Knife & Fork Inn Ratings and Reviews
Knife & Fork is our AC fav along with Dock's. Dinner was excellent. Flounder with crab and the Cowboy rib eye were both enjoyed. Look forward to dining here again and often!

Amazing!! Food was superb as was the service, decor and ambiance. Felt right at home with my 2 pre teen daughters as I did on another visit with my boyfriend.
We walked right down the boardwalk from our hotel. We got seated right away the drinks were cold and the food was great. I got the Flounder pulled fresh from the ocean and it was amazing!
Table for four
Table for four and all four agreed on the 5 star rating. That doesn't happen too often. personally it was about my seventh or eight time dinning at The Knife and Fork and I have always been equally impressed every time. My wife loves their wine glasses and gets 4 new ones every visit (we pay for them) If you haven't been you should go. take it from a Fatguy
The food was phenomenal!
The food was phenomenal!
I had the whole lobster, my friend had the pork chop. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly!
Food was great, cocktails were great, service was great.
My husband and I thought we would try stepping out of the casino prior to a show and we are thrilled we did. We enjoyed an appetizer and cocktails at the bar prior to dinner- and followed with an absolutely delicious meal with attentive and friendly service. Our filets were cooked exactly as ordered and the lobster thermidor was presented in the shell (nice touch). All courses were generous portions. We will definitely return!
The Knife and Fork Inn is the Gem of Atalantic City, it has history, great staff and exceptional food. A must go if anyone is in Atlantic City!!!!

The food was amAzing! The steak melting in your mouth and the lobster risotto was to die for! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in AC. What a lovely surprise this place was!
I made a reservation for a Birthday Dinner for my husband. I requested a full size table, in a nice corner, and had flowers sent, everything was handled as requested. We did not have to wait to be seated ,our table was waiting for us when we arrived. We had a wonderful dinner, food was fresh, delicious, and ended with a special piece of cake, with a chocolate happy birthday sign and candle. We were extremely pleased with our waitress, she was wonderful!! I dont know her name, but the resturant should know who she is, her daughter is in nursing school . She was very pleasant, and attentive,as if we were the only couple she was serving. She made sure our dinner was perfect. Thankyou!

A nice restaurant outside the casinos. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. They have a nice atmosphere and a good wine list. My wife had the scallops and I had the beef and reef. We both really enjoyed our meals. You won't be disappointed.
My friend & I went for dinner Monday night. We were greeted graciously by hostess who asked where we would like to sit. I wanted upstairs but was closed. Bar noisy so we opted for back room by kitchen window. Servers were attentive & super knowledgeable about the menu. Food great as well. We will return soon!
Why ever eat at a casino restaurant with The Knife and Fork so convenient? Service remains excellent, with well-trained waitstaff and Ryan offering his time to anyone who has questions on the tremendous wine list. The list covers all price points exceptionally well and never disappoints. It also boasts one of the smallest markups you will ever see - perhaps 50% over retail instead of 2-3 times like most high end steakhouses or casino haunts. The oysters with jalapeno sorbet is always a great start, clean and succulent. Try the warm spinach salad and don't pass up the smoked black pepper bacon appetizer - wow! The steaks are well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Dessert, although optional, doesn't skip a beat either!
Classic & Current
Whether you're looking for classic or current cuisine, the Knife & Fork is the go-to place to enjoy a great evening of fine dining in a distinctive atmosphere. The service is attentive but relaxed with staff that makes you feel welcomed.
We (group of 4) came for a birthday dinner and we were more than impressed. The food was absolutely outstanding. I ordered the beef and reef and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The table got a variety of dinners including the salmon and a lobster thermador...again, out of this world. We visited the bar a few minutes before our reservations and, although small, it was a great atmosphere. The drinks were made perfectly too!!! The staff is very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend going here to anyone I meet.
Our own little secret !!!!

