Prix Fixe lunch is a great deal
Can't beat the 2 course Prix Fixe for $28, great choices and food.
1st visit. Rest Wk Cafe Lunch. Big Success!ess!
The 3-Course Cafe Lunch Menu was really perfect and the service was excellent: warm, friendly, most efficient and accommodating. The whole experience and ambiance was really lovely and fun!! We had an amazing experience and cannot wait to return!

The cuisine sings! Service is impeccable save for an error on the bill.
Excellent food & location, a must visit.
Great atmosphere, sophisticated, elegant, simple. Food is delicious, very well presented, perfect portions. They have a very vast wine list and many options from glasses from the Prestige wines to bottles from select regions around the world. The staff was very professional and surprisingly very friendly and attentive (not much the same for the BAR staff - they need to be less snooty and pay more attention to the clients). I highly recommend the restaurant.
A very pleasant evening
Le Cirque does not disappoint...a beautiful venue done well. Food was excellent (small portions)...wine list is good but not as extensive as I would like...service was excellent but could be a tad more friendly. All in all one of my favorite places in NYC to dine. Cheers.
I had dinner here ..I ordered the Octopus Salad which was the best I've ever had..the octopus was tender and accompaniments were very tasty; it blew me away. I then ordered the beef short rib, white polenta, beef jus, chanterelle mushroom was good also but not my favorite. I loved the inventive menu and the melding of tastes and flavors. If you are a foodie this is a must!
If they were too busy to provide decent service (there was a big party upstairs), they should have told us when we made the reservation. There was NO attempt to make up for it either; shouldn't they at least have offered us coffee at the end? Yes, the food is very good, but it wasn't even that warm when it came. The waiter said he spoke to the manager (after an hour when I asked about our first course), shouldn't the manager have come over to say something? The waiter was pleasant, but didn't even look in our direction, didn't bring more butter, nothing. And we brought friends, so not a happy experience
An old glory in need of new cuisine
I had a veal chop. Full of nerves, Not compact. Hardly warm and cooked. My guest enjoyed pasta with white truffles for ...$150. The staff is distracted and the atmosphere is dull. UUrgent time for re engineering.

Loved extra treat to be seated in the restaurant.
That day Le Cirque Cafe' was not available. We were seated at the legendary restaurant, but they kindly honored the Cafe' prix fix menu. The food was extraordinary! It was my third time there and everything was perfect. Not a single disappointment. I would suggest other first class restaurants to follow the example, offer a less expensive menu for people who want to taste the food of great chefs but can't afford high prices. For me and a friend it worked: we loved the food of Le Cafe' so much that we went to Le Cirque restaurant for dinner. Never mind prices! We knew we would be treated like ladies and would eat the best food in town. Thank you for the great idea. We really feel special in your restaurants.
I had higher expectation
I had higher expectation, everything was OK but nothing more than average, special note for the dessert, delicious.

We reserved for the cafe, but was seated in the main dining room, so my husband who came later was asked to wear a jacket. Their web site says there is fix price dinner, but was told it is only during lunch. Our guest ordered fish and was served the wrong fish. I sent a written complaint to the management, but was ignored. Very disappointed considering Le Cirque have a refutable name and we are repeat customers.

C'est formidable! A must in midtown.
An unforgettable meal, superb service, excellent food in a modern decorated setting. A must in midtown.
A NYC experience we will never forget
What a wonderful experience! The service we received was impeccable and once they found out it was my friend's birthday, they made a special dessert for her. We explained that we were all from out of town and the next thing you know we are getting a tour of the kitchen and pastry kitchen. And then we met the Sous Chef! Thank you for such a special evening!
Thoroughly enjoyable evening
Our dinner experience exceeded our expectation . The food was perfectly prepared and the presentation and portions were excellent. The staff were attentive and warm as well as professional. We will definitely return. Thank the chef and staff for a special evening.
Impeccable French cuisine in midtown
The restaurant is nicely decorated and service is very attentive. Food is very good especially the desserts! Highly recommend.
Casual but elegant
What a great experience to be able to et at Le Cirque for restaurant week. The service, the food and the casual elegance was just wonderful. I had the salmon that was served over a salad with a light dressing and it was delicious. The deserts were very special also. The young lady that was our server was very professional considering that she is summer help as she explained
Reliably high quality
I went for lunch having been to dinner there the previous week. Kt did not disappoint. The food and service were very good. My seabass with crispy skin was perfect.
First time I was ever disappointed by Le Cirque. From start to finish definitely not the same quality service I have grown to expect-- but then again, this was the first time I was with another woman and not our husbands .Hmmm.
Great food and great service
Some friend recommended this restaurant and and I went there with my another friend. Both of us love this place, especially the desserts!

