Campo - Reno Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed We dined here last night and half of us enjoyed our meal. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and you feel comfortable there. We tried the crispy polenta as an app and it was good. We were about ¼ through when they brought my asparagus soup. Not good timing. Then there was a large break in-between the soup and the entree. I ordered the risotto and my wife ordered the rigatoni. I tried both so here we go: I base Italian type restaurants on their risotto. It was undercooked. It was chewy and stuck to our teeth. It needed about two to three more minutes to be properly cooked. The rigatoni was excellent. Great flavors and it mixed well. I had the asparagus soup. It was hot the way I liked it. But it needed some seasoning it was sort of bland with a strong celery flavor. I added salt and pepper and that fixed the issue. I wasn’t that impressed by this restaurant and I’m sure that we will be back to other restaurants in Reno along the river. Service overall was decent not fine dining. The location was nice along the river and there are several restaurants in the area that we will try when we get back over the mountains from Tahoe.

Wonderful food and service. We were blown away by the contrails and bee sting pizza. Would definitely go back!
Great place to eat with good food! Very busy on Fridays with a lot of noise but that's to be expected. Food is pricey but you get a lot for it.
I ordered the pizza of the day with bacon, onion, and a sweet chili sauce and it was awesome. The crust was out of this world. My girlfriend ordered the risotto with sausage which was amazing as always. Overall a great place to eat.
Mostly really good..but a few misses...
Service was suburb! Best waitstaff I've experienced in a long time. Roasted cauliflower appetizer was great - save your bread to dip inthe sauce or ask for more bread. Flatiron steak was cooked perfectly. Pork sampler was ok...pork belly was really nice but other pork was a bit dry...risotto was also reallygood. Big wine list. Location on Riverwalk is nice...would definitely andgo back.

Delicious... Always come here when we're in town... Still one of my favorite places. Pig parts makes the trip worth it!
Superb Easter Brunch
I loved having a choice of three different mimosas. Was difficult to choose which one I liked best -- berry-mint or peach. They were both great. Wait staff was wonderful and helpful with our selections. My husband loved the flat iron steak and eggs. My eggs benedict were lovely with the crab and avocado hollandaise. We will be back soon!
I have been going to brunch here for years and I love it. I really hope with having new owners it will continue to be one of my favorite restaurants.
Great service. All who were involved with our dinner were attentive and friendly. I would recommend Campo to anyone who wants a great dining experience. The menu prices are at both ends of the spectrum which makes it a smart choice.
Charming place to grab lunch or enjoy a dinner.
I've never had a bad meal here. The appetizers are pretty interesting- try the cauliflower. You won't regret it! I love coming here for lunch. This time we split a warm spinach salad and a pizza and a budino. It was delicious and satisfying but not overwhelming.

Surprisingly innovative and tasty cuisine in an interesting setting on the river. The service was A- One. Excellent risotto and pastas. Highly recommended.
Campo is the place in town to go! They always provide a great experience, great food and treat me like family.
Probably our most favorite restaurant in ...
Probably our most favorite restaurant in Reno!! Definitely our most frequented. Had the grand salumi tasting tonight with the cheeses and it was fantastic!! The Enzo pizza was delicious, as was the local greens salad. We will definitely be back!!
We have been coming here ever since they opened. The food is always good. The atmosphere is a hit edgy urban rustic and can be a bit noisy on a busy weekend. Campo was one of the first farm to fork restaurants in Reno specializing in locally farmed and raised food. Reservations are highly recommended even on a weeknight.
Started great, end result fell flat
Service was great when we first got there and the restaurant was nearly empty; however, when it picked up, our server was MIA for a good 45 min. My water glass was pretty much empty the whole 2 hours we were there. The food overall was ok. We ordered the cauliflower and escarole to start and both were great; however, I ordered a simple NY steak medium and it was charred beyond recognition. The center was medium well at best. My friends ordered pizzas, which I sampled and both were good - I think Garibaldi's in Sparks blows them out of the water though. Probably won't return.
We went to campo on the recommendations of and I did not have high expectations. However I was very pleasantly surprised. Campo has a great ambiance with a hip young crowd and good energy. The bar scene was lively. That meant it was loud but on a good way! The service was exceptional with good looking personable staff. Best of all, the food was actually great. We sampled the pear pizza, the pork platter, the kale salad, smoked cauliflower, duck pappardelle noodle dish and scallops. The flavor a were well paired and the preparation was perfect. We uncharacteristically even ordered dessert. It could not have been a more enjoyable meal.
Excellent Italian food - a surprise for New Yorker
Campo was recommended to us by someone who lives in Reno - we were catching a red-eye out of Reno. The pasta is fresh! Our waiter knew the menu and everything we ate was delicious. They also have a great wine selection. I absolutely recommend Campo.
Doesn't live up to the hype.
I've been to campo a few times. I really wanted to make sure that I truly didn't like it. Every time I go, they ask me if I have reservations. If I don't, they are downright rude and nasty. If I do, they are only rude. I've never had "great" service, only good at best. The view of the river is nice, but it is almost always too windy to eat outside in that part of town. I know, I used to live down the street. The food is "meh" and doesn't live up to the hype. Certainly not worth the price, it's so expensive for what you get! The best thing on the menu is the cauliflower (appetizer) and pizza (main dish). But if you want even better pizza, go down the street to Noble Pie. It's much better there. The pasta is either dry or chunky in texture. The sauces are often bland, and the meat is almost never cooked correctly. I think, in the future, if anyone suggests we go to Campo, I will politely decline the invitation.
Food was excellent, service was exemplary, signature desert was beyond words, will definitely return. Only disappointment was the noise level. Extremely noisy; impossible to have a conversation. Definitely go for the food...don't go for a romantic outing or date...you will be shouting at each other.
Good first visit!
My partner and I are new to Reno and were interested in finding a new spot. We chose the Valentine's Brunch menu. There seemed to be more salmon choices which is nice if you are into that but we are not. The roasted cauliflower, pain Perdue, breakfast pizza was excellent! The dessert was good except for the English muffin, it was dry. Definitely will try again!
Took my wife to Campo for Valentine's Day. Good food, good service, overall no complaints. A bit pricey but it was worth it.
Spot On As Always
Great lunch at Campo with delicious food and excellent service. The wood fired pizzas are excellent, and the kale salad is a must. Service was attentive and helpful, and just right. We always enjoy coming here and look forward to a return visit.
Great Friday night dinner with friends. Excellent food - fresh, tasty, good choice and outstanding service. Love this place.
Great apps and pizza, good for groups
I thought the entrees were slightly pricey for what they were. Loved the toasted polenta and the cauliflower appetizers. The margherita pizza was also very good. Would like to go back and sample more of the pizzas.

