Casa Lever Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed excellent Northern Italian food in an International Style classic. The mid-century modern decor, with romantic booths, was complemented by well-executed pasta dishes and a particularly good asparagus soup. The restaurant was very noisy around 8:30 - 9 pm, but quieter later, though music continued to be too loud. Service was attentive, however, throughout.
Excellent food and mostly excellent service
Great food and the weekend prix fixe supper menu is great value. Usually the service is excellent although this time I had a server who was a bit too eager to have us order more and have a higher bill.
Casa Lever still has it
Great for lunch--food and service are terrific. Better on an expense account. Be aware that tables are quite close together so you'll want to check out who is dining nearby if you are having a confidential conversation.

Midtown Great Spot
This is a classic midtown NYC " Hot Spot " with always great food and service. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner you can't go wrong here. Always great people watching and great food. It is the go to place for Wall Street types. The wine list has interesting Italian wines and a great mix.
From the Calamarie to dessert, the absolute best version of everything. The de- constucted NApolean was a favorite, a brilliant dessert.

We had a wonderful dinner. Food and service were very good although think waitstaff perhaps were a tad overly attentive -- stopping by a little too often to check in. The supper menu was an exceptional value and the decor of the restaurant is fabulous with Warhols all over the room.
Awesome food, our waiter was very attentive
I had the most delicious salad with a crispy poached egg on top and back truffles!
The food was excellent but it was the service - super attentive without being the slightest bit intrusive - that made this a meal to remember. And that's saying something when each of the 5 entrees and 4 starters were finger-licking scrumptious! Definitely recommended for those special occasions where you don't mind lightening your wallet appreciably for the perfect meal.

Ideal business lunch. We were seated in the quiet back section which was less of a scene, or 'seen' which was appreciated by my Suisse guests. Our server was knowledgable and just the right amount of interactive. The food was superb, especially the sea base with olives...in a delicious light wine broth. I'd forgotten about this place! Back on the list.
Our breakfast was excellent, the service we received was exceptional. Our server Mirko was most gracious and attentive to all our needs. We were indeed fortunate to have him.
A good value
Excellent food quality reasonably priced with the prix fixe dinner, which includes wines fitted for each dish (including dessert wines) in a nice dinner atmosphere with enough room around the tables so as not to feel crowded by others. The Andy Warhol works of art are superb. Good service, albeit a bit "pushy" at the outset.

Such a lovely room and great food. I love the 39 prix fixe on Friday and Saturday nights.
We Will Be Back!!
My daughter and I spent a charming evening at Casa Lever; enjoying the delicious wine, the food, the impeccable service and the overall ambiance. Can't wait to go again.
Too many dishes had extra amounts added to them
I wish the personalities in the Warhol silkscreens were identified. The noise level was too high for my taste. The fact that so many dishes had extra amounts added to them on the menu was a put off. I do not intend to go back.
Great for a retro chic midtown power breakfast!
Surrounded by Warhol portraits in a 60-ish retro chic interior of curved forms - it feels a bit like going back in time, but with contemporary food.

Given the stature and pricing of this staid venue, lukewarm decaf and sausage side, cheese loaded on only one side of an omelette and a refusal to cook sausage or bacon into an omelette seem like a serious dis to diners. I won't be back.
Great staff and fab food
We had a wonderful time, from arriving and being met with our friendly host to having a perfect meal. Although we've made reservation at a short notice, we managed to score a fabulous table. Our waiters timed food and wine service really well without fussing. Recommend for a relaxed dinner especially if you like quality food.
Just fantastic felt like we were family food amazing they could not do enough to make it perfect for us wine list very good we will be back and recommend it to anyone going to city 10 out of 10. Thanks guys for a great night David McLachlan
Lovely Valentine's outing
Chose restaurant for a special dinner - we are both foodies and enjoy excellent service (and understand you pay for that). The setting is beautiful (a la Frank Lloyd Wright) and we were ushered to an intimate booth. The service is outstanding with numerous waiters, busboys, maitre'd as well as som's. The bread basket was outstanding and unfortunatley refilled numerous times. The food was good but not outstanding for these prices except for the highlights below - (crispy egg w truffle cottage cheese HIGHLIGHT, baked eggplant, duck tortelli HIGHLIGHT, beef carpaccio, duck breast with foie gras). The alcohol tabs were very pricey and we expected this as was pointed out by other diners. All in all, an expensive evening - if you are going for an occasion, for the setting and excellent service, then it's worth it. If you are going for a foodie experience and the rest is irrelevant, skip it.
Incredible modern dishes in an 60s setting.
My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day dinner, on a last-minute weekend trip to NYC from Boston. Although the prix fixe price was higher than we would normally pay, the quality made it worth every penny. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful, and the chef built each dish to perfection. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're living an episode of mad men. Even if that vintage style isn't your thing (it wasn't my girlfriend's!), Casa Lever will surely win you over with the food (it did for her!). We'll definitely return.

