About Cousino's Steakhouse
Cousino’s Steakhouse combines dining in casual elegance with the comfort of being in a familiar place. We have been perfecting our menu since 1945 and, while we’ve updated our look, the basics are still the same. We still believe the only way to cook a steak is over an open flame, meal time is family time, and only the freshest ingredients will do. Our warm, friendly atmosphere welcomes back generation after generation, and our fantastic menu never disappoints. Choose from our lighter fare of scrumptious soups, salads, and sandwiches or indulge in our flavorful, juicy signature steaks and chops, deliciously prepared seafood entrees, or a variety of delightful poultry offerings. Our delicious food made us famous, but it’s our unparalleled service that has kept the crowds coming for more than 50 years. When you dine at Cousino’s Steakhouse, you have the feeling that you are surrounded by family. An East Toledo landmark for over half a century.

Cousino's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We went to lunch at Cousino's at about 1:30. Not too crowded at this point, but two large groups at long tables were still there. We checked out the reasonably priced salad bar/buffet but declined. The two entrees--baked chicken and salisbury steak looked like they had been sitting there too long. The brown gravy would have gone with the steak, but not the chicken. My French dip was good and served with a horseradish sauce. The double-baked potato served with it was so overloaded with butter/margarine that it was a turnoff. It came with a side of "sweet" sour cream, which I didn't like. Why put sugar in sour cream? My husband had a burger which was fine. So overall, we were disappointed. The food didn't taste bad, but there is much better in town.
This gem is worth finding in an unusual neighborhood. Great steaks and sides. Even the dinner salad was unusually nice. It's very apparent that this family takes pride in continuing excellent customer service and, of course, amazing food!
My steak was done the way i like it. We sat next to the fireplace which I had asked for. The staff was very friendly. Food was good.
Hadnt been to Cousnos in many years, and ...
Hadnt been to Cousnos in many years, and have recently been looking for privately owned places with GREAT food..and have always remembered this restaurant as a finer restaurant. I was not disappointed. The place is warm, cozy and quite comfortable. The food was second to none. I ordered a "Black and Blue" steak and I was totally happy with my choice.Just for starters, The presentation of the meal had my stomach happy before the first bite!! The French onion soup had perfectly melted cheeses with amazing homemade croutons, which was followed by a bag salad with a few veggies and cheese, BUT the homemade blue cheese dressing made that plan ol salad a little elegant. The steak was cooked to perfection with nicely carmalized onions and mushrooms. I am generally a lite eater, but there wre no leftovers after this meal. The service was not at all impressive(and I have been in fine dining for over 30 years and give all servers the benefit of the doubt..just not this time) but the young server assistant was WONDERFUL and attentive. I would highly suggest Cousnos to my friends and family
Good Sunday dinner!
Excellent food, service, and cost. Waitress was excellent.
New Years eve
Had to wait a little longer than expected but it was definitely worth it. My steak was excellent as was my wifes smothered chicken. Our server did a wonderful job considering the packed house,as everything was brought to the table at the right time from the wine to salad and the main course. Thanks to everybody from the wait staff to everyone in the kitchen for a great dinner on New Years Eve!
New Years Eve
Although Cousino's was crowded due to New Years Eve, we were seated within 5 minutes thanks to our Open Table reservation. The staff was very busy but still amiable and efficient. Our server was well versed on the menu and made recommendations from the specials. We have dined at Cousino's before and are looking forward to our next visit.

Wasn't happy with a table by the kitchen and there was no way to switch according to the hostess stand (New Year's Eve). Overall food and wait staff were good and prices were what I expected. Ordered the NY Steak which was cooked perfect but lacked flavor. All others in my party said their meals were decent.
As it normally the case when we visit, the food was outstanding and prepared as requested. Service was friendly and attentive.

Kinda off in a corner. Liked it at first but the kitchen noise was too loud. Hard to hold a conversation. A very loud big group was by us as well.
As usual, we go to Cousino's for the same thing every time...their steak and they never disappoint!
My family has been eating at Cousino's for decades. It was the place to go for special occasions and nice dinners out. Lately, the prices have increased, but the quality has not. We were there most recently for the Sunday afternoon brunch. I was rather disappointed at the selection versus the price, particularly the price for the kids. It would have been cheaper for them to split a steak dinner than eat what little they did off the buffet. The dessert selections are definitely not what they used to be. Pieces of cake hardly wider than a butter knife, and what looked to be store bought cookies. I am not ignorant of food costs and overhead, but I think maybe instead of buying a variety of cakes and serving them, maybe offer the bread pudding, which is made in house.
Nice place Prime rib was ordered by 2 people medium well Came to us very rare sent back came back again same way. They did take both orders off our bill.
We went there for a special occasion and asked to be placed in a quiet area. We were placed next to a group of five ladies, who were very pleasant, but it was not what we asked for and it was not crowded. We had reservations. Service was slow but very gracious, Food was delicious. Will go there more often and be more assertive if someone doesn't listen to a simple request.
Excellent food and service. Had the house steak and casserole potato.
great food, the wait staff was very attentive, the food came out at the perfect times, and of course it was delicious! Would recommend this steakhouse to everyone! The only thing I found not right was the telephone number was wrong., but the open table reservation was quick and easy!
The waitress was great. She had big table and or table of 4. She did above service (tip over 20%). Food was average. I had to send my steak back because it was not cooked the way I ordered it. Restaurant was loud but you could still talk at the table in a normal voice. Very nice atmosphere.
Good food, service and atmosphere.
Our Open Table reservation got us in quickly on a packed Valentines Day evening. However, they sat us next to the kitchen door...not the best, but not terrible either. Our waitress was better than average (20% tip better). Salad, steamed broccoli, and our prime rib was very tasty. Both my wife and I did not care for the whipped potato - something many rave about. Although the place was packed and there was lots of conversation it was somehow not too noisy to speak in a regular tone of voice, and hear clearly. Good lighting, bright, but not overwhelming.
My husband and I love this restaurant!
The food is great and the service is second to none. This is the first time I used Open Table and I was pleasantly surprised of the ease and I felt we got a special table and quiet setting. We love going to Cousinos for a special dining experience.
Fine dining at Cousino's
Service was excellent and at 5 p.m. the night crowd was just starting to trickle in and the steaks were excellent, juicy and tender. Kudos to the chef and our server was right on time! Thank you again for a wonderful dinner and evening out!
It had been a while since I was there and the food and service were quite good. I would definitely recommend Cousino's and will be going back soon.
I haven't been too pleased in the past but I do believe Cousino's is making a comeback! There were 3 of us for thanksgiving and we choose the 8 oz. steak instead of turkey even though it was offered as a buffet ($20) all you can eat but since we are all small eaters we choose the steak for $16 and I must say it was cooked to perfection and all 3 of us exclaimed over it! We were seated right away (with a reservation I made 1 month ago online), the noise level wasn't too bad (sometimes it is hard for my husband to hear when there is a crowd), our waitress (Jan) was excellent, pleasant and courteous, my bloody mary drink was made perfect and my husbands coffee cup stayed full! I could.nt have been more pleased. Thank you for a wonderful thanksgiving experience!

