About Cafe Thirty-A
Café Thirty-A is a casual fine-dining restaurant featuring grilled and fire roasted seafood, meats and poultry, wood-oven pizza, vegetarian fare and hedonistic, "architectural" desserts. The menu changes daily according to availability of ingredients. Fine wines and cocktails--including a creative menu of the best martinis in the area--complement the meal. The ambiance is open, casual, "islandy," yet sophisticated, with vaulted ceilings, upside-down market umbrellas, hand painted chairs, intimate lighting and half-wall dividers creating the atmosphere. Patrons often state, "It just makes you feel good to walk in here!" It's a fun, happening place to dine - with impeccable, yet unpretentious, service. Recent and ongoing awards are: Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Florida Trend Golden Spoon Award, North American Restaurant Association Five-Star Award of Excellence, NW Florida Daily News “Restaurant of the Year.” Private dining for 25-80 is available upstairs in the Fishbone

Cafe Thirty-A Ratings and Reviews
Snooty But Good
Wife and I took our twin girls (8 months) to dinner recently and had a 6pm reservation. We intentionally went early since we were with small children. The hostess(s) legitimately looked annoyed that we brought our small kids with us. They made us feel a little uncomfortable standing by the hostess stand while they figured out what to do….. We decided to stay and made the most of it. The server was outstanding and did his best to make our experience great. The old fashion was excellent, as was my wife's wine, and we split a wedge salad that was also excellent. She had the sesame tuna and I had the wahu fish dish. Both were fresh, flavorful, and outstanding…. Despite the rough start, the food was great and our experience once seated was very positive. The kids were also very well behaved and quiet in case anyone is interested!
Wonderful experience ! Start to finish.
Very good from beginning to end. Loved the cucumber gin martini and beet salad.
Disappointing night at Cafe Thirty-A
It seemed like they all just got out of a bad staff meeting and were in bad moods. Our waiter who waited on us in Dec. denied doing so and had an unpleasant personality and demeanor throughout our dinner. I really think maybe they have become so popular that customer focus is not really required anymore. I own rental properties on the beach on 30-A and have about 70 families that rent from me each year. After my dinner, I took Café Thirty-A off the recommended list I send to each guest for things to do and the best places to eat. Over the years it could be a big loss to the restaurant.
Still not one of my favorites
I have tried this restaurant 4 times and still can't figure out why it's rated so highly. We were greeted by Valet with " do you have reservations?" In an unpleasant tone. The hostess stand was not very pleasant either. However our server was excellent and made us feel welcomed. I believe her name was Alanna. She was very helpful with recommendations and her service was impeccable. The food was good and the cocktails were very good. The noise level was VERY high as it has been each time I have dined here. There are too many great restaurants on 30A for this to be one of my "regulars".
Anniversary Dinner at Cafe 30A
We spent a week in Seagrove, FL, for anniversary, and had an excellent anniversary dinner at Cafe 30A after it was recommended by some locals. It was a short walk from the condo we rented for the week. Both my braised shot ribs and my wife's lobster macaroni & cheese excellent. No, her's was beyond excellent: 3 halved lobster tails over a pasta in a delicious cheese sauce. Not your average mac & cheese. Our waiter Matthew had "only" been there 4 years, I think he said, but knew every dish on the menu and quickly answered our few questions about the wine list, too. On our way out, we chatted up his more senior colleague Joe, and got some more background on the place and area. We would definitely go back.
Would go again
Pricey, even with the early bird BOGO, but very good and well worth it. Wine list excellent and quite extensive, but also quite expensive compared to other restaurants.
We have never had a bad experience at 30A. We have vacationed in the Destin area for 20+ yrs and have eaten at 30Aa 35+ times. Service and food are consistent. There are many great restaurants in the area. 30A is #1 in our book. Lobster in Paradise is to die for.
Don't miss it!!
Crab cakes the best I have ever had for this NOLA girl! 90% lump crab- it's true! So light & delicious! Also, the tuna was excellent also! Great evening all the way around!!
Spring break dinner
Group of 8 last night on spring break in Rosemary Beach area--could get a reservation here upscale restaurant with white tableclothes very nice atmosphere probably best meal we had all week. Was alittle more pricey, but much better than the bar food and middle of the road stuff we had previously in the week. Highly recommend!
Cafe Thirty A is consistent and inviting. We always go back every time we are in the area for the great food and service. You always know what to expect which is what makes it so good!!

It was our anniversary - it was too bad the waiter didn't ask if we were celebrating a special day. Obviously we were... Service was not that great. I have eaten here several times and the food is always spot on. It was apparent that our waiter on this visit preferred to visit with the locals.

From the service, the ambience, the food, wine and finally dessert. Everything was superb!! Will def be back!!
This was our first visit to the area and we tried several of the area restaurants. We had a wonderful meal, as did our two children (7&11). Delicious food, great ambiance. We highly recommend!

Some of the Best Memories of my Life
Been bringing my family to Cafe30A for probably 20 years. It is one of our favorite family traditions. I've never had even close to an off experience here. This time was off the chart. It's not even fair how delicious the food is, how cool the atmosphere is, how wonderful I feel and proud I am to have all my girls here. The memories of when they were just little girls in white dresses come flooding back. It is a very special place for me. Can you tell?
Wonderful experience. This will be a staple stop on our trips to the 30A area.

