Lobster Shop South Ratings and Reviews
Truly deserving to be in the top list of restaurants in Tacoma! Great ambiance, great food, great service! We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it was so worth it! Will definitely come back again.
Nice but pricey
Spent $90.00 for two, ate everything and still left hungry. The calamari was awesome but not enough sauce. Waitress only came by about every twenty minutes.
Great view of Mt Rainier and The Sound. The brunch was delicious.

We are NEVER disappointed here!!! Absolutely LOVE our Sunday brunches here!!! The staff is always amazing, the food is so amazing, we Love love love the lobster mac and cheese, and of course the variety of fresh seafood, highly recommend! Worth the $$$$
The citrus dressing on the beet salad was delicious. The creme bruele superb. The waiter was very busy but was attentive without being intrusive.
We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday enjoying the incredible Sunday brunch! The food selections were wonderful, taste was exquisite, service perfect and price totally reasonable! I am on a low carb diet and they offered tons of options to suit my individual needs........overall EXCELLENT!!
Worth the price!
The food is always first rate and the prices are comparable to other nice restaurants in the area. The Lobster Shop is always my first choice for a nice meal.
Won't visit again! Poor service; poor food!
The service and food were poor. My husband's pricey 2 inch piece of halibut tasted ok but I've never seen such a small portion. My lobster was rubbery and the mashed potatoes were right out of a grocery store deli. We had to ask for our check after a lengthy wait. $133.00 later, it was not worth the visit. We won't be back and won't recommend it to anyone else.
Great food, friendly & warm service, but noisy!
The overall experience was mostly pleasant, but the setting of the tables seems to lend itself to lack of intimacy & privacy. The group of 4 next to us were loud, and the overall ambiance is noisy & bustling. The select Chardonnay at $13 a glass was nothing special, and not worth the price. Food quality & quantity definitely top notch! Nice location, but the atmosphere is not as cozy as the Dash Point Lobster Shop (unfortunately now closed).
Excellent food, wine, service and overall experience. We look forward to coming back.

The wait staff was so kind and attentive. Absolutely devoted to making our experience splendid. The drinks were awesome and generous. I hadn't been there in some time and it was a pleasure to return to an old favorite. Thank you!
Went for Easter. Didnt realize that they wud still be serving brunch at 545pm. Great array of foods but most things looked tired and like they had been there for awhile. Ran out of cheesecake. Like the Lobster shop but wouldnt go back for this meal.
Good service recovery!
Our ticket got lost in the kitchen. Waited over an hour for 2 pasta dishes. Manager comped our appetizer and gave us dessert. Will return. I heard brunch is excellent.
No Fish Tacos
Food was excellent with decent portions. No 3oz pretty dish that will cost you $55 and leave you hungry.
Great twilight menu.
Probably a good idea to let one finish one course before bring out another.
Perfect for that special occasion
Coordinated a milestone event for a family member, and was pleased beyond measure at the great staff, fantastic views, intimate atmosphere, and incredible eats. The Twilight Menu option provided a 3-course meal (appetizer, entree, and dessert) for under $35. Add a Twilight house wine option for $5. WONDERFUL ... absolutely wonderful evening with a great view of the harbor.
WAY too spendy for lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a great night there with my friends and family. Delicious food ,kind service and gorgeous view.

Everything was great.
We were a party of 4 who met at the Lobster, sitting down about 8:15. This was more on the late side, and we the dining room mostly to ourselves. The food was excellent, the staff attentive (Our waitress was really nice), the ambience really nice, and the manager was extremely cordial and checked in on us. I liked that we were not chased out of there, and we enjoyed a leisurely dinner with friends. I highly recommend the Lobster Shop. This is a romantic restaurant for the special occasion, with a beautiful view of the water. What more could you ask for? We'll be back for sure. We used to eat the the Dash Point Lobster Shop, before it was closed.

Had reservation of four, but two didn't make it. No big deal and we were seated right away. The waiter was engaging and helpful. I had the lobster bisque, which was great and oysters. The oysters were fantastic and were devoured quickly. The food was prepared quickly and was delicious. I will be back.

Very Good overall experience,4 out of 5 stars
It was a delight to find a hidden treasure amongst the" I am a super star Restaurants of our time" Brand X , It was Nice , the Food was Great, The lights outside were too bright and should be dimmed down , the lighting inside the restaurant was the same a Bit too bright, other than that it was 10 star . Made a reservation in advance explained it was s special occasion and was disappointed when we were un able to get a window seat , when reservations are not required , other than that first class!
Great Night Out
Birthday dinner for my wife. Service was impeccable and the food fantastic. Spendy, but worth it.
Excellent restaurant with a view.
Our server Monet was very personable and efficient. Very good dining experience with a great view. Thank you Monet for a job well done.
For just $23 you get a delicious meal! You receive an appetizer, entree and dessert. I highly recommend the lobster bisque and creme brulee !!! The view is amazing too.

Ordered Ceaser Salad with dinner and not one piece of lettuce was green it was yellow lettuce, very bitter, and my wife's Mojito came with a sugar cube floating on top
The staff was great. They were attentive and helpful. Our food was delicious and even our toddler scarfed down most of his meal. We were celebrating as a family and will definitely do it again in the future!
Exceptional Value and Taste
Wonderful. We enjoy the "twilight menu" on any weeknight. Even though non-well drink cocktails are pricey, the food, service and ambience is terrific.
The brunch had breakfast and lunch items, the best being the lobster bisque (amazing!) It is a bit pricey, but all in all, very good.

The restaurant is gorgeous, great views of the bay. We had the best server, super kind and accommodating and the best was the food. I've been having major pregnancy cravings for lobster and the lobster shop did not disappoint! We'll be back for sure.
Overall great experience. I will definitely return and will recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Easy parking, great view, and loved the Twilight menu!
horrible and never will return.
my dining experience at the lobster shop was horrible. i have always gone to saltys in redondo and thought lobster shop would be a nice place to try. with the name lobster shop i thought who could go wrong. eggs benedict was undercooked, cobb salad was wilted, went to get crab twice, no crab. Clam chowder was overheated, like it sat for hours before serving it. clams in wine sauce was shells in wine sauce, you would get back to the table and maybe get 3 clams but you had a plate full of shells. i will never return and not reccomend.

Very nice all the way around. A lot of great seafood choices. Love the lobster bisque with cream sherry.
Great Foot & Service. Heater to High!
Great food and service but we sat next to the windows and the heater was on full blast. I felt like I was in a sauna....horrible experience.
