Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, and close to the Potomac River, Landini Brothers is a well-established landmark in Northern Virginia. It has been serving northern Italian food in the traditional Tuscan style since it opened in 1976. Food was absolutely outstanding. Made a last minute reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Even on short notice, the restaurant had a table card with hearts ready for us. Service was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

An Alexandria staple with a timeless feel. Service is top-notch and the food, as it always has been, is SUPERB. Came with a group of friends and everyone raved about this place for the next week. It's always top on my list for special occasions--the wine list is also impeccable with some stellar pairings. My only regret is I don't come here more often!

Food was excellent. Service was good, but it did take longer than expected to receive bar order.Dining room was hot, which given that this weekend was the first heatwave in DC, is not surprising. I’ll go back for a meal for sure.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here with an excellent variety of dishes. The squid appetizer was tender and tasty, and the special offering of Chilean sea bass was the best I have ever enjoyed. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and we could not have hoped for a better celebration!

I’ve been to Landini Brothers more than 20 times, and was shocked by the poor service we received. Seated in the dark, freezing cold upstairs room and waited 20 minutes for our server, 45 minutes for our first drink. We had to go directly to the bar several times to get service. When we got our check he had charged us for a $140 bottle of wine we didn’t order. He corrected the check and then scolded us for not tipping (which we did at 20% despite our experience because we were all servers at one point in our lives) and when we pointed out he was looking at the blank customer copy and not the one we filled out he muttered something and walked away. We were there for three hours for two courses and one bottle of wine, which speaks to how slow the experience was. Food was great but proof that bad service ultimately determines the experience. Embarrassed to have wasted my OOT guests’ time here.

Service was impeccable and the food was delicious except for the risotto. I told the waiter that it tasted bland, and he promptly took it away and removed it from our bill. The limoncello dessert was second to none! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had horrible service yesterday for dinner. Our server made a racial remark referencing “jungle fever” when asking whether the blackened or broiled salmon was better. He also kept trying to upsell us by saying the bottles of wine were small and insisting he was going to put an order of calamari for us when we said we needed a minute multiple times. We ordered the caprese and piatta salads and they came out with no silky vinaigrette on them like listed on the menu. Overall, this visit was a big disappointment.