Always a great experience! Love Campo, it's one of Reno's most consistently delicious restaurants. Ask for Jana to be your server, she's the best!

Our server was excellent
We ALWAYS have a great experience every single time we go to Campo. Its been a favorite for my wife and I ever since it opened. Great food, impeccable service.
We had a group and they thought the food and the service was great. It was a very good lunch Would recommend reservation to speed the wait for a table. I will be going back for dinner.

Every time we go to Campo, they seat us in a boot and almost the same boot each time. You feel like you are within walls and the only person you see is your waitress. Also, very noisy. Next time, I am going to ask not to get a boot.
Good All Around Place
Enjoyed our evening at Campo. Very few people there when we arrived at 5pm but by the time we left the place was packed. Service was good throughout. Good atmosphere for both fine dining and family dining. Only complaint is the high price of the kids menu. Everything else was as good or better than expected.
Great cocktails, great service
Ruby, our wait person, was wonderful. She helped us pick items on the menu and was equally knowledgeable about the cocktails. Had a wonderful Old Fashioned. I don't know of another restaurant that prepares as fine a cocktail. The meal was equally good -- loved the Dory. Don't see it very often.
after the Phil
Seated on time, waitress great. Had to send pizza back as it was black on the bottom. They were very gracious and replaced it.
Not for me
Campo is a beautiful restaurant with a kind staff and a varied menu. Unfortunately, we didn't like what we ordered. I had the Along Came Pollen pizza and I was turned off because it had too much of a charcoal taste. Otherwise, the toppings were excellent and there was a lot of it. My girlfriend tried the seafood special and found out she didn't like smoked pasta. The one thing we both loved was the Baked Cheese appetizer, it had a nice spice and was fun to eat! I wouldn't choose to go back because of the price, but if I did I would order something else.
We had a great date night at Campo! We met friends and had meatballs and a cheese plate for apps. Awesome drinks!! Entrees were great too!! The Gnocci is crazy good!!
Good food, good service
Enjoyed the food, service was good, as well... Prices were a touch high for the average restaurant. ..but this place is above average. Noise level was not what you would look for it an intimate setting...but a good vibe for a Friday night with friends. We will go again.
Good Selection in Reno
I had a reunion with a cousin that I had not seen in several years. We had great food and excellent service. The staff helped us feel comfortable and did not pressure us at any time. Everyone was helpful and our food was very good.
Nice restaurant in Reno
This restaurant feels like a restaurant in San Francisco or Napa with very nice ambiance that I would not expect from Reno. The appetizers were very tasty but the entrees were average. The service was great. Although, it was a bit odd and disrespectful to the females that the manager only asked the males about the food.
meeting new folks
Met up with new friends...great location...and service. reservations a must!
Really lovely service - they were running a bit late (and we were early), and they went out of their way to take care of us while we waited. Food was great, wish we were locals as there were way too many dishes that we wanted to try.
Wonderful Food and Service
Food is really good!!!! This place is happening and service is right on! Yummy bubbles! Girlfriends, right spot to start your night!
