We took our three boys as a special treat and they really enjoyed the food. Our waitress was so accommodating and lovely. The fact that they were so helpful with my husbands gluten free diet was such a bonus. Tons of gluten free options. Will definitely go back soon.
High db level and energy
Very frenetic, highly-charged atmosphere at lunchtime; things quieted down after 2. Good sushi, excellent service.
Service was not polite and the food was mediocre.
Service was not polite and the food was mediocre at best. The sushi wasn't that good and there were a ton of servers but they were all standing around chatting. We had to waive at them to get their attention for anything. The manager was really nice, but seemed to have left right after we were seated. I have been told it's great for business lunches, so maybe I'll try it again for that, but not dinner.

It has been a while since I ate at Koi, but I had remembered it being excellent. Those days have passed. The sushi used to be extraordinary, and now it's just extra ordinary. Our waiter was wonderful, but the snootiness of the host staff was just not necessary, especially when a restaurant is past its expiration date. When half the restaurant is empty and Open Table is offering an extra 100 points to reserve at your place, you should probably give your customers the table they prefer, especially when it is the same size as the table where you insist they sit for reasons unknown.
Girls Night Out
They gave us the worst table in the room when there were several empty booths...definite turn off ...but the service and food made up for it. I will definitely go back but maybe I will put my reservation under Beyonce to get a good table
Wonderful food, but painfully loud
This beautiful restaurant offers unusual and exciting taste treats found nowhere else. Each dish seems more exquisite than the last. But the noise - just awful!

Great food, fun ambiance and amazing service. Shared crispy rice with tuna tartare, black cod, and calamari salad with a friend. Banana spring rolls for dessert were worth the calories! Can't wait to go back.
Good enough a place if it's convenient for you and food is good enough. But service can be quite slow, seating area is crowded, a bit noises when full, decor could be refreshed for a business lunch spot, etc. I wouldn't come here as a place with friends... Just not that kind of spot and price point is quite geared toward corporates with expedient turnaround of tables.

Yummy food -- nice varied menu with interesting choices Server was efficient Cost is quite pricey - we had no liquor and for 2 people with tip was $120
Excellent in every way
Took my husband here prior to a concert at The Garden. It was his birthday celebration and well worth it!! Excellent on every level. Hostess staff, wait staff, food, drinks.....all amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and service
This is my boyfriend's favorite restaurant so naturally we came here for his birthday. Loved the food and the service was great. Only thing is, the restaurant wasn't full and the food came really fast so it felt a bit rushed. This usually is a good thing but we were trying to savor the moment. As always though, great service and great ambience.
We had a wonderful meal at Koi
We loved our lunch at Koi. Everything was just delicious and came out looking a picture of something delicious. We loved everything we had and we tasted appetizers and food that wasn't sushi and rolls (and they looked so good too). My remark was I could eat my way through the entire menu. Everything was just wonderful. The service was excellent as well. They were attentive but not overbearing. All in all, I can't wait to go back and enjoy Koi again.

Very good service, nice view of the bryant park, terrible food - the famous crispy rice is hardened rice that gets stuck to the teeth (couples if you order this make sure you have toothpicks and floss with you, otherwise do not attempt kissing!!!), calamari salad is totally soggy, double tuna roll is the only barely acceptable item, the others you'll have to pay me to eat again. WAY overpriced.

Truly enjoyed it. The clientele, service, the hostesses, the attentive manager, The atmosphere, location, price point and of course the food. Will return.
Went here looking for non-red-meat alternatives, and the menu did not disappoint. Standout was one of the specials, cod laquered in a miso sauce on a bed of spinach, one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. Staff was notably attentive and polite. We got there a little on the late side, so noise level was dying down. Room is beautiful.

One of our favorite restaurants. We go whenever we can when in New York (or LA!).
Eating out with a Gluten allergy can be tricky but this place went out of there way to ensure a gluten free dining experience without any hesitation. Delicious food & awesome service beginning to end!! Would definitely return & recommend!!!

Simply overpriced with very average sushi that you could get for half the price at most sushi places in the city. We literally struggled to find the eel in one of the rolls featuring eel. If you go you are going for the atmosphere.

Tasteless and lacking "value for money"
Our biggest restaurant disappointment during our last visit to New York. The share food concept is lovely but at Koi the food was way too tasteless. Almost all dishes we had (for example the Koi Crispy Rice, the Lobster Tacos and the Sweet Chili Shrimp Roll) lacked the "punch" and taste experience one wants in this kind of place. Some chili, some lime, just anything would have lifted and boosted the flavors. Our only highlights were the Kobe Wagyu Carpaccio with shitake and the desserts. Service was friendly and the place has a pretty cool interior, but for this kind of money (and with the reviews we had read beforehand) we expected much more. And one detail regarding value for money - 9 dollars for a double espresso? That's just plain robbery, no matter how good the coffee is...
Food are amazing here.

GREAT FOOD CHOICES
This restaurant is a GREAT FIND! The food was delicious, the service impeccable.
Cool vibe & inventive sushi
Must have shared plates - The Koi Crispy Rice - fried sushi rice topped with spicy tuna; and the Seared Tuna with jalapeño and garlic crisps. The first being decadent and the second light, tender and bursting with flavor. We had the sushi special to share also, which were 5 pieces -- I don't remember what they were, but they didn't last on the table long enough! We also got an order of the lobster tacos and one of the sushi tacos - both great and very different - lobster ones were lighter, with mango and yuzu. The vibe was cool -- low lighting, beautifully done dining room, lively conversations and crowd made for a very enjoyable evening. Definitely will be back.
Great place for sushi in the heart of NYC!
Great place to go. We loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Wish I could dine at KOI more often. Food and Service is ALWAYS good.
the food was amazing , we enjoyed our dinner so much. A pitty that you cannot eat more different things at once to experience all the wonderful taste
This is a great restaurant in a great location. The food is awesome. Even if you don't like sushi, there is something on the menu for you. Everything was a home run
Such a good experience
We had a nice table in the lounge area overlooking Briant park. Food was delicious, sushi very fresh and innovative. We will come back or try the one in soho
Another divine meal!!
We've been to Koi-Bryant Park many times and we're never disappointed! The restaurant is lovely; warm and inviting with a lot of atmosphere. The service is fabulous and the food is absolutely divine! Everything we had was superb! We especially love the crispy rice with spicy tuna! YUM!!! Thanks and we'll be back, for sure!
The food was fantastic and the service was stellar! I would highly recommend this place to everyone - those who love sushi as well as those looking to try something new.
Still great after 10 years!
KOI still delivers delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere by far it exceeding the other Asian Fusion restaurants. Do yourself a favor and use OpenTable and reserve a table at KOI. Make sure to try the Crispy Rice, Spicy Seared Albacore, and Creamy Rock Shrimp to start!!!
Food was amazing!! A great find right across from Bryant Park.
Bryant Park Gem
This was my third trip to KOI Bryant Park and it continues to exceed expectations. Fresh, top quality sushi and sashimi with exceptional saki
Definitely Coming Back
I went here with for a client lunch and must say that the service and food was amazing. All the food is great to share. I definitely will be coming back.
One of the best rainbow rolls I've ever had! In fact we ordered a second one...
the food was very fresh and very good as usual but the noise level at night was much higher than at lunchtime. Still, great for a business dinner.
Easy and good
great atmosphere waiters/service to be desired great food very reasonable
