Coppa Osteria Ratings and Reviews
All around good place
Nice drink menu. I had some kind of bourbon drink that was terrific. My companion had pizza and I had a very nice snapper in olive oil. Roasted chickpeas for starters were great.
pretty space, expensive
the service was excellent and the place was really pretty and clean. the food was extremely expensive though. $19 for pasta carbonara. it was a decent size serving and the taste was decent but not spot on for the dish. I wish they had brunch options for the weekend as well.

If i lived in neighborhood we'd walk here a lot.
First time was nice
My friends and I enjoyed our lunch here. The music and ambiance were very upbeat, I would definitely like to come back for dinner to see what it's like at night. The drinks were really well prepared and the food was fresh. Server was attentive and the rest of the staff was very accommodating!
The valet parking is terrible! We had to wait over 40 mins. for our car!
Lunch and Dinner and Patio Dining.
Great ambiance. Excellently prepared menu items. Presentation was wonderful. Focaccia bread was very good. Outstanding wine list. Casual dining experience as well as an excellent atmosphere in the evenings, with the beautiful bar and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend. Wait staff was very attentive and professional.

Spaghetti Carbonara delicious, great wine selection, great service. Mozzarella and Roasted Tomatoes needed sea salt and/or balsamic vinegar.

The food is always amazing. It is hard to break from the carbonara served table-side with the fresh egg yolk and heavy creme, but everything is so yummy!
One of the hot spots in Rice Village which is evolving and changing every day. Great food and creative dishes. Very stylish contemporary design which is what this neighborhood has needed for yeara
The good and the bad
Coppa is consistent in two ways...very good food and awful service. You have to decide whether the food is worth the inevitable frustration of poor service all down the line. It is almost as if the management encourages it as the situation never changes.
Nice lunch at coppa
Met a work colleague for lunch at coppa and had a great visit. Parking near rice village is tricky and the valet set up was efficient. Nice lunch crowd but not so busy that you couldn't converse. Service was was fine. Had the carbonara with the egg that coppa was known for. Good but didn't blow me away. All in all a nice choice for lunch .

I gave the overall a 3 star rating due to the very loud dance music playing on the patio. We asked the waiter if the music could be turned down a notch or two, however he was told by the manager the music could not be turned down and to concentrate on the food and not the music. Needless to say that was not an appropriate response for a couple trying to enjoy date night without our kids. It's going to be a long while before we return.

Great service, great food, and great drinks. Top notch for birthdays.
Excellent fine quality Italian experience
Our server was really outstanding, though he may have come by our table a tad too much. His recommendations were very good and he knew how to put the complete meal (wine, starter, entree, dessert) together so that each component complemented the other. The food was quite excellent. Definitely a finer quality Italian experience, but the atmosphere is not too stuffy so you can experience fine quality food without feeling overwhelmed by the "suits and ties".

We had a great time and a very nice outdoor spot, but then there were cars and foot traffic near table, too. Food is just whatever. Service was slooooooooow. Drinks were great. Price ridiculous for food quality. BUT, we really did have a great time there on Valentine's Day. Very nice lighting inside and out, and looks like a very fun spot for those who like a good time.
Absolutely worth it. Very good but not great!
A solid choice. Great place to have good food and the atmosphere is cool. I had the snapper [was'nt that special]. Tried the ravioli [was pretty good and freshly made]. Consistently quality food and fresh ingredients. You will not be wowed with the food. Definitely not the best retaurant in Houston but a solid choice. They do have an above par wine list, if you are looking for good vino. Had the antipasti plate [was'nt impressed]. Many wine bars in Houston have better appetizers than this retaurant.
Great filet mignon
The filet mignon was really good but the raviolis with sauce was just marginal. I have had pasta here before which was much better. I still enjoy coming to this place ambience is really nice and the service is always great
Good service. Very good wine list. We rarely order dessert and both were gorgeous. I came twice a week apart and would go back again.
Great food great service
Booked a table of 12 for an office lunch. The food here never disappoints. Chickpea app awesome. Chopped salad deelish and food to share with 4 people of you want just want a small salad each before the main course. The chicken with capers and lemon was so moist and cooked to perfection. Disappointed there were no cannolis. Had the zeppole instead. They were on point with a zeppole from up in Jersey, but they were a.lot smaller then the ones I am used to eating. Highly recommend this place
Rice Village Surprise
An upscale, restaurant with a lively atmosphere and appealing food. Very trendy decor that proved to be quite inviting. Menu options were quite verified. Service was personable and prompt.

