Nice Breakfast at JW
Enjoyed our breakfast here... small menu and a buffet with a bunch of stuff. Convenient if you're a hotel guest. Service was excellent. My eggs and items from the buffet were all very good. More "every day" than the breakfast venue across the way at the Ritz, so you have a choice. This room is also much larger than Highball and Harvest at the Ritz.
Not what it use to be
It has changed for bad. It use to be really good food, upscale place to go with family or friends. Not anymore.
The Best Place for Thanksgiving
My family and I absolutely love this place! Citron has been the family gathering spot for Thanksgiving every year since 2008 when we are all in Florida. The spread of food, expertly prepared, is off the charts. It's a phenomenal restaurant inside a spectacular hotel. You will not be disappointed!
Bad service, mediocre food
My wife and I went to Sunday brunch at Citron. The waiter took our drink order, asked if we were getting the buffet. When he brought the drinks back to the table I indicated my wife wanted the buffet but I hadn't decided yet. He never checked back on us the entire meal. We both were out of drinks and I had wanted to order off the menu , but was never given the chance, because he did not ever come back to the table. After about 25 minutes of waiting , I told my wife to go ahead and eat and I would get get something on the way home. Would not recommend.

there for lunch: onion soup was bland, caesar salad with salmon was bland, water tasted like there was ammonia in it so asked for it to be switched... disappointed since this is usually a good breakfast place.
Great ambiance if you're six years old.
The menu and food would suggest an upscale dinning experience, but the number of young children unaccustomed to proper restaurant behavior made for a very unpleasant atmosphere. There were plenty of available tables in this large revenue, but the hostess kept seating families with young children around us. Apparently, this is a great restaurant for kids, but not if you want a quiet dinner without distractions.
Typical hotel casual restaurant too expensive
Came to Ritz to celebrate anniversary and chose Citron as said was smart casual and American food good for special occassions. Thought would be a less formal but nice restaurant; it wasn't. It was super casual, not romantic at all. The food was okay but nothing special. Should not sell itself as anything more than the casual family hotel restaurant. For that it's fine, though a bit overpriced. If want a cool atmosphere and great food for less go to the Whisper Creek Kitchen onsite.
Found to be lacking
We had higher expectations for the restaurant given its location in the JW Marriott. Our server was great and the food quality was good but we were missing items on our dishes and there was no bread served because the kitchen didn't want to bring any more in. This wasn't so much about the bread but rather that it was a thursday night in season at 8:30 so you would expect standards to be met. On top of this they were offering a buffet option that had bread available but was only available if you paid for the buffet option. The menus were fairly limited as well and the experience as a whole wasn't what we were hoping for. It was an anniversary dinner and we expected better from a restaurant associated with a JW.
it was ok
the picture you posted of the food was more elegant that it really was. I went to Normans last year an loved it but they were not open for lunch so I decided to try Citron. Food was ok. I think the menu because it had sandwiches didn't make it. I could have a turkey sandwich anywhere!
Family dining yes - Busibess not so good
As part of a conference organized a business meeting for breakfast. All was well until a family of 6 (4 infants) sat down next to us. Surprised to see this at 7am with so many other tables to choose from on a Thu morning Also had two business lunches but regretfully had to locate our waiter to place a food order for one (second lunch - outside seating on Wed) Earlier business lunch - no issues - (first lunch on Tue) Actually - one other lunch - shortened session - was ver good. Here your waiter went out if his way to assist (Thu lunch)
A Versatile Hotel Restaurant
I highly recommend dining at Cintron to JW Marriott guests. The restaurant offers an excellent brunch buffet, as well traditional lunch and dinner dining. My husband and I have eaten all three meals at Cintron on a number of occasions and have always been satisfied with the options and quality of food.
Why did everything seem to be overly salty and full of bacon? Who ever heard of bacon with salmon? Tasted awful. Service was strange as well. Only good thing was the Valrhona chocolate cake. They didn't have bacon and a ton of salt on that!
Food was good - shrimp roll & chicken salad. More care could have been taken in selecting pieces of chicken to include. It was tasty, but got one large piece of cartiledge & tiny shreds of chicken with skin & fat. Waiter, Lester, was attentive.
We have been to Citron many times and have enjoyed everything we have tried. The breakfast buffet of among the very best with a wide variety of options that are well prepared and always fresh. Our server, Lester, was wonderful. He was welcoming, attentive and very pleasant. The Chef, the cooks and Lester get our compliments.

This restaurant was better than expected. We went on a quiet night, as the hotel had a huge conference that weekend and most guests were involved in 24 hour activities. Our waiter was totally accessible. Our meal of French onion soup and filet mignon, was very good. When we return to Orlando we will definitely go back to Citron.
Xmas Eve Dinner 2014
Unfortunatly disappointed with the overall experience having eaten in all of your restaurants both passed and present. the food was very mediocre some of it was cold land lacked the fitness of an establishment such as yours. My husband ordered the scollops cooked to order, even these were cold. So sad considering it was Xmas eve and we have come from England to enjoy your cuisine over the festive period.
Food Selection was very limited
The food was very tasty, especially the steak medallions. For $28.00 there should have been much more of a selection of food.