Very good food. Service by waitress was extremely good although we did have to wait quite a while for food since it was busy. Biggest downfall was noise level. Hard to hear right at our own table.
Always a favorite
The prime rib special was very good. Service was excellent while not being in our face. Always a relaxing atmosphere here.
Quiet and Dark
Great steaks, better potato casserole. We love going for a date night. We also enjoy for mothers day.

The food was excellent for the price. Easy in and out, with good service. We were seated in the area next to the bar which was very noisy. My wife was going into the hospital the next day and she wanted a good steak dinner. She was not disappointed. Since we live in Perrysburg, this is a special trip for dinner.
Steaks and Service
There is no place better in NW Ohio! We don't eat out a whole lot as my wife is a great cook. But , when we do, Cousino's is our absolute first choice. The service and food is always outstanding. You've got a couple of lifelong, loyal customers!

We had a great dinner . The fillet was cooked a perfect medium and my grilled pickerel was delicious. Our waitress was excellent !!!
Great old Steakhouse
Great evening !!!!!!!!!! Love the brie bruschetti sumptuous, and complements to the chef our steaks were broiled to perfection our sever Christina was very nice Thank You for making us feel special.
The food was excellent Prime rib was cooked to what we ordered.
Steak was under cooked. Even after they cooked it again still under cooked. Horrible service.
The Prime rib was good and the twice baked potato was fabulous.
very hard review to write.
Long time customer, we have dined here at least 80 times. Last visit was really disappointing. Service was really slow, almost 15 minutes wait to place our order after we got our drinks (not busy at the time, many empty tables).the waitress seemed annoyed when I asked about the seasonal and monthly beer selections and when my Mother in law asked about side dish choices(if you don't want people asking about them print the choices on the menu.) we were disappointed that they no longer bring dinner rolls to the table unless you request them, it would be nice if they asked if you would like some The deep fried Mushrooms were great but,The house sirloins were tasty but was almost 1/3 fat and the French onion soup was nearly tasteless.
Both food and service were
Both food and service were above average. We enjoyed our meals and will visit again soon.
My first trip to Cousino's was a delight. From the wonderful help of the hostess (was it Cassie?) to our incredibly good waitress, Christina, my lady and I were impressed. And the food..."totally mouthwatering." : )
As first time diners here,
As first time diners here, we were very disappointed. Our server had zero personality and acted like we were a nuisance. She didn't even bother asking if we had ever been there or had any questions. We felt very rushed when she came to our table, which was seldom. We enjoyed or appetizers but the entrees were far from anything we would expect from an open table restaurant. I sent my dinner back because it was horrible and was so turned off not only by the dish but also the server that I didn't get anything else. I left disappointed and hungry, and will never go back.
Visited the place on valentines
Visited the place on valentines evening. Had reservations so we got seated almost right away. Busy because of the holiday so we were seated upstairs. Servers had a lot to do, but they did well to serve us. Food was very good. Had sirloin steak and shrimp. My wife had pickerel. Both of us enjoyed ourselves. We will go back again.
Great Dinner at Cousino's
Our group of 6 had a nice dinner last Friday at Cousino's Steakhouse. We were placed in front of the fireplace on the patio. The food was great, but we were sad the Prime Rib was not available. Our table had steaks, salmon and chicken fingers and all gave thumbs up for their meals. The potato casserole was especially satisfying on that cold snowy evening.
Crown Jewl in Toledo
This is a Crown Jewel of a restaurant in Toledo ohio. If you are looking for a great steakhouse in Toledo Ohio, Great food, great atmosphere, great service, this is the place to come. only drawback I found is parking. this place didn't have enough parking, and not a lot of room inside the restaurant to wait to get seated. recommend when you make your reservation you come early to find parking spot. then wait in your car to about 5 minutes before your reservation to go inside. that way you get right in and sit down...
