Kimberton Inn Ratings and Reviews
Made early dining time (5:30). Arrived a little early, asked for and was escorted to bar area. Beverages were very generous. Escorted to table at appropriate time. Dining staff - professional, courteous and very knowledgeable of wine/ menu items. Wife ordered 'Tenderloin Tail' and I the 'Crab Cake'. Both done perfectly. Would highly recommend the Kimberton Inn. Pricey, but well worth every penny. Attire is dressy casual to coat and tie. Will definitely return.
Dinner at The Kimberton
It's unfortunate that your rating system only goes to five stars. Five stars are fine for food and value but the service and ambiance truly deserve six or seven stars for excellence. After dinner and dessert, I always find that I'm not ready to leave but would just like to sit and enjoy being in such a beautiful old charming building. I am always impressed by the service. Everyone is pleasant and well trained beyond expectations.
Never a disappointment
The Kimberton Inn never disappoints. Service is impeccable, food is perfectly presented and tasty, and it's quiet enough that you can have a conversation with your friends. We will return again and again and recommend it highly.

Everything was excellent. The soups, the tenderloin, the duck, and the amazing coffee creme brulee.
Love the brunch
There is not a better brunch around, our server could have been more attentive but this was the 1st time I ever had any complaints.
It is always a pleasure to go to Kimberton Inn for any occasion. The ambience, food and service is wonderful. Love their brunch.
The Kimberton Inn is one of the few excellent restaurants in Southeastern PA. There are many casual dining spots, but when it comes to special occassions, the Kimberton is the place to go. Excellent food, well-trained staff, charming ambiance. You can't go wrong by choosing the Kimberton Inn.

We always recommend Kimberton Inn as the best in the area. Never disappoints!
My wife and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary at the place where we got married...The Kimberton Inn! Just a great place to have a nice dinner, and the food was absolutely amazing(the service was really good too). Can't wait to go back!

We've been to the Kimberton Inn many times and have never been disappointed. The food and the service are always superb.
Holiday Hot Spot
This place always delivers. The unflappable staff performs a flawless ballet especially on holidays, when tables are full and families are seeking that great meal together in a historic Chester County inn. The holiday additions to the regular menu are wonderfully coordinated, and there are choices aplenty.
FABULOUS AS ALWAYS!
Our dinner was AMAZING! Ou appetizers were SO GOOD, the filets were cooked to our request (which is not always the case when we dine out in general), vegetables were very FRESH and dessert was SUPERB! We have NEVER had a bad meal at The Kimberton Inn. We highly recommend it for a romantic night out, a special occasion, a family dinner, etc. It truly is a Neighborhood GEM!

