 5:00pm when the restaurant opens.

Dined on our 29th anniversary. Hostess acknowledged the celebration and seated us at a quiet table. Waiter (Kent) was properly attentive and food was very good.
Service Not as Good as Usual
Over the years I have had special family events at McGills. And I took my work team again this year for holiday luncheon. Server was too keen on waiting on us. Never, ever smiled. Had hard time getting refills on water and coke...the steak special is always good and all four of us ordered. Had to send on that was to be medium-well but it came to the table rarer than rare. We arrived earlier than most for lunch, so I would have understood if they were really busy initially... It is normally a better experience--and we even had to get through the construction to have this service
McGills still a star
McGills continues to be a go to place for a nice quiet dinner. Had the surf and turf and a bottle of wine. Both were excellent, very quiet and cozy location at 21st.
Food is always excellent, wait staff extremely friendly, overall great restaurant.

Food was good and service as well. There were a few Christmas parties going on so the noise was understandably a little higher but my wife and I could still carry on a conversation without any trouble. We were early for our reservation by 15 min and they were still happy to accommodate us right away.

Another wonderful dining experience with McGill's. The food was outstanding, as usual. Kent was terrific and helped make the experience very nice.
Food used to be wonderful but!
Food has certainly gone down in quality from several years ago. Used to be a great place with wonderful food but not so for the prices.
Not as good as 61st and Yale
My fiancé and I went to the McGills on 21st because it was close to our new house. The restaurant was basically empty but they sat us right next to the kitchen. Our waiter was fantastic, but listening to the chef cuss out the staff and the manager loudly discipline his staff and tell them to set good examples for the lunch servers was not what we wanted to listen to on our date night. The filet was good, but the prime rib was all fat and was tastes very bad. We didn't send it back because at that point we just wanted out of there. I'll stick to 61st and Yale from now on, if we ever decide to go back.

