A full menu with some great seafood. Best value in Burlington!
Our family has been eating at Jake's for over twenty years and we have always enjoyed the food, the staff, the atmosphere. S0me of us love the oysters - fresh, tasty, terrific - some of us like the dry cracked ribs, the chowder, the fish dishes - no matter what, the meals are always good. And it's close to home for us.
Very pricey for lunch but good.
With the generous tip for very good food and service, it was pricey for lunch. Had a great time. Its noisy just because of all the people that were there. Not much can be done about that. Its a very popular place and we would definitely go back again.

I have visited Jakes a number of times, so much so that I tell my friends that it is my favourite dining place in Burlington
Nice but noisy.
The food was very good and the service was excellent, but it was just too noisy for conversation.
Great Happy Hour Specials!
We went in for dinner and found the specials on the Happy Hour menu were amazing, got to try several great appetizers. We then ordered Fish and Chips but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Food was very good, would go back and recommend to anyone. Happy Hour Menu was good from 4 - 6 PM
Great for birthdays or any occasion!
We love Jake's! This was in celebration of my wife's birthday and we had excellent time per usual.
We enjoyed the fish fry on good friday
our first time, looking forward to our next visit. Fish and chips was great, we will visit on another Friday soon!
Awesome Restaurant!!! 10+++
Excellent restaurant and great food. The king crab was a little expensive for the portion size compared to other restaurants but otherwise everything was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.
Great food and service as always. Our go to place for a date night
food was fabulous!!
whale size pieces of halibut were outstanding...all of our plates were emptied in spite of generous portions
We had fish and it was excellent . The server was accommodating and attentive. We wanted a different side and no problem. The toffee pudding was perfect. We were seated in front of the fireplace and it was a really nice time celebrating my husband's birthday!
We love the seafood at Jake's....fresh and great choice. Good value for the money too. The staff are very friendly
This seafood eatery is well appointed and we enjoy the high energy ambiance. Our server suggested the oyster special . We also dined on the steak, salmon and the crab. We sipped a Bordeaux and a stout .

Tast of Burlington
We enjoyed the Taste of Burlington menu @ $40/person. It was great value and very delicious! Will definitely be back in the future.
Food was great. Loved the selection. Great atmoshere. I was very impressed. A good fun time.
They know how to prepare seafood here
I brought a good friend here for lunch and requested the table in front of the fire. So, on a cold day, the ambience was great. We did not wait long for the waitress to arrive. He ordered the fish tacos with Boston clam chowder. He loved every bite of both dishes. I had the Bronzed Tuna Super Food Salad. The tuna was done perfectly, seared lightly on all sides but raw on the inside. The salad was very good and enough to satisfy. This was not my usual kind of lunch choice but I would definitely order it again. It is now one of my favourite places for lunch or dinner.

Arrived early and waited at the bar. Lovely cold IPA beer with a half dozen Malpeque oysters. Amazing array of sauces for the shellfish plus fresh grated horseradish. Went into dinner with comfortable seats next to fireplace. Well-appointed menu but we both settled on the filet mignon medallions with crusted blue cheese. We split our accompanying mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. The filets were served a perfect medium rare, hot, and render enough to cut with a fork. For desert we split a toffee sauce cake with vanilla ice cream. Just the right amount of food in a pleasant setting. Much better than chain steakhouses. I'll be back.
The food was good, value seemed right, service was excellent, I liked it
Perfect night out!
I absolutely love Jakes! Oysters were amazing and I loved the selection of sauces. That chutney and fresh horseradish was sooo yummy!
We went for dinner Saturday night. Drove in from St. Catharines. First time for me, second time for husband. Food was excellent. Restaurant was busy of course (Valentine's dinner) but food came quickly, service great. Calamari was amazing. Shrimp coctail extremely fresh. Caesar salad excellent and I ordered shrimp and scallops and husband ordered crab legs. Everything was wonderful. We are planning to go back for a birthday celebration in March. Well worth the drive and will tell our friends! Thank you!

Girls get together
Great place to visit with friends, great mussels and atmosphere. Wait staff was so nice and the great guy that met us at the door even took our coats when we entered and brought them to us when he saw we were leaving! We felt special Thank you
Best meal in town!
Great food, great staff and reasonable prices and the owners works there. You're not hustled at Jakes like the corporate boxes.

Excellent Dinner - Great food and service. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Thanks.
We have been here 3 or 4 times in the past couple of years, and have always been more than pleased with the quality of food, service, value and overall dining experience. This last visit was no exception. Oysters were fresh and delicious, as were our main courses - beef tenderloin and seafood linguine. Wine was reasonably priced. Our server was excellent and we walked away feeling we will definitely return and will be happy to recommend Jake's grill to others.
Not too pleased.
Shocked by the small quantity of food for the dollar value. While quality was good. We were not served what we ordered. Would not go here again. The birthday dinner didn't cut it.
Quieter than usual when we arrived so were seated quickly and served promptly. My wife chose a shrimp & scallop dinner which she thoroughly enjoyed and devoured quickly. I had a taste of one of her scallops and it was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very tasty too. I ordered the pan seared Pickerel and was somewhat surprised when it came to see 5 small filet pieces. I grew up on a river fishing for pickerel (Walleye) and am used to having one large pan-fried filet whether at home or in restaurants and it will have a nice slightly crispy outside and beautifully flakey and tasty interior. These little filets were cooked, but because of their size, I found them soft and much less tasty than I am used to. A disappointment since we have eaten at Jakes for many years and it is or "go to place" for seafood. We will be back as this is a rare occasion when a meal was not everything we expected.

Food looked good but despite the ingredients find food rather tasteless. Not a memorable meal. Oysters were small but guess maybe the season.
oysters and main course were great, however the rice was too salty.

Great location. Friendly atmosphere. Great food. I love the spare ribs and baked potato. Have dined here many times and have always had a great meal and enjoyed the atmosphere.
My wife and I went to Jake's to celebrate our anniversary. It's the only place around to get good oysters. We weren't disappointed. The food was great. We'll be going back. Hopefully before our next anniversary.
My girlfriend and I went to Jake's for dinner for our anniversary, I used opentable to book our reservation online. In a box at the end of the reservation page was a place for notes, I stated that it was our anniversary and if they could do anything to make it a bit more romantic it would be much appreciated. Upon arriving we were greeted with smiles and followed the hostess to our seats, which were right in front of the fire place with no tables too close to us. I had the mussels, and she had the chicken penne, both were absolutely delicious. After our meal and a couple drinks we were waiting for the bill to arrive, but a desert came instead(free of charge). I attribute the great table and desert to the opentable comments I made about our anniversary. Jake's did an outstanding job. We will be back very soon. Thanks to everyone who made our night!
Enjoying Jakes for 20 years.
Great food, service, ambiance, host. I've never been let down.
Fun Atmosphere & Great Food
Our server was energetic, helpful, and fun. She was able to help the non-seafood eaters at our table select a meal while gently poking fun at their tastes. The decor is rustic and unique. I liked that the restaurant/bar was small and warm. We were in a group of 7. The noise level was too loud to speak with the whole table, but not too loud to speak with your neighbours. Great seafood and oysters. My friends loved their steaks. I will return to sit on the bar side next time. Awesome service, but not overly fast, which suited us well as we were not in a rush and were trying to catch up.
YOUR DEPENDABLE RESTAURANT
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PLACES THAT YOU CAN COUNT ON GOOD FOOD, GOOD AND FRIENDLY SERVERS, REASONABLE PRICES AND MOST OF ALL NOT FROZEN FOOD FROM TORONTO ...HEATED UP. IT'S OUR GO-TO PLACE.