Best brunch menu ! Love having a candle lit brunch with the fireplaces going. The service is amazing and the food is just as wonderful ! Truly a great dining experience.
Excellent outing for a group of 12
We had a large group of 12 people for dinner attending a kick-off meeting for an upcoming 6 week work project. The Kimberton Inn was recommended to us by our Admin who is local and told us this place is wonderful. She was correct. The wine list was very good with a nice blend of wines, the food was exquisite with beautiful presentation. The service was excellent, and the noise, well, most of that was from us, as 12 people were trying to talking at once. I and the other 11 people would highly recommend the Kimberton Inn to anyone. It is a beautiful older building that is well maintained and the price is just right for an enjoyable night out. I will visit again!
This place delivers!
We met some old friends for diner, who used to live in the area. When we decided to have dinner at the end of one of their visits home, they asked if we could please dine at the Kimberton Inn. They said that it was always a favorite of theirs, combining some of the best food and service around, in a wonderful Chester County Inn. Once again were not disappointed.
Refined, Relaxed, and Always a Superb Experience
The Kimberton Inn is consistently not only a great restaurant but a great experience. From the moment one enters this beautiful historic building, the attention of the owner to every detail is evident. Every part of the experience is both refined and relaxed, a difficult combination to achieve but one that is woven into the fabric of the Kimberton Inn. Real wood burning fireplaces, real candle lanterns, an historic yet immaculately clean dining layout, and one of the coolest, most intimate bars I've ever been to (and those who know me know that's saying a LOT!) never fail to make the entire evening a memorable experience. Creating and maintaining such a unique and wonderful establishment requires unique and wonderful people, of course, and the at Kimberton Inn staff is truly top-tier. I am always amazed how Jeff the owner seems to collect the nicest, coolest, most fun, and yet most professional wait-staff and bar-staff to be had. The Kimberton Inn is truly unique and I feel lucky to be able to experience its ambiance whenever I can.
Great Food at a fair price !
When we had the Seared sirloin Scaloppine as an appetizer, it melded in your mouth . Next time I will have this as my entry. When my wife matched the Dom de La Cadette Chardonnay from France with the chefs Hazelnut crusted chicken breast with Kennett Square mushroom, the meal was to die for! I loved the dry aged rib eye w/ prime rib dry rub, matched with the house Cabernet Sauvignon. The Kimberton Inn is on our best kept secret list for that quite dinner for two.
I've never been to the Kimberton Inn so we went for my husbands birthday. They accommodated 1 extra person and the food was completely fabulous!
I recently moved to the area from New York City and it has taken a while to find a local restaurant that I can give high marks to. My experience at the Kimberton Inn was great. From check in to check out the service was extremely courteous and professional. The wait staff was competent, friendly yet not overbearing in any way. There was tons of room between tables and I can't remember hearing any conversation from other tables. The food was excellent. My dinner companion who was visiting from NYC said that his filet mignon was among the best he ever had. The Kimberton Inn is now my go to place when family and friends are in town.

The food was excellent. We both very much enjoyed our meal. We had a baby with us and they were very accommodating of that. We went for the brunch and it was lovely.
I normally enjoy Kimberton Inn but this time was different. We were given a very small table in the main hallway from the entrance to the bar. It seemed as though there were plenty of bigger tables pre set for two but we got the small one with a lot of traffic. The host was friendly but it took about 15-20 minutes for our waitress to arrive. It was early and they weren't that busy. All in all my filet was ok but my girlfriend's pork was very dry.
Always a nice night
Always enjoy the Inn. The food is always great. Service is what you would expect from a high end restaurant. The fire places burning is wonderful, general feel is great. Food and drink is on the pricey side. We had a 267 bill for 4 people with moderate drinks for appetizer, meal and three deserts.
Wonderful menu & ambiance...Amazing experience
Truly wonderful menu, amazing service...extensive wine list and unique atmosphere. Kimberton Inn is gem in the burbs worth visiting often!
Excellent service and the food was very good. We'll definitely eat there again.
Valentine's weekend treat
We really enjoyed our recent visit over Valentine's Day weekend. The food was excellent, portion sizes generous, and the wine list impressive. We were pleased that when we asked for a wine recommendation, our sommelier took the time to visit our table, and make a recommendation based on our different tastes. We were here once before years ago, but we won't wait so long to visit again!
While previous visits were awesome, this latest visit (2/13/16) was a disappointment. We arrived for our 5:30 p.m. reservation and were seated immediately. There were only two other couples seated in the dining room. We gave our drink order and dinner order almost immediately. Gradually more diners were seated. We finished our "before-dinner" drinks before our salad was served. We became concerned when we watched others who had arrived much later than we being served their entrees. And then they finished their entrees. We were offered "more rolls," with the reassurances that our dinner would be served soon. We made an effort to reserve the remaining wine in our bottle to have with our dinner which arrived after 7:00 p.m. We offered no complaints, but were offered a complimentary dessert to share.

