LoHi Steakbar Ratings and Reviews
Good food, good atmosphere
Went there for birthday brunch, food was excellent, and enjoyed the ambiance. Waiter was a little snooty when I asked about the beers on tap and proceeded to try and explain beer to me when all I wanted to know was what was on tap. I'm sure not all the wait staff is like that, and I would likely go back again.
Poorly Cooked Steak
Two out of the six in our party ordered the filet, it was horribly over cooked. Had we not had reservations at William's and Graham at a certain time for after dinner drinks, we would have sent it back. I ordered medium rare and the steak had zero pink, fully cooked all the way through, and a burnt exterior. Very disappointing because the other members of our party had very well cooked steaks. Need to work on the filet skills.
We were excited to find reservations on a Saturday night only a day in advance. Now we know why. The service was lackluster in the beginning and only got worse. Drinks came out in a reasonable time, but that was the only thing that did. After 45 minutes, we noticed nobody else in the dining room had entrees on their tables, we politely asked for an ETA for our food to arrive as we had other plans after dinner. You would have thought we insulted our waitress' children by the look she gave us. We waited almost an hour for entrees to arrive and it was not worth the wait. The sheppards pie was barely palatable. The filet ordered medium rare came out well done, which was frustrating after waiting so long. We sent it back and waited for a new steak. while the replacement was cooked properly, it was pretty low quality and not worthy of a place with "steak" in its name. The only good thing about this place was that it was within walking distance of our next destination. Don't waste your time or money here.
Great food and Best Staff Ever
The food was great at Lohi, delicious steaks and appetizers, so don't think twice about giving it a try. What impressed me even more was the owner and staff. My family arrived in several different cars for dinner the opening day of the baseball season (I think ... I'm not from Denver), and my father who only has vision in one eye was having some trouble with finding a parking place. After driving around for a while, he came inside and asked for suggestions, and the owner gave him his own parking spot (then promptly found another across the street; there's good karma for you). Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name- I'm terrible with that) was genuinely warm (as opposed to your everyday fake-friendly waiter-bot) and throughout the meal other wait staff routinely stopped by to check on us as well. Truly impressive, all around.
A great discovery
Our family of four adults went here for my husbands birthday. The steaks and duck were perfect as were the sides. Desert and drinks, perfect. My husband was given a special birthday beverage treat. We will go back to this sweet place.
For a place with steak in its name we expected more options. Food was expensive for the quality with everything ala carte. Our waiter forgot one of our sides and when we mentioned it he brought it at the end of our meal. Waiter was slow and condescending. Ambience is casual and comfortable.

The staff was incredible, my family is quite the handful at times and they were just great. Thank you. Food was awesome!
Good food and reasonable prices.
Our meal was delicious and the service was attentive.
Eh, better places for sure
Lets see, out of 3 steaks, 1 was overcooked, 1 was undercooked, and 1 was fine. There is no valet so finding parking was a nightmare. The veg was served cold and the effort to address the overcooked steak was sub-par. Basically just a trendy restaurant in a trendy part of time that will likely not survive long.
Service was fantastic, but definitely not intrusive to our private time. They were busy, but we never felt neglected. Date night dinner with my wife. Good meal. Food was above average, but not great.
Great restaurant week find!
Dinner at Lohi Steakbar was our best restaurant week dinner yet!
It was okay...
The food was really good but our server was clueless. We asked if anything was gluten free and I don't believe she had any idea what that even meant. The food runner (with the pony tail/man-bun) was awesome, his service made it a worthwhile time.
Pricey for Fare
Made reservations for 6:00pm on a Friday night. There were a few patrons at the bar and a few tables in the middle (main dining room). My date and I were taken to the back room and sat next to a large party of 6 enjoying happy hour. After a few minutes we asked to be moved as it was clear that the group next to us was ready to tie one on and we were hoping for a bit more of a quiet meal. Nothing against them and it looked like they had plenty of open tables. This request was accommodated quickly and without the usual resistance which I appreciated. The service was good, not too obtrusive but knowledgeable and friendly. No complaints here. The food itself was a slight disappointment but good nonetheless. I ordered a side of Brussels sprouts along with the NY Strip and requested it Pittsburgh style. My boyfriend got the salmon and a cup of their potato soup. I tried his soup... it wasn't bad but it was more or less simply mashed potatoes. He ate it all, I would not have. My steak was cooked well but wasn't Pittsburgh style, very little charring on the outside. Still tasted great and their LoHi seasoning is terrific. The Brussels were also tasty and perfectly crunchy. My boyfriend didn't like the sauce that came with his salmon and thought it was underdone. This is not their fault as they specified it would be cooked medium and it came out just that. Just a heads up for future diners: if you are used to salmon done, make sure you ask them to bring the temp up. All in all it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I will probably return to try brunch or their happy hour as the prices seemed a little steep for what you're getting. Lovely atmosphere though and great outdoor seating for the spring.
Christmas in February
I took my employees here for our annual Christmas Dinner in February. We all had steaks with all the trimmings and the quality of the food was superb and the service was non stop great! I definitely will recommend LoHi Steakhouse to friends and family. Thanks for a great evening!
Scallops were pretty good but overpriced for the portion.oysters were good, but mussels too fishy .Very noisy.looks like a fun bar scene and families brought their kids.If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd pop in ther, but not with driving for
Nice selection in all areas. Enjoyed a couple of appetizers, soups, salads and 3 main courses as well as dessert. Had 2 bottles of wine and the price was reasonable based on the food and service. Easy to find location, but parking was tough on a Friday night. All clean plates by the end of the evening!
Go if you can
Good food, good times, good friends..... Love the aspect that you can dress it up with intimate table service or dress it down with the community table option. Either way, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is lively without taking away from the conversation, the ambience is mood friendly and supports a gathering.

