We went a little after 8:00 PM for dinner. The restaurant still had a decent amount of patrons. Everything was perfect - the food was fresh and delicious and our service was top notch. Next time we are staying in Hershey we will definitely dine here again!
We'll be back!
The Chocolate Avenue Grill was a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was terrific. Due to an accident on the highway, we arrived very late for out reservation. On top of that, we only had an hour to order, eat and make it to The Beatles Concert on time. Everyone saw to it that we were well fed and on time. Thanks everyone. We'll definitely be back.

Good food, good prices, right in the heart of downtown Hershey.
Was very nice place to stop for lunch. They had lots of choices to pick from, the place was packed so it was a good thing we had reservations. Food was great we were very pleased.

I'm always skeptical about ordering crab cakes when I'm not in Maryland but, I took a chance. Glad I did. They are small but packed with crab meat with just the right amount of seasoning. I had the Yukon mashed potatoes & spinach and roasted carrots with it. Delicious meal. My server, Julie K, was very attentive. Service was fast, food was fresh, at the right temperature and properly cooked. Nice find.
All of our food was over salted and overcooked except the gremolata wings and the tuna appetizers which were delicious. Ay veal marsala was tough and my mashed potatoes were gluey. The waiter kept calling me and my daughter "dear" which I find condescending.
Best Meal in Hershey
We ate at several Hershey restaurants like The Pantry, Irv's, Hotel Hershey. Although all were good. The Chocolate Avenue Grill was the best! The panko and almond crusted chicken with cranberry risotto was delicious.
Try Jess's Favorite Salad
I loved Jess's Favorite Salad and highly recommend this mix of coconut chicken, strawberries and poppyseed dressing. It was bright and flavorful and very different. Overall the Grill was a great find for our trip to Hershey and we enjoyed this for a casual dining experience!

Food was delicious but pricey. I would have liked more spinach with my Steak Florentine. It took a while for our salads to come, but then the entrees came quickly. Great proximity to Hershey Park and Hershey Theater. Be sure to make reservations!
My wife and I met friends at the Chocolate Avenue Grill the other night. It was our first time there, but probably not our last. It was hard to pick just one item from the menu, so we would like to return to try other menu items. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.
Food was average at best. Plus we had to wait a long time to get our meal. Wife had barbeque chicken and I had Mediterranean risotto. Best part of meal was the salad with the poppy seed dressing. Service was fine.
This restaurant was delicious. Our food was prepared quickly and exceeded our expectations. We popped in for lunch while attending a conference nearby - would definitely recommend!
Server very attentive. Food was great. Enjoyed our visit and will visit again.

Overall lunch was great. The girl at the front door wasn't too friendly to my friend when she arrived. Our server was friendly and quick with all our requests. Our appetizers were fantastic. Try the mozzarella and tomato salad! My buffalo chicken wrap was perfect.
New Years Eve

Above average meal. Great kid-friendly place to eat while in Hershey.
This kid friendly restaurant in a great location offers a wide variety of food on their menu. Something for everyone. Service is good, and overall casual dining at this location directly across from the Hershey Story Museum. Perfect place for the family!
Small, unassuming place that served really good food. Had an early reservation and for a while could not figure out why the place was half empty. Didn't take long to fill it up with a waiting line to get in. A very nice menu that made choices difficult, everything looked great. When we finally decided, it turned out that it was great. If in Hershey, be sure to try it out. Worth the trip.
birthday celebration was a hit!
The Bbq Osso Bucco With Sweet Potatoes was excellent. The drinks were great as well, especially the chocolate/cherry martini. definitely would come back for another tasty sampling of their menu.
Chocolate Avenue Grill
We had a great experience here - service was great, waitress very attentive and helpful on menu items. We all loved our entrees, as well as the appetizers, and the prices were very reasonable. Not to mention the great specialty drinks. Would definitely recommend this and will go again.
Nice service. Make a reservation because they get very busy. Family friendly. Large menu. Good food.
We were going to Hersheypark Stadium for an event; and looked ahead of time online for a place to eat. The Chocolate Avenue Grill is not that big or flashy; and so if we were just driving around, we may not have stopped there. But the food was excellent; and the service quite good; and it was packed. We would definitely go back there if we are in the area again.
Outstanding Service, Terrible Food
This place reminded me of a cafeteria upon entering. And my experience didn't get much better. My soup was served slightly warmer than room temperature (not hot enough). I ordered the steak with lobster risotto. The steak was not a good cut, although cooked to my specification. The gorgonzola butter was bland. And the lobster risotto had so much cheese in it, it overwhelmed the lobster. My milkshake martini was tasty, although light on the liquor. My server was heavily seated and still managed to pay appropriate attention to each table. I never had to wait for long before she came to check on me. She was amazing. It's unfortunate the food was not up to par. This place reminds me of something I would see on Restaurant: Impossible and is in desperate need of a rehab!