We dined as a party of 6 tonight for a birthday dinner. Everything was very good. I love the liver, scallopini, and duck. Kimberton Inn does very well with traditional American fair so if you go stick to these type dishes and you will not be disappointed.
We dined at the Kimberton Inn to celebrate my husbands birthday. We have children so it was also date night for us. We were upstairs right next to the fireplace and it was wonderful. Very romantic and intimate. The service was superb. She was attentive without being intrusive. I ordered an appetizer as my main course and the server was quick to inform me it was a small Portion. I appreciated the heads up. I was not a fan of the dish and the server quickly removed it and asked me if I wanted something else. She also removed it from our bill. I would definitely recommend the Kimberton Inn for special Occasions. I do think it's a little expensive for small children and I certainly appreciated the lack of kids.
Ultra good, Ultra consistent
Kimberton Inn is on my short list of superb quality restaurants to visit when I want to be assured an exquisite dining experience. I have several "favorites" on the menu and the attention to detail is apparent in every aspect of the meal. I have been dining here for years and am always amazed at the consistency of my experience. Keep up the great work!
We had a relaxing and delicious Sunday brunch at the Kimberton Inn. Food was delicious and because you order off the menu it is totally relaxing. No up and down.
Been wanting to try this place for years and was really disappointed. Good things: Ambience, our server, and the people we were with. Bad things: Got a martini at the bar and the glass was 2/3 full. Ordered a 2nd and it took at least 10 mins to get and was about 3/4 full, maybe. Wasnt seated till about 45 mins past our reservation time. Dinner was very pricey for the qty you received. My cup of chowder was maybe 1/2 full. My caesar salad was about 4 fork fulls. I had the crabcake and got 3 cottage fries a burnt lemon wedge ,a crabcake that was nice size but came with maybe a teaspoon of sauce on the side. Asked for more sauce but it never came. My one friend got the 4 oz lobster tail and it was done in 3 bites and over cooked. Thank God for a 2nd basket of rolls and dessert . All 4 of us were still hungry. Food delivery was also slow between salad and entree, 1/2 hour or more. Wine was also overpriced. $10.00 bottle of wine was going for $50. Overall for what we got for $200 a couple it just wasnt worth it. We dont mind paying the price but the return just wasnt there in quantity and quality! Sorry!!
Service and ambience excellent. Menu was ala-carte. The portions small and overpriced. Left HUNGRY and poorer.

Best food, service, overall experience I've found in the region. Go on a cold night and get warmed by the fire or the live piano music coming from the little bar. We didn't want to leave.
Wonderful dining experience
Despite a busy night (pre Blizzard) , we were seated before our reservation time at a lovely table. The bread was warm and delicious; it was good to have flatbread and hummus as well as regular bread and butter. The lamb chops were amazing; excellent flavor and perfectly cooked. The "Best Salad" was great...maybe not truly the best salad I've ever had, but it's right up there. The salmon was delicious. Chocolate mousse was nice and dark, which was perfect. The level of service did not match the excellence of the food or the ambiance. Perhaps it was because it was very busy, but we were either ignored or rushed. Despite that, the food was amazing enough that I will likely go back.
Great dinner, everything was exceptional.
Had the calf's liver and my girlfriend had a porkchop. The lobster bisque was very good, the cocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. Great way to spend a celebration dinner.
First Rate Suburban Dining
The Kimberton Inn continues to set the standard for me for fine dining. The service and food are always first rate. This past Saturday night was no exception. We took close friends there to celebrate the holidays and a promotion for my friend. While there was a group celebration also taking place, we had a quite intimate dining experience away from the group party which met our needs. The food was fantastic with many locally sources specials to choose from. A great location with great food and service!
Special Occassion or not
Kimberton Inn always delivers a special evening! The food is wonderful, ambience lovely, relaxing and a luxury given the loud, fast paced trendy restaurants. Kimberton Inn is the benchmark for class, quality and cuisine throughout! Try the seasonal berry martini- lovely! Calves liver, pork chop and crabcake meals were outstanding. Lobster Bisque is rich and decadent. Jeff and team deliver an exceptional experience every time.
Top 5 Anywhere
Excellent food. Great service by Teresa. Fair prices. Terrific ambiance.
Best restaurant in Chester County.
This is a destination restaurant for Philadelphians. The food never disappoints.
We have been enjoying Kimberton Inn for years. Never disappointed.
