Everything was delicious and the service impeccable.
We've been to IM Tapas about 4-5 times, each with excellent results. Ignore the location (a nondescript strip mall). It's the food and service that are top notch. Beware... the tapas bill can add up quickly as you attempt to taste as varied a menu as possible, but it's well worth it as you and your table mates share and comment on each taste sensation. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable (One in our group is a celiac and they were able to point out which items would and would not work for her.). It was a delicious, fun evening! Everyone in our group gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Nice spot for tapas. Smelled a little funky inside when walking in but food and service was good. Pretty pricey.
Another great meal with friends
Our great friends from Canada joined us and we treated them to another great tapas dinner with a very special wine. The cheese plate was to die for and octopus extra special.
Want something different in Naples?
Don't be fooled by the exterior of this fine Naples restaurant. Venture inside and you will instantly feel the warmth and charm of a Spanish restaurant. Everything our group ordered was enjoyed. We especially like the artichoke hearts stuffed with Serrano and Manchego....delicious! The restaurant is off the beaten path but well worth the trip.
Best find yet !
The minute we walked in the small front , we felt welcome and comfortable . We were greeted promptly and opted to dine at the bar because it looked so inviting . We received excellent service , suggestions and wine selections . The food was wonderful and reasonable . The atmosphere was quiet yet not stuffy , perfect ! It is now my favorite in Naples !

Third visit and still impressed. Food is consistently delicious. Favorites: mussels, artichoke hearts, rice pudding. We will be back.
Hidden gem in Naples
This is a truly pleasant restaurant. It's convenient to downtown but just far enough away to be off the tourist circuit and more of a local's place. Excellent tapas--authentic but with a dash of originality as well. Ambiance is cozy, service is both friendly and professional--our meal was perfectly paced. Good wine list, mostly Spanish. Way better value than the clip-joints on Fifth Avenue or Third Street South. Been there three times and never been disappointed. The garlic soup is a must!
One of Our Favorite Places
One of our favorite places to take people, especially people who are new to the concept of tapas. Excellent Spanish dishes and Spanish wines. Have to come at least once every time we are in Naples.
Authentic tapas and pintxos – delicious! Gracious service, excellent wines (incl. by the glass).

Just like the streets of Toledo, Madrid, or Barcelona... It's all here. Loved it!!
Our second time eating here during our annual winter break from Boston. We have never had a bad dish here. The room is dark and quiet with carefully selected jazz or 60s music in the background. Tables and chairs are a bit toward the Spartan end of the spectrum, but not uncomfortable. This time we "went for it" and had the baby eels and iberico ham which are priced daily. Both were fabulous and memorable and worth the splurge. We had a a white and a red wine by the glass. The choices are 90% Spanish. We have a wine cellar and don't often like the wine selections by the glass at most places but our very knowledgeable waiter guided us to two very very nice ones. The squash blossoms were exceptionally delicious and very nicely presented. The black cod (fish special) and the spinach croquets were very good as well. The cheese plate was a great way to finish with a glass of Pedeo Jimenez. All 5 cheeses were excellent and we had not tried any previously which is saying something. There are many tapas on the menu that we wished we could have tried but we will have to wait till next year. Highly recommended.
I M Tapas is UNBELIEVABLE!
My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. We are in the restaurant business ourselves, and appreciate authentic, quality food, that you can tell the chef put their heart into! Every bite is a treat! Trust me, this place is a GEM!
Fantastic experience and wonderful food. ...
Fantastic experience and wonderful food. The sangria was delicious as was everything else we tried. This place is a real find in Naples. It's close to 5th Avenue but because it's not on the main drag, it's quiet and easy to get a reservation. We will go every time we go to Naples.
Another wonderful evening
The service was just as good as always. Food was very, very, good and we branched out from our standbys. Great value and time. We will be back again.
This is the true restaurant find in Naples!
We had several different tapas and everything we had was absolutely delicious! The stuffed artichokes, mussels and elk special were among the best tapas we've ever had. We went on a Tuesday evening and were surprised to be one of only two tables filled. What a tragedy--this restaurant should be packed every night! We are foodies visiting from Minneapolis, a city known for its great restaurants and multiple James Beard award winners. If this restaurant was located there it would be a tough reservation to get. Residents of Naples need to realize the gem of a restaurant they have in I M Tapas and turn it into the hot spot it deserves to be!
YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO GO TO IM TAPAS
It may not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. It may not draw big crowds, but it ought to. Isabel and Mary put together absolutely wonderful dishes that you really don't want to stop ordering. They take great care with their ingredients and preparation that you will be sure to appreciate and the server Gabriel adds much to the experience. It's not inexpensive if you indulge yourself, but the value is very good. One last thing: if the elk tenderloin is on the menu, get it!
A little jewel
We love this restaurant that has the feel of being in a small restaurant in Madrid.
AGAIN AND AGAIN
I M Tapas is one of the few restaurants in Naples that we return to again and again. Naples has so many restaurants that we usually enjoy the variety and play the field. But there are a few that we return several times during the season, I M Tapas, Bha Bha, Tulios, Albertos, and Zen Asian Barbeque fall into that category. Each has unique food and good service.