THE place in AC
Nowhere I prefer in AC to start a night out with the fellas than the Knife & Fork. True old school, great bar, excellent service and good food. Steaks are great - as is the wine list. You can't go wrong to start a great night.
Knife and Fork Inn
The restaurant was beyond words. The only way to describe it is by saying Awesome!!
We picked the restaurant while on vacation in AC thinking it would be a walk down AC memory lane and we liked the menu. What a great place! The server was great and told us the whole history of the restaurant and the owners. We were equally bowled over by the food. The Duck Confit in particular was worth the trip. Make sure you have reservations. it was very busy on a Friday night
Very well run . Had a few signature drinks at the bar before dinner and the were wonderful and priced very fair. Food was outstanding and cooked to perfection. I cannot remember our servers names sorry to say. The two ladies were fantastic and so informative. It was my wife's birthday and they brought out a awesome cupcake that I requested. I truly adore places that keep true the standards of the old days.
Don't You Forget About Me
The bartender was amazing - even though she was up to her elbows in clientele she was ON IT. We had a nice wait and cocktail while our table was prepared for our reservation - no worries! The seating location was less than desirable- I was curious whether or not they shoved us behind the second floor bar on purpose since my fiance and I look so young. It took over 10 minutes to be greeted by a waitress - Holly was one - the other who showed up didn't tell us her name and I didn't think to ask :-/ That was also less than desirable... And then there was a waiter who must have been on a personal-level with the table of 4 next to us. He was comfortable enough to come over at least 3 times to have a boisterous conversation with the 4-top... at least i got an extended view of his derriere. The food saved the service. it was phenomenal and we didn't mind waiting a somewhat lengthy time between soups, salads, and entree because it gave my fiance and i time to talk and make room for the next plate. Overall a solid 7 experience. Get your staff to match the price range and we have an exceptional restaurant :-)

Everything was top notch. I would highly recommend. Excellent wine list, generous portions and everything was fresh and tasty.
History and service
The Knife and Fork is our favorite place to eat. It has been around for a long time and has been frequented by the famous and infamous of Atlantic City. That is secondary to the quality and friendliness of the wait staff. They are well versed in the history of the restaurant and the people that have dined there. The food is delicious and varied. It is always a pleasure to dine here.
Good food and service, great atmosphere.
Good food and service, great atmosphere.
Amazing food and a must eat
Amazing food in Atlantic City. I ordered the fish with the crab meat stuffing, mushroom, tomato and asparagus. It was fantastic.
service was excelent, ambience also excelent, the food was perfectly cooked and presented very skillfully, portions a little small for myself but I eat a lot more than adverage, overall I recomend this resturant as four star
Great food, great building, great restaurant.
Beautiful historic building! Great location in AC. The decor is old school but charming. Varied menu with something for everyone. Food was prepared very well and everything was fresh. Great backup to Doc's!
Memorable time at Knife and Fork
We celebrated my dad's 65th birthday here. The appetizers were phenomenal. We had the lobster spring rolls, shrimp cocktail, & Kobe beef sliders. Our entrées were exceptional. I had the Filet Oscar, my boyfriend had the Rib Eye, & my dad had the pork ribs. Our deserts were scrumptious too, Banana Cream Pie & Vanilla Creme Brûlée. They also brought a small decadent cupcake out for my father & sang happy birthday to him. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the mood for steak & chops. They also have a great selection of seafood dishes.
Diamond in the rough
Lovely restaurant with English motif, excellent food, fantastic service, old world charm. We will definitely revisit this diamond restaurant. Thank you and keep up the good work.
change the choice of music
for me i found the piped in music intrusive. The ambiance called for soft background music not loud, hard to speak over.

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and unfortunately there was a table of 5 in the middle who were loud and obnoxious. The manager had to speak to them. Our meal was not quiet, peaceful and perfect
I took my husband there for his birthday and we both enjoyed the experience. Would definitely go there again.
Not To Be Missed
Knife & Fork is consistently one of our favorite restaurants (along with their sister Dock's Oyster House). We started with Caesar salad and an order of fried green beans. I had one of the juiciest, most flavorful pork chops that I have ever had served over mashed sweet potatoes with bacon, yes bacon!!!! My husband enjoyed a Cajun haddock that he said was very delicious, served over cheesy grits. . And of course, we ordered the beet chips with our dinner. One of these days, we will leave room for more than just coffee for dessert. As always, service was top-notch (attentive without being intrusive). We are already looking forward to returning.
My family enjoyed my birthday dinner
Sparkling wine was great. The arugula salad was yummy and quite large enough for a family of 4. It included sopressata which prevented my vegetarian wife from partaking. I loved the duck confit. It was a large appetizer. The tuna and branzino were excellent as was the salmon special with a brown sugar and walnut topping. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. I was very pleased with the servers and the atmosphere was comfortable and not too loud. We got to dine on the ground floor which is unusual in my experience. We will be back. The meal was pricey, but good value in my view.
Always a memorable experience!
Everything was amazing from the cocktails to the food to the service! We will definitely be back!