Layed back casual yet upper atmosphere. U could come dressed up for date night or totally casual!! Food was excellent and the service quick and friendly.
Steak salad was great!!
Steak salad was great!!
We book the grill for an evening meal. The service was great but portion sizes, and in particular the starter were huge. We were unable to have desert or to finish the main course, but overall good food
Food and service good. Wine list is mediocre but probably reflects needs and wishes of clientele. Family oriented and therefore noisy as groups came in from Hersheypark.
Loved it all
We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent. We didn't wait long for a table and our food was brought to us in record time. The waitress checked on us several times to make sure everything was fine. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
Second visit here and very pleased!
Second time here and we were happy happy. Service has always been top notch! Recommend making a reservation on Open Table during the summer. The feta brushetta appetizer is delicious and we had it both times! Ask for extra bread with it though, you will need it because the feta dip is bountiful. Everything we have had has been absolutely delicious and perfect! Great servings. Wonderful flavors, excellent selection! Very comfortable dining experience! Good wine selections as well. Love sitting outside on their patio! Highly recommend! One of our new favorite places in town!
Server didn't know how to make mixed drink for my wife dry, bland personality.
Parents told me they liked it, after coming into town late and hungry.
Remarkable meal, again.
Our group of 5 children ages 7-11, not only enjoyed their meal but the wikki sticks kept all entertained. We went at 4:30 as to not tie up the tables at dinner time. The children menu is was awesome. After 3 days in Hershey Park the wine slushies and Chocolate stoudt beer was needed for the adults. This restaurant is truly a gem in the Hershey area
Great place for lunch. The shrimp and corn bisque was fabulous! I will always order that from now on whenever it's on the menu.; to die for! All of the salads are good-sized portions, and there's variety to suit your tastes. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I've eaten here with friends twice in just the past two weeks. There's so much to choose from that lunch never gets boring!
There must be better alternatives
After a very nice day at Hershey Park, we were looking for a pleasant place to have a nice dinner. Chocolate Avenue Grill was within 5 minutes and had good reviews. We arrived at this pleasant appearing restaurant and were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated at a nice table outside. Everything was downhill from there. Our waitress had a lousy attitude and the food was fair at best. The brisket was dry, the salads were completely uninspired and the vegetable risotto was terrible----clumps of soggy undercooked rice with chunks of vegetables. There must be better alternatives in the area.
Great Choice for Lunch
My friends and I enjoyed a terrific lunch here. With reservations, we were seated immediately. Our server Kelsey was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the crispy chicken pecan salad and I would order it again in a heartbeat. A friend ordered the roast beef wrap, which was equally tasty. We never felt rushed in spite of the fact that over lunchtime it is very busy because it is very popular. You may choose between indoor and outdoor dining. Both are very comfortable. The menu is quite varied, so there is something to appeal to every palate. This is a place to put on your "favorites" list of casual dining spots.
Great food, excellent service, convenient location
Every time we come to Hershey, this is the place to eat a great NYC style meal. The dishes range from a kids friendly meal that the kids would love to an incredible steak that will impress any food lover. Oh by the way, the salads are a knockout too. Bottom line, Love the place.

Amazing server! With the noise level not too loud but also not too quiet it was perfect. Also, got to sit on the patio, more bugs than expected but still was still a great experience with that view of the park!
nice spot on chocolate ave
nice spot in chocolate ave within walking distance of Hershey story museum. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy lunch whe the town of Hershey whizz by. Food is above average. Good salads and burgers. The Gremulota wings....not so much.
This is the second time I've been to hershey (we go every 5 years), both times, this restaurant was a must eat at. My husband and I had steak with crab/lobster sauce, the steak had a nice charcoal taste to it and they don't skimp on the crab and lobster meat in the sauce at all, it was delicious. We are going back when our babies are older and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant for a third time. The food and service has been outstanding both times we've been.