Went here during restaurant week. Love the monkey theme. It's not pretentious as we thought it would be. The waiter was very attentive. Food was excellent. Summer gazpacho was a little sweet but still great. Lobster salad was to die for. Love the salmon. Skirt steak's presentation was a little subpar and it tasted ordinary too. Creme brulee portion was big, too bad we could not finish it becuause we were so full already. We'll definitely come back.
Classy French cuisine located near Bloomingdale's
We were seated in the restaurant that's very appealing. The service is good but very busy during dinner that evening. Food and wine are very good. You won't be disappointed.

New York City Classic
It is a flawlessly run dining experience. I have been to many of New York's hottest new restaurants, and I chose Le Cirque over all of them. I've been going for years, and have never had a bad meal. The staff is attentive and the food spectacular. The ambience is great too. What's not to like? I don't think I've ordered the same dish twice, as they constantly modify things from season to season, and change up certain dishes from year to year, so that you are always getting something new and exciting. I will continue to come here to celebrate special occasions for years to come.
Delicious food, subpar service
On July 17, I, my boyfriend, and his grandparents dined at Le Cirque Cafe with a 7:30 reservation. The food was very good: three of us had the Tomato and Basil Tarte Tartin appetizers, and one of us had the Le Cirque Salad. Then for the main course, I had the Burrata and Prosciutto and the rest had the Scottish Salmon. All of these dishes were unique and pleasing, and the prix fixe option was definitely a wonderful option. However, the service was in some aspects, sub par. There were moments of finessed service, like when the food came out and the sauce was poured over the salmon at the table, and I was offered drops of balsamic over my burrata. But, my boyfriend's grandfather ordered a glass of wine with his meal, which he never received. He simply informed the waiter that the wine never arrived and not to include it on the check, which was taken care of and the waiter apologized profusely. However, then we waited for the check for a good 20-25 minutes after we finished eating. We would have asked for it, but the staff seemed nowhere to be found. Overall, the food was delicious, but the wait staff should be more attentive.
French Restaurant Week Menu
The food, service, ambiance were all excellent. The bottle of French champagne helped us celebrate Bastille Day in great style. The restaurant is beautiful. Looking forward to,going back.
French Restaurant Week
We Selected 1 item each of 3 allowed courses for $38. Our bill for 2 was $130 (plus tip). We inquired and were told there was an extra cost for items selected. Why are they listed in a special?
Frestaurant is love.y, food was very good, but the service was a bit slow and in Attentive.
Misleading & disappointing
It looked like the restaurant was particpating in French restaurant week with a $17.89 lunch. It turned out to be a drink and an appetizer (no choice for either) at the bar. Lunch was from their regular menu.
Had dinner in the cafe. Pre fixe which is app & entree for $38. Dinner was very good. I tired the hanger steak this time. It's a very nice dinner in a nice atmosphere. restaurant week is a very good deal. So try it then!
Great food rules!
Some might thing that roast chicken is mundane. NOT if it's made by a great French chef! Participated in French Restaurant week's set lunch menu and, everything - from bread to wine to tarte tatin was amazing. Take every opportunity to experience the fabulous food here.
Hip ambiance & delicious French food
Le Cirque has a wonderful ambiance combined with a reasonably priced menu. The classic French cuisine was outstanding. We went to multiple French restaurants over the past few days and Cirque was significantly better than the rest.