Very good food. Loved it. The only thing is their wine selections is limited and focuses on very expensive wines. No much selection for less than $200 a bottle when there are fantastic wives in that price point. Good place overall..
Would definitely recommend
The food was very good and great service. We will definitely come back when we are back in NYC.
Good alternative for restaurant week
Casa Lever is always a good choice and I have been there several times for lunch or dinner. Ambiance is interesting with good location, close to midtown hotels Dinner was OK, but not as good as I expected. Probably last day of restaurant week. Also, service was not up to par with usual lunch appointments Hopefully will be better next visit
Good restaurant week dinner choice
Restaurant week dinner menu varied and good. Food terrific and staff excellent. Wine list trends toward the expensive. Noise level only significant drawback.
Awesome place for restaurant week!
We decided to go to Casa Lever because restaurant week would make it affordable. The restaurant week menu included some of the best choices from the standard menu. The food was excellent and the service was great. Loved it!
Went there to Celebrate our Birthdays with the family and everything was on point. The attention to detail was spot on. From the moment we checked in, to being greeted by the staff as we were being seated to the end of our meal we were attended to and never had to ask for anything. The food was exceptional and perfectly proportioned. We left completely satisfied and will definitely return in the near future. Thanks Casa Lever for a great evenining

After a small mix up with our reservation, great customer service saved the day. Great service, authentic flavors and relaxed atmosphere combine to offer a great choice for lunch or dinner.
Breakfast didn't live up to my dinner experience
After eating there for dinner, I was excited for breakfast. The service, however, was poor. It took multiple requests to get a coffee and our server was seemingly never around for us to order, ask for condiments and pay. It will be a while before I go back for breakfast.
Will come back
Food was excellent. Service was awesome. A little too noisy and wines are quite expensive but I highly recommend this restaurant.
We took advantage of the Restaurant Week offer and still paid nearly $200 for 2. By its self the meal was enjoyable but not at all remarkable. We were attracted to trying Casa Lever because of the hype about it and that it was located in historic Lever House. Frankly, our high expectations fell flat despite the fine food. The ambiance created by the interior design and table layout inspired a feeling of a large diner built in the late 50's...the Andy Worhol face artwork was too overwhelming and apparently was selected only for sake of interest and not to enhance the overall dining experience. We regret that although the food was good, and with so many other choices in NYC, there is no desire to come back again.

It was restaurant week, and very crowded, but they honored request for booth on side. The dinner choices were excellent and good value, My Wild boar rage pappardelle pasta , excellent, was on regular menu but equivalent to choices rest. wk. menu. Wine list is exceptionally fine, but very very pricey. Sommelier was very helpful in the $150 range.Dessert choices were quite lovely, the espresso a bit "short". Good service considering every table was taken for most of the evening. I would recommend.

Good food, great service9
Went to Casa Lever for restaurant week. I was impressed by the menu selections and option for pairing the selections with wine pairing. Bar area was packed and noise level was unbearable. Appetizers were good and portions large. I highly recommend the salmon capacious. My dinner choice was marinated skirt steak which was not as tender as I had expected. Dessert also was a bit of a disappointment. Service was excellent.
Very good experience
Went for dinner during Restaurant Week. Finally tried the place given the history of the place/building. Pleasantly surprised at the service and food which was quite good. Wine list too heavily weighted on the very expensive side which is a killer for most people to enjoy their meal and to come back regularly (just saying so you can attract more customers - A Voce has a great wine list for all budgets). Decor is a bit dated but no big deal if you just want good food and service. Will definitely come back and recommend.
Great Restaurant Week Value
Went for dinner during Restaurant Week- fantastic value and delicious food. Portions for some entrees were on the smaller side, but all of them were delicious (we had the Steak and the Arrabiata).