We have been coming down to this area for spring vacation with our family and this was our 10th year. Durning every visit we manage 1 or more nights to be able to enjoy a wonderful dinner at 30A. In the 10 yrs. nothing has changed except maybe even better than the first time we dined at this restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the service top notch, the menu fabulous and of course the entrees and presentation in our opinion Mobil Five Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It's is always such a pleasure to be able to send evening at 30A
Have been here many times and it is consistanly good. A bit overpriced but that's what they do when your in a resort area. Wish they had a local discount. I've had almost everything to eat and you can't go wrong in what you order Highly recommended thirty -a

You must order the truffled Mac and cheese! Ours had lobster I believe....
Our dinner was fine. Seaside is a great beach town. We really don't head there for fine dining. That said, Cafe 30-A, was better than most. The menu is limited and seems to be fresh daily. We were seated upstairs, the ambiance was definitely a downer after walking into the white sparking downstairs. The upstairs looks like a dark club room used for special parties or something . It was very cold, however in the light of earlier evenings, I'm sure the sunset view is nice from upstairs . I guess I would just say our dinner was "fine". Not great, not bad.
We know the chef and owners must have changed hands because we have been coming to Cafe 30A for 16 years. The quality of food and service has gone way down. We will not be eating here again and that is sad because it was a tradition for our family.

we always enjoy 30 A--food was average for this visit which was disappointing--veal porterhouse was fair at best
Great Get Away
I loved this restaurant! It is on the pricey end as we paid about $50 a person. However, the pride is worth it! This is the perfect dinner get away while on vacation! Everyone in the restaurant was well dressed as well!
Service was excellent. Our server went above and beyond for us. Great recommendations from him regarding the menu! The snapper was delicious!!
Great service and excellent food!!

Eat there every visit to the area. Never been disappointed. Food always excellent. I take advantage of the get 1 entree for free with first entree from 5-6pm. Otherwise it might be cost prohibitive except for special occasions.
Dinner at 30A
Best steak within 100 miles, and a worthy wine list. Excellent desserts. Highly recommend this for a quality dinning expereience.
Great Early Dining
We ate at Cafe 30A after a recommendation from a local. We went for the early dining 2 for 1 special. The choices were the same as from the regular menu and the food was excellent. The service was wonderful and our waiter being from the area was eager to promote his hometown to tourists like us. It was a great experience. We will definitely return. One of our area favorites.
We try to return to Cafe 30A whenever we are in the area since discovering it 10+ years ago. The food has continued to be high quality along with the marvelous service. The wine list is extensive. They offer half bottles of a great variety. We had the Ahi Tuna and Red Snapper which were both well prepared and delicious. Our plan will be to return again.

We have been eating at Cafe 30A for over 10 years. We have never had a negative experience. The restaurant is lovely, the staff friendly yet professional and very knowledgeable of the menu choices. Always a pleasure.
Great Meal Once Again!
We have eaten at this restaurant each time we have been at the beach for almost 20 years. While always good, this may be have been our best meal. Thanks to Steve for wonderful service!
Great, great restaurant
We just discovered Cafe Thirty-A and have dined here twice. We'll be back. If you're looking for a fine dining experience, you won't be disappointed. We shared a roasted red & golden beet salad--the best we've had anywhere-- along with two entries, Moroccan Spiced Snapper and Grilled Rainbow Trout which were done perfectly. Add a couple of Martinis and we had a very enjoyable dining experience. Service was outstanding during each of our two visits this month. Cafe Thirty-A is now our favorite restaurant in the Santa Rosa/Destin beach region of Florida which is home to quite a number of nice restaurants. Highly recommended. Reservations, too.
We love 30A and as Florida snowbirds make it one of our favorite stops. Food and waiters are excellent!

The service, food and ambiance were all excellent. When I am in Seagrove again I will definitely return.
Never "Usual"; Always Perfect
Food quality, food prep and food presentation were wonderful, as has always been the case. Service was among the best of anywhere on the Emerald Coast and rivals fancy east coast restaurants. The early-bird dining special (2 for 1 on most entrees from 5-6 p.m.) is great! My wife and I have eaten there for about 4 or 5 years when we visit Destin and are always delighted.
Love this place!
What a gem! Food is good and martini selection even better. Two for one entrees every night from 5-6 pm and $5 martinis twice a week.
Special place on 30A.
Our last visit here was about 20 years ago. But was well worth the wait. Delicious food. Excellent service. Reservations recommended.
Best value fine dining 2 for 1 specials from 5-6
We took advantage of the Tini Tuesday and 2 for 1 entrees, which is rare to find in a restaurant with food and beverages as exceptional as this one. If you can dine between 5-6, the options are very good, and as with every visit we have made to Cafe Thirty-A, the service was excellent. I recommend the beet salad and lobster with pasta, but everyone's meals and drinks were amazing.
Cafe Thirty-A was a great choice for a romantic Valentine's Dinner. The glass of Champagne to celebrate with was a nice touch!
