Family Celebration

Dined on April 24, 2016

We were celebrating my son's Birthday on the night we had dinner here. To start we used the valet parking the was offered complimentary. Reservations can be made and are recommended during high traffic times like Valentines Day and Prom. We had a great Waiter and Food Service Waiter. The buffet was great and all of the meats that came around were too. The pineapple they brought around was the highlight of the evening we had that twice! We were told about the Sunday Brunch before we left and we all agreed to come back and try that soon. It was good food and good times with family.

Very expensive. Our waiter was inattentive and way too casual for this restaurant. The people who actually did the work to serve the meat were good though. I thought the restaurant was way too expensive.

Glad we tried it, but doubt we will be back

Dined on April 16, 2016

I have wanted to try Brasa for quite some time now and i am glad we did. However, the $42 a person for the Gold option is a bit steep, based on what they offer you on the cold and hot bar. The hot bar selections were disappointing and the cold bar was just okay. If you are a meat fanatic, this place is for you.I love meat, but this experience was a bit overwhelming with the continuous onslaught of meat being brought to the table. The food was okay, but $22 for the cold and hot bar and $32 for the gold option seems more reasonable then the current pricing.

Great for Spot for Dinner

Dined on April 16, 2016

I always enjoy Brasa, but especially for a small group of people or a date night. While they usually are busy and have live music most nights, it's still surprisingly easy to hear everyone at your table and talk over dinner, which I love. The food is always fantastic as well, and the service is amazing.

Good but eh

Dined on April 16, 2016

I had done my research before going here. My fiancé and I were visiting Durham and we thought this would be a interesting date even if the ratings were mixed. The ambiance is nice and the concept of the restaurant is neat. We really enjoyed the hot and cold bars. I think we tried every one of the thirteen cuts (dinner) and found all but the sausage and rare beef short rib to be overcooked and/or dry. The pineapple is excellent and probably my favorite of all the skewered products. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I may try a Brazilian steak house again but I'm not sure if it will be Brasa. Overall, it's a neat experience and worth the money for that but if you're going for the quality of the meat, this may not be the best choice.

Service Great, Food Not So Much

Dined on April 15, 2016

The food was quite bland, not well seasoned. The atmosphere was great which was sad compared to the way the food tasted. The hot and cold bar were a little more appetizing then the meats which means the price point should DEFINITELY be less. Leblon in greensboro is way better at meat selection and seasoning even down to their appetizer bar and they are half the price at dinner

Brasa

Dined on April 1, 2016

I liked the steakhouse and have been there before. It is a fun place to go for a special celebration. I am honestly not that much of a meat eater and probably should have just ordered the Silver menu since I really like the salad, hot bar, and cold bar.

Maybe because it was a Thursday night...

Dined on March 31, 2016

After hearing so many great things about Brasa, and having had many great experiences at other Brazilian steakhouses, my husband and I were really looking forward to date night there. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. Our experience overall wasn't terrible. The servers were very nice and accommodating, but our disappointment really came with the food. Both my husband and I chose platinum and we were able to try all the different meats. The experience started off well with a sausage that was pretty tasty, but then it all went down hill. All the chicken except for the curry chicken was dry and boring. The chicken curry wasn't dry, but still quite boring. The pork loin was also dry and boring. The lobster tasted good because it's lobster and it doesn't require much; the one key thing with lobster is to not over cook it and sure enough, mine was over cooked and rubbery. My husband's wasn't, so at least he enjoyed his. The lamb, the ribs, and garlic steak were all ok, but again not enough flavor. We asked for medium, and received two of the beef cuts well done. Which may not be a big deal to some, but combined with the lack of flavor, it was just a big fail; I was upset that I even bothered to remind the server that we had only received 10 out of the 13 options at that point. The only one I didn't try was the chicken hearts. I'm not a picky person at all, and there are truly not that many things that I won't try at least once. But with the bad luck we were having with everything else, I didn't want to ruin my first time trying chicken hearts. We got some sides from the buffet along with ordering the mashed potatoes, rice and beans and those were ok, just kind of bland, the sweet plantains were good, but nothing else stood out. So all in all, we spent over $150 for a dinner for 2 and the highlights of our night included the wine, sausage, and sweet plantains. I'm hoping that this was all a big fluke, so we can try it again--maybe just not on a Thursday.

Save by Mark

Dined on March 4, 2016

Our experience was wonderful as usual thanks to our waiter Mark! Our waitress served our drinks and did not return to us until she brought the bill. It was Mark that took the initiative to take responsibility for us in her absence which was impressive since he already had several tables of his own to care for. Never did he make us feel like an inconvenience after we had been abandoned by our waitress. It is because of Mark that my wife's birthday was the exceptional experience that we had become accustomed to enjoying at this establishment. My 5 stars rating for service is due to the waiter Mark, not the waitress named on my receipt. Brasa is very fortunate to have such a fine representative for their establishment! Thanks to Mark...we will return!

Terrible food

Dined on March 4, 2016

The meats were bland dry and tough. They didn't even have the usual smokey flavor they have at rodizio places. The "hot" bar was just veggies. I wouldnt pay 20 bucks for 2 people much less 100. I will never go here agin. Find a real rodizio!

dissapointing

Dined on February 20, 2016

I have been to other Brazilian steakhouses, so I had a certain expectation and to say the least was extremely disappointed right from the start. We were seated at a table in a corner that blocked a marked exit door. When someone from the table wanted to get up others had to get up. The selections on the salad bar were vey poor, I am glad no one in our party opted for the silver package as it cerainly does not provide you with much. As for the food, portions were ridiculous , the servers give you one small portion unless you ask for more, and then you get two. I was given one small chicken wing and one small portion of chicken, then had to wait until the next server came around, the portions were no bigger than a 50 cent piece. In the other Brazilian steakhouses the gave you what you asked for until you told them to stop. I will not return and will not recommend this restaurant to friends.

Not the right degree of doneness

Dined on February 20, 2016

I like my meat rare and it is usually hard for me to get the desired doneness level. In this occasion several of the cuts were extremely rare which cause some issues with several members of our party. The service was good and food came to our table frequently regardless of the color in the stones in our table. It was good but not everyone enjoyed all the cuts

Meat Heaven

Dined on February 14, 2016

This was a great dining experience. The food was delicious. The only complaint I have about it was the seating we had. Pretty close to the door on a cold day, had a chill on my back the entire time. The service was impeccable though. Never went without a meat we wanted and our beverages stayed filled up. I shall surely return when I have a urge to splurge on meat.

V-Day

Dined on February 14, 2016

On Sunday we had reservations for 5 at 11:30am. We got there on time and were seated in a matter of 10mins or so. When we arrived we instantly noticed that they did not have the usual large square tables, but small intimate tables for two. I think that should be noted when making reservations. I get that they wanted to make all of the money but it makes for poor customer service and tired waiter/waitresses. Our waitress tried her best to make sure we were happy, but it was hard. I frequent this place often, and it's one of my favorites.

Dined on February 14, 2016

My wife and I have been to Brasa a handful of times. Each of the previous times was a great experience. This most recent time was not worth the cost. The food wasn't nearly as good as previously, the servers approached our table with the same cuts of meat multiple times (as opposed to cycling through them), and the ambiance (Valentines Day) was pretty bad (awful music playing). However the staff was very friendly.