Great food, amazing service!
Lovely atmosphere with very comfortable seats. Our waitress was so warm and welcoming, food didn't take too long to come. Overall great experience!
Best steak for the money
I've always loved McGill's for steak, but they have so much more! It's great to grab an appetizer and drink at the bar and if you do, order the escargot with a glass of house red. The sitting is uniquely Tulsa. If you're new to the city, it's a great place to meet those that call Tulsa home. Let's talk about the steak though: There are other great places for steak in the city, McGill's is the best for the money. Always quality cuts cooked to perfection. I've eaten at the best steak houses in the U.S. and I have no problem including McGill's in that list. I like entertaining clients there because I know the service will be great, the menu is simple, the noise level is low, and the food is great! If you take a group for steak, order the ribeye and have it cooked Pittsburgh style. It is a wonderful steak and a conversation starter. McGill's is Tulsa and anyone who lives here or visiting should stop in for a glass of red and a great steak.
Disappointing 16th Birthday
Took my family to McGills for my son's 16th birthday this weekend. Best I could give it was three stars because the food that was good was really good and the food that was bad was really bad. Two of the dinner filets (which were ordered by my parents who were too embarrassed to send them back) came to the table with a really strange taste to them. Although I can't imagine they use lighter fluid, both commented that the steaks had a lighter fluid taste. Also, one came to the table way undercooked. The rest of the food was great but we have higher expectations that they get a $400 dinner right the first time. Our server was Kent and he was great!
McGill's is FABULOUS!
The food and service is always spectacular! The price is a good value for the wonderful food and ambiance. I would recommend for any special occasion or a quiet night out :-)
Good food, great service!
The lobster pasta was amazing! The portion was huge, as well. James took care of our table and did a great job. I will go back!
We took a work team of six people to McGill's for a celebration lunch. The service was nice, the server attentive but the food was mediocre at best. We all ordered something Different and we were all very disappointed in our meals. Visually they were appealing but they were very lacking in flavor.
it was my first time going to the restaurant and we went for the lobster filet special and it was delicious! It was great value and I thought it was delicious!
Top notch service!
I am never disappointed when eating at this restaurant. I love the cozy atmosphere and the comfortable leather chairs. The food is always delicious and the wait staff is the best in Tulsa!
We went to the restaurant on 21st street. My orange roughy was delicate and delicious - perfect. The bruschetta was the best we've ever had. The steak fajitas my husband ordered did not come on a sizzling platter as most fajita lovers prefer, but they were hot and good. The coffee was very hot and fresh. Service was superb. We will definitely go there again.
Went to McGill's on 21st for a business lunch. As always, it was an outstanding experience! Superior service, top notch quality and all in a perfect setting.
Not worth the price
Decent food but not worth the cost. You can get a lot better tasting steak from one of the chain steakhouses for less. The service was the one shining light of the evening. Other wise I left wondering why I spent that much for a bland dinner.
My husband and I went for our anniversary on a Friday night. The food, service and overall experience was amazing!! Highly recommend this for any special occasion or romantic evening (minus the kiddos.)
Great food, great service
Booked a group of 8 for lunch at 12:00 through OpenTable on Monday for the following day. OpenTable is such a great, hassle and worry-free service. McGill's was flawless with our reservation. Our server was excellent, not at all intrusive and spot on with his suggestions. Myself and another team member had the 5 ounce bacon-wrapped sirloin special and it was fabulous. Quite pricey for lunch, however. Another member of our party raved about the club sandwich and how generous the portions were. Several in our group had huge salads and thoroughly enjoyed them. We were all very pleased - which is amazing with such a sizeable group.
Definitely an upscale experience.
My husband and I visited McGill's to celebrate his birthday. We normally dine early and so our reservations were for 5:30 p.m. on a Thursday . Our waiter was very attentive throughout the evening. Our dinner was outstanding and prepared perfectly. We hadn't planned on ordering dessert as we were both very full and I was taking about half of my meal home with me. The waiter asked if this was a special occasion and I told him it was my husbands birthday. He left and returned with a creme brûlée with a candle! A very enjoyable visit. We will definitely go back.
Lousy table with Open Table
Good food. Great drinks. Decent table not for Open Table users. Those are "reserved " for someone 2 hours later wearing shorts.
We wanted to spend our 37th wedding anniversary in style, so we chose McGills on 21! We arrived early (5pm) for better service and quiet. Everything was perfect from the lobster bisque to the steak and lobster dinner. I even had to take some home. Toward the second half of our evening, it began filling up and we had a very noisy table behind us but that certainly wasn't the restaurants fault. Great night all in all!
My husband and I had a very romantic dinner
Loved the atmosphere, great food, and fast service. Our server was James, he was very attentive and informative. We will definitely go again to McGill's best steak and lobster in Tulsa!
We dined at about 6pm. If you really want good food--go later. I ordered escargot--it was coolish-- I ordered prime-rib--med rare. Wow did they miss the mark on this one! It was closer to medium well and there was a lot of grissle. I suspect if you go later in the evening, it will be better. This place has a great reputation and I have been before and loved it--this was my 20th anniversary--and it just missed the mark. Corey was an absolute delight as a waiter!!!!
My significant other and I booked a reservation on a whim on a Friday evening. We arrived a few minutes early, and were seated immediately by a polite host. Our waiter arrived shortly, and offered suggestions from the menu. Our drinks from the bar came quickly, as well as our dinners. The butterfly and coconut shrimp were both fantastic, as were the vegetables and baked potatoes that accompanied them. We ordered crème brûlée for dessert, and while the consistency was a little thick, it was delicious none the less. Our waiter was very friendly and polite, and checked on us just enough so that it wasn't overbearing. Overall, the food was terrific, and the service was wonderful. We will certainly be returning in the near future.
superlative service, amazing intimate and comfortable seating. oh my God. Best escargot, primerib ever!
Enjoyed a Special Staff Christmas lunch
Food and service at McGill's was wonderful as usual. We went a little early to lunch so avoided crowd. I ask for specific type seating since I had two persons with mobility issues. They accommodated us without saying why we got those seats--so that was nice. Everyone loved it.