Great service, very accommodating with dietary needs and picky children. Delicious! The scampi is a favorite of my son and the s'mores and little donuts for desert for my daughter. Mouthwatering!!!! Nice wine selection, and ambience to boot:)
AMBIANCE HAS CHANGED
I used to frequent the Washington address. Although food and wait staff are still excellent, there were a lot of families with small children in attendance on a Friday night. Probably due to demographics of the move.

I love this restaurant! We were regulars at the old location on Washington Ave but have since moved to Denver. Now I try to make it in to Coppa every time I'm in Houston. Be sure to order Zeppole for dessert!
The spaghetti carbonara is the best in town. Definitely a favorite. The wait staff was attentive and made great recommendations on choices of salads. Perfect food and perfect service. I will definitely be back soon.
Arriving early to meet a friend, I sat at the bar alone and asked for the wine list. I asked the bartender about a certain wine and within 60 seconds, the sommelier was at my side. He made an awesome suggestion ! I had ordered olives and anchovies while waiting for my friend . My wine was chilled to cellar temp , then decanted. However , the sommelier noticed when the anchovies arrived and brought a beautiful glass of champagne complimentary ! Lovely experience !
Best pizza in town
We have visited several times. It seems there is always road construction going on but valet parking is available Very pleasant neighborhood restaurant. Try the Italian sausage pizza and ask for an extra mushroom topping

We have eaten at Coppa Osteria several times while visiting Houston, in fact we always make it a point to eat there, and have never been disappointed. everything we have ordered has been well prepared, fresh, and the taste and quality consistent. Its location is off the beaten path and provides some nice sidewalk dining and overall results in a relaxed environment. We have recommended it friends enthusiastically.
Great quality at our neighborhood italian rest
We love coming to Coppa when we feel like eating italian. The rice village is where we go for easy eating. We got our favorite casarecce pasta and tiramasu for dessert. Also enjoyed the sausage and white bean soup!
Romantic but little pricy
We really had great time. It seems foods are little pricy compare to the portion. For example 4 pcs of cheese costs $16. It always better to order main portion rather than appetizer or small plates. But it's a romantic place. Average dinner price would be 30 -50/ each person.

I'm a regular at this restaurant and have always experienced great service and excellent food. However this time was quite disappointing. My boyfriend has only been to this establishment one other time so when I suggested it for nye he was hesitant but agreed per my recommendation. Once we sat down no one attended us for 10 minutes then when he the waiter showed up he gave us the menu and said what would u like the kitchen is about to close. First of all we had a reservation so curious as to why this restaurant would take a reservation before they closed? Second the restaurant was busy still, no one else was being closed down. The whole meal we were rushed, left with a very unfavorable experience. My boyfriend and I both work in a hospital since we have been dating this was the first nye together and I was expecting the normally great experience I receive here.
Romantic date night
Been here forever date night several times and we are never disappointed!

Our go to dinner spot. Always great food and service!
My significant other and I ate an early dinner at Coppa Osteria this past Saturday. We had never eaten here before and I had received a gift card at my office holiday party. Although I made a reservation, I over-estimated traffic and arrived much earlier than anticipated, but seating was not a problem. I wanted to try the crispy spiced chickpeas, so we started with an order while we reviewed the menu options. I was a little disappointed in the chickpeas because there wasn't much spice to them. I think dusting some red pepper flakes over the bowl and mixing well would add the spice I was expecting and did not find. As an entree, I ordered the 1/2 brick chicken under a brick and substituted the cauliflower for the polenta. This was tasty. A lemon half cooked with the chicken gave a nice citrus flavor to the dish and I enjoyed the nutty flavor of the roasted cauliflower. My dinner partner ordered the seafood & pasta stew. While I didn't taste this, he claimed it was good. We skipped dessert this time, but agreed we will return.
The food is great, but the staff is even better. Whether table busses or manage everyone helps at all times.

We had a delicious brunch, all of the items we ordered were delicious. The carbonara table presentation was great, although I'd have liked the pasta (or cream) to be hotter when the cream hit the egg yolk so that the whole dish ate hotter. Service was v attentive. Crowd at lunch is riddled with noisy children, old enough to behave better, and we had a dad stand next to me bouncing a baby carrier the whole time. I'd like to go back for dinner in hopes it would be more pleasant.

Our Goto Italian Spot
When we feel like having Italian this is where we go. Excellent as usually. Really enjoyed the cheese plate tonight.
