Their mussels and onion soup are always delicious. Other entrees tend to be inconsistent with some very good, others not. Tuna nicoise salad was bland, very little tuna, beans or egg.

after movie dinner

Dined on April 16, 2016

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Coquette. We sat at the friendly bar for a few minutes and got good wine and food recommendations. Then we were seated at a table for two by the window. Our server was excellent and had good suggestions for ordering. I had the pork paillard which was outstanding and my husband was very happy with the salmon that he ordered. We would definitely go back!

Delicious food at decent prices.

I ordered the coquette burger which was amazing. It was a steak burger on a croissant as the bun with brie, bacon (chunks) and a sunny side up egg. The thin fries are wonderful too. My wife and I went just this past weekend and I told a coworker almost first thing Monday morning how good the burger was and that he should go.

We keep returning to Coquette Brasserie because the food never fails to please, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. This time was no different, and we also had an opportunity to try some new menu items which were delicious. It's a go to restaurant for us, and one to which we have taken a number of friends who have been equally pleased.

Coquette never fails to satisfy your taste buds ..savory, sweet and bubbly! They make a great Vesper (one of the few in town that carries Lillet Blanc!) and goes with burgers, seafood or another Vesper!

We ordered a steak medium rare and it came out rare. They took it back to cook it longer, but it really wasn't that much better. I think the chef should know how to cook a steak. The coq au vin and beef bourgeunion were very good.

Dined on March 12, 2016

The truffle frites are a favorite. They changed their escargot recipe and it is now too heavy on an herb (probably parsley, but definitely green). Not enough simple buttery goodness. The seafood crepe should be larger (raise the price and make it decent sized).

Best Moules & Sprouts this side of Brussells

Dined on February 29, 2016

Started with Onion Soup, then on to Moules and Pomme Frites - with Truffles, and Brussels Sprouts - with Jambon. All too good, and too much, but I savored each bite. Wife had a delicately delicious Beet & Chèvre Salad, and Duck Leg Confit. Top it off by sharing a silky smooth Creme Brûlée. The room reminded me of being in a Parisian Brasserie in the 80's.

Delightful French Inspired Restaurant

Dined on February 27, 2016

A Saturday lunch to celebrate a birthday was a treat at Coquette Brasserie. Our table ordered the salmon and the beef with fries. These were prepared to perfection & plated beautifully. Bread & butter outstanding, as were the New Orleans hot fresh donuts & sauces. Lovely service.

We enjoyed delicious food and drinks while having quiet adult conversation. The perfect date night. The service was great too, taking care of everything, but not hovering or pressuring us to move more quickly through the meal. Thanks Coquette!

Bistro fare perfected!

vip
Dined on February 26, 2016

I love this restaurant--it is one of my regular haunts. Why? The food is always perfectly prepared whether you have ordered frites with truffle oil, coq au vin or fish of the day. The cocktails are delicious and the wine is reasonable. This is a very spacious restaurant with tall ceilings and plenty of room between tables which adds to the pleasant ambiance. You can feel perfectly dressed here in a little black dress or designer jeans. There is no snobbery, just good food and friendly service.

A lovely, lively brunch on a rainy day in Feb.

Dined on February 21, 2016

Four of us enjoyed a Sunday brunch at Coquette. The dining room was full but we found our table to be plenty quiet for talking. Our server was genuine and friendly but didn't hover; and our food was delicious, served hot and just as we ordered. We hope to find ourselves dining with you again soon!

Stuck with appetizers and cheese platters

Dined on February 20, 2016

Our main courses: Burger/Pork cutlet - Burger with egg and bacon lardon was still basically flavorless. The pork was thinly cut and had been over-cooked. Good flavor ruined by dryness. The stars of meal were the cheese platter, salad, and we observed other appetizers and small plates around us that looked spectacular. We recommend treating this restaurant like a Tapas venue & ordering several appetizer and small plates with a beautiful cocktail or wine. The water served was very clean-tasting, as well. We would return to dine tapas-style.

Great place for more reasons than the 1 grievance

Dined on February 19, 2016

The place is very good, the food the atmosphere, and of course the wine! My only concern is for the price and the high quality place it is uncomfortable how close you are to other guest. I had one person to my left (I did not notice however my fiance did) that was giving offensive looks in our direction. This could be because they were close enough to the table and heard are (political and/or religious) conversation. No matter what we are speaking about we should not be so close that even in low tones you can hear the conversation to your right and left. That defeats the purpose of a fun dinner with your significant other or a friend. My personal opinion is when you spend the money to go to a nice place the least you can have is a small amount of privacy and room. This is just my honest opinion. I still love the place and would recommend it to anyone!

Enjoyable evening

Dined on February 19, 2016

We invited a couple to go with us to Coquette's and the lady of the couple has a difficult time choosing proper food for her health situation, but was able to choose the right food for her at Coquette's and she is encouraged to go there on many different occasions because of this. We all enjoyed our food choices and everything was delicious and the waiter was attentive and helped make the evening enjoyable. We plan to go back soon.

Menu mixup

Dined on February 18, 2016

I ordered the petite tarte flambe ala Paris, but was served tarte ala Alsasian with bacon, which for a vegetarian was not what I wanted. The waiter said that was all there was, that the menu had changed, and brought the menu for me to order (while my table mates were starting their dinner). When I showed him on the menu what I had ordered he went to the kitchen and returned saying that the tarte would be out in two minutes -- actually it was more like 5 or 6 -- but enjoyable.

Coquette Brasserie, Oui! Oui!

Dined on February 15, 2016

I have enjoyed many a lunch and dinner at Coquette, and one of my favorites is the steak frites. This is a hangar steak that comes with your choice of maitre’d butter, bordelaise or brandy peppercorn sauces. All three are great, but I especially like the bordelaise. The frites are tasty – very thin and crispy. Other favorites include the onion soup gratinee, quiche Lorraine, beets and Roquefort salad, escargots, Parisian gnocchi and the hamburger, which is freshly ground steak so it can be cooked to order. The brunch is quite good, although it's been a while since I've been. I recommend any of the quiches and of course the bottomless mimosa (if it still is served.) Our most recent visit was this Valentine's Day, and the menu was fixe prix, with wine pairings for an extra cost. They were out of the braised beef rib which I had been craving, but somehow our most wonderful server was able to magically make one appear! The food was fantastic as was the wine. The service at Coquette is always friendly and attentive, and I look forward to my next dining experience there!

Valentine's Day Dinner

Dined on February 15, 2016

The menu was 3 or 4 set courses and gave you a very good variety of choices for each course. For a busy day, the reservations were right on time and well managed by the restaurant. Service was a little fast between courses but acceptable.