Food and service were outstanding! The wait staff is well trained and attentive, but not overly so. The braised ribs are so tender and flavorful. Scallops are perfectly seasoned and presentation is excellent.

Sensational Scallops & Excellent Service
Three of the four in our party ordered the Scallops for dinner and we were not disappointed. Our appetizers and main entrees were all excellent and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Overall great experience. I did order a filet medium rare and it was brought out medium well. When I asked them to correct they did and the steak was perfect! Great service.
Our steaks were prepared perfectly. Service was average. Dining room was very loud.

We owe LoHi Steakbar the best review because they made our dining experience beyond what we had expected. We were celebrating a new job as a firefighter for our family member and wanted to pre-select our entire menu. The manager worked well with us and had everything set when we arrived. We had Prosecco served immediately for a toast followed by a bottle of wine and then our appetizer came out shortly after. Once the main course came we were already full but couldn't resist the steaks. The Prime rib is top notch! After that dessert was served and our bill was prepaid. The staff was so amazing too. I felt that everyone working was hands on for our table. It was an experience we will never forget. Thanks LoHi Steakbar!
GREAT FOOD; Mmmmehh Service
The food was WAY better than I had ever remembered and the diversity of the menu has grown since we were last there and everyone at our 6-top was greatly impressed with the food. However, it is still the tiny little bar/restaurant with way too many people crammed in and way too many orders to keep track of for the bar/kitchen as not once did a round of drinks all come out together and one of our dinners was forgot completely and we had to wait easily 5-8 minuets for her meal to come out which was incredibly awkward. The manager did all he could by comp'ing a round of drinks but still when someone asks me about the night, the first thing I remember is waiting for that last meal to come out and then cutting into a cold steak when it finally did b/c our table had waited for everyone at our to receive their food before we all ate.

The NY Strip was great and the Brussel Sprouts. Service was excellent. Went for Happy Hour and it was not very crowded.
Not worth the price
My steak was no better than you get at Chili's. Fries for a side is just lazy. My wife's chicken had no flavor. I would expect a meal like that to go for $30. This one was $90. No thanks.
Amazing Service and Food
My mom and I went to LoHi for an evening our and some great food. We were immediately impressed with the service we received and the quality of the food! Sara (I believe) was absolutely amazing! She was friendly from the start and made perfected recommendations about food. We will definitely be back because of her!
We found LoHi Steakbar while vacationing in Denver. We went to a late dinner there to celebrate my fiancée's birthday. The music and atmosphere were above our expectations. Our server was great and made our meal enjoyable. The soup of the day was a fantastic tomato bisque followed by a perfectly cooked flatiron steak with a side. We had a great meal with a great server. I highly recommend this dining spot.
Good Steak Excellent Service
We came to this restaurant hankering for steak and they didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. The steaks (we both had the fillet mignon) were cooked perfectly. We also had the mussels for an app and they were a large portion and good too. The sides are separate, we had Brussels sprouts and a baked potato that were big enough to share. The wine is fairly priced and quite a good value. If you get there for happy hour they have $1 oysters which my husband said were super. We ate an early dinner on a Sunday night and it was not busy. A very good experience and a very relaxing evening.

Great Place for Friendly Gathering
My work crew and I met for a celebratory team dinner last Friday night. The food was great and there was something for everyone. Our waiter was friendly and great with his timing. I really loved his wine recommendation. When the music got a little too loud the staff was really quick to lower the volume at our request. I felt like they really cared about our experience. We will definitely go back again.
I had a very nice dinner at LoHi Steakbar over Labor Day Weekend. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely be returning!
Used to be our very favorite. Was so disappointing. Favorite appetizers gone, the one we ordered not as offered on menu. Steak was cold. Favorite sauces gone. Ice tea was old and tasted stale. Ordered coffee, 15 min later had to complain to manager because we never got it. Service was awful too. When I asked if they still had menu items "I don't know, I didn't work here then" we won't be back. So sad.
Your NY Strip was below average. Needs to improve before I drop $28 again. Shoe String fries were soggy. Salad was good, but not worth $8. Salad mix, 2 tiny tomatoes and dressing. For $8 you need a variety of veggies, maybe offer some Parmesan also. Sorry, not the best food and will not be back until improvements are done.

The Highlands are fast becoming a mecca for dining out, and LoHi pulls its weight and then some! Always an amazing service experience, and the food is delicious! The Lamb Tenderloin is true culinary artistry!
Great food and service
Had a wonderful evening and the steak was awesome Will be back !!!

Service was very good and the happy hour was nice treat. Was with a group and most enjoyed the overall experience but all agreed the quality of the food was mediocre at best. The Shepards Pie was filled will very fatty beef and zero veggies as advertised. The steaks were the quality of a king soopers special of the meat aisle. That all said, the waitress and management were accommodating to the poor food and adjusted the price. THANKS for recognizing that need!
