Some examples of our mouth watering Roman delicacies include our signature Artichokes alla Core de Roma, Saltimbocca, and Bucatini alla Matriciana. Our reservation was for 6pm which was honored immediately. Service and Food were excellent. Recommend the early reservation as it was getting quite loud as we were leaving.

Not as I remembered

Dined on April 8, 2016

We dined at Core de Roma before and enjoyed the food. We went this past Friday. The dishes were not as good as we remember. I don't know whether they have changed chefs or recipes. The dishes used to feel authentically Romanesque but not anymore.

I've been here about 20 times, often with friends that have joined us on a repeat basis. That alone says a lot about Core de Roma. Available free parking and being a BYOB help as well, especially in West Chester where parking can be a challenge.

Poor Overall

Dined on February 27, 2016

We had been looking forward to eating here based on a recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, there was very little about our experience that wasn't poor. They were already out of some of the specials when we arrived, but hadn't notified the wait staff. As a result, we ordered several specials that were no longer available and had to review the menu a second time. Then, 3 of our 4 meals came out and were no longer hot. The 4th meal came out 10 minutes later. When we complained, the waiter said it wasn't his fault. The owner, who was prowling around our table up until the incident, was no where to be found after. I wouldn't go back.

Little restaurant delivers on a big menu!

vip
Dined on February 21, 2016

When Core de Roma was recommended to us by a friend of our daughter, I checked out the menu online and thought that due to it's length and extensiveness, nothing on it would be that special. Well, we do act on advice and was I ever wrong. We had a party of 6 and everyone had something different and everything was outstanding with a clear attention to ingredients and special details. We don't get to West Chester often, but Core de Roma is now a "must stop" for some sort of meal.

Great food but acoustics give you a headache

Dined on February 20, 2016

The menu, food and service were outstanding. This was probably the best Italian food we have had in recent memory. However, I must say they need to do something about the noise level as we were there on a Saturday evening, when the restaurant was full, and you could barely have a conversation with the people at your table. The good news is that there are lots of solutions to the acoustic problem.......

Great little Italian BYOB!

vip
Dined on February 20, 2016

It doesn't look like much from the outside, situated in a little strip shopping center in West Chester, but this place has some of the best Italian food around. Everything we had was delicious from the burrata appetizer special to the meatballs to the specialty pasta dishes!! The staff is very friendly. Overall highly recommended!!

A Bit Pricey

Dined on February 19, 2016

The service was great - very friendly, but the noise level was a bit unbearable at times. This restaurant in BYOB, but do not expect to save on the check. Entrees and appetizers were very tasty, but similar BYOB restaurants in the area seem to give you more for your money.

Never again

Dined on February 19, 2016

Yuk. We were a party of 4. My friend had: special Veal chop cut thin with no flavor for $35; my dish was chicken with crabmeat atop and waiter told me that my dish would come with potato croquettes and Brussels sprouts. I got half of one Brussel sprout ( no lie!) and 4 slices of a potato! Very bland meal; other friend had lasagna (who can mess that up, right?)...well, it tasted like Chef Boyardi... Very thin pasta which was overlooked. Mouthful had texture of mush. My husband had chicken parmigiana which he always orders at every restaurant. He couldn't finish it because it tasted "funny." Terrible and way overpriced .

Dined on February 14, 2016

This place is new to me since I'm only in WC a couple times a year. First time visit was Valentine's Day with another couple. All together an excellent dinner with fresh ingredients. They had a special menu for the holiday which was a little more pricey than expected, but it was worth the price paid. The service was decent though it felt a little rushed in terms of demeanor. It's a BYOB, though the server didn't pour the first glass of wine which I was taken slightly aback. However it was a big dinner holiday, so that is certainly understandable. Overall, I will make a return visit.

I have been there a number of times, and have always had a good experience. The food is very good, and the service is excellent. We were there on Valentine's Day and our server was Angelo. Who was fabulous. Everything was excellent, from the Burratina appetizer to our entrees ( I had the bronzino and my wife had the veal chop). I also like the Veal cure de Roma and my wife loves the Osso Bucco. Definitely a great restaurant for West Chester.

Il Pranzo

vip
Dined on January 31, 2016

We (10 people) were there for Il Pranzo, a family style Sunday afternoon dinner much like you would encounter in an Italian home. It was 2-1/2 hours of family style food that was wonderful. The restaurant was quiet because it wasn't full, it being a Sunday afternoon. As is the norm for this restaurant, the food was excellent. Being a BYOB was a treat as we had about 6 to 8 bottles of wine over the course of the meal.

Authentic Italian cuisine

Dined on January 29, 2016

Core de Roma features authentic Italian cuisine based on dishes from the Roman Region of Italy. Luigi, the owner is from there, and his influence is felt in all of the meals my family has been fortunate to experiance there. Their Gnocci is to die for, regardless of which sauce you choose. I enjoy dining on Veal dishes when we dine out. Our last visit there I orederd the Veal Franchese and my wife had the Veal Involtine. Veal was tender and cooked to perfection. The sauces were awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to take a trip to Rome, without the airfare. It is like dining with family.

A good find

vip
Dined on January 14, 2016

West Chester is home to many great Italian restaurants. We had Core de Roma on our to-do list for quite a long time. We were not disappointed by our experience, but I'm not sure it was good enough to bring us back to this restaurant. I had the rigatoni with sausage and peas in a cream sauce. It was delicious, but too buttery. My husband had the Fettucine Bolognese and he was very pleased. The noise level is very high, which made it difficult for the three of us to have a conversation. We always appreciate a restaurant that is BYOB. Our bill for three was only $48.

We LOVE this restaurant. Such great and attentive service, you really feel like you're eating at a family member's house. And the food is UNBEATABLE. Most of it is homemade (including the fettuccine!) and so delicious. I will go back again and again.

Dinner in Roma

vip
Dined on January 3, 2016

We have now been here three times in the last six weeks and are looking forward to a return visit in February. We love trying new restaurants and, as much as we like many we visit, we don't often return, as there are so many good choices in our region. Core de Roma broke our habit. We love Rome and Roman food, so we were thrilled to find this gem. The food is excellent, the service and people are great and treat you like family - and it's a BYOB!!!