Lunch was very good hamburger, tomato bisque, thin and well seasoned fries. Will definitely return next business trip.
Great brunch. Made to order omlettes, French toast, pancakes. F Great selection of fruit, meats, breads. Good coffee.
I have eaten at Citroen on multiple occasions. The food is always good and the staff is very attentive. Both the breakfast and lunch buffets are a good value!
Good hotel food
The waiter pushed the buffet over and over. The buffet is good if you are hungry or want variety, but I had a burger and a side salad. Both were standard Marriott quality. Overall, the food was good. The service was decent (besides the "you want the buffet" over and over). Also, note the hotel makes a local ketchup that tastes sweet like cocktail sauce.
Brunch is always good on vacation--or really on any lazy Sunday and Citron is one of the best we have found in the area. It does get busy so reservations are a must and an attitude that you are going to wait in line for omelets and specialty items and the restaurant will be loud with many people! The fruit is fresh and plentiful. The omelets are basically anything you should ask for mostly fresh veggies and some meat selections. Pancakes and waffles are made t6o order. The nicest thing about Citron is they do not rush you. You can sit and talk and relax between servings.
Lunch was pleasant...the soup that day-a tomato basil- was fabulous...sandwich was average...service was quite good...very attentive...

My boyfriend and I are complete foodies. This place packs a lot of flavor in their food. Except, if your used to 5 star restaurants it is obvious that this restaurant is below 5 stars. I would rank it as 4... Considering nothing really stuck out. The restaurant is Eco friendly and stresses their use of local products and food - which is a big plus. Also, their bread was delicious. Hands down. The restaurant portion of the environment was very quiet, staff was friendly and warming, and the restaurant was very clean.
Excellent Food but Hate Location
The restaurant is located in a Marriott in a large complex. When you pull in to the resort, there is absolutely no signage for the restaurant or guidance for parking. We were in 2 cards and got stuck in lots that were $24 for parking for the day! We finally found the restaurant and still had to pay $5.00 to park despite spending a lot of money at the brunch. We waited an excessively long time for our vehicles to be retrieved when it was time to leave; it was simply a "zoo". The food itself was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the benedict, the french toast, and all of the fresh fruit. There was a wonderful selection of breads as well. However, the experience at the resort was terrible; will not return!
Service was attentive, Dinner buffet food selection was only fair but plentiful. My wife ordered the Salmon and it was very good. Wine list was adequate. My only complaint was the cost vs value of the buffet. Breakfast was the same
Very below standard
Would not go there again. The restaurant was "tired" and the furniture was very worn with the booth seats so collapsed that it made for very uncomfortable seating. The food was very mediocre. Cutlery was much too large and uncouth. Certainly not up to the Marriott standard we expected. and more like Dennys. However, our server was very good.
5/10 breakfast buffet
We arrived at Citron on 5/10 at the appropriate time (9:30 a.m.) for the breakfast buffet. The hostess, after being given our name, asked if we had made reservations at Primo. I answered "no." Then, my wife got out her cell phone (which also receives her e-mails) and showed the hostess the reservation confirmation sent by Citron. We were seating immediately. Our server, Rochelle, was very pleasant and efficient. The food was great -- especially the chocolate waffles. Except for the mix-up over the reservation, everything was very pleasant We will return.
brunch delicious dinner not special
The breakfast buffet is extensive and very good. However, the dinner buffet main dishes were only fair. One person in our party ordered grouper and the entree was tiny and undercooked. We do not overeat and prefer not to be served extremely large portions but this would have done fine on a kids menu. Service was cheerful and good. Wine was very overpriced. I would not recommend this for dinner.
Very nice Hotel restaurant
Very nice Hotel restaurant - great breakfast buffet!
Good hotel dining
Food was good particularly for a hotel restaurant. The menu had a good and diverse selection. Our server was excellent - attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
Our party of seven had a delightful dining experience. The service was attentive and very accommodating, especially to those with food allergies. The food was tasty and varied enough to please everyone.
Feb. 28, 2014
We had friends (snow birds) visiting from out of state (Delaware) and thought we would take them to Citron. It is one of our favorite breakfast buffets. They just loved the ambiance and the energy at Citron and they also thought that the grounds surrounding Citron were absolutely beautiful. Our server was nice but not overly friendly -- very professional although we did not get his name. And the food was outstanding - especially the chocolate waffles!
Some good stuff here
The evening buffet had items that were very flavorful and probably began their lives very well prepared, but some things did not hold up well for an extended time on heat (examples: flank steak and fish). Service was friendly, but slow, at times. I gave the place another chance for lunch the next day and was, overall, quite pleasantly surprised. I had a delicious grouper sandwich and the other food that passed by looked very appealing. The service situation was improved, too. I would definitely go back for lunch.
Classics and small plates
Visited on Sunday 2/16. Very good food. Care in preparation was obvious. My guest and I shared a few small plates. All were very good, most notably the shrimp and grits -excellent. Nice wine list, too.
My wife and I both had the grilled grouper a fish we relish and this was the best we have had ever. The restaurant is grand.
My family and I love this
My family and I love this place. Perhaps we are so use to the exceptional service of Viviana, Abdel, Karima and Oscar the Cheff. They always make our celebrations very specials. This time we missed them, so our experience with a different chef and a different server was n't the same. The food was very bad, not worth it!.