Food was excellent, but service was poor. Wait staff blamed it on the kitchen, but other tables were getting served more timely. They weren't that busy when we arrived and placed our first order. It took at least 45 minutes to get served 2 salads. It ruined the experience for us.
We will go back. The service and food were amazing. Made my Valentines day a great one
A wonderful evening
We had a wonderful evening with excellent food and a good bottle of wine. A little hard to find but well worth the hunt.
We have consistently loved having dinner here. The other evening we tried their mussels and they were some of the best we have ever had! Our server, Missel (sp) was simply wonderful with a through knowledge of the menu and wines.
It's very good food but very expensive
Very nice tasty food, but very expensive for what are you getting Just be reasonable and you restaurant will fill up It's very small dining room but yet on Friday night season you only had 16 people That's not good Check your pricing
great way to try new things and different things
Small plates are fun and you get to try different things but save room for some of the creme brulee you have ever tasted!!!!! Squash flowers were very good also.
All around excellent
Food was spectacular! Service is excellent. The cheese play is worth the money. The chef came out to give us the details on the cheeses we were about to eat. Every dish we sampled was delicious, rich and intricately prepared. Don't miss the artichoke hearts. Also, the bacalao croquettes are amazing.
Really great tapas
flavors were spectacular. we were there on a friday night and it was really quiet, but we read other reviews and they were pretty positive and on point. outside looks like a dive, but inside it's a quaint space with really nice owners who care about food, had reasonably priced wines, and really great flavors! we were a little nervous as it was so empty (and many of the places on fifth ave (note, this place is not 4th next to the vibrant hip and expensive 5th ave of naples...check your map!), but our concerns were allayed as the food and staff exceeded our expectations. i'd highly recommend the place for great food.
Always Top Drawer
IM Tapas never ceases to amaze with consistent quality and personal attention. No matter the food selection, it is carefully prepared, tastefully presented and delicious tasting. The fish dishes and specials are especially worthy of consideration, while their adaptable kitchen is willing to combine any ingredients, e.g., chorizo with pasta, rather than the fish with pasta on the menu. It is among Naples finest restaurants, and you are missing something if you don't give it a try.
Spain in Naples
This is our go to place in Naples for consistently great quality food, superb wines, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Love it!

My family has thanked me more for taking them to IM Tapas than anything else in the past year. Order the empanadas, the elk and save room for dessert.

The food was delectable but the service was poor. We waited a while for our waitress on more than one occasion. We ordered desserts together but weren't told one was unavailable much later. When we tried to cancel them since we wanted to enjoy dessert together, the waitress said we couldn't.

Used to be a favorite, what happened?
Have dined here before. Food was great and good service. This trip, we got two courses and then sat for over 25 min waiting for the langostinos. I swear I saw them come out and get dropped off at a nearby table with a large group, but can't prove that. I asked the waitress several times what happened to our dinner and she kept saying they are busy in the kitchen. I saw many plates come out, so clearly we weren't a priority, as just a party of two. We were there for two hours and had five courses. We will never go back in season.
One of Naples best, year in and year out
Why is it that everyone who has tried IM Tapas raves about it? Because the food and menu are among the best in SW Florida. Impeccable preparation, friendly caring staff, casual relaxing atmosphere, and great location in the heart of Naples make this place almost impossible to beat. It is our go to spot for great tasting food.
The best little secret in Naples!!!
The staff, chefs and food is the finest in Naples! Always the most interesting wine list and constantly changing Tapas choices! Ask the waiter's for their favorite's or give the choice to the chef! We have never been disappointed...never!!
Little Bites, Big Flavors
I M Tapas is one of our favorite restaurants in Naples. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is pleasant and attentive. The menu offers small and large plates which include a variety of salads, fish dishes, and meat options. The only mystery is why I M Tapas is not busier. The prices are high, but no higher than other Naples restaurants serving quality food. We sent our adult children to dinner at I M Tapas this week for their holiday gift and they loved their meal. Go and Enjoy !
Worth returning to
Street presence is not great but once inside warm pleasant decor with white tablecloths and pleasant ambient lighting we knew this could be good. And it was. Waiter was attentive and helpful without being pushy. House sangria was good. We had multiple tapas from beets to elk tenderloin. Only tapas we wouldn't order again was venison carpaccio with truffle oil. It was served flat on plate with no accompaniments. Something else was needed. When we tried it on the crusty bread and olive tapenade it was much better than standing alone. Spinach, artichokes, pork, sausage, empenadas all excellent. Many other tapas sounded good but we could only eat so much. Definitely worth a return visit.
Another great Tapas evening
We had a terrific family meal with all sorts of small plate tapas that we shared around the table. We do not really know Spanish wines, but really enjoyed the selections recommended by out waiter. Terrific, casual meal. with easy parking.
the price was too high for tapas
if you could reduce your prices, you can attract more clients we were only 3 tables. we asked for a white wine by the glass and you did not have and was only offered the most expesive $13-glass. the other 2 requested a bottle of red and did not have either, so do not post wines if you can not keep and inventory. the portion of the octapus was too small i only had 3 pieces each.
