Great Comp dinner

Dined on April 23, 2016

My wife and I had comp dollars to use. After it was all done I would have paid to eat there. The food was outstanding, we had a great server, the food came quickly and prepared as requested. I will go back in the near future with out question.

Dined on April 15, 2016

Very good food & excellent service, but $300+ for 2 people for dinner is ridiculous. This is a local casino, not The Breakers! My husband & I each had a drink before dinner, shared an appetizer, both ordered a steak with one shared side and had 1 bottle of wine ($78) With tip, the bill was $320 -- no dessert, no after dinner drinks. It's no wonder the restaurant was empty. If I want to spend that kind of money, it will be reserved for a special occasion or a super cool restaurant (in Vegas, NYC, etc.)

Best steak dinner my wife and I have ever had. Food was all prepared fantastically and portions were fair. Service got slower as the meal went on (and more people were seated), but Julie was so polite and very unobtrusive during the meal. Dessert was amazing as well, with exceptional scotch offerings. Bravo!

Dined on March 19, 2016

Was very disappointed in my steak. Had another steak three days later at a chain steakhouse that was much better at less than half the cost. (Bone in ribeye) Husband was mistakenly given an upgraded steak to the same cut as mine. His was twice as thick as mine and juicier, although it was supposed to be same doneness and same size on the plate. (How were they possibly the same oz steaks?) Sides were nothing special. I expected more value for the cost of our meal.

Excellent meal and wait staff!

Dined on March 6, 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our get together with two other couples to catch up, coming from PA, DC and MD. The wait staff was excellent, and we enjoyed everything from our appetizers, to our prime steaks, Wagyu ribeye, and venison entrées, and desserts. Everything was excellent. Thank you for a fantastic evening! Highly recommended!

great atmosphere terrible food

Dined on March 4, 2016

Our waitress judy was awesome and the atmosphere was great but the food was over priced and over cooked. We ordered one of each of the appetizers and the meat and cheese board was the best thing on there. The short ribs were tough, the bacon was so greasy when you bit into it it ran down your chin and the worst were the over cooked chewy lobster ravioli. They were worse then frozen stuff from giant. I had a better meal at Mountain view and even the buffet for a fraction of the price. I even left a comment card but they seemed uninterested.

Disappointed with fish dish; low value for price

Dined on February 28, 2016

I was just in Chicago and had sea bass; they served a beautiful, large piece of white fish. Here, I'm not sure the difference - on the menu it was also called sea bass, however, the piece of fish was 1.5" by 4" - so not worth the $36 price; salads and sides were additional. I'm not opposed to high-end, but, for the price, I expect more.

Not worth it

Dined on February 21, 2016

A very disappointing meal for what was a top rated restaurant. The steak was nothing special for $75 - tough and lots of fat. And the fish was eating a mouthful of salt. Our server was great and even apologized for the wait to get our entrees. Drinks were watered down. The restaurant seemed to have no dress attire requirements for dinner. Put your money towards a truly enjoyable dining experience such as Devon or Chars Mansion.

Like Butter

Dined on February 19, 2016

One of our best dining experiences ever. My wife and I have dined in New York and Philadelphia, and Final Cut is right up there with some of the top restaurants around. the Chilean Sea Bass melted in your mouth, like butter. The American Wagyu tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly, and we had inquired about the crab mac 'n cheese, which is no longer on the menu, and the Chef had made it special for us. Thank you to our server, Kyle, for an enjoyable evening of service and great recomendation on wine. Can't wait to come back.

Pricy but worth it

Dined on February 15, 2016

Dinner at Final Cut is always special. We hadn't visited for a while and several things have changed since our last visit. The first thing we noticed, with disappointment, was that they no longer serve the wonderful bread assortment that had been one of our favorite parts of a Final Cut dinner. Now they just serve a small loaf of pretzel bread, which was OK but a bummer because we were looking forward to those wonderful parmesan crisps..... On a positive note, the appetizer assortment now includes an awesome meat and cheese plate. My husband and I shared one, and the assortment included two meats, two cheeses, along with olives, nuts, pickling spices, mustard, almonds, olives and comb honey. A great assortment and very generous portion for two at $16. The entrees are as fabulous as in the past. My husband loved his sea bass and my 10 ounce filet was so tender, I could cut it with my fork. The steak prices are definitely higher than I remember. I think my filet was $45 (with no sides). The wine assortment was extensive and impressive, also with higher prices than I remember. We chose a modest Layer Cake merlot at $40. All in all, a fabulous pricy dinner that was well worth it. If it had included that great bread basket, it would have been perfect.

Beautiful decor, excellent steaks, and great service. The braised short rib appetizer was delicious. One of our steaks came out overdone, but the server noticed and sent for a new steak immediately. The bacon cream corn is the best I have ever had! The prices are expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Cold Fish

Dined on February 12, 2016

We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the fish came out cold. After sending it back to be recooked, we were given the same piece that we sent back (15 minutes later) and it was luke warm at best. We were very disappointed considering the price and there was barely an apology offered. As restaurant owners ourselves, we had hoped for a better experience.

Overall very nice although we were sad to see the great breadbasket has been replaced by a sad pretzel loaf. I think my dessert( pumpkin spice cake) had been in the freezer- had a slight freezer taste to it. The side dishes seem to have shrunk somewhat. But overall we enjoyed our meal very much and will return. Just be careful about pricing too many people out though. And I did not like the video wine board. For the price we paid would interaction with a human kill anyone??? And the waiter suggested my wine as I couldn't find it on that thing

NoteWorthy

Dined on February 6, 2016

I took my father to a special dinner at Hollywood Casino. This was his second time coming to Final Cut, once before at Hollywood in Charlestown. We started with the bacon appetizer, Amazing!!!! We shared the 70 or 75 oz. steak and it was arguably the best steak hands down we have ever eaten. We had the creamed corn with bacon, asparagus, and mashed potatoes for our sides. This meal was fit for a king and it truly deserves to be considered on the best steakhouses in this area. Go try it out and I guarantee you will walk away just as I did, amazed.

We had such a great time eating at the Final Cut Steakhouse. The staff was outstanding in every thing they did from talking to us to keeping our drinks full. The food was second to none, prepared just how we wanted it and there was so much of it. Chef Ken even came out to our table to say hello. Going there was the best part of our weekend and we look forward to going back again. In my opion I would have given them more than 5 stars if it was possible to do.

So great

Dined on January 16, 2016

Loved the food and the atmosphere. This is a fantastic place to go for a special occasion! Not sure I would recommend to my elderly parents since the food is highly seasoned. However, the service was excellent, and I'm sure they would modify things if you asked. It is very expensive (about $50 and up a plate) so it's definitely a special occasion place. I didn't notice smoke from the casino in the restaurant. Much busier and a bit louder than I anticipated.

Final Cut Steakhouse Fabulous!

Dined on January 2, 2016

My Husband and I had dinner for the first time at The Final Cut Steakhouse inside the Hollywood Casino. I knew that it was pricey and everything a la carte but, was pleasantly surprised! The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated. Our server was attentive and very professional. The taste of the food was FABULOUS! I had a pumpkin bisque, sea bass, baked sweet potato that was HUGE and brussel sprouts. My husband had the French onion soup, venison, baked potato and creamed corn. The pretzel bread was so delicious also! We were so full and could not do dessert. Took half of our sides home with us. We definitely will return to this restaurant in the future for a special occasion! If I had to say something on the negative side, I wish the server would have told us that when ordering the sides that they were enough to share. Especially since we paid individually for each one that we ordered! Also, was disappointed when I got home to see that one of my sides was forgotten with my doggie bag. I think that for the price you have to pay, more care should be taken when packaging up left overs. All in all, wonderful experience!!!!
